To start, the location of the house is perfect - low down in Fairways South with an amazing view out to the ocean. The house itself worked perfectly for our group of a family of four and a grandparent with two bedrooms in the main house and a separate bedroom in a connected wing. Also, the flexibility to add (or not) a 4th bedroom was great for us as we were unsure until the last minute if two more people were coming. The house is incredibly well stocked - every time I thought I had identified something I wanted that they didn't have I ended up finding it. The pool was amazing and we spent most nights enjoying apps and drinks on the lanai while the kids swam. Although I did not communicate much with Peter during most of our stay, when our plane was delayed by 10(!) hours going home he was incredibly communicative, helpful and flexible as we worked through those challenges. In short everything about this house was great and I would definitely stay again.

This home is a hidden gem located on the most beautiful beach on the Big Island! I have stayed at many beach properties across the US with my extended family over the years and this ranked #1 in everyone's opinion. Our family included three groups...2 grandparents, 4 parents and 4 grandchildren aged 10,11 13 and 14. The bedroom setup of the residence provided privacy for all. The house felt like a real family home from the minute we arrived, not like a bare minimum rental. The owner was the best, most helpful and quickest contact ever...thank you Peter! Our vacation was filled with so many amazing moments like snorkeling with the Manta Rays at night and by the Captain Cook monument during the day, observing the Volcanoes at the National Park , traveling around the island to see the amazingly different terrain on each side, the beach at Mauna Kea and delicious local restaurants. However, grilling on our patio on Fourth of July and watching the fireworks light up the sky over the Pacific was priceless. Mahalo for the memories made!

One of the best views you'll ever see. This home was perfect for our three generation family vacation. Everyone had a blast, but the kids most of all with the infinity pool. Peter was an exceptional host to work with and we look forward to returning next year. Having access to Mauna Kea was awesome. Highly recommend the tennis if you play.

Fabulous stay in this gracious and lovely home that easily accommodated 6 people, including allowing for work spaces. Peter was outstanding to work with, we want to return. The only difficulty we had was that it wasn't easy to decipher exactly how the room arrangement works from the website. Peter was very responsive and helpful in aiding us work through our misunderstanding.

Wonderful location, with access to the Mauna Kea for an extra charge. We could take a short walk through the golf course to get to the hotel, which has a stunning beach and wonderful gym. We enjoyed the sunset from the house every night with cocktails, as well as morning coffee out on the lanai.
A few minor hiccups with our stay. We had a hard time accessing the property because the battery to the main coded entry ran out. Additionally, the door to the pool toys was locked, and so we had trouble accessing those amenities. All this to say, Peter was very responsive when we had trouble. A few things that could be improved include more blankets and towels. We only managed to find a single blanket for the fold out couch where the kids slept, which was located in a room that was abnormally cold relative to the rest of the house. Additionally, towels were scant.
Overall great stay but could have been 5 stars whith more overhauls.

From start to finish, this vacation was perfect. The owner was very helpful throughout the process and very responsive to all my questions. The home is lovely and has great spaces for gathering the whole group. The beach at the Mauna Kea is gorgeous and the swimming is perfect for children and adults. We had a great time!

We stayed at this home while visiting Hawaii for spring break with our family and another family, each with 2 elementary age kids. This home comfortably slept all 8 of us. The layout was spacious, the pool was a relaxing oasis, and the view was beautiful, especially at sunset. We spent most of our days at the Mauna Kea beach or the Westin Hapuna pool and beach, and finished our afternoons relaxing at the pool back at the house. We had a small issue with the air conditioning at the beginning of the trip, and the owner was very responsive via phone call and text, and maintenance people took care of the issue within a reasonable time. Overall the house and setting were amazing. We hope to visit again in the future!

The property overall went beyond our expectations. With the pandemic still raging, it was so delightful to reconnect with friends, swim, cook, and dine in the beautiful indoor/outdoor space. The kitchen was well appointed with gadgets and a delight to cook in. Each couple having our own space and private bathroom was ideal, as was the private pool. I took 1 star off, since the place was oddly short on bath/hand towels (plenty of beach towels though!) and we had some confusion regarding the Mauna Kea Beach Club. Their rules have changed during the pandemic, and the property description and written homeowner docs didn't match what the Club told us. Nonetheless, we had a perfect day at Hapuna Beach. We'd definitely recommend this property to friends and would return. Thank you, Peter!!

Great house! Ideal indoor-outdoor set up, with lots of living space. The views of the ocean, including the sunsets, are amazing. We couldn’t have imagined a better vacation rental experience. The house is super comfortable and leaves everyone both the ability to hang together and have quiet time away. And the lanai…the infinity pool…the view of the ocean. Just awesome and peaceful. And Peter and Dale were super helpful, responsive hosts. My favorite vacation rental experience by far!

Peter’s house and location in the hills above Mauna Kea beach are breathtaking. Pictures don’t do it justice. The house was perfect for the eight of us. The separate master and Ohana suite are brilliant.
The house is fully stocked with everything you need. There is much to do on the Big Island but we also felt content to hang by the beautiful infinity pool and just enjoy the views.
This is a sophisticated, yet comfortable home - and the information Peter shares prior to arrival make it easy to manage and enjoy.
Highly recommend participating in the Residential guest program where we had use of all facilities at the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna properties.
A lucky bonus for us was the fireworks show for the 4th. We were able to see everything from the lanai. Incredible.

Outstanding home, what an experience! The resort pass opportunity is really the best part of the deal! Being able to hit the resort beaches, parking then becomes easy and getting to return to this incredible home to float poolside and enjoy the sunset each evening is epic! We will be back! The house has ALL you will need and Peter is easy to communicate with and responsive. We’re in the hospitality business and know it cannot be easy to please everyone so that said, you won’t go wrong here!
