The view of the ocean from the condominium was spectacular! We loved the trade winds but they were very strong for most of our stay. There’s a lot of red dirt in the area and we quickly realized it gets into the house when the louvre windows are open. The condo itself had everything we needed. It’s well stocked with plenty of dishes, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc.. The initial selling point for us was the ability to rent the car, as I’ve heard sometimes the island doesn’t have any available. We especially enjoyed the location with a swimmable beach on the property. We had it all to ourselves. We also enjoyed the wildlife— we witnessed 3 monk seals beach themselves for a nap, heard and saw axsis deer in the middle of the night— grazing on the grass right in front of our door, lots of turkeys, too. If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is the place to stay!

We were on a wonderful but busy Hawaiian cruise for 7 days then we flew to Molokai to stay here for solitude. It is a perfect spot. No frills and nothing fancy but everything you need. Watching the surf and sunsets was all we needed. Very nice pool and the little store was perfect for Xmas Eve ice cream. Vickie was excellent to work with. 5 stars and we will be back. Loved it. The island is quiet and lots of red dirt so be prepared to get a little dirty if you explore even on paved roads.

My granddaughter and I were very at home, in the condo. We shared the comfortable bed, prepared wonderful smoothies and easy meals in the kitchen, bathroom/shower worked fine, and the sunsets from the covered patio were stunning! The vehicle was the perfect size, especially for the East end road! We loved coming home to the condo after exploring. We are Alaskans and greatly appreciated the almost constant breeze (Trade Winds) coming through the screen door facing East and traveling through the screen doors facing West. We kept the ceiling fan on and used a small, circular fan at night. We wanted to hear the surf and that is why we used the small fan. We slept well. The wildlife on the property is AMAZING! Bird sound of all kinds, monk seals on the beach, and turkeys, egrets and peacocks strutting around during the day! At night the toads appear, deer traverse the property, and my granddaughter thinks she may have heard an owl. And who doesn't love geckos?!
The property is just plain fun, beautiful, and welcoming.
We appreciated all of Vickie's information and communication. I don't doubt that I will return to Molokai, and I don't doubt I will stay again at this peaceful, corner condo. Actually, I believe I'm still there.

This spot reminds me of a place at the end of road at the end of the world. Definitely off the beaten track and so peaceful.
The condo is simple, easy to access, has nearly everything you need to make your own meals with very friendly neighbors.

This was a return trip to Molokai after 5 yrs and once again it didn’t disappoint. Vickie and Phil’s condo has everything you need. Well equipped. Vickie was very quick to get back to us if we had any questions, even with the 6 hr time difference. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to we return.

Perfect location to enjoy the beaches and sunsets. Explore the beaches and watch the surfers ride the waves. See the monks seals resting during the day and watch them leave in the evening to goeat.
The condo is everything as advertised and more. Everything you need for a beach getaway. We picked up fruits and veggies from a local farm and the farmers market. Pick up deer from the coop and fresh fish from a fisherman. Cooked in the condo and ate in our lanai.
We definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay was amazing, very peaceful and quiet. As others have said, half the complex is boarded up and half is being used which suited us well as this meant we had the beach to ourselves for multiple days.
Recomend just making your meals in the condo, there is everything you need including sauces and oils (kine leftovers from other guests so obviously changing).
Car is definitely an island car but can't beat the price! We had a few issues but Vickie was very quick to respond and help out.
This is not the place for you if you need to be waited on constantly (maybe try Oahu not Molokai) but if you like peace, exploring off the beaten path and empty beaches, this is it!

Vicki’s studio condo was perfect. We spent two weeks there and loved it. Molokai is very different than Oahu or Maui. This is old Hawaii. No need for air conditioning. Let the warm trade winds kiss your skin by day and sing you to sleep at night. Wake up with greetings from the doves and mynas. Grill your dinner while meeting your neighbors. We will miss the beautiful view from the lanai. Vicki is a super owner, very easy to stay in touch and very helpful. This is the perfect place to get away and relax. Highly recommend!

This is a great place for couples. It has great views and everything you need to make your meals. The bed was very comfortable. Some of the best sleep ever. It is a nice and clean place. Vickie responded quickly to all our questions. Vickie sends you lots of helpful information. I would recommend if you are going to Molokai, check this place out first...you won't be disappointed. I would also recommend go sightseeing during the day and hit the beach right out your back door and a short walking in the evening and watch the beautiful sunsets, as places close around 5 or 6 pm each night. Everything is easy to get to. Definitely 5 stars from us. Will be staying here again when we come back. Thanks for making our vacation awesome Vickie.

The immaculate unit with well appointed kitchen and amazing ocean views was exactly as described. The WiFi works well. I was able to take zoom meetings on the lanai. The grounds are large and I spent hours exploring the beaches. The magic sands beach was in winter format, but there was plenty of sand to dip my toes into. The area is quiet and a great place to rest. I slept most of the first two days, it’s definitely a great place to take a break from the city life. I will definitely be back!

For the price, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. Stunning, empty beaches within a minute's walk and with incredible sunsets AND shelter from the shade and safe for swimming. The condo itself was fine for the two of us, but it would be cramped for more than two. Being able to rent Vickie and Phil's car was an added bonus. Highly recommended, definitely book here if it's available!

This is the 3rd condo in the Kepuhi Beach Resort that I've stayed in. While it is small, and you know that when you book, I would definitely rent this condo again. The condo is equipped with many extras such as light weight beach chairs and soft coolers.
We especially liked that it is an end, ground floor unit! Good view, easy access grills and pool. This is a great place to stay, especially if you like walking.

The owners responded in a timely manner to questions we had. That is appreciated. The unit is well equipped but would rate its condition as fair to poor in some areas. There is no air conditioning and in reviewing all information that was provided to us, I did not see any disclosures of this. It was very hot and humid and 4 of the 5 windows that would provide a good cross ventilation were closed with signs stating “do no open”. There is 1 ceiling fan and a small oscillating fan. The pool was closed and we were told it had been closed since COVID started more than 1year ago. This was not disclosed. The pool at the next door facility was open but we did not have access to it. The ocean waves were more aggressive than I felt comfortable swimming in. The unit is described as 1bedroom, it is a studio and should be described as such. The resort in which this unit is located has partially independently owned units but there are multiple units/buildings in horrible decaying condition. While I understand this is not under the owners control, it is a deterrent to travelers and most likely why it is not addressed. Quiet time is listed as 10 pm to 8 am, the grounds crew is mowing, weed whacking or using a blower starting at 7 am. Poor privacy on the lower unit due to having to keep the lanai door open with just the screen in order to get any air flow with the heat.
Be aware that many businesses were no longer open, the cost of groceries is outrageous ($10/dozen eggs) and grocery stores have very limited supplies and choices that we are accustomed to on mainland US.
While the unit has some updated bathroom vanity the shower is a corner shower which is cramped. The windows and lanai doors are old wooden and decaying with primitive locks and the screen door cannot be secured. It does have beautiful sunsets but the downside is that it is blinding and additionally adds to the heat in the unit which doesn’t have any air circulation to begin with. Other units in the same building offered updated doors and a pull down shade for a break from the direct sun.
The owners did provide a listing of businesses and suggestions of activities but should be updated to current status of the island.
Disheartening to see area residents post signs that state “Visit, spend, go home”!
I would not return to this location and will not use VRBO again. Who can trust or believe what is written?! We were booked for 2 weeks and left after 1 week forfeiting a week of rent.

Perfect spot for our first trip to Hawaii! Molokai is a very friendly place. 10 days is almost enough, to clear your mind and body. The condo is wonderful, comfortable bed, fully equipped, just add you! The car is a total blessing, made it all easy. We Barbequed Ahi, while watching / listening to the surf. the pics are very real, it is an amazing place!! This a very well kept secret! don't tell anyone!! Would go again in a heartbeat!!

From the sweet-singing birds waking us up, to the romantic sunset...we had a fabulous time. Unfortunately, it was too short. I did surprise my wife of 46 years, telling her to pack for a 3 day trip, casual wear only, and she didn't find out where we were going until our tickets were taken, and she looked up and saw "Molokai". Very friendly locals; superb weather, even though it rained a bit (the locals don't call it rain...they call it a blessing!). We want to go back again and again. We're still smiling. :-)

Very warm friendly people encountered at every location whether intended or not. Excellent location for two people who really care about each other. The down time spent at the airport trying to make reasonable connections with the smaller commuter airlines was not pleasant ( 6 hours coming and going) . We did not expect to see all of the turkeys at the condo. It was quite a surprise.

This condo and car combo rental is an absolutely perfect set-up for making your stay on Molokai as easy as can be.
The charming condo was roomier than we expected (judging from the photos) and the murphy-bed is very comfortable. The ground-level lanai has a nice view for meals outside and also lets you walk straight across the lawn and down to the beach or pool.
The fact that the hotel/resort is no longer in operation might be disconcerting to some but we loved the peace and quiet that this provided us. We cooked fresh fish on the gas grills just off the lanai, walked along empty beaches and enjoyed moonlit nights with just the sound of the breeze in the palms. It was lovely having this place almost all to ourselves.
The use of the delightful little Hyundai was a huge plus considering that it's a bit more difficult to arrange things like transportation on Molokai. None of the island's other sights are really that far away with easy access to this great economical car.
Vickie is very helpful and provides many valuable tips on local shopping, dining, activities, etc.
We will definitely be contacting her again to book this combo on our next trip to Molokai.

This condo plus its little car are a real treasure. The owner's detailed instructions plus helpful hints about getting groceries, on restaurants, and about getting around were very valuable. You cannot miss if you follow these easy to read guidelines. This condo on the west end of Molokai is remote and this resort was hard hit by the economic downturn in Hawaii. But this makes for a very peaceful vacation destination -- after a week in Kihei on Maui this place was perfect. Early morning walks allowed us to see Axis deer and gave us a beach with few footprints. Nearby 3-Mile beach was equally peaceful even on a July 4th holiday. From someone who grew up in the Territory of Hawaii Molokai brouhgt back a lot a good memories. While we did the hike to Kalaupapa, I won't recommend unless you are strong hiker - climbing over the steps (up and down) is tough. Thank goodness for Dave's ice cream shop in town -- great post hike destination or good place to stop anytime. Don't miss the Cookhouse (follow Vicki's directions) for plate lunch dinners. WIFi at office was great because cell phone coverage was iffy. Enjoy!

We could not have asked for a better experience than what we had with our Molokai vacation. Everything about the details and logistics was taken care of by Vickie in advance so we had plenty of time to plan and prepare, and her thorough preparations make arriving and getting to the car, town and condo a breeze. They were so kind and quick to meet our needs. The rental car was new, in excellent condition, and absolutely perfect for getting around the island. The condo itself was very clean, fully stocked with kitchen supplies and some food, and was the perfect size for my husband and I. We saved money by using the kitchen to cook daily. There is also a really nice gas grill right outside the condo, so we were able to grill brauts and steaks. The view from the porch was stunning, and we had dinner on the patio to watch the sunset every evening. When the sun went down, we went onto the lawn, which offered a perfect spot for the best stargazing of my life... the condo is also a SHORT walk to countless lovely beaches to explore and a gorgeous ocean-side pool. Absolutely picturesque. Because the island is so untouched, we also so abundant wildlife- including a Hawaiian monk seal, wild turkeys, deer, crabs, fish, and sea turtles. The island itself was so laid back and slow paced, which made it perfect for an escape from the world. We relaxed by the beach and pool, explored hidden beaches and coves, took a drive through the rainforest to hike/swim in the waterfalls, discovered a fantastic farmer's market, met some truly wonderful local people, went snorkeling with countless sea turtles, looked over the tallest sea cliffs in the world, and the much more.... the best part was that the island was so small that you could get to everything easily and there was absolutely no hassle with traffic or lines.... It's a picturesque place with a unique solitude and beauty that is unmatched. The grounds of the condo are kept up nicely- grass always mowed and flowers/trees were always taken care of. My husband and I also enjoyed opening the French doors in the condo and leaving the screen closed when we slept so we could feel the island breeze when we slept and listen to the rustle of the palm trees. I have seen many places, but none like Molokai. My husband and I would go back in a heartbeat. After spending two days in Oahu, Molokai was SO refreshing- no hustle and bustle... just relaxation and beauty alongside my best friend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Right up front the owners of this condo took care of everything with thoughtful precision. Our arrival went off without a hitch. Our excellent little rental car was waiting at the airport. We found our room without any problems and all was pretty smooth sailing. We do not consider ourselves tourists. We are travelers and intrepid ones at that...but if you are not this place would have been a complete heartbreak. We were shocked to find a derelict resort that locals say they won't come to because it is haunted. It is haunted be socio-economic tragedy. We prowled the grounds to find buildings boarded up, empty rooms with desiccated cane toads entombed within, and the place where old golf carts go to die. The 18 hole golf course has been reclaimed by the earth. It was a surreal landscape of abandoned America. Things could easily be far different if we did not have condo owners with a high moral fiber and strong ethics. Here is what I mean. This resort is remote with poor lighting. There is nowhere to acquire provisions if one does not know to go to town (in the opposite direction) before the stores close. Molokai is not just remote it is dying. If a couple went there for their honeymoon (which we did) not being aware of what they are getting into it could spell sad times as this island is not for the average person. Everything we saw online showed thriving towns with open businesses, but that is downright wrong, deeply misleading information. My husband and I spent 2 of the happiest weeks of our 20 year marriage, but we are those kind of people. We had discussions about how terrible it could be for others when met with the harsh reality of the destination. Our condo was dated and basic, but clean and well maintained. The view from the lanai was postcard beautiful. Oh, and the mosquitoes were ravenous! Do your research before going. When you get off the plane go straight to Kaunakakai for groceries then go find your room before dark. It is good idea to have a flashlight in case you don't make it. Oh, and be open-minded because the place is a post apocalyptic landscape. We loved it!

We have been coming to Molokai for several years and this is one of the best condos we've rented. The price for car and condo make it a great deal. The place is clean and the kitchen well stocked. The view from the lanai is beautiful. It looks out onto the landscaped grounds, palm trees, and ocean beyond. We especially loved its corner location because of the open space on one side. The Murphy bed was comfortable and it was great to be able to fold it up, leaving more space during the day. Vickie was easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Well equipped condo in a quiet part of Molokai. Lovely grounds and pool area overlooking ocean. Car came in handy as Kepuhi Beach is 20 miles from largest town on Molokai. Unit is clean and well maintained. Owners were very hospitable and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. If you are looking for a quiet stay in old Hawaii, this is the place.
