We enjoyed our stay in the house that I was raised in. It was very comfortable.
I was surprised with the availability of all kitchen equipment and cooking supplies that were provided. We grilled chicken and vegetables and it worked out great.

Very cute older cottage within walking distance to the beach. Lots of fans but only AC in the master bedroom. The hostess Debra is very attentive and was quick to respond to any of our needs. It was the quiet place we were hoping for! The garden in the back yard is beautiful and a great place to drink tea/coffee in the morning.

We stayed in 3 places on Kauai to avoid long drives, and this plantation house was a great start. Beautiful sitting area with a fountain and lush planting, great hosts who met our requests. Just 5 minute walk to a sunset beach and close to Waimea Canyon hikes. The house was built with salvaged materials after WWII and has tons of charm.

Debra is an excellent hostess, providing everything her guests could want in a clean and safe environment. If you need some beach equipment, she’s got it ready for you. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are very comfortable. Easily sleeps six. As an added bonus, she’ll let you get all the dog loving you want from her pup! Highly recommend this property.

We loved this cozy little cottage style home. I knew there would be enough space for 3 but this was over the top. Tons of room for 4 and just enough for 6 if needed. So many windows for that evening breeze. We really didn't use the fans or AC too much. Very well stocked which we appreciated cause we did do quite a few meals at home. Debra, Hoku and her charming husband are fantastic to deal with. Appreciated the hospitality, tips and fresh mangos from their tree. Mahalo guys. There is doubt, we'll see you again.

The house is very nice. There are a lot of windows which allow for evening breezes. The owner came on our first day and showed us where everything is. She was so helpful. Neglected to ask about pets, as my son is severely allergic to cats - but that is on me. The area is well-maintained and quiet - lovely waterfall in the backyard. A good place for a get away!

We absolutely loved our time here and were able to easily relax! The hosts were incredibly kind and friendly, and gave the best tips for local snorkeling spots! The location is perfect for Waimea Canyon and a long Na Pali cruise. The outdoor grill was perfect for home cooked meals at the end of the day and there were plenty of kitchen tools available. The beds were very comfortable and we would totally stay here again!

Debra has made a very comfortable, attractive place to stay. We had a great time and were able to easily relax and have a "vacation at home" kind of experience. Easy to get to all of the west attractions and much of the south attractions, too. Debra made it easy to enjoy the beaches with her provision of towels, chairs, and a shower specific for coming back from the ocean, so heading near or a little bit far was barely a consideration. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

This property is exactly as advertised, and was even better in person. Host Debra had excellent communication with us. We loved this home, the water feature sounds from the back lenai, the exotic bird sounds (and rooster, ha), and all the fans in the home. It was VERY comfortable, and AC in the primary bedroom. The house is well stocked with every dish, glassware, utensil you will ever need, AND snorkel gear, beach chairs and towels, etc. to use! Debra even loaned us her life jackets. It was a great surprise when she brought us fresh mangos that we enjoyed each morning. SO sweet and delicious! Location was great - in a very nice, quiet residential neighborhood, walking distance to watch the sun set on the beach each night. Easy driving distance to anywhere you want to go on the island. We would 100% come back to this home, we loved it. I recommend booking it if it's available!

This vacation home was exactly what we had hoped. Cute vintage beach house/old Hawaii vibe with great tradewind cross-ventilation and lots of natural light.
Gracious hosts, spacious rooms, easy walk to ocean, lovely landscaping. Comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen and beach gear and outdoor grill. Beautiful night sky with Milky Way views. Close to Kokee. Relaxed neighborhood.
I have honestly never stayed in a more comfortable, better-appointed or better located VRBO in Hawaii. And I have stayed in very many of them.

Debra and Liko are great. They were communicative and accommodating. This is a truly Hawaiian neighborhood so don't expect resort-like conditions. We stayed here for one month and while we experienced some problems with the house it was pretty minor stuff. Didn't ever lock the doors as the neighborhood is safe it just gets noisy toward morning. Loved the pond and the owners have a very friendly dog. We visited during very pleasant weather. For a summertime stay though there really needs to be a couple more window air conditioners for the other two bedrooms. The fans don't quite get them cool enough to sleep comfortably.

Debra was a very pro-active host who responded quickly to all request. The home was very relaxing, off the main road and the Koi Pond provided additional tranquility. We choose this location, being relatively close to Waimea Canyon. It was perfect, in location. We arrived on Thanksgiving with food to cook and there was enough kitchen objects in the kitchen to cook our simple dinner. Like many homes in Hawaii this is a single wall construction, and open air. It has air co You can hear Kauai chickens in the distance, and if you listen carefully you can hear the ocean at night. We walked to the ocean at night, stepped black sand beach, And gazed at at am amazing dark sky with stars we can never see and the milkyway visble. There's a super friendly quiet dog who greets you.

If getting away from the south shore crowds sounds appealing, this house and this town offer the perfect solution. It’s comfortable, quiet, filled with light and steady ocean breezes. It was everything that we were looking for. Debra was a generous, responsive host, and there was nothing we needed that wasn’t readily available. Beaches are close at hand, Waimea Canyon is a short(ish) drive, and there’s tasty, if somewhat limited, food available within a 20-minute drive. We can’t wait to return!

There are so many wonderful things to say about this charming comfortable home. We absolutely loved everything about staying here. The decor was awesome.The location is wonderful just past the charming city of Waimea. Walking distance to the ocean to see amazing sunrises and a short drive to a wonderful beach Kekaha!! So much beach equipment available to use, a grill and spices and seasonings available. The relaxing koi pond just steps from the back door was amazing!!! Our host Debra was so wonderful. It was a nice touch for the host to share some mangos from the tree on the property! They we delicious! My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what we believe and refer to Kauai as “ our happy place” and staying here was absolutely perfect for us. PS- Debra we absolutely loved our daily visits from Hoku🐾❤️🐾. Extremely grateful for our stay and our time on Kauai. We will be back🌴🌈❤️! Mahalo!

This is a charming, spacious house that we used as a base camp for exploring Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park. We appreciated Debra's tips about snorkeling spots and nearby beaches, and we also enjoyed the mangos that she kindly brought us. However, since the A/C is only in the master bedroom, we were pretty hot in the living room and kitchen in the evenings. The ceiling fans helped and the open windows let in some breeze, but they also seemed to let in some bugs — we had a steady stream of ants on the bathroom vanity, as well as a few other critters in the bathtub and kitchen.

Amazing and quick responding host! Friendly neighbors. We visited just in time to dig into some fresh tree ripen Mangos!! (Early September) Debra and Liko were kind enough to gift us some. 😬🤗 the good/bad news is that since they are on the west side of the island they are at least 30-50 mins from the more popular spots for shopping and restaurants. But it has less people/traffic so it’s nice trade off. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely be back when we get a chance! Mahalo!

We enjoyed our stay in this nice home on Kauai. It was spacious and well-equipped. The dining area is very pretty and we had takeout meals there. The only issue we had was that the listing says the place is air conditioned but only the master bedroom is. We slept comfortably since it was just the two of us but the house got hot during the day even with the windows open and fans on. I think it’s important to state very clearly that there is only one window unit in the house. Debra was great to deal with and we had no other issues. Some of the beach chairs need replacing but we found two usable ones. It’s a lovely house and we liked being near Salt Pond Beach Park, which was great for swimming and snorkeling, and the beautiful Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

We were visiting family in Kehaha and chose Debra’s place for location. It was bright, airy and Debra’s dog Hoku was the highlight of our trip! The only real bummer was that the beach gear was worse for wear and had I known I’d have rented stuff ahead of time. But really, not even an issue and it was a WONDERFUL place to stay!

We had a great vacation. The location of the house is perfect, the beach is located down the street and can be accessed by foot. Downtown is located 3-5 minuets away with lots of yummy food and local shops. The property owner is very friendly and she has an adorable dog!

Debra's place is located in a nice quiet neighborhood where you'll wake up to the sound of the hei hei which is quite refreshing. It is sandwiched between Kekaha beach and the foothills close to Waimea Canyon. The spacious house is awesome with lots of natural light and fresh air. We really enjoyed coming home to the house after a day's adventures. Debra made us feel welcome with a special orchid arrangement on the dining table upon our arrival and as an added treat, she shared the delicious mangoes from their backyard tree.

This property was gorgeous, and was very close to so much that we wanted to do.
First of all, the house itself was very nicely appointed. Dark wood floors throughout, ceiling fans on remote controls, and a beautiful dining room where we ate most of our meals. We used the grill out back, the laundry facilities, and the beach chairs and umbrellas that were available.
Secondly, we loved staying on this part of the island. The Kekaha/Waimea side of the island is very quiet, and there is not much going on in terms of restaurants or nightlife. However, if you're taking a boat tour to see the NaPali coast (as we did), then it will likely depart from Kekaha. You are also about as close as you can get to the Awa'awapuhi trailhead, which is the most recommended hike on the island. Finally, you are a short drive to Polihale Beach, which is where we spent our last evening on the island. This long stretch of beach has spectacular views of the NaPali cliffs, miles of soft sand, and no rocks in the water, so playing in the surf is great fun.
Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to meet our host, Debra, but she was very communicative before and during our stay (Debra, I'm sorry I didn't see your message until we returned!), and her instructions and directions were very clear. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Loved Kuaui and our charming 50's Rental house was great! Friendly landlords,living close by, were very gracious. Good location for exploring! Lovely place and lovely people! Having a grill, beach chairs, coolers and umbrellas available to us and beautiful beaches so close was a real plus! Well equipped Kitchen and grocery close were so appreciated. We enjoyed our stay in this house. The owners live next door and have an open ear for problems and questions. There is a beach a few meters walk away.
The only thing missing for us was a table and chairs on the lanai.
