We love the Hale Hui Kai! It’s such a chill spot. The condo was very clean and well stocked including beach chairs, ice chests, boogie boards. Martha and her team was very accommodating and gracious. We would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with all the amenities for indoor and outdoor fun. This place has it all, beach and pool access. Fully equipped kitchen, tons of outdoor toys to take advantage to the 2 mile long beach, as well as tons of games and stuff for when the wind or rain kicks up. We had a blast and will be back.

Wonderful location on a beautiful beach with sunsets that can't be beat. The owners have thoughtfully supplied it with everything you need for a week at the beach. WiFi and air-conditioning were perfect. Only downside was shared laundry.

The place was clean, comfortable and had everything we could have needed. Very thoughtfully stocked kitchen, with spices and many other necessities. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella and other beach supplies also provided. The beach right in front of the building was amazing, the pool looked good too but we didn't have time to use it. Thank you!

This place is in a cool old building with chill old timers who have been coming for years. Quiet and convenient. Convenience store a couple buildings over. Very well equipped with beach supplies. Nice natural area within walking distance. On the last day we walked all the way down the beach path in the shishi side of town and felt smug.

This is a lovely unit in one of the most desirable locations on Maui, right on a fantastic beach and a quiet section of Kihei on the border of Wailea. The unit was clean and cozy and well stocked/supplied. This unit is closest to the road, and you can hear cars from the living room when the kitchen windows are open, but it's not loud. The fountain in the garden outside the lanai is a great idea. Martha is a terrific property manager and will take great care of you. We would look to stay here again in the future.

Stocked with everything you need for the beach, which we were just steps away from. The kitchen had more than my own and made it very easy to dine in occasionally, which you will want to do… it’s expensive out there folks! The pool area and loungers were the perfect way to end the day with a sunset. Easy to get to everything from here, learned our way around very quick. Walking distance to shops and stores up South Kihei Road. And beautiful homes and high end shopping the other way in Wailea. I have already recommended this condo to a few friends! Thank you for a great stay.

Fantastic property with upgraded kitchen and bathrooms. Close to the beach and unit fully stocked with beach gear. Beach itself is great for swimming, snorkeling, and anything else including walks on the beach. Quiet unit and close to restaurants and quick access to main road to see the rest of Maui. Will definitely stay here again!

The condo was equipped with most of what we needed and that was helpful since we flew in from Atlanta, GA. However, there was a constant 'damp' smell in the bedrooms. It was not mold but due to the rooms getting no light whatsoever, a damp smell permeated the beadrooms and you could not get rid of it. The condo also had an extremely poor internet connection which contantly was spinning and re-connecting. Everything is viewed through the internet now; calls, TV, laptops, computers, phone - and having a good connection is critical. We could not watch any TV in the condo due to constant connection problems and it was the same with our ipads. Very frustrating. There also should be easier access to the laundry room. No information was given as to hours of operation for the laundry, how to get the access code for the laundry to work, etc.

We had a great stay! The unit is closest to the front entrance and therefore no ocean view. It is, however, very nice and cool and we rarely had to use the AC. It is the best stocked unit we have ever stayed in on Maui. It had everything for cooking, cleaning, towels etc. We did find the laundry facilities a bit difficult to operate since you need an app to pay for the cycles. The app didn’t work well and would often times not pick up the machines. But other than that, we had a great stay. The location is great as it is right on the beach and close to other amenities.

We walked every morning at the beach which is right there on property. No need to drive to other beaches, the one there was perfect. We loved that the condo had everything for a beach day, towels, chairs, umbrella and cooler! The kitchen had everything you would need to make your meals if you wanted to cook vs eat out. Would love to stay here again if we ever come back to Maui!

Hale Hui Kai is a wonderful old Hawaiian complex. The condos feel like home - our condo had two bedrooms and two baths and a large kitchen. Everything would have been great, but for construction at the property next door. The noise and smells made it impossible to be in the room on week days.

We were so happy with the location of hale hui Kai on keawakapu beach. The snorkeling is steps away and the beach was perfect for morning walks and runs. We also enjoyed the boogie boarding, swimming and sunsets. The boat dock is around the point for catching tours to Molokini crater. South Kihei offers good access to the south beaches, the volcano and the east side of the island. The airport is within 30 minutes. The weather was pleasant with breezes and sun. The ceiling fans kept us cool in the condo. The lanai felt private and there was a soothing fountain on the lower patio. The location of the condo is very convenient to the parking and laundry. A smaller car would be recommended as the parking is tight for larger SUVs. The condo supplied us with everything and was very comfortable. Martha is a lovely manager of this property.

We love this home away from home. Beautiful beachfront access. The condo has all the amenities and what you don't find, the management bends over backward to provide. Situated steps from the beach, and snorkeling, swimming, we were in and out with ease. We appreciated the strict rules about cleaning away the sand before coming inside, nothing more frustrating than sand inside in the rugs and halls. Amazingly, the condo is immaculate. We wanted to see more of the island, but without a car, getting around was limited. The manager set us up with her concierge who arranged for a boat tour, snorkeling, and the spectacular helicopter tour over the volcano. All in all, a perfect vacation. Thank you!

We stayed in this condo for a week. The location is perfect! The only problem we had was how vigilantly the management presued sand in the hallways. We were actually awoken at 7:50am one morning from a knock on the door to tell us to wash sand off before we came in, which we had but being right in the beach it's near impossible to get rid of it all. We also got a noise warning at 8:30pm the first night we were there while playing cards, even though quiet time is 10pm (and we weren't being overly loud for 8:30pm anyway). Overall we loved Maui and would definetly stay in the area again. Just maybe some where else where we wouldn't be harassed for enjoying the beach and sun. We kind of felt like we were walking on eggshells whenever we came back to the condo.

We just returned from our stay in unit #201 at the Hale Hui Kai in Maui. We stayed for a little over two weeks and loved this unit. We were a party of 5 – my husband, 4 year old son & I and my parents. We had read in other reviews that this unit was well stocked in the kitchen and for the beach - we were not disappointed! It is literally just a two minute walk from the room to the beach. My husband and I snorkeled right off the beach and saw lots of coral and fish. On a number of occasions we saw sea turtles while snorkeling! Our overall stay was excellent and the only thing that would have made this trip more comfortable was to have air conditioning in the unit.

This unit is/was amazing. You can't get any better than this. The complex is right on the beach. If you forgot something, you can just run back and get it. Quiet and peaceful. Unit has everything you could want or need for your vacation. Tastefully decorated and very modern. We are already planning our trip for next year. My greatest friend and I took our kids to Maui for 10 days this spring and picked this unit for several reasons - we could not have been more pleased.
To begin with the unit is quiet and private - out on the lani you feel like you are in a jungle with your own waterfall! It was the perfect size for us and was outfitted with everything we needed and more. With very nice furnishings around the home from the kitchen to the baths - the unit was absolutely perfect.
What a gorgeous property! Extremely well maintained with botanical gardens everywhere you look, the perfect lawn out front for sunset cocktails, a beautiful Koi pond and of course its 5 steps to the beach. We put a lot of time in on the beach and could not have been happier to have our amazing condo a 1 minute walk away if we needed anything.
Overall, this place make for the perfect vacation spot. We will no doubt be coming back year after year and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to go to Maui.

We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely this unit was. It is very cozy and it was better than the pictures look on the website. The kitchen is well furnished and very easy to work in. The condo has
everything you need for ocean fun; fins, snorkels, towels,buggy boards What we didn't have Martha furnished. I was traveling with my 2 year old granddaughter. Martha lent us a lifejacket and raft,
age apporpieate, that she has for her grandchildren. I can't thank Martha enough for all the help she
extended to us on our visit to Maui. I would recommend this unit to anyone that wants to visit Kihei.

This was our first stay at Hale Hui Kai, but will not be our last. We were familiar with Keawakapu Beach, which has to be one of the best kept secrets, and best beaches on the planet. It joins with two other small beaches at the south end, and is about a mile of luxurious smooth sand and typically gentle surf.
HHK is classic old Maui architecture and this unit was very nicely updated. It had literally everything, and Martha made sure that we were always content, and had what we needed. This was the first time that we did not have a prime ocean view condo, and it was worth the price difference. If you're wondering whether or not to rent here, do this!
