We have stayed at Hali'i Kai before, but never in an upstairs unit. We loved having the 2 balconies and being upstairs with the enhanced sunset and ocean views. It was fabulous! This unit is very well-kept, and the property manager was super-responsive and very easy to deal with. This property manager does a mid-week clean and provides extra toilet paper (yes, our prior property managers have told us we have to buy our own toilet paper when we book a 2 week stay--unbelievable given Hali'i Kai prices!!!). We absolutely enjoyed this condo and this property manager especially. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The location was great and the view from each window was lovely. We enjoyed being so close to the ocean. Beds were very comfortable, a/c worked great. The only challenge was parking. We had 2 vehicles, and only allowed one space. We had to arrange parking each day with our older kids. Otherwise it was a great space. We would stay at this location again.

We loved the townhouse and the ocean view. Saw so many whales! Ate every meal on the deck table which sat 6 of us. The beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well set up for cooking at home which we did. Only wish was to have a personal bbq at the condo as the BBQs were a distance away but not a big deal. Would return!

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this unit and complex. We enjoyed the pool, the restaurant and the evening music. It’s a great location between the north end of the island and Kona. I highly recommend the unit. We had one minor issue we left the gate keys in the unit with the unit keys. Communication with the management company was difficult and not proactive. Would this keep us from staying and this complex again, no. Would we rent this unit again. I’m not sure. At the end of your stay don’t forget to take the gate key to the front office.

We had a lovely week at the property and truly enjoyed our stay. We loved the townhome and found the check-in/check-out process very easy. The townhome was spacious and clean. We cooked several meals and the facilities were great. Having some beach towels and chairs were really handy. The Ocean Club pool, gym, and restaurant were all wonderful. Views from the townhome were amazing. Location is fantastic! The listing should be updated just to remove the information regarding one of the beds being capable of splitting into two as this is not actually possible, but other than that, everything was just as promised.

over all property was excellent. view was incredible and rooms were terrific . very comfortable beds. but the guest bedroom mattress protector n sheets were dirty and we had to wash them after our first night.
the lights dont work properly .deck off the kitchen light didnt work by the switch came on on its own. the guest bathroom upstairs shower leaked the carpet was wet. kitchen was well equipped and was nice to see cold drinks in the fridge when we arrived. Access to the pool was easy but drinks are very over priced . overall a great 11day vacation.

Great condo with views of the golf course and ocean. We saw whales everyday while sitting on the lanai! The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our week together.
The Ocean Club was an added bonus with a great pool, tables for afternoon card games and bar/restaurant for drinks and pupus - weekends there was live music.

When we arrived, the carpets didn’t appear to have been vacuumed, there were feathers from the couch and pillow everywhere and the area rugs were pretty dirty and really need replaced. The refrigerator was not cleaned, it was terribly streaked and just looked dirty with prints all over it and the ice maker in the door had a terrible build up on it.
The listing of what was included in the condo was inaccurate. It said water would be stocked and we arrived in the middle of a crazy storm and there was no water so we had to go back out in the storm to get water from the market. We thought there was a blow dryer so I didn’t bring one and had to go buy one. The day we arrived, I texted the property manager to inquire about cleaning services, primarily because of the dirty floors and fridge and was told they’d check and get back to me. I never heard back from anyone so we vacuumed ourselves, yet housekeeping showed up unannounced, very early, one morning. Overall the unit needs some updates and removing some unnecessary furniture would open up the living area, but overall it was a comfortable stay, and the views are incredible which is primarily what you’re paying for.

The condo is lovely. Great views and loved the decks. Two small improvements could be made: main shower spray was a little violent and there were no laundry baskets. Pool was too quiet for teens/kids (not allowed to throw a ball etc) but perfect for relaxing adults.

Our 9 day stay at 9F was fantastic. We’ve stayed at a number of condos over the years at Hali’i Kai, and 9F was by far the nicest. The upscale Hawaiian interior decor, fabulous ocean and golf course views, and quiet surroundings added to our positive experience. Elite Management was great to work with. Highly recommended!

The unit is very nice from an aesthetic point of view. The condo is missing a barbecue grill, very limited on cleaning supplies that you end up having to replace those yourself. The kitchen spices were non existent, not even salt or pepper. It would be nice if you knew ahead of time that there are not any spices. It is in a excellent location of Hali’i Kai. There was a mix up on the front end with the property manager but was finally resolved.

Property was great. Exactly As described in the listing. We didn’t spend much time there as we were busy at the beach, out boating, or out to dinner. The only negative (which is not the fault of the property owner) is when we went to the pool on Thanksgiving day there was no bar service. Not a big deal. We each brought a water bottle down as it was pretty hot (86). The woman who works at the pool was so rude, not just to us but other families with kids etc., walking around telling people they couldn’t bring a container in from the outside. This policy makes perfect sense IF they had the snack bar open & a way to keep you hydrated etc. I understand the policy but the rudeness of the attendant is completely unnecessary. The view is lovely, the beds comfy and location was great. Thank you!

The home was exactly as advertised and perfect for our family. (Two 18 year olds and a 15yo travelling with us). I would definitely recommend a stay here.
The management company was very proactive and easy to deal with. We enjoyed the trail from property in both directions (Beach 49 to the right and A-Bay and Hilton to the left) and enjoyed golf on site, and the sunset views from the Lanai were breathtaking.
A BBQ on site would be a much needed addition as the community ones were too far away to be feasibly used. Our only issue was with the staff onsite at the pool/gym. One man was VERY rude to us and other guests on several occasions. The rules are clear, shirts are required when in the pool bar/restaurant but he yelled at my son for working out in the fitness area without a shirt (no rules posted against this - and it’s an open air area, midday in the sun) The next day the same man allowed pool guests at the bar with no shirts. We witnessed this same staff member speak very rudely to several guests during our stay. Some guests were rudely told their children couldn’t “play” in the pool, the next day others were throwing footballs and jumping from the sides (let the kids play!).
Besides the BBQ and the inconsistency in pool/gym policies the resort is wonderful, well taken care of and the home was an excellent home for our week on the island.

I love this property. This was my very first rental from any site and I loved it so much. I am actually looking to rent again in 2 months. The owners had the entire place setup with everything we needed and just made our stay very very nice. The area, the amenities, everything was just fabulous. Great location- it had everything we wanted: pool with restaurant, comfortable rooms/beds for 3 couples, beautiful grounds and a view of the water. We enjoyed sitting on the lanais and watching golfers and the sunset. The kitchen had the dishes we needed, plenty of towels, and there were some beach items provided too.
There was some mis-information from the property mgmt company renting this unit and the on-site front desk, which was slightly frustrating, but nothing that was a game changer. Overall it was a great place and we’d stay again!

We live in Hilo, and came over the mountain in search of sunny weather, and were not disappointed.! A great place to unwind and admire the sunsets from our lanai. An easy walk to the pool. There were many restaurants close by, 5 minutes to Lava Lava, with tables on the beach! We enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely be back!

We loved the condo. Very spacious and extremely well appointed. Comfortable in every way. The location is superb with golf course and ocean views. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if a couple things could be taken care of. One, you need a bar-b-que on the deck. It is way too far to carry food to and from the public BBQ. Second, upstairs deck furniture was not cleaned and bird droppings were everywhere. Third, the TV remote in the living room is shot, or needs batteries, or something. It is really outdated and cable company should update them for you. Hali'i Kai is a wonderful place to vacation. This condo is one of the best.

Took my 14 yr old daughter and 16 yr old son. It was perfect. We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. Pool is great. Views are amazing. Close to beaches, shopping, resaturants and grocery. Hope to go back and would definately recommend.
