We just returned home after staying here to celebrate our 55th anniversary with family! The property was perfect! We all loved the fabulous view and watching the turtles splashing around right in front of us!
The condo was very well equipped - we especially liked having all the beach items there to use!
And the Starbucks coffee pods were such a nice touch

You can walk over to the resort for cocktails and food. Poipu beach was a very easy walk and the beach was incredible. We had famous Puka Dogs, Hawaiian style hotdogs, you HAVE to try one! If you like to cook you will want for nothing in the kitchen.We had our morning coffee and evening champagne on the patio, overlooking the ocean. The hosts are very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The Host (Doug & Candy) was unbelievably fast to respond from the first inquiry about the condo all the way through our stay. The first condo we had in mind didn't work out, so they worked to get us into another one with ocean front view and air conditioning. During our stay, we got up early and sat on the lanai to watch the sun come up. At night, we were back there again watching the moon on the ocean and listening to the waves hit the rocks below. We also were able to see a lot of turtles as well during the day. We explored all four sides of the island during our visit. It was very much appreciated that Doug & Candy provided coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, etc. to make our trip even easier. Knowing there was a washer/dryer in the condo caused us to pack about 50% lighter than we normally would making the traveling so much easier. We were also pleasantly surprised how well the condo was stocked with supplies such as body wash, shampoo, soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, etc. We loved our stay.

This property is all about the view. You watch and hear huge waves breaking along the coastline. We saw turtles swimming in the water every day and even dolphins playing in the waves from the balcony. The sunsets were perfect ever evening. This is a true 3 bedroom 3 bath property. I would consider the upstairs the master as it has the bigger bathroom and bedroom has a peek a boo view. The pool is only for dipping. We used the grill daily. The condo was perfectly stocked which was fantastic! They really have thought of making your life easy if you are staying her. The only down side is the balcony is too small to have a chaise lounge. There is a dining room table for 6 outside. We would sit on the dining room chairs to read and look at the view. I would stay again as the view is so perfect! You just can’t get this view at any hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! It’s hard to describe how beautiful the view is and how amazing it is to watch the huge turtles in the surf. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this one by far had the best amenities to make the stay comfortable. The kitchen is so well stocked with cooking pots/pans/plates/glassware and it was also so nice to have k cups supplied as well as cooking staples like olive oil and some spices etc.. we had an incredible 3 nights there. The AC was great for nighttime sleeping and it was nice to wash our clothes as we had come from a hotel. The location is great for walking to the beach or hiking or walking to restaurants. We loved Brennekes ! And it was cool to see all the turtles across from there at dusk. I highly recommend this property and would go back more if it wasn’t so far from Boston!! Our stay was amazing! My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the location: open the sliding doors to let it the sound of the waves,. go out the front door for the choir of bird song! We enjoyed breakfast and sea-turtle watching from the deck in the morning, and cocktails and sunset-gazing in the evening. We enjoyed having the A/C when we came in from a hike, or to cool our room at night. The kitchen was fantastically stocked with every utensil we could desire. The light and beachy interior was clean and tastefully decorated. The hosts were very friendly and speedy responding to any questions we had.

One of the most gorgeous vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. The view is absolutely perfect. Saw whales and many turtles from the balcony. The interior of condo is well decorated and spacious. The upper level master has a spa feel to it. Bathroom with soaker tub and separate shower. Essentially all amenities provided toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and coolers also available for use. Doug and Candy make the check in/out processes super easy Highly recommend. Pictures don’t do this property justice. This gorgeous house has the most amazing views I have ever seen. We watched turtles swimming from our window every day. The location is outstanding and a brief walk to Poipu beach where there were turtles and seals sleeping on the beach, benches for picnics and pristine sand for playing and sunbathing. Short walk to the beautiful Hyatt and its restaurants. The beds are comfortable and the 2 story home would easily accommodate 6 adults in the 3 bedrooms. There are also pull-out couches. Fully equipped kitchen with a dining table indoors and a lovely dining table on the lanai for outdoor dining. Upstairs loft with a comfortable L shaped couch and large screen TV. The bathrooms are recently remodeled and lovely. Doug and Candy were very responsive by text for any help and questions. I loved Kauai and cannot wait to return.

What a view! Turtles everyday, you can watch them forage in the waves right from your deck. Whales and dolphins, too. The ocean view fills the wide windows in the main room. You can explore small tide pools and dip in the pool. A good central location to set off to various destinations. The house was comfortable and well furnished. Great to have AC that can be individually controlled in each room.

We absolutely loved this property! We’ve already booked again for next year. Great location near beaches, nice walking trails, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. Beautiful view right from the condo! You can literally watch turtles all day long from the lanai. Beautifully decorated and stocked with all you need. Only two things to be aware of- it’s a top floor condo, which is great for views, but there is no elevator. This means lots of stairs. It wasn’t an issue for us, but something to be aware of. There is onsight parking , but it’s a tight garage. Fine for a smaller vehicle, but a big suv might be a challenge. Overall a great place to stay!! This is our new favorite rental!

Wow. What a vacation home. The patio was large and had a 6 person dining table. When we got there, we put down our luggage and sat for hours with our cocktails just looking at the breaking surf on the rocky shoreline. Being on the 3rd floor gave a great view of ocean and sunsets were plentiful.
Inside there was a fully stocked kitchen with anything that you need.
There was one large master bedroom with a big bathroom and access to a private den. 2 other privet rooms with their own bathrooms rounded out the sleeping rooms.
The grounds were nice and a pool and grill available.
Access to the beach was a bit of a hike or short drive. We saw turtles and dolphins almost everyday
The hosts could not have been nicer. They provided info before we got there on their unit and what to do on the island in general. (Thanks Candy and Doug !!)

We visited during my kids fall break from school. We had a family of 6 (my wife and I, our kindergartener and our toddler, and the two grandmothers), and we made great use of this condo. Has an amazing view; you'll feel like you're actually at sea. Very close to Poipu Beach, which has a sheltered cove which is great for little ones, or for watching sea turtles! Owners were very polite and responsive. You will have a great time at this place!

You are definitely missing out if you do not stay in this unit!!! I was pleasantly shocked to realize all that was available for us.....Beach Chairs, Beach Umbrellas, Boogy Boards, Snorkel Gear and binoculars. The Beach Towels were numerous and fabulous. The kitchen was stocked so very well, including a step stool to reach the high cabinet shelves. They provided soap for dishes, for the laundry, dish washer, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, the refrigerator ice machine kept us plentifully supplied, and the cooking utensils/pots & pans, microwave, coffee machine was better supplied than my own kitchen. All you need to but is food!
All the furniture was comfortable and the beds quite comfy!!!
You get more than your money's worth,, believe me!!!! I hope to stay here once again. Oh, a big plus....checking out you only had to run the dishwasher, hang wet towels, empty trash, close windows & doors, and turn off all lights and air conditioners!!! It definitely couldn't be any easier. We all say we would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. Thank you Doug and Candy!!!

Doug and Cindy are very friendly, we left some clothes, and we called to ask if they could be shipped them, and we are willing to pay the shipment fee, they said we don't have to, next thing you know package arrived within few days. The house is lovely and clean; everything you need is right there, . I give it 10+ stars.

We have stayed in the Poipu area many times and this place has turned out to be my favorite. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed many hours watching the turtles, waves and even a monk seal. Before we arrived an air conditioning system was put in, but we did not have to use it very much. The breeze with the windows open cooled the house quite well. We enjoyed walking to the Hyatt in the mornings and the shops and restaurants were not far away. Highly recommend this rental.

We visited three islands on this trip. I was most looking forward to this island and this stay. It did not disappoint. The view from the unit was breathtaking. I loved hearing the ocean and watching the sea turtles swim in the waves.
Every breakfast was on the ocean-facing Lanai. Ample room for our family of 5.
The unit was well equipped and the owners were available and helpful to provide information .
I hope to return again. It was simply lovely.

Super comfortable. Great for morning coffee watching the ocean waves, reading a book in the comfy living room overlooking the ocean waves, and having dinner on the deck while yes, watching the sunset over the ocean waves. You can't get closer to the water than this!
Beds were all comfortable. The ocean can be loud in the master bedroom. You can adjust the window louvres to quiet it while still having a breeze. Kitchen very well organized and stocked. Enjoyed the TV loft. No issues with parking. (There are stairs so maybe not for those with mobility issues.) The house was spotlessly clean and has plenty of linens and towels. Appreciated having all of the basics stocked (detergents, soaps, paper, etc...), plus some beach supplies. No fuss entry and check out.
We loved the location since many of our activities were on the West coast. Walking to both Brennecke's and Shipwreck beaches is easy and pleasant, and also recommend finding your way to nearby Mahaulepu Beach (we drove then hiked down) which is stunning and not crowded. For a quick bite check out the friendly poolside bar and grill next door at The Point at Poipu.

Absolutely deserves a 5 star rating! If I had to nitpick something it would be the parking ... its a bit tricky for a large vehicle but there are two parking areas and we managed just fine! Our family, 3 married adult couples, selected this property to celebrate college graduations and gainful employment by all, and it did not disappoint! Beautiful location and view of the rocky coastline, including plenty of turtle and whale watching right from the balcony. A short walk to Brennecke Beach, where uncrowded sunbathing and boogie boarding was enjoyed by all. Close to a nice walking trail along the coast. The property was exactly what we needed, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Very clean and well stocked. The only sarcastic complaint was “the waves are too loud!” Beautiful property, worth the price for the views, size and location.

The view was incredible which is why we rented this unit. We woke up to the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks every morning. It was heavenly! We saw sea turtles and whales from the balcony! The condo worked great for our family of four. We enjoyed having the beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and coolers to take to the beach. Although the beach items have obviously been well used and may need to be replaced soon. One downside was the lack of AC and since it was a west facing unit it really heated up the place in the afternoon and often didn’t cool down until after we had gone to bed. Also beware that if you have mobility issues this is not the unit for you. There are stairs coming from the parking garage and the unit is on the third floor. However we loved the Poipu area beaches and restaurants. We had a wonderful vacation on Kauai!

We were a family of five adults staying here in mid January. Everything about the condo and location were superb. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and the entire family agreed that this was the best. The kitchen was unbelievably well stocked with high end small appliances, great quality dishes and glassware of every type. Every kind of pot or pan, a great toaster oven, blender, coffee maker. There were tons of clean towels and beach towels, and again, very high quality. Soft sheets, comfortable beds. The cross ventilation was excellent. We loved being between Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach. An easy 10 min walk to Poipu for a lovely park and great beach. The Heritage Trail winds along the oceanfront to the Hyatt, which is an experience in itself. We had great snorkeling at Poipu and were thrilled with the sleeping turtles and monk seals on the beach, which were protected by local volunteers. As everyone has mentioned, there is a constant parade of sea turtles you can watch from the lanai of the condo and we saw quite a few humpbacks early and late in the day. We loved being on the top floor, as you have no neighbors. So great for COVID times. The sunsets and water views were breathtaking.
Easy drive to many restaurants and coffee shops.
Doug and Candy were perfect hosts. They responded to my many questions promptly and kindly. Provided so many things that long distance travelers might need such as fins, snorkels, backpack beach chairs, reef shoes.
We cannot wait to come back. My adult children said it was their best vacation ever. Thanks you so much for a 10 star stay. Oh, and a recommendation for future guests—take the helicopter ride with Jack Harter helicopters. Breathtaking.

Extraordinary private location on the SW Tip of the Garden Isle. This property features unobstructed views of the ocean, with soothing surf, an abundance of sea turtles, and romantic sunsets that sink into the open pacific. This condo is spacious, beautifully maintained and fully equipped. The view is unobstructed and as good as it gets at Poipu--and that is saying something. The owners were extremely helpful and communicative. The walk to Brennecke's and Poipu beaches, to the west, is about 8 minutes. To the east, the coastal trail begins about 2 minutes away and goes on for miles. It couldn't have been better.

We just returned home from our dream vacation in Kauai (8/18/21 thru 8/23/21) made all the more a reality by this stellar property! This was my first time using VRBO so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am always a little suspect about any photos posted online about anything being sold/rented but I must say, the photos for this location couldn't have been any more accurate! From the time that we (2 families totaling 6 adults) entered the front door to be greeted by the spectacular view of the Southern facing Pacific Ocean, through the opening of the refrigerator and pantry stocked with a myriad of beverages and spices/condiments/coffee pods (and a welcome box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts!) as well as appliances/pots/pans, etc. we knew we selected the right location. Upon first stepping onto the lanai, my wife spotted the first sea turtle bobbing in the foamy waves below which were just a few yards away. Then she spotted another...and another...and another...and so on, every morning and afternoon for the length of our stay. Being from the northeast, we were so happy to see these marvelous creatures in the blueish/green crystal waters. One morning we awakened to a rainbow which emanated from the rocks below and towards our west, seemingly feet from us! The morning of our last day, we were blessed to witness a pod of dolphins, bounding through the waves, from way out in the ocean coming closer to us, passing just beyond the property's shoreline. Natures marvels were available to us at any time of day due to the location of this place. The condo was clean and spacious and clearly ready for our arrival. Doug & Candy (the owners) were very communicative and made the check-in/out processes a breeze. Speaking of breeze, while there is no AC, keeping the louver windows opened on both ends of the condo allowed for a steady, refreshing flow of air throughout the home. The place is complimented by ceiling and stand-fans . The property comes with free parking (on a dual-level garage) and seems a bit tight especially on the main level (as there are support beams across the area) however we had a Dodge Grand Caravan and were able to move around the parking lot with nary any issues. There are steps to navigate (both up and down) so the arrival and departure dates can be cumbersome if you have a lot of luggage, which we did. These are small issues compared to the amazing property, hospitality and locality!

I rented this condo along with my parents, my wife and daughter. We read all the previous reviews before renting. Doug is by far the most accommodating host we have ever experienced. The condo was well stocked- plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent Kleenex - all the essentials were included.
His “beach closet” has chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc….. beach toys for my daughter.
The condo was immaculate.
The view from the living room was spectacular. Exactly as Doug’s picture show and exactly as he describes.
Doug answered every question prior to our vacation quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this condo from Doug again.
We were glad we had a car to get to the beach. It is definitely walkable from the condo to the beach but walking with all the “beach stuff” it was easier to drive.
We went down to the lava rock most every night to watch the sunset.
Simply put do not hesitate to rent this condo!

This location is fantastic! We were able to see whales and sea turtles from our balcony. Kitchen, while a bit small, is well stocked as noted by other reviewers. This placed worked great for our family of 6!

This condo is absolutely perfect for seeing turtles, dolphins and whales right from the comfort of the balcony and living area!!! This beautiful condo is exactly as shown in the pictures...there were no surprises! It accommodated our family of 3 couples perfectly. Also, it is very well appointed with lots of extra amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. Much more than I have ever seen in previous VRBO rentals. A big bowl of fresh fruit, macadamia nuts, and chocolates were also provided for our pleasure. The owners were a joy to work with...very organized and got back with us immediately. The only small complaint we have is there is not an elevator, so be prepared to haul your luggage up three flights of stairs! We considered this our workout, so it was no big deal to us. We will definitely be back and will recommend this condo to our friends and family!! Mahalo!

We loved our stay at this beautiful condo. When we walked in, at sunset, the view quite literally took our breath away. Everything about the place was meticulously well-kept, clean, and thoughtfully appointed. The owner and house manager were very quick at communication and also went way above and beyond and brought treats and beautiful Hawaiian flowers during the week. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with an oceanfront view you absolutely cannot beat.
Parking was a little tricky at first- we ended up opting to park on the top level because it was hard to maneuver the vehicles around the beams downstairs. The stairs were fine- just be prepared for them if you’re bringing a lot of luggage or if you get carried away picking up groceries (which we definitely did- oops!) The toy closet had everything we needed to enjoy a beach day out, and came in handy a few times! We personally didn’t use the grill/bbq, but definitely would next time. They’re all really well-kept and sparkling clean. The pool areas are nice but very small. Nice for a quick dip to cool off though. We saw a huge snail at one of the pools on our first night! It took a little time for us to figure out the best way to cool the condo- pro tip, do exactly as the owners suggest. It works, I promise. ;) We also kept bedroom doors closed so the rooms stayed cooler. We hooked up our Apple TV and watched a couple movies on our last night there- it was so comfortable and cozy.
I hope to come back to Kauai, and if/when we do, we’d love to stay here again! I did rent one night at the Hyatt during our stay so we could have a “big” pool day, but that was plenty. We were very happy to come home to our serene and private condo at the end of that busy day! It’s just a totally different feel and it’s a great way to spend your downtime.

This was without a doubt the best VBRO - HomeAway stay we have ever experienced - and we have done many. The condo is very nice - it was very spacious for the five of us and would easily accommodate 3 couples/6 people. The kitchen was very well supplied - better than any previous rental. The owners are great - and are nearby. We had a minor problem with the entertainment system one afternoon and Doug came right over and fixed the problem (loose connection). The place is very convenient to some nice beaches. This part of the island is not nearly as busy as Lihue or Princeville - and we like that. But there are still many good food options - Doug has good advice - and also good shopping options. We spent 7 wonderful days here and can’t wait to come back and visit Kauai. I highly recommend this condo for your next trip. And I believe he has a smaller one if you do not need this much space.

My husband, 20 month old son and I had a wonderful time. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We had a few issues when we got there (dirty floors, tub that wouldn’t drain, no blackout shades), but Doug and Lea got back within minutes of us texting them and everything was resolved faster than I thought imaginable. It was extremely impressive. The upstairs loft was an absolute dream to wake up in with views of the ocean. The only reservation I have is that the floor is fully tiled and has glass tables everywhere. So we had to keep a very close eye on our toddler. But all went well and he loved the beach toys they had available for him to play with. All in all it was a wonderful stay. Thank you!

In a word, Wow!! If you’re looking for the perfect ocean view in Kauai, this is the place. Doug and Candy made an effort to ensure that the unit was ready to go and everything was working well. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. The beds were comfortable and the dining table on the lanai was a nice touch. We could pick up some food locally and enjoy the ocean and palm trees while we ate. We had a great stay in Kauai and the condo made our time all the more memorable. We saw lots of sea turtles right out front, but the big crashing waves were just as fun to watch. I highly recommend both the condo and Doug and Candy…first class all the way.

This location and property were exactly as advertised - fantastic. The views from the lanai were gorgeous and the property lacked nothing. It was excellently appointed and everything was in working order. It was extremely clean and well kept. Doug and Candy made the whole experience painless and they were highly accommodating hosts. There was nothing lacking and hopefully at some point in the future I can get the opportunity to return.
