Nice condo, quiet complex, a lot of kitchen supplies, keurig coffee machine, clean, spacious, cosy, good working airco to keep it fresh, nice terras, bedroom can be separated from living room. Easy parking, easy laundry & drying (pay via app), small but cosy pool, ocean breeze while suntanning. No curtains/blinds to keep out the sun, but nothing a sleeping mask cant solve.

This condo is a very clean and comfortable place for a couple to stay! It is a convenient location to explore town or as a base to explore the wider island. Sitting by the pool, looking out over the ocean, and listening to the waves breaking on the shore is a must! The lanai is a great place to drink coffee before starting your day! The host is thoughtful and very communicative. We had no trouble prior to or during our stay.

A great location off Ali’i with a view of the ocean from the lanai that was perfect for breakfast and coffee. The kitchen has what you need with space to make meals. The beach chairs and umbrellas are handy and fit into a car trunk for easy transport to nearby beaches. Overall, an excellent spot for a couple of people. Judy is extremely responsive to inquiries and works to make the stay easier and more enjoyable.

Renters BEWARE- READ FIRST1. Upon leaving the unit I video taped how I left the condo. The owner has since charged me for "sopping wet clothing on floor, left very untidy". I sent the owner a screenshot and a video of the bathroom tile floor (where Judy claims we left the clothes) - there are only towels on the floor. All of our clothes are accounted for. See attached photo - there are no clothes. Judy refuses to drop the additional fee. 2. Judy claims we left the condo "untidy". I have sent her a video of how we left the kitchen. Of course, I left the kitchen clean and tidy - Judy did not acknowledge her "untidy" status of the clean kitchen. See attached images3. I have tried to work with Judy over this additional fee, especially since I video recorded our departure, which is date and time stamped, but she refuses. Therefore, others should know what/who they are renting from. See attached image where Judy writes to me and accuses "ghosts" of these crimes. 4. This is NOT a one bedroom unit. This is a studio with a frosted plastic divider screen that can be pulled out. A one bedroom denotes a forth bedroom wall and a door, not a plastic divider. (see attached image) 5. The sunset view from the Lanai is misleading. The view from the Lanai in reality is of a big hedge, a parking lot, two other condo buildings and then a sliver between the condos of the ocean. (see attached image)6. Renters - Know what you are getting into before booking.

Great studio-style apartment for my husband and I. Well stocked kitchen for cooking meals, clean accommodations, located about a mile from the popular (touristy) restaurants/area. Well stocked for beach excursions with chairs, cooler, umbrella, beach towels, boogie board. The pool area has a great view of the ocean to watch sunsets from. Would stay here again!

Very cozy clean studio w comfortable king bed and ocean view for 6 night stay, short drive to Kona town, building pool is beautiful overlooking ocean, coffee shop next door, laundry room very convenient, ceiling fans help w heat, overall safe and cozy complex. Beach chairs & umbrella were provided, very kind. Unit could benefit from having a dehumidifier, meat thermometer, steak knives, tea kettle-a/c window unit is a little loud to sleep with & needs a cleaning-cars park on both sides of unit so anticipate some activity from headlights & noise plus busy walkway out front due to laundry room.

We came to Hawaii for our anniversary and had a great time. We loved the pool swim each morning and then off to a beach of our choice. We came back around dusk each night and cooked our dinner. It was quiet and relaxing.

My son and I stayed in this property to celebrate his graduation from college.
It was everything we expected and more. Communication with Judy was excellent. It was nice to have our own parking space. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the pressure was good.
Full kitchen with all the utensils, gas stove, coffee makers etc.
We had an ocean view off the lanai. There is an AC unit that we used briefly the first day when we forgot to close the blinds.

Spent a week on the Big Island - diving golfing and sightseeing. Condo was clean airy light - perfect for 2 people - using pullout couch to sleep 4 would have been cramped (unless kids). Fully equipped kitchen made cooking in a breeze, Condo is in back of complex off street so very quiet - pool/patio with grill to BBQ was wonderful. Owner in touch via cell regularly so no issues with communication- location close to everything on west side with east drives to tourist spots. Would definitely stay again!

Easy check in and nice to have keyless entry. Well appointed all around in kitchen, bathroom, etc. Excellent location, 1 mile from bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Head south for miles of a designated running/walking lane immediately out of the property. Nice pool by the ocean. Air conditioning worked well. Bed was firm & parking spot was a little tight at times depending on the other cars in the lot. Overall really enjoyed the stay.

We stayed nine nights in this Kona Shores studio condo. It was easy to find, close to town, and convenient for all our activities. Overall we found the unit well stocked in the kitchen with sharp knives, a really nice pan set, and a gas stove. Space is limited, particularly on the counter, but, we managed to cook most meals there and the spouse never complained about having to wash the dishes without a dishwasher! The frig is HUGE and will hold all your cold items easily. It is very nice to eat your meals on the lanai and the roll down shade helps with the afternoon heat. We really enjoyed the use of the two beach chairs over our stay but, wished we had found the umbrella on the lanai sooner. Communication with Judy was terrific and very responsive. I had no problem setting up the laundry app for self-service laundry and wash/dry is only $1.50 each. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we visited Kona!

We had a wonderful time here! The property was just as described and even better in person. It was perfect for 2 people, my spouse and I. It was close to everything we wanted to do! The furthest we traveled was about an hour up north from the condo to visit Hapuna Beach and Beach 69. We didn't go south too often, but did make a one day adventure to Volcanoes NP about 2 hours one way. There are so many wonderful things to do in this area. The condo is decorated so fun, it is very clean and well kept. The pool is awesome and the walk out to the rocks is really great too. Judy the owner was awesome, very friendly and easy to reach if needed.

Judy's home-away-from-home was perfect for our Kona visit. The condo was easy to find and well-situated in town. The space was clean and charming and had everything we needed; I loved the hand-painted cupboards and beachy touches. We enjoyed coffee on the lanai and the fans kept us cool. We watched the sunset every night from the beach.
I especially appreciated Judy's good communication and flexibility when our plans changed. We hope to return to Kona and stay again soon at Judy's place.

We had an amazing stay! The condo was clean, spacious, with a fully stocked kitchen! There was a parking space reserved for you right there where you could keep an eye on it; however, this was a very quiet condo which we felt very safe at. It was in a great location and so close to the main shopping area as well as restaurants and the magic sands beach which had a great sunset! The pool area and views of the sunset from the lava rock area outside of the pool over looking the ocean was pretty amazing if you happen to be at the condo around sunset.

We arrived in the condo in the evening with the rain pouring down. We found that the previous people had left a few cans of soda - fantastic that this is possible! that saved our lifes ;)
The condo was just perfect for us as a couple to use it as a base for big-island exploring. The area is clean and quiet. The pool is a little walk away but have an amazing view of the sunset. Also the city of Kona is within walkable distance (for newlyweds that like to walk hand in hand that is)
All in all a perfect homely spot on the other side of the globe - Communication with the owner was quick and pleasant. As long-distance travelers the WiFi access was a must - stable and fast connection. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a place to stay in Kailua-Kona.

My husband and I stayed at the condo in Kona Shores for 4 nights in April 2016. We enjoyed using the resort amenities (pool, grill) and the condo had a great bed. The partial view of the ocean from the lanai was enough to make us feel like we were really on vacation. The community is a bit farther from town than we expected, so we used taxis more than we walked. Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill is very close and worth a visit for dinner!

Great little spot. We had our morning coffee everyday either on the lanai or down by the pool. We never had any issues with the condo, it was well equipped with everything we needed for our 2 week stay in Kona. We will most definately stay here the next time we come back to Kona.

We used this as base for our sightseeing trip of the Kona side of the big island. Great to east breakfast on the back patio in the morning. Amici Ristorante Italiano Kona is very good, if you can find it. Its a little hard to find.
Look for it before sundown. Not very good lit signage. But very good food.

Great location, excellent facilities and a very well-equipped condo.
This was perfect for our 10 day stay for Ironman. The combination of indoors and lanai was great - we ate outside almost all the time. The pool and surrounding area were awesome, and what a fantastic place to watch the sun set! The condo was superbly appointed, with everything we expected plus way more.
The owner made the entire experience, from the first enquiry to security deposit refund, effortless and totally trouble-free. She couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
The resident caretaker/manager was also particularly helpful, going out of his way to help us.
We will definitely stay again if we get the opportunity to visit Kona, and will recommend the condo to anyone we know who is visiting.
This accommodation represents excellent value for money.
