We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional proximity of this unit to various amenities. It was truly delightful that our teenagers had the convenience of walking to the beach, shopping plaza, restaurants, and the athletic club. Speaking of the club, it exceeded our expectations in every way. The photographs don’t capture the true essence of both the condo and club; they are even more impressive in person. Opting for the upgraded unit was unquestionably a wise decision, and the disparity between it and another unit we viewed was substantial.
We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to engage in tennis, exercise, and dining directly across the street at the club. Moreover, the adjacent plaza offered an array of outstanding dining options, including Mexican, Thai, sushi, gelato, and Italian (notably featuring a superb gluten-free crust), among several others. When deciding between the north end (Princeville area) and this location, we couldn't be happier with our choice of the south side, which offers a wealth of family-friendly activities & beautiful beaches.
The property boasts comfy beds, large TVs, a selection of books and games, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, making our stay all the more enjoyable. It was meticulously cleaned and well-maintained. I highly recommend this beachside community.
I'd like to commend the owners for their excellent communication and their unwavering commitment to ensuring that guests have the best possible vacation experience.

We loved our week in Laura's condo! She was lightning fast responsive, extremely helpful in her replies, and very accurate in her descriptions. The condo was clean, updated, and had all the amenities we needed for a week in Paradise. The location within walking distance to the beach was ideal, and the resort grounds were meticulously maintained with plumeria and mango trees among orchids and palms. Thank you for for sharing your little piece of Paradise with us. We hope to return again, not so far in the future. Mahalo and e malama!

This was our first real travel with our daughter and it was perfect for her. We had an amazing time here. The location was so much better than we anticipated, you're so close you can hear the waves. Just a 4min walk to the actual beach which, at least for the duration of our stay, wasn't crowded at all. Our daughter spread out all the sand castles.
The accommodation itself was very clean, nice relaxing decor (even better than the pictures at the moment) and well stocked with kitchen cooking needs so we could prepare a few of our own meals. Our daughter could spread out and be a rambunctious 3yo without disturbing anyone. And the AC! AC is a must for a bunch of northerners who aren't used to humidity!
Overall we loved our stay so much we've already made it a goal to visit in two years, this time with both kids.

Our family has vacationed at Kiahuna Plantation many times since 1991. This time we really enjoyed our stay in Unit 243.
It was our first time having the option of air conditioning which was great for a warm week in August!
Being closer to the road was NOT a problem since with the air conditioning running and a great sound machine it was very quiet. With small children we were heading to terrific pool every afternoon which was just a quick walk away. This unit had MUCH more on hand than we have found on previous trips: High chair, portacrib, children's books, beach chairs, lots of pool toys and sand toys, boogie boards. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the decor.

This is a great property that is just a short walk from the Poi Pu beach. The property is large, with lots of room the stretch out. Across the street are great restaurants, and the property is a short drive from both Safeway and Costco in Lihue. Laura is a great host, and is very responsive to guest's needs. The property comes stocked with all the things you need for a great day at the beach, including boogie boards and snorkel gear. The property also has all the basics you need (spices, rice, etc.) to cook a wonderful dinner at home after a long day at the beach. I highly recommend Laura and her property!

What can I say about this amazing place? I’ve stayed in a number of units on this property and this one fit us perfectly. It was our first experience having A/C in the unit - which is a game changer! The upgraded bathrooms, flooring, and furniture really stood out and enhanced our 2 week stay.
We adore the property’s plants and large grassy areas, we accessed the club across the street for the gym and pool almost everyday, a short walk to one of the best beaches in the world, easy access to shops and restaurants, it truly was paradise for us.
Laura was very communicative, flexible, and helpful. Everything you could want in a host. My other family members didn’t book through VRBO and were jealous of our connection and communication. She was very generous opening up her home and it made us want to return the favor by honoring and taking care of it during our stay.
We try to go to Poipu Beach every 3-5 years - I’ve stayed at a different unit each time but I will absolutely try to book this one with Laura again.

We rented 3 condos in this resort for a family gathering. This particular condo became the favorite place to hang out because the upstairs living room/dining room area is so comfortable and spacious and it was the only one unit with air conditioning.

We loved staying here. The condo is well stocked (beach chairs, kitchen basics). The lawn and beach area were so nice and great for swimming which is not always the case in Kauai. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and very safe. All in all it is an extremely relaxing location and comfortable stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed Laura’s place. We had everything we need and actually more!
The kitchen was well stocked with everything including Tupperware which is always hard to come by. Cozy linens and comfy living room couch made sleeping and relaxing easy.
Even had a few toys and kids books for my 3 yr old. We forgot a sound machine and thankfully the second bedroom had one.
All of the beach gear was so nice to have, made our beach trips great.
The only one downfall is the interior doors are slatted and so noise travels very easily. And the air conditioner out back makes a plane take off and landing noise that kept me up. But I’m a light sleeper!
Note that the pool is located at the Athletic club across the st, a short drive. That wasn’t clear to me from the description. So long walk but accessible. It was a nice club!
We highly recommend this unit to anyone, including small families!

I was in need of a book for the beach it would have been nice to have a few books on the bookshelf since book stores are hard to find around this location.

We had a wonderful vacation staying at this two bedroom, two bathroom condo. The walk from the front door of the condo to the ocean was 5 minutes. Downstairs are two bedrooms (each with air conditioners), two bathrooms (both with showers) and a patio. On the patio was a first storage unit with four sets of snorkel gear that we enjoyed using and a second storage with body boards, a surf board, three umbrellas, three beach chairs and sand toys. Upstairs was a full kitchen, dining area and living room (with air conditioning) and a balcony with lounges and table/chairs to eat outdoors. The owner was very responsive to any request that we had. The instructions to get the key was very detailed and easy to follow. When we arrived, the unit was very clean. If you like making tropical drinks and smoothies, there is a very high end blender. The Poipu area is a great place to stay, with the best weather on the island and great beaches. Hike at the Waimea canyon too. We had a great stay and hope to return.

We absolutely loved our stay at the condo. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was a real treat after afternoons on the beach and made for a wonderful nights sleep. Communication with Laura was easy and her responses to all of our questions was quick and very helpful. The kitchen is well equipped and the owners have thought about everything we could need, including a countertop ice machine. We’ve been to Kauai many times and stayed in many different hotels and condos but my family and I all agree that this was our favorite spot. We look forward to returning to Kauai and staying in the same condo.

What a great condo. Clean, updated and beautiful.
When you first walk in the Condo you got a few stairs up to the beautiful living room and kitchen. Nice hardwood floors and a granite kitchen. There’s a huge lanai off the living room with two lounge chairs and a nice table to eat dinner at. This unit has everything you need, including air-conditioning.
Downstairs are the two bedrooms. There is a king bed in the master and also in the guest room. Both beds are incredibly comfortable. The sheets and linens provided are soft and high-quality. There’s a nice lanai off the master bedroom with two lounge chairs and two sitting chairs. I sat there every morning and drank my coffee. I loved all the birds and the beautiful garden views. So quiet at night.
The condo has everything you need to cook a great meal. A beautiful dining room table upstairs. Laura has even provided beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and umbrellas.
The condo is located up near the road. Once you’re inside the condo you do not hear the road. Also the road is completely quiet at night. I thought I would miss having an ocean view. But because this condo is so clean, beautiful and lovely garden views. I did not miss it at all. Just a short walk down to the beach. There is a beach shack that provides chairs and towels. Large grass area to sit and relax watch the sunset
We visited the pool but I did not use it because we love the ocean. However it was nice to have the option
This is probably one of the nicest units in kiahuna. Plan on staying there next summer. Thank you Laura for a fantastic trip

Fantastic for a long weekend getaway from Honolulu. Unit is clean and cool with AC is all rooms. Property is serene and quiet. Everything we needed for the weekend was within walking distance. We rented a car, which was nice for airport plus a couple quick runs to Kukuiula shops. Great beach access, food options And Poipu Athletic Club pool is amazing and all just a couple minutes walk away. The buildings are a little noisy if kids or heavy walkers are around. But this is 100% to be expected of Hawaii structures with limited insulation. Remember, you come to Hawaii because it’s different. It’s not the mainland…and people live here, not everyone is on vacation. Spread aloha and help us keep it that way! :) We found or weekend getaway!

It was newly remodeled, however there wasn’t any air conditioning and the townhouses were hot. Also the bedrooms were on the bottom floor. I thought that was strange, because when someone turns in early they’re kept awake by everyone else walking around upstairs. But the worst part was the undisclosed cleaning fees of over $200 which were in addition to the $260 rental fee that we agreed to. If we knew it would be almost $500/night we would have booked a luxury resort!

Ahhhh - Could there be a sweeter place to stay on all the island??? We think not!! Everything was so lovely. Chris and Laura have gone to such great lengths to ensure that every detail is tailored to make our visit incredible! The condo is modern, clean and has fun extras such as beach gear, etc.
In addition to all of these things, there is just a nice, sweet, good feeling here. We can feel the love this family has for each other and their special home away from home. We completely loved our stay at our wonderful #243! Thank you so very much!!!

Lovely beach access, with the most beautiful green lawns and grounds leading up to the beach. The remodeled unit is very clean and user friendly with everything you need. Not only is the unit wonderful but Poipu is the best area to stay on the island for a few reasons: 1) the beach is sandy, safe, and not crowded 2) the weather in Poipu is very sunny and warm even if it's raining elsewhere on the island 3) every day we went down to the beach we saw sea turtles and monk seals sunning and relaxing- one day we even saw a breaching whale and calf 4) it's the perfect jumping off point for island activities and has most of the good restaurants on the island in this area. 10/10 would come again.

The condo is newly renovated and the beds and furnishings are very comfortable. The condo is located at the
Back of the property so there is some
Road noise at night. The 2 bedrooms are downstairs along with the 2 bathrooms. The condo had a beach umbrella, boogie boards, flipper...a good selection for going to the beach. The kitchen was also stocked with all the cook and dishwate we needed for 5 days.
The overall property felt very relaxed-not as hectic as some of the nearby resorts.
We liked how the property was centrally located between Poipu and Lawai. Great restaurants abound in this little area. We look forward to going back!

This lovely condo is in a prime location, just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches (Popui)on Kauai. It is very spacious, with a large master bedroom and bathroom, a second bedroom and second bath, an extremely comfortable queen-size fold out sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, and two perfect balconies/lanais with outdoor furniture to sit and eat outside. There is a shopping center with a number of Hawaiian shops and a Starbucks directly across the street. They have outdoor live hula shows and live music there a couple of nights a week. One of the nicest restaurants on the island, Keoki’s Paradise, is also directly across the street. You will also find live music there at both the restaurant and the bar. A short drive or walk down the street will bring you to another larger shopping center with many local shops, a high-end art gallery (where the owners purchased most of the spectacular artwork in the home ), restaurants with great happy hour specials, and a farmers market during the week with wonderful local delicacies and live music performers. There is a great swimming pool and athletic club across the street from the condo with free access for condo residents. It is a lovely setting, with a fun ping-pong table and a grill that serves food and Hawaiian drinks, with or without alcohol. A short drive down the street in the other direction will bring you to the Grand Hyatt hotel, an excellent place to stroll through the lush gardens or watch a morning sunrise.
The condo itself is equipped with everything you will need, from towels and beachtowels to 3 TVs, to hairdryers, to the coffee pot and coffee! There are many activities nearby, like snorkeling, hiking and surfing. The condo is just 30 minutes from the airport, and on the way you will find Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Macy’s, and other stores If needed. But you will probably want to spend most of your time right outside of the condo facing the ocean, watching the incredible sunsets and marveling at your good fortune and finding this amazing place!
Laura is an excellent host, communicating clearly, and she is very responsive to the needs of her guests.
We will definitely return to this oasis!

The updated condo is attractive and comfortable, with everything we needed for ourselves and three young children. The Kiahuna resort maintains the grounds meticulously, so everywhere you walk looks like a tropical garden full of flowers and birds. This unit includes access to the beach club across the street. This is where the kids wanted to go every day of our trip--it is a huge amenity and an easy walk from the condo. We had a great trip and highly recommend!

My husband and I recently vacationed in this exact condo unit for the second time! We first discovered it in 2016 and couldn't wait to return. We couldn't imagine staying in any place other than "Ocean Blue." It is the perfect place to truly enjoy your time in Kauai. We enjoyed many mornings at the gym facilities, and many afternoons/evenings in the hot tub and pool area located just up the hill. We noticed other parts of the island to be somewhat rainy and windy. But once we returned to Poipu it was all sun, surf, and sand! The beach within walking distance from the condo is perfectly sheltered from any wind, and was always sunny and pleasant. We only spent one afternoon away from Poipu our entire 2 week vacation because this property had everything we could need: a clean and spacious condo, a beautiful beach, an outdoor shopping area, and many places to eat.
The owner was wonderfully pleasant to work with, and we enjoyed a kitchen that was fully stocked with all the utensils and cooking equipment we could want, which made it really feel like it was a home away from home.
We are already planning our next vacation here and hope to bring friends with us to also experience "Ocean Blue" - there is plenty of room!

We were so fortunate that Ocean Blue was available for our dates. The condo was perfect for myself,4 year old grandson and my cousin. Laura's attention to detail made our stay a relaxing and enjoyable one. There were snorkels ,boogie boards,a beach umbrella, and beach chairs.
The condo's location in the resort provided quiet and privacy. We enjoyed grilling local fish on the nearby grill.The beach was an easy four minute walk across the grass. The pool was not as centrally located as I thought .However,once there it had a great sandy and pool area for young children.
The shopping area across the street was fun and had some good dining options.
We had a fabulous dinner at the resorts Plantation restaurant .
More lighting in the living room and perhaps a few flashlights for the bbq. would be great.
