This was mine and my husband’s 5th stay at the Maui Sunset (1st time in this unit).
Pros: The Maui Sunset has beautiful grounds and pool area which is the main reason why we love it so much and continue coming back. This was our first trip with kids ages (5, 2 &1) and they also loved the pool, hot tub, shuffle board and running on the grass. It’s very family friendly and a great central location to a lot of the island activities and restaurants. The unit itself worked well for our family of 6, the kitchen is remodelled and has everything you need to prepare meals. The spare bedroom closet is stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, toys, cooler and even a stroller. The unit is located very close to the pool which was an added bonus to be able to watch my older kids in the pool from the patio while my youngest slept.
Cons: We only have one and that is the cleanliness of the unit. It is tidy and organized but we found it could really use a deep clean. If you walked around barefoot, your feet would be black with dirt. The bathrooms aren’t updated which is fine but they need something because they have a lot of grime and mildew in and around the shower and toilets. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, spatulas, tupperware etc but to be comfortable using them I had to really clean because they had leftover remnants from past use. It just gave an ick feeling.
Overall, We enjoyed our time and it worked for our family. I would consider staying at this condo again.

This property was absolutely perfect for my family of 5. The condo was very neat and clean and provided exactly what we needed for a "Home away from home". The beach gear really came in handy!!We enjoyed the close proximity to the pool, beach and local restaraunts / stores that we would just walk to because the neighborhood was just so beautiful. The sunset every evening from the lanai was so perfect. Mahalo for sharing your home with us, we hope to return to again. Aloha!

Unit was recently remodeled and very clean. Well appointed and comfortable. Included beach items such as chairs, umbrella, towels ect. was very nice. Common grounds, pool and BBQ was well kept. Parking lot could use some love.

This was a comfortable and lovely condo!! we love the location of Maui Sunset and it's access to the rest of Maui, the lovely courtyard and pool.
The kitchen is lovely, however the appliances are terrible! (Broken toaster, blender missing a part). There are a few kitchen staples that could be added such as a large baking/roasting tray, food containers. There are a few places in the flooring that are bowed from water damage, not a big deal for us renters but the owners should know about them. One in hall restroom and the other near the kitchen. Other than that, it was clean and a great place to stay. Thank you!!

I read reviews often both good and bad to get a feel for the accuracy of the experience but rarely do I post myself. However given my experience at this place felt it was necessary:
Ant problems in the kitchen. They were coming in from the joint between backsplash and counter. The moment we left fruit on the counter the ants were everywhere. Complained to Oceanfront and was told by Jordyn that the contract indicates pest are normal and no compensation. They set up Terra ant traps on counter, sink area, island etc. Suffice to say the family didn’t really feel like eating or being in that area.
The bathroom shower area are showing their age: shower grime on glass doors, mold in the joints, dirt/grime on baseboards.
Lastly, there was a cockroach found in the front entrance - not sure if it just came from the front door or indicative of the buildings overall sanitary conditions but it contributed to our negative experience.
The pictures are accurate on a macro level but once you get in and look at the details, you see the condo for what it is; a unit that was renovated but showing its age in wear and tear.
In the end it’s a question of managing expectations; i have no problems sleeping and eating with the ants if i’m going camping, but when i pay this type of rates i expected a better experience.
In summary:
Pros: physical size of condo (we fit 4 adults , 2 kids), amenities like towels, beach chairs, appliances), pool on premise.
Cons: ants and cockroach, bathroom size and cleanliness, price.

We were very pleased with the propety. It was beautiful and clean. It was everything and more than we expected. We would reccommend this property to friends and we would definitely like to stay there should we return to Maui.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The accommodations were very nice, well kept and clean. Comfortable and well appointed. Really liked the pool and the close access to the beach (right on the property). We also very much appreciated the beach towels and chairs, which we used for our trips to the beach. We would stay here again.

The unit is more updated and beautifully decorated than many other units. The amount of extra supplies such as beach chairs was a wonderful bonus. We loved the view too!

We had a beautiful unit that was well appointed and in a great location. All units overlooked the well kept grounds. The two bedroom two bath with sectional sleeper bed which accommodated three adults and the children very nicely. Large kitchen area with lots of counter space. Our unit had a stackable washer/dryer combo and a drying rack that handled all the wet swim suits very nicely. We would highly recommend the Maui sunset facility

B215 was simply awesome!! The condo was updated, modern, roomy and had all the amenities one would expect to find. My family of 5 enjoyed the property immensely and the courtyard/pool areas were beautifully maintained. We stayed here 12 nights on this trip and will definitely be returning.

My adult niece and I spent a week at this home and were super pleased. From the moment we entered, we were impressed with how modern and clean the space was, as well as delighted with the thoughtful decor. The home is light, airy and looks just like the photos!
The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed from cutting boards, a blender, lots of flatware, dishes, etc. Perfect amenities to feel right at home, including great, clean bath towels.
The only negative feedback I have is that the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced… it has definitely seen better days. The springs are noisy and can be felt while laying down, so it was uncomfortable to sleep on.
Other than that, 5 stars for Maui Sunset B215!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gorgeous condo! The views were amazing from the lanai. The only issue was, if you didn’t take garbage out every evening, you’d get ants. So we just made a nightly trip. Beautifully decorated and had several boogie boards and chairs for use.

This was such a nice getaway from everyday life. Loved the views from the lanai. Plenty of activities for me and my family to do on site or walk to and a short drive to some great restaurants. Loved having boogey boards and beach chairs available. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a fantastic place to stay! You have a great beach just 100 yards away, and the amenities are very well kept. We found this a great place to stay as we wanted to do everything! (Road to Hana, snorkeling in Lahaina, helicopter ride, and dozens of some of the best beaches you will ever see!) When we come back I will be looking to rebook this property!

We enjoyed our time here at Maui Sunset 215b. The cleanliness and nicely updated space made it a wonderful way to vacation. We appreciated that the condo provided beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. The pool and shuffle board facilities were a fun treat for our family. The sunsets each night were the icing on the cake for our days spent on the island. We are looking forward to planning a visit again soon. I'll start with the good.
-Unit was very clean

What I consider the Bad..
-Description for this rental stated that the Master Bedroom had a television. It did NOT. Only a monitor for watching DVD's. Management office confirmed it's not a television. I have horrible insomnia & have a routine... very disappointed & irritated over their error.
-There were notices put up informing everyone that a scheduled "dethatching" of the grass would take place shortly after our arrival & would last either 3 or 4 days. Once it started we could no longer enjoy the balcony during the day. The noise was LOUD with a large crew operating mowers, 4 wheelers, etc. Had we been informed of this scheduled procedure I would NEVER have booked for those days. We should have been informed. Dethatching left the grounds brown & ugly, not the beautiful green at our arrival. The day after all the dethatching noise, a crew set-up a tent & began what looked like a plumbing repair/maintenance w/ generators & equipment running non-stop. Another day of no balcony. Another notice about fertilizing the grounds the following day & stay off the grass. Another day we couldn't sit outside or open the doors because the smell was VERY strong & awful. This isn't a matter of complaining it's the fact that 5 or 6 out of our 9 days were NOT peaceful ones. I'm somewhat disabled & stayed at the unit most of the time but felt like I was trapped inside. I rent a lot of VRBO properties & I've never experienced anything like this. To think I paid full price.
-AC unit in MB bedroom is loud & would turn on/off constantly in both BR's. The only way to stop the constant on/off was to lower temp from 74 to 70.
-No instructions for the LR TV despite 3/4 remotes. A Welcome booklet would be helpful.
-3 pairs of brand new jeans were accidentally left in dresser because my adult daughter forgot to get the extra packing bag from the car & remembered while at airport. Sent email to mngmt. who said housekeeper didn't find anything. It was 100% fact the jeans were left. I asked her to be "re-asked" & still denied. Asked mngmt to ask current renters...which they didn't. Now they say they checked AFTER tenants left & (of course) didn't find them. This was handled poorly & without integrity.
I LOVED the place but NOT the experience.

My wife and I and our 3 year old daughter stayed in B215 for 9 days and it was perfect. We have another time share condo at the Maui Sunset so we're familiar with and love the property, but this condo definitely met our expectations. Appliances were top notch, the place was super clean, there was extras like beach chairs, boogie boards, games etc.
The only side note was the last couple days we noticed house flies appearing on the inside of the window, coming in from somewhere we couldn't find. We kept the place spotless, always removed the trash, etc...but couldn't find out where they were coming form. Ended up killing about 30-40 flies over the last couple days on the windows. Not enough to stop us from wanting to stay here again though! 5 Stars for sure!
