This one bedroom condo is in an excellent location - close enough to walk to the Shops at Wailea, a coffee shop and the AC Marriott. It over looks the golf course and you can see the sunset from the balcony. It is fairly spacious and well equipped. The only small complaint I might have is that the carpet is a bit tired. I was driving a large SUV, the parking is tight for a big vehicle. Consider renting a smaller car or SUV.

Great property, two swimming pools, beautiful grounds. The only problem during our stay was one pool was closed for a time, and there were over 40 people at the other pool, making it impossible to bbq and eat at the pool.

The headline says upgraded. I couldn’t find anything that was upgraded. But clean and roomy. Nice view.
Slat doors and windows, I.e. sound and light goes through the door. Responsive host.
The stove is very basic with no indication of hot or cold for the burners. Would have appreciated more mugs.
We stayed in another condo the days before this one which had some spices, cooking oil and tea. But this condo only had salt. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs and I sure appreciate the condos that have a few items in the kitchen. That’s always a big plus.
Overall it was a good stay.

VRBO :Maui, a easy find . For some reason confirming the renters a bit of a grind .Also the exact address & unit and maybe a simple map could be useful! Once there it was Super Duper .

We enjoyed our stay in unit 168- very peaceful and quiet unit. Watching the golfers each morning while sipping coffee was a joy. Beautiful views all around. Bed was comfy and kitchen was stocked enough to make a couple of meals.

Overall, a good value. The unit was clean and the owners were easy to work with. I've stayed in several units here before, and all of those have been updated. This one has not. It's a bit dated, and didn't have as many amenities as the other units I've stayed in, but it was a good deal for the area. After all, you don't go to Wailea to stay inside!!
The Grand Champions complex is a great alternative to the ridiculously priced hotels in Wailea. It's literally 5 walking minutes to the Shops in Wailea, and maybe 8 walking minutes to the beach.

We come to Wailea a lot, and usually stay at the Grand Champions, so we're pretty familiar with the kind of week we're going to have. In general, this condo is pretty good - above average for the price. The decor is a bit dated, and the unit could use a little TLC (a few burnt-out light bulbs here and there), but overall it's a nice unit with lots of light, a great view, and plenty of room. The one negative thing about the condo in general is there are louvered doors everywhere. Louvered doors do nothing for sound, very little for light, and offer not much, um, bathroom privacy.
The bed is super comfortable, and the bedroom was plenty large enough to put an air mattress in the corner for our 4-year-old. There is lots of drawer space, and a small closet in the bedroom with a much larger closet in the bathroom.
There are two full bathrooms, which is great! Families with kids should be aware, though - there is no tub. Both baths have showers. The water gets hot fast and the pressure is great. (The toilet flush lever in the second bathroom is a little janky, but it works once you get the hang of it)
The kitchen is well-equipped and the appliances are all in great condition (except the ice maker, which seems to not even be hooked up). The counters are updated and there is plenty of space to work and store things. The breakfast-bar area is very convenient, and it's open to the main living area.
The living area is comfy and large- with a sofa, a couple chairs, and a dining table all in the same area. It's great for us to spread out a bit and still be in the same room. The electronics are a tad old (the stereo has a 30-pin iPod dock!), but they work fine. The A/C in this area is woefully underpowered. It has to basically run 24/7 to keep the room comfortable in 90º heat.
We did have a bit of a disappointment when a truck hit a utility box and knocked out the internet to the area. The outage bricked the modem (after I rebooted it at Spectrum's instruction) , and we were without internet for most of the stay. I don't fault the owner for the outage at all, but they could have been a little more proactive in getting it fixed for us.
Overall, nice place to stay in a great location.

Seamless checkin. Plenty of starter packs (dishwashing soap, shampooo, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc). There was a water break in the complex that affected us. But they fixed it within the day and the owner kept us informed all along the way. Also a great view from the balcony

We stayed at this beautiful condo after our wedding in Maui. It was everything we could have hoped for. A tranquil spot with a gorgeous view of the sunset every evening, just a stone’s throw from an array of great restaurants, shops and of course, the golden beaches of Wailea. The condo itself was spotless, perfectly air conditioned and wonderfully decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and the surrounding area was quiet at night. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future!

2nd time in the Grand Champions Complex, 1st time in this unit. View / Porch was really wonderful and as described. 2nd Floor provided views of Golf Course and ocean in the distance. Owners where Very responsive and accommodating of request at Checkin, it was Very much appreciated. Flow of unit is great with 2 full size bathrooms, and 2 TV's. Kitchen is well stocked, other than a miss on no grilling items other than hotdog tongs :( (missing Metal grill flippers, etc.), and a Big part of the attraction of Grand Champions is ability to use complex multiple grills and grill cook outs. As others noted in reviews, the carpet in entry LR needs 'sprucing-up' or replacement for a high end unit / price point. Internet is slow, (pics, Video calls / media uploads) but that could be a function of Condo units ? Overall a great unit and experience.

The unit was very cozy and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and we especially loved the balcony area. It was so convenient that there was a washer/dryer there too, so we could do our laundry since we were in Hawaii for about 2 weeks. The host, Brian, was great! So easy to get a hold of whenever we needed. Quick to respond and very kind. He sent us a welcome text, plus we arrived late to the unit, but he was nice enough to stay awake until he confirmed we arrived in case we had any issues finding the key or entering the unit. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The villa was perfect for a couple, and the extra bathroom was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the patio every morning. The view is beautiful. The villa also had Tommy Bahama chairs, a cooler, and a beach blanket that came in extremely handy for our daily beach trips. The hosts were responsive, helpful, and pleasant. We would stay here again. Mahalo!

This was a great unit for my family (myself, husband and two daughters aged 8 & 11). The kitchen was great and had everything we needed and the two full bathrooms were great. Loved the washer and dryer and the view was peaceful and fun - we loved watching the golfers everyday and critiquing their swings. :)
Great complex and the pool was fun for the kids. We would stay there again and the hosts were extremely accommodating and available if you needed them.

This condo is very well equipped for easy vacationing. As new-ish golfers we really enjoyed the perfect view of the fairway from the lanai, and marveling/commiserating at the people playing past us. Shopping and golf close by.
My only reservation is the carpet could stand a shampoo/cleaning.

This condominium sits on a lush green golf course close to Wailea beach in Maui. Having a drink on the balcony includes amazing views of the green golf course, the Pacific ocean, beautiful sunsets. Parking is right in front of property. The condo is clean and well kept. Location is very safe and one of the best in Maui.
Short walk to beaches, shopping and restaurants. The host is very easy to reach and communicates well. Would definitely recommend.

This place was super clean, Ice cold AC, very fast response to messages if you had questions, I wish i could of stayed here my whole 12 days in maui! It was a beautiful view, alot of space and just a amazing spot, Brian ROCKS!
