Excellent view! Loved the screened in lanai with all of the windows and the back door access to the ocean. Beautiful sunsets from the lanai and loved the sea wall and sounds of the ocean. Excellent snorkeling right out the back door and a little to the left. Loved the location and proximity of restaurants. Plenty of storage space for our family with 2 teenage boys. Very responsive owners.

This was a wonderful way to spend our down time. Close to the things we needed for necessities. Close enough for us to the activities we did. Very quiet area. It was a little challenging to maneuver accessing the beach but the beach was nice. The water was calm enough for us. Family did some snorkeling. Beautiful sunset. Loved the porch. The family loved right outside and standing at the stone wall to watch the ocean. If we ever come back to Maui we hope it is available again. We were struggling a little with towel availability because there were only 4 beach towels and there were 4 of us. The towels usually weren't dry in enough time for us to use dry ones the next time. Easy fix though if we had our own. Thank you for a wonderful stay and adding to our amazing Maui experience. ❤️

The access to the beach is literally out your lanai. The views are spectacular and the waves crash just below the unit. The unit itself is nice but a bit dated. Not enough beach and bath towels. I texted the service manager to ask for more but never heard back :( You will definitely want a rental car if you’re planning on going down to Lahaina and Kaanapali or up to Napili, or exploring the island.

Loved this condo it was everything you need for a beautiful vacation in Maui and more ! Gorgeous sunsets right off the porch , super comfortable bed with a great ac . We loved they had everything for a nice beach day available , chairs , snorkel gear , cooler and even a hat ! It was awesome! We didn’t get to use it but there literally a huge food truck park right Across the street easy walking from condo and an easy 15 min walk to whalers village with awesome restaurants ! We loved dukes ! Easy 8-10 min drive to downtown Lahaina which was full of great shops and activities . We loved fleetwoods , mala and duckhi for our lunches /dinners ! Also check out Merrimans if you can get a reservation too it was PHENOMENAL ! MAHALO for a wonderful stay ❤️

My wife and I spent a glorious week in your condo.. Everything was convenient and clean when we arrived and we immediately opened the large window doors and spent many hours staring out at the ocean and sky with its many shades of blue. We also saw a family of Whales playing halfway out to the horizon in the first half hour, and even a turtle swimming close in. The distant Islands, the constantly changing weather patterns and the sounds of the ocean gave an air of mystery and romance to the whole scene.
I found the front walkway area next to condo very convenient to sit, read and soak in some sun. The pathway and steps to the beach are also useful, as is the freshwater spigot for washing off beach sand.
We only turned on the Television once during our stay…to watch a film and eat some popcorn. We found the row of food trucks nearby incredibly convenient as well, and we found the kitchen well stocked with pans and utensils which turned out to be adequate for most of our needs.
The bed mattress and pillows were very comfortable.
We look forward to returning some day soon.

We loved the layout and amenities of this condo. The very best part, besides the view was the shower! Good location as well. The only caveat was the lack of access to the beach next to us. We were aware of that before coming, thanks to a family member who is familiar with Kaanapali but, as first time visitors to Maui, we didn't realize how challenging it would be to park at the various beaches. Had we be able to navigate to the beach that was so close without having to drive over with our chairs, etc., it would have been perfect!

You won’t get a better view in all of Maui - that I’m confident of.
The condo itself is clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to make dinners during our trip. The bed in the bedroom was extremely cozy, and the pull out bed via the sofa was actually very cozy as well!
They even provided snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, and a cooler for us to use!
The pool is just across the lot (a 30 second walk), and is quiet, low-key, and has a whole outdoor picnic table area open for use. There’s also a clubhouse with a kitchen and games available for use. I honestly preferred it to busy, crowded resort pools!
It’s about a 5-10 minute walk (we have small kids, so we tend to take longer) to the food trucks in one direction and Duke’s in the other. One thing to note (and this has nothing to do with the condo but rather a head’s up to families), the food trucks are NOT cheap. On average you’re looking at $18-28 per item. The food is great, but don’t plan on “saving money” by eating at the trucks vs a sit-down restaurant!
The staff was quick to answer our questions via text, and the guest portal they provide has tons of helpful information about the condo and the island itself.
Though the gorgeous cabana room, you have access via a sliding door to the patio, and a staircase that leads down to the beach is just a few steps outside of the condo. Depending on the tide, this can be a dangerous route to the beach, and I definitely don’t recommend going that way if you have kids. If you walk to the other end of the patio, there’s another beach entrance that’s much safer and easier to navigate.
The beach itself is great, we even saw a giant sea turtle in the surf!
Overall, especially for the price, this condo is absolutely amazing, and I very much hope to rent it again in the future!

The property was very nice, well equiped and so on. The photos of the building in the listing and elsewhere show a small beach in front of the property. That has completely erroded and there is nothing there except rocks. Erosion has taken most of the beaches to the left and right as well. Not blaming the owner but I probably would have rented elsewhere had I known there was nothing. The goal was to be waterfront with beach so we would not have to get in car to be on the sand..

Property was very small, but was on the water which was nice. The issues were loud neighbors, up talking loudly and banging past 3am. Also the shades that cover the sliding glass window leading from the living room to the sun room were missing over 10 blinds, so there was no real privacy at night. Lastly there is an ant infestation in that unit, there were ants in every room, on the counters, floors, and tables. Wouldn’t recommend it in the condition that it was in. Definitely wasn’t worth the amount of money we paid.

Really enjoyed our stay. The property and room was central west side, so a great location for us to snorkel many beaches. Loved the screened dining room being so close to the ocean and listening to the waves every morning. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the worn mattress. We would go back to this place in a heartbeat. Thank you

Ease of registration and communication regarding check in was magnificent!
We were delighted with the ease of viewing whales etc from our Lanai. A beautiful beach was steps away from unit 108!
The kitchen was filled with almost anything needed for light or full meals. We found a blender there that made adequate smoothies!
We would definitely reserve again but would insist on a functional safe as I Was uncomfortable with the fact that the safe was out of service in our unit! Made the times when we could not take our valuables with us tinged with anxiety!

Great little unit for our family of 4. The walkout patio was great for cleaning our dive/snorkel gear and sandy kids easily and made for a great little exit onto the seawall deck for the kids to run around. Beach next door was a bit rougher than others but still fun to play in. We absolutely let’s the “Non-resort” feel of the Maui Kai Condos. Small, community feel was so laid back without a ton of strangers to share the place with. The little community pool area was a nice place to meet other families and hang out in the evening while grilling. The condo itself had everything we needed and was very well equipped with kitchen, first aid, cleaning and beach supplies. Already looking toward our next stay!

We enjoyed the location of the unit which is adjacent to a beach. There is a grocery store, Times Supermarket, close by as well as a food trailer park which we enjoyed. The unit was fine and we would stay there again. For us, the lanai view was wonderful and a reason to stay here. Yes, we saw whales and turtles from the unit and the beach. Mahalo!

This was our first time to Maui and the property was exactly as described. VERY clean and the grounds were immaculate. We looked at the 'higher end' resorts and we feel that Maui Kai was positioned as one of the best for our stay - with incredible views of the surrounding islands and turtles, whales and seals right at our back door! The staff was incredibly responsive and courteous. We arrived at midnight and were very weary after 12 hours of travel and a 6 hour time change. I must have read the entry instructions wrong and couldn't find the keys to get in. Mike responded to our call within seconds and was patient as we tried to figure out how to access our keys. We hope to visit again and will be choosing Maui Kai for any future stays!
The only item that did was not in working order was the safe, which we decided we did not need. I highly recommend this unit and property for couples especially - just the right size!

This condo is a sweet deal! Location is perfect for access to the beach, a boardwalk, a grocery store within walking distance. Yet it is relatively quiet! Only complaint we have would have is the blinds in the living area are missing SEVERAL slats making privacy impossible in the evening.

We needed to catch a break from Covid mania and spent most of our time relaxing. This was a great place to do it. The "front porch" area was our go to place. From there we could step outside to the lounge chairs and a few steps to the beach. The internet was great and we did some "bingeing" with no "spooling" problems. Overall a great week!!

Everything was perfect except the check in. I arrived 10:30pm and nobody was there. I didn’t have a key or instructions how to get my keys. Thanks to Miguel (the manager in charge of the condo) who answer his cell phone and came to the lobby to help us

We completely enjoyed the 8 days we spent here. The unit was clean, comfortable and well furnished with kitchen and beach supplies, and the location was perfect. We especially loved the screened in lanai that was right on the ocean and gave us a perfect view of the gorgeous sunsets each evening. We couldn’t have been more pleased!

The place is small, yet everything you need for 2-4 people (sleeper couch). The view off the porch is incredible, and you can snorkel right from there. I did get an error code or something when trying to use the oven, so I just used the grill at the pool. The only downside was the central air kept turning off (kind of frequently) and you’d have to reset the fuse at the fuse box (right next to the thermostat). Not a huge deal to me. Communication was great. I even left something behind on accident and the property manager went and got it for me and drove it to where my mom was staying, being that I was already back home. All in all, there were a couple flaws but they didn’t compare to the location and the views, especially for the price. I would definitely come back.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this condo. Beautiful views. We so enjoyed sitting out on the Lanai. We even saw dolphins from afar. Thank you for providing binoculars for use. All amenities as described online. Pull out coach was comfortable for our kids.
We enjoyed walks on the beach and to the local food trucks down the way.
We utilized the concierge service, Jesse was so helpful in assisting us with our excursions. Also the Property manager was attentive and went above and beyond for our request..
Definitely would come back..Thank you for a great stay.

Spent a week at this condo with my family of 4 with 2 young daughters. Awesome location, nice relaxing condo. Condo was ground level so we could walk out to the water. the balcony/patio was superb for eating while listening to the calming ocean. Condo was in good shape updated but had a couple minor issues - 1) the blinds were broken and kept falling when you try to close/open them 2) the microwave / fridge is old & outdated, they need to upgrade those.
With that being said we had an amazing week in Maui and will stay here again if we were to revisit.
