Excellent location with easy beach access. The kitchen was well stocked and had spices and condiments so we didn’t have to purchase extras. They had beach chairs and boogie boards and some other random beach/pool toys. One thing they don’t have is beach towels so make sure to bring your own.

Wonderful location on the property - right next to the pool and quick walk off your patio to the beach. Boogie boards, sand toys and chairs were great. We saw turtles right at the beach almost everyday. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo is perfectly situated near the pool and easy access to a beautiful and calm beach where turtles sleep every night. The place itself is well stocked with all the beach toys, boogie boards, floaties and snorkel gear you could need. We would definitely stay here again and really enjoyed our time! We did have some hiccups in our stay that overall weren’t the worst but did stand out as negatives for our trip. When we arrived, the internet service was down. We messaged the host and they were extremely fast to reply and communicated well. However it ultimately fell to myself to call, schedule and manage an appointment with their internet service provider to get a new modem since the existing one had been down for 3 days prior to our stay. Dealing with the company, having to stick around in the condo all morning the day of the appointment (they wouldn’t give me a call when on their way since my number wasn’t listed on the account even though I was the one who setup the appointment) was not what we wanted to have to do on our vacation. The only other thing was that the bathroom shower near the master bedroom wouldn’t drain well. When we brought this up we were instructed to pull up the drain and clean out whatever filter and gunk was in there. While this isn’t too hard to do it’s ultimately not something you want to do while on vacation - especially since it’s other people’s hair etc in there. Overall we would stay here again! It was perfect for our family of 4!

This unit is nicely furnished and had plenty of space for our family of 4. It was nice to have two beds in the second bedroom. The unit is near to the pool and walking path to the beach which was perfect for us. Even with a ground floor unit we still had amazing views. We enjoyed buying local fresh fish and cooking on the community grills by the pool that we cleaned daily and it excellent condition. Everything we needed was a short drive away. Really enjoyed this location and unit.

The property was exactly as described, had all items needed for a beach/poolside stay to include beach chairs, umbrella, towels, sand toys, cooler, etc. Location on the property was ideal for small kiddos access to the pool a few feet away, the beach not much further. Easy access to all things on the island heading any direction. Beach was calm for little ones, fun to see turtles sunning every morning. Kitchen well appointed, all amenities perfect for our stay. Beachfront condo steps away from turtles. This condo is completely renovated and very spacious and open. It’s located on the main floor, which makes easy access to the beach. You have beautiful views of the mountains and ocean from the lanai. This condo is situated in the perfect location within this condominium association. The owner was very helpful throughout our stay as we did not know where to go or local restaurants to dine at. We have already booked our next vacation this time we’re taking the kids! I highly highly recommend this beautiful renovated condo with everything you need for a family. They even had toys, chairs, boogie boards, and the kitchen was fully stocked. I would give this condo a five star rating over and over again.

This place was great - exactly as listed. I understand it's an upgraded/remodeled unit in a fairly dated building. The front beach is perfect for little kids. They were able to safely play and see tons of sea turtles. Would definitely stay there again. Especially appreciated the condiments/ spices in the kitchen and beach toys/chairs

Wow! What a wonderful condo rental! I'm so happy we chose this VRBO. It has everything we needed and more for an amazing Maui family vacation. The condo was exactly as advertised with a full kitchen and everything you might need. The snorkeling gear, sand toys, and all the TVs were a huge hit with the kids. We also enjoyed the pool, and the access to the beach. We got up early to see the sea turtles before they swam back out for the day. I saw 2 humpback whales playing around right from the beach as well. The shuffle board area was also great. We appreciated that the condo was stocked with things like shampoo, conditioner, a cooler, and beach towels.Parking was easy and all instructions were easy to follow. The view from our patio was amazing and we had easy access to everything. We loved it!

The location of the unit is prime. Close to everything you need and was awesome to be right at the pool and right on the beach. The grass area with the shuffleboard was perfect for our toddler to run around on. The complex is excellently maintained. The unit is right next to the pool which is very handy for lunches and going back to the room but was a little noisy for the baby when napping or going to bed since the pool doesn’t close until 8:30pm. Patrick and Jaime were quick to answer on any questions and concerns. Would definitely stay again.

Wow if you are going to Mauii this is where you need to stay. The 1st floor location was just amazing. I walked right out to the beach and pool, no need to lug everything up stairs. The Condo was furnished with EVERYTHING we needed, beach chairs, umbrella towels, shampoo and even some sunscreen. We Loved working with Patrick & Jamie they were available and very responsive!! The area that this VRBO is just beautiful. Centrally located to the Airport, Marina, Haelakala. We loved zipping around town looking for fun Coffee shops and the Luau at Andaz resort just up the street was the BEST EVER!!! If you are choosing a place to stay in Mauii look NO FURTHER!!! We can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed staying here. The condo was spacious and never felt crowded with 4 adults and a toddler. It was very clean and well supplied. The condo was great. Very well stock kitchen as well as extras like games, snorkel gear, beach chairs, etc. The heated pool is right out the back door. There is a great grilling area with picnic tables and steps that lead down to the beach area with great swimming area. The condo has a washer and dryer which makes it nice to keep your clothes and towels cleaned as you stay.

Jaime and Patrick were super responsive during and prior our trip, answering all our questions. The unit itself is absolutely beautiful, equipped with everything you might possibly need, it made our stay that much more relaxing and stress free. The pool was amazing at a great temperature at all hours of the day, also be sure to take advantage of the shuffle board outside! We used the grills by the pool, also nicely kept. The staff truly keep the grounds in pristine condition, much appreciated and didn’t go unnoticed. It was really nice to have the closest access to the pool and the outside ground area. Kihei is a great coastal town and readily close to everything you’d like: shops, beaches, restaurants, etc. will definitely come back if I find myself in Maui!

Our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) had a wonderful stay at this condo. The property was as described in the listing and photos. We had everything we needed to cook several meals a day in the condo as we have food allergies and the beds were very comfortable and the AC worked well when needed (mostly at night when we didn’t have the windows open). Definitely a place we would book again!

Great for family with kids. Patio leads right outside to grass area, pool, and access to beach. Many amenities from fully stocked kitchen, to pak n play for infant. Beach toys, chairs, snorkel and fins, umbrellas and more. Having a washer n dryer in the unit was extremely convenient.

We would stay here again - good location to jump off to all areas of Maui. Menehune Shores has a nice pool, and the beach access is great. We had our 9 month old with us, and the grassy area surrounding the condos was perfect for her. Nice hosts - very responsive.

The location of this unit is great for kids since it's right on the grass, literal steps from the pool, and beach access. The rock-wall protected beach is very calm but you can easily walk to beaches with bigger waves. We saw sea turtles every day.
We also found it very well located on the island, since it's a very short drive to Kihei restaurants and fairly central.
Unit is very clean, kitchen is well-stocked with appliances, pans, utensils, etc.

We just spent 5 nights in this fantastic condo and it was perfect for us. It’s spotlessly clean, so comfortable for sleeping and relaxing. Pool, lawn, bbqs, and beach are mere steps away! The condo is full of thoughtful extras like chairs and coolers to take with you, extra towels, and snorkel gear. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is great quality (no cheap flimsy knives!)
The location is convenient to everything on Maui. Parking was always available.
My family kept saying it was the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at.

Absolutely perfect for my husband and I and our two friends. Bed in master super comfortable. Right off beach! View is incredible and being ground floor was fantastic. Played shuffleboard and could walk right out to beach. The second bedroom is two twins to put together. If you’re traveling as couples there is not a set of king sheets for that room. That is the only recommendation would be for them to have a set of king sheets for that bed to make it an actual king.

The property is as lovely as the pictures, and the hosts were responsive to questions. The buildings location is excellent, particularly close to the ancient fishpond and beach. I would say there are both pros and cons to the suite being right next to the pool and the beach: easy access versus a bit of extra noise and traffic. Just a note: the pool and grounds are clean and lovely. However the pool was only heated for about half of our stay... ice cold the remainder. Not the hosts fault but if a warm pool is important for you, take this into consideration. We will definitely book again

Overall, we had a great stay here and we appreciated the updated unit. The condo is set up so there is privacy between the two bedrooms if couples are staying there together and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed (blender, rice cooker, coffee makers, pots, pans, plenty of glasses/plates/bowls, utensils, even kids dishes, etc.) aside from not having any dish towels. Having a washer and dryer in unit was very nice to have. The location, although right beside the lobby and entrance to the pool, was quiet enough and being on the ground floor you naturally deal with a bit more noise (groundskeeper work, people walking, etc), but being able to walk a short distance to the beach, shuffleboard, and pool was a plus. Free parking on site was always available even for bigger vehicles. We had a couple of small details that had to get ironed out with the host upon arrival, but they were done promptly. A few more details were missed by cleaning staff and that will be communicated to the host privately, so they can address those.
Bonus - the Indian restaurant in the complex is absolutely delicious!

Meneheune shores is a wonderful condo community. The location can’t be beat with easy beach access and close to many restaurants in Kihei. The condo presents as described. The ground level is great for kids. We had an issue with the a/c and the owner responded immediately and arranged for it to be repaired.
The only downside is the pool did not have heat for the first four or five days. The ocean was considerably warmer!! Heat returned to the pool for the last few days of our trip and made swimming in the pool tolerable. We have stayed at meneheune shores three times in the last 5 years… and 2 out of the three there have been issues with the pool heater broken/needing repair. If you are a pool only person be mentally prepared. We still love staying at meneheune shores and this was a nice condo.

The location and listing were both on spot. We arrived about 20 minutes before check in and the house hadn’t been cleaned. The responsiveness of the owner and island manager were very quick to get that taken care of. We were able to get in 1.5hrs later than the check in time. The beds had new sheets but no comforters for my kids beds so they used a blanket and towels for comforters. The owner did give me a small refund for the inconvenience. That was all a small set back from the week we spent there. The location and beach were very nice and the condo had everything we needed as far the kitchen goes. We would still go back and recommend the condo to our friends.

This ocean/beachfront condo is nothing but short of amazing! We chose Jaime + Patrick's condo for our trip because we thought it would be a perfect home away from home for my mom who has limited mobility, and it was! There was a little snafu with our booking, but Patrick was a gracious host and immediately contacted us to help iron out the details. The extra chairs, towels, beach toys, etc. were a blessing and so appreciate! One of the highlights of our trip was waking up every morning and going to see the sea turtles! We all loved our time on Maui and especially our VRBO. It was nice to be centrally located on the island. There were beach chairs, towels, noodles, umbrella and coolers available to use so there was no need to rent any of those items. The grounds were kept up nicely and grounds staff were very friendly. This condo was perfect. Recently updated, this condo has everything you need including a prime location in Kihei. It is closest to the heated pool. There is an ancient fishing pond directly in front of complex with sheltered swimming---great for children. Green turtles use this pond as a resting area. This March we saw more whale activity than in past years. You can easily watch the whales breeching from the lanai, pool or beach. Inside, the condo all is new. Maybe more hooks could be installed behind all doors along with an extra towel rack in each bathroom please. Also a small stick vacuum and more cleaning supplies would be a bonus. This was our first time staying in Kihei (we usually stay in West Maui). This condo has been beautifully updated and well stocked. New beach chairs, umbrella, snorkeling gear, towels. All a welcomed surprise! The kitchen was also ready to go with everything you need to cook, if you choose to do so. Overall this property met our needs for our trip. As mentioned in other reviews, the condo is in desperate need of a renovation. I feel like I doubted the overall cleanliness of the property because of the how dated many of the items are and water damage on baseboards . The sliding door is really hard to open and shut. It just looks really tired. With that being said - we had ample towels and bedding and beach gear. The location next to the pool and beach were exceptional. The grounds were very nice here and were always being kept up by facility staff. We loved the beach and the pool was exceptionally clean. I feel like this will be an amazing property if updated. Owner was very responsive to our needs and even offered a credit for the pool being closed a few days and offered a late check out . Thank you . We had a great vacation .

The property is on the ground floor and had a view of the ocean and it's right next to the pool. Walking out the sliding glass door, the pool is just a few steps away and the beach is a little bit further. There is a little section in the ocean that has a rock wall, which creates a nice safe swimming area. There are also turtles in part of that area that you can watch, especially during the early morning hours or in the evening. It is a very peaceful and relaxing condo in a great location and we would stay here again. Thank you, Jaime & Patrick.

This location could not have been better! We said multiple times that we chose the perfect spot! It’s a great central location for all the amazing activities. The views from this room are like none other I’ve seen! Sea turtles that came to shore every night were just a bonus! This is a great family friendly spot filled with activities. The owner has provided beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and coolers to take for picnics. The bedrooms are also nicely separated for multiple couples who are traveling together. If/when we make it back I would love nothing more than to stay in this room again!

Jaime’s place worked out well for our family. The location to the pool and shuffleboard courts was perfect, and it was so nice being on the ground floor! Unlike other reviewers, we did not find the unit to be noisy at all - our kids had no problem falling asleep after a long day on the beach or in the pool. We made most meals in the unit and found the kitchen to be fully equipped with everything we needed. Like others have stated, the unit is a bit dated but it sounds like a remodel is on the horizon. I was a bit surprised with the lack of general cleanliness of things - the upholstery of the couch, dining room chairs, and lanai chairs are all pretty stained. The unit could use a good deep clean. We also tried to use the pull-out couch as a sleeping option for my son, but the mattress was very thin for a pull-out and all the springs could be felt through. It’s probably not a viable sleeping option for an adult, so that’s something to be aware of. Overall, we had a good stay and this place got the job done.

The location and amenities can’t be beat. The condo needs reno and updating, but then of course it would cost twice as much to stay. It supplied everything we needed to have a great vacation. We enjoyed the proximity to the pool and beach. Bring ear plugs! Noise travels from the pool area and there’s always a leaf blower outside at 8am. The roof deck, grill areas, and turtles swimming in the pond are definitely the highlight of the stay. Very responsive host when a plumbing issue arose, was handled promptly

Great stay in Maui for the price! We were not in the condo much and explored most of the island. It was perfect to come home to in the evening. It was convenient to have a 1st floor condo that had everything we needed.

Condo was located near the pool and super close to the beach. Walk right out from the patio onto the grass and path to the beach. Condo was equipped with everything you need for the beach. Condo is a little noisy as you are located next to the pool and walkway to the restaurant. Lots of tiny ants throughout the condo but overall a great place to stay.

We loved staying in Kihei this year. The fish pond beach was amazing for our kids 3 & 5, we were also able to go on the other side of the breakwall for them to enjoy the waves. I found the owners to be very responsive as well and thought the condo was well stocked. Looking forward to returning

Great location in Kihei with easy access to beach that is great for children. Turtles sunning every day! First floor pros: quick access to pool and beach; walk out to grassy area for kids to play; convenient to parking. Cons: noise from guests coming and going to condos and restaurant; noise from parking lot; noise from pool gate banging; dirt being blown in. Unit in dire need of updating, both in furniture and decor. Some mold in bathrooms. Biggest downer was the amount of teeny ants in kitchen! This is obviously an ongoing problem, as ant traps were in many places on kitchen counters when we arrived. DO NOT leave any food on counter without it being in airtight containers. We had a few other issues when first arriving. Jaime was quick to respond. Local rep handled one or two, but others were “in the future.” We finally decided to just go with the flow and enjoy our time in Maui.

My family of three, including a 2.5 year old, had a very good, relaxing vacation at this property — our first renting by owner.
The location is easy to access from the airport and surrounding areas. Kehei also has plenty of restaurants and stores around to access for food and stocking the fridge. We made great use of the available outdoor grills, including a Wagyu steak and shrimp dinner, although there could have been more grilling tools and grill-capable pans. We were able to get by with the available tools though, and used recyclable foil pans for our sides and toppings (mushrooms, onions, green beans, etc.). I encourage visitors to use the grills, it's a great way to meet your neighbors and enjoy an outdoor dining experience right on the water. We camp a lot, and it was really great having these accessible as part of the property. All of the other appliances worked well and it was nice to have different coffee options (drip, Keurig), although I did have to run some cleaner and vinegar through the Keurig before using.
All of the furniture was very comfortable and well kept, with comfortable beds. One suggestion to replace would be the glass coffee table (while it looks great), it has deceiving angles and my wife and I kept railing our shins and knees into it when walking through that space. Otherwise the space was excellent, with the mirrors really opening the living space for a first floor unit. Everything is decorated and equipped very tastefully.
The beach was great, although a little rocky in the water. We only went to the beach outside of the sheltered fishpond, so we don't know if that has a more sandy bottom. The fishpond unfortunately has rather compacted and hard sand on the beach, along with being a rather narrow and busy space, so we found it was much more comfortable to pitch our camp on the beach just outside the property grounds. There is a good, easy walking path to this beach that can't be more than 50 yards long. Bring water shoes if you want to spend all day in the water playing around. It may have been more sandy further out (don't quote me on it), but I caught some nicks and cuts, including some open-ish wounds, earlier in our Hawaii adventures and didn't want to be wandering further than about shoulder height.
In total, we had a great time and will return to this property in the future. The unit, though clean, needs some refurbishment, which the owner has stated is coming later this year. Overall, a fantastic find.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - you couldn't ask to be in a better spot in Maui. The condo itself is on the older side and could use some updating in places (e.g., window and door locks, the 2nd bathroom) but it is well maintained and the location is ideal. We would re-book here in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Menehune Shores in unit 108. First of all, Jamie is an excellent host. We had a slight maintenance issue and it was dealt with immediately. As for the unit, it is well stocked with everything you need including beach chairs and coolers. It is decorated nicely. The location is very good. It is ground floor, right beside the pool. The outdoor furniture is very comfortable. I saw others mention that the AC fan blows on patio but that is easily fixed by turning off AC when out there. The AC was excellent to have at night. The location of the complex is excellent too. It is in North Kihei out of the busy area but close enough to all amenities. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

My family of 5 spent the last leg of our trip here. This unit faces the ocean and the views are spectacular. Being on the first floor we had exceptional access to the pool and the beach, right outside our lanai. The inside could use a little updating, but we were more than happy to trade the inside for the outside. It was a great stay and I want to thank the owners for the hospitality.

The property was just what was on VRBO. Right by the pool with a beautiful view of the ocean. BUT it hadn’t been cleaned.
There had been a mixup with the service that cleans it. She did get a hold of me and apologized for the mixup. On the 3rd day we were there they came in and cleaned. They did a great job but with Covid and everything it was a little disconcerting that we were there with no service.
