We had an extended family trip with 8 people, ages 13-67, and had a great time. This house is beautiful. The host company was responsive.HOWEVER, the pool is NOT heated. If you're visiting and it's cloudy or rainy, the water will be cold. Similarly, the primary method of heating the shower water is solar. After several cold showers, we got an answer from the host company that we needed to turn on the auxiliary heater for the showers. The cold showers were frustrating, and if you didn't remember to turn on the heater every day, then you had to wait 20 minutes after turning it on to get hot water. The heater would auto shut off at the end of every day.

This is a fantastic house with lots of space for a large family and plenty of bathrooms. The view from every room is incredible. Two negatives: The driveway is very aggressive, but you get the hang of it quickly. The pool was too cold to swim in, but that is no one's fault. We had a wonderful time, but it was hard to leave.

We had such a nice stay, thank you! The house had everything and then some.. very comfortable for our 8 adults and 5 children. We did have a little struggle with having enough hot water at times but in hindsight we probably should’ve waited until evening to do laundry or run the dishwasher. Seemed like one or the other was always going! The recommendation for an SUV is legit, the driveway is definitely steep (but definitely doable!) Communication was excellent. thanks for everything!

This house was perfect for our group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids). We had three families, so each family had their own full bathroom.
The house is big and spacious. There was plenty of room for 12 of us to enjoy and yet not so big where we couldn’t keep our eye on the kids.
The kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space, making it easy for several people to help with meals.
The view from pool is amazing and a great place to watch the sunset. The pool itself is nice, and has lights so we could enjoy at night. The deepside is about 5.5-6’, so a little deep for young kids.
A lot of reviews mention the steep driveway, and it’s true. It’s manageable though with the right vehicle. The garage/driveway will probably fit 4 cars.
Our whole group agreed that we’d definitely stay there again.

We had an AMAZING trip to Hawaii and a wonderful stay at Blue Hawaii!
Location: Ideal for the Kona area. It’s about 30min from the airport, less than 10min from Ali’i drive, 5min from Keauhou Shopping Center, and in a private community. The neighborhood was quiet, well kept and perfect for morning walks. My parents loved it!
House: Gorgeous - Stunning! When we arrived, it was clean with all the amenities stocked for our stay. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you need. Extremely helpful not needing to buy essential items. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of 10 people including 4 kids. Nice to have a full washer and dryer! Highlight of the house - the pool and amazing view! We watched the sunset as a family every day! Also a bonus was having all of the pool and beach toys too!
Communication: Awesome! It was easy and straightforward with emails and text messages. Appreciated having simplified check in and check out instructions. The guard shack at the entrance was great upon arrival and as we entered and exited.
The only thing to be mindful of - the drive way. It was communicated and transparent in all the reviews so we were well aware, but it was a bit tricky. We had two rental cars, a Ford Explorer and a Kia Van. The Explorer made it down without scrapping but had a hard time coming up the hill. The Van needed to be empty (including suitcases) with only the driver in order to make it over and could only park in the side driveway area.

We had the BEST stay at the "Blue Hawaii". My first Girls' Trip with family & friends. There were twelve of us and the house was big enough for all; plenty of room inside and outside to relax and converse. The beds were comfortable for sleep; home was clean inside and outdoors. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise every morning with a cup of coffee/ tea and chilling by our private pool with chilled wine during the evening sunsets - God's paradise indeed. 5 plus stars rating for sure. Thanks again for allowing me to celebrate 66 yrs of life in paradise with family & friends.

Beautiful property in an exclusive neighborhood. House was everything that was advertised. Kitchen was modern with most modern appliances. The house is designed to give all rooms privacy with separation from living area. View of the pool was stunning with sunsets dead center. Pool tiles around steps need to be re finished as some are rough on edges. Pool water was a little cool to some guests. Beach chairs and toys was appreciated . Everyone had a great time

This was just perfect for our extended family - grandparents, two couples and children 6,8,10. The place was spotless and beautiful! Perfect base for seeing all the amazing things the island has to offer and a great spot for downtime. The pool was lovely. Communication with managers was quick and informative. Definitely recommend the SUV for the driveway (and good for other mountain/park driving.)

Location was great. Driveway was steep but not as bad as some of the reviews. Sunsets were beautiful. Kids loved the pool. Hot water was at a premium, so get up first to shower 😎

Our family gathered together to celebrate my sisters 65th birthday. Our mother is from Oahu and so it made it special to celebrate it here in Kona Hawaii.
The house was perfect which added to our Kona experience . Every room was clean, comfortable, full of additives for every necessity and the infinity pool and immaculate views was to die for. The sunset was one of the best I have ever witnessed from a vacation home.
I would recommend this house to any family looking for the perfect vacation home.

Everything was wonderful. The house is well stocked with everything you could need. The driveway is no joke. We even scraped the bottom of the Suburban. Rent something high and be careful. It was a lovely view and a great location. The property management team is top notch.

We loved everything about this place…except the drive way but small price to pay for wonderful location. The pool was great with beautiful sunsets! Loved the outdoor table that could fit most of us, which we could have figured out the fan above it but didn’t distract from how amazing it was! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

The property was very nice and definitely had enough room for the amount of people that were staying with us. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend having someone stay on the pullout couch with the living room just because its not a seperate space so if you’re staying with a big group and everyone is getting up at separate times it makes it tough. The driveway is VERY steep, there was warning of that before checking in though.

The stay at the property was amazing experience. The view was great and the house looked bigger than the pictures. The vrbo staff and property managers were quick to respond if we needed anything.
Things that could of been better
- the pool is solar heated so it is not always warm
- we did not know that there was a switch in the garage that we needed to turn on to get warm water for showering so went couple days without warm water til we realized the issue and contacted the property manager and guided us to turn the switch in the boiler room
- the parking lot has a drop when entering and when leaving the premise it will scrape bottom of your suv or Sedan which is a known issue
- there was not enough toiletries ..so make sure you bring your own or buy it when you get there
- the doors did not lock in all bathrooms and bedroom doors so when you have a lot of people in the house it can be an inconvenience
- we did find two cockroaches in one of the bathrooms

My family of 11 ranging in age from 10 to 60+ stayed here recently, and it was wonderful! The house is gorgeous, and the view is spectacular, especially at sunset. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was a short 10 minute drive to Captain Cook, shops in Kona, numerous restaurants, and just 5 minutes to the grocery store. It was within 5 minutes to coffee farms, chocolate farms, beaches, and other activities that we did. There were plenty of towels for the pool and beach as well as toys and floats. Check in was keyless and a breeze. Management checked in a few times via text during our stay to make sure all was well. The only downsides were the driveway was tricky, and the hot water could sometimes run out during showers. SUV is a must and be comfortable driving a larger vehicle to maneuver the steep angled driveway. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the Big Island!

The location, view, home, and whole experience was perfect! The driveway is a little terrifying as others have said, especially when arriving at night, but the whole neighborhood is the same way, the view more than makes up for it. The house is immaculate, very clean, and we felt so at home. The only recommendation I would make to the management company is to have the dryer vent cleaned as it’s very loaded with lint, a bit of a fire hazard. The gift bag when we walked in was a very nice touch! Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

The was pool was very cold. We are from Alaska and it was darn cold for us. We did use the pool to cool off but did not spend a long time in it. We would recommend getting a little ice maker. The refrigerator does not supply very much ice . One other the thing, the burners on the stove need to be checked. It doesn’t burn correctly, smells and turns the bottom of the pots and pans BLACK.

This trip celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and wow, did we choose the perfect home! We watched the most gorgeous sunsets over the ocean right from our patio. The house is impeccably decorated and there is nothing left to chance. Fully stocked gourmet kitchen and an awesome outdoor grill. The beds were so comfortable! I suppose the best part was having lots of space to accommodate 6 people so we never felt crowded. In all of our travels, it was such a welcoming place to come home to. Security was extremely friendly and helpful. The location of this home was perfect - minutes from the shopping district and great restaurants. Our only negative was the driveway entrance. Management warned us several times that they suggest renting an SUV otherwise you may scrape bottom.Due to a huge influx of tourists there were no SUVs to be had. We had a Ford Fusion and my daughter had a Buck Enclave. We both scrapped bottom and by the looks of the abundance of marks we weren't alone. After that I had everyone exit the car at the top and I drove empty as far left as i could and didn't scrape most of the time, Upon checkout I took both of our heavy suitcases to the top and my wife climbed the steep driveway. After I arrived we loaded everything and headed for KOA. As you can see our stay was almost perfect except for the driveway. A small thing to fix would make your stay truely perfect !
