CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Kaanapali Shores Resort is under spalling construction until around June 2024. We would like to advise you that there could be construction noise during your stay. We are not sure how much disruption will occur. You may experience construction noise, one day it can be loud and on other days it can be quiet.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.
IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Solo traveler. I stay at this property several times a year. Close to grocery store, and a few restaurants. Room was clean, well stocked kitchen, nice view of the pool/garden area. Property management promptly answered any questions I had. Would rent this room again. Highly recommend!

This property is the perfect place for a Maui getaway. It has all the features you’d need, like a small kitchen, shower, bedroom, living room, balcony. The room even comes with some beach chairs and coolers which was awesome to have to bring down to the beach which is super close. This property overlooks one of two pools, and it overlooks the more pretty pool. It has gated parking, on-site restaurant and bar, any many more things. The location is central to everything in Lahaina which made it awesome, and only a 10 min drive to really anything other than Hana/Pa’ai. Awesome place!

That view though! My husband, 8 year old son and I stayed here for 10 days over spring break and were very happy. Place is small but perfect, because if you are hanging out on your room, why are you even in Maui!? Not cramped though. The pools are EPIC and easy access to all. I would highly recommend this place.

View great! The unit could use some help..No room for error in supplies. One side toaster worked, light broken, bare essentials in supplies. Washing machine very noisy like on last leg. Never did get TV goivery difficult to operate, Basic on linen. ? Pool key not there. Mattress sagging-could use a new one!

The location is great with lots of groceries, rentals and food trucks. We had to wash the blankets prior to use but it had everything you need for cooking and sleeping. Nice view of pool. You cannot use free amenities when booking through them because they are not part of the resort. The bell men cannot help you, they will not give you ice, but overall it was decent stay.

We were notified a few days prior to our trip that we wouldn’t be staying in this exact unit, but a different one on the first floor. So this review is for the unit we stayed in (#144). Unit was beautiful, newer finished, and clean. The only annoyance was the construction happening next door, and workers walking in front of our patio all week. We should’ve said something, but didn’t. Otherwise, beautiful place!

The condo was perfect, well maintained and clean and very thoughtful with the provision of surf board, beach chairs and basic toiletries. We took up 3 rooms for 3 families all by the same host. Overall, all 3 families enjoyed the stay of 5 nights. The community itself is stunning . The beach is right there to walk by. The swimming pool and hot tub were are go to every single day and was gorgeous to look at from the balcony. It was central to all locations and was easy for our activity filled vacation . Very well organized community with gift store, restaurants and food trucks nearby, and with an in house restaurant, bar that served up amazing breakfast , cocktails and food options . You will absolutely not regret booking your stay here if you are in Maui.

Our stay was fine in Kaanapali Shores. The pictures were accurate. Comfortable bed. Appliances are a bit outdated & in my opinion the living room carpet needs to be removed. There were some minor issues I shared with the property management group but I received a partial refund for the inconvenience. Location and on property amenities were great. It’s a good place for a couple and family to stay. All in all our stay was nice.

I liked the view from the balcony and the quietness of the bedroom. I slept really well, swam everyday. The only thing a little strange was the bathroom had these overhead lights that had something on them. The tub and shower were clean, but the overhead lights had mildew. They provided two beach chairs, two towels and coolers for the beach. I would stay here again.

We had a great time staying here. The room was perfect for my boyfriend and I and was even better looking in person. The view was spectacular and just a minute walk down to the beach from our room. We walked down to watch the sunset on the beach every evening. We also snorkeled at the beach right there every day. It’s conveniently located to many destinations in Maui nothing was too far. The property managers also checked in with us multiple times throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. I will definitely be back!

Very nice unit with lovely view. Resort is great. Has 2 nice swimming pools with restaurant by the pool by the beach. Waiter is serving both pools. Very good food in the restaurant and drinks are real.. Try dip fried calamari. Will go back there some time in the future.
