We stayed for two weeks, as I was taking part in the Ironman race this October.
The property was very clean and well-stocked with the essentials.
The kitchen was great with everything needed to make meals as neccessary. I had seen some reviews that the oven was difficult to use, but this wasn't a problem for us, the oven seemed very new and hi-tech (who needs their oven to have Wifi?).
The garage was also well-stocked with pool / beach toys which were really great for the two young children we had with us.
The only problem we had was that the dishwasher didn't seem to work, but when I emailed the vendor thay sent a handyman the same day to fix it.
All in we had a wonderful stay. The location is great in a beautiful, quiet place with easy access to Kailua.

My family and I stayed for a week at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check in process was easy and they were kind enough to let us check in early since our flight arrived in the morning. The location was great, the neighborhood was quiet and very nice. The pool is nice, a little outdated but still nice to have. The beds weee comfortable and the house was well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our family of four!! Location in a private neighborhood close to town was great. The lanai/pool/yard is amazing. We used the grill and kitchen to make many of our meals at the house. The concierge provided with the rental (David) reached out before our trip and helped us book several activities. His recommendations helped us make the best selections and make the most use of our time on the island. Would highly recommend!

We loved the location and outdoor space. The home could use a refresh: rusty kitchen drain, cheap faucet that could not dispense cold water, bathroom fan not working. Spacious interior but odd layout for the space. The bed was comfortable. There are no blinds on master patio door. The sheer curtains didn’t adequately block the light. Master bathroom and closet offered plenty of storage. Strangely there is no shelf in the shower stall for bath products. We enjoyed our stay overall.

We’ve been coming to Hawaii island for many many years. This home is our favorite so far. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, we were not awakened by road noise but rather by bird calls. We to major roadways so store trips didn’t eat up our shopping days. Best, however, is the lovely pool, garden and outdoor eating area. This house is a gem!!

This property is actually what you see online!! The pool and grounds are stunning, the open family room concept was ideal for keeping us all together. The bedrooms were all perfect, especially the master with the HUGE closet and tub!! Close to everything and felt like I was at home:) We will return again soon!

Overall our stay was perfect! Check in and check out process was easy, property management was very easy to get a hold of to answer our questions. Home was kept clean with everything we needed during our stay. The yard was perfectly landscaped and provided a clean pool to enjoy the hot days during our stay. The home is located in a gated community, not far away from supermarkets and town. Neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this home if staying in Kailua Kona.

We had such a good time here. The yard was perfect for our busy toddler, and the pool was so relaxing for my friends, my husband, and me! The house had everything we need to cook breakfast every morning. It was hard to see the settings on the stove, but I expected that after reading the reviews. It wasn't detrimental to our cooking process though lol they have everything you need in the garage for the beach, from umbrellas, chairs, sand, and toys... plus floaties for the pool, and more. They were easy to communicate with, and we wanted to stay longer... but, of course, it was booked! But that's a great place for ya! :) thank you!

Everything about this house was perfect. Not far at all from the airport and the check-in process could not have been easier. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The layout of the house was exactly what my family was looking for. Spacious bedrooms and wide open kitchen and living/dining room area. The backyard was fantastic. Perfect for lounging around and the pool was nice to have once the day started heating up. The location is honestly one of the best parts. You’re not far from any place you would want to visit in Kona. I would definitely come back to this house the next time I’m on the big island.

The house lived up to the pictures online. The pool and backyard was my favorite. It was so quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood was low-key and the house was away from the main road so did not hear much noise. The air conditioner was a blessing! Even in mid-March the weather was in low to mid-80's during the day so the air conditioner helped so much especially sleeping at night.
We ran into trouble regarding the grill - out of propane in the tanks and then the grill burners wouldn't light up even after propane tanks were replaced. Kona Coast Vacations responded promptly (on a Sunday!) and replaced the propane tanks. And then replaced the whole grill on Monday when we called to tell them the burners wouldn't all light up even with the new tanks. They were very helpful.
The kitchen stove is a bit outdated because the numbers were all rubbed off so had to guesstimate the temp level for the stove. The water heater was solar powered so the hot water would sometimes run out of water when two people were taking showers at the same time in the morning. Those were the only negatives but they would not prevent me from renting again.
Kona Coast Vacations also had a lovely gift basket of Kona coffee and treats which was much appreciated!

This was simply one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had in Hawaii. The home was exactly as advertised perhaps even better since there were many things that we found “in stock” that really made it so much fun. The neighborhood is phenomenal (wait till you see the view as you enter the gates). The backyard is paradise—full stop. Thank you for the wonderful time.

Just got home from an amazing week on the Big Island! My parents staying in Kailua-Kona for the month and wanted their 5 adult children and extended families to join them. I rented this beautiful home for our family of 5. Ages 23-60. We loved everything about this property. Amazing views, amazing lanai, perfect set-up, and a short walk to Ali’i Drive (10 mins). A couple siblings rented condos and we definitely hit jackpot with this property. Pool is beautiful and we spent everyday from sunrise to sunset on lanai (when we weren’t hiking or dining out). From coffee listening to the birds every morning to cocktails and cards during sunset, we thoroughly enjoyed this home. There is a view of ocean and the grounds are beautiful

Nice house overall but the some of the appliances need to be updated (the numbers were rubbed off from the stove and the coffee maker - very hard to use) Kitchen was not as well equipped as some of the other rental properties we've stayed in. More pots & pans needed. We needed more towels and blankets but the property manager was EXCELLENT and brought us some right away. The view to the water was not great - the picture on the website was a bit misleading.

We spent 90% of our week hanging out in the pool and on the lanai!!! Spacious! Master bedroom is removed from the the other bedrooms to create privacy. Well stocked kitchen!! Only hiccup is that the yard work and pool cleaners were there while we were and it was a little annoying.

Generally I never give anything 5 stars. Maybe its because we had to cancel so many trips in the past two years due to COVID but I'm rarely this impressed with not only the cleanliness but the overall offerings of a rental. This property inside and out was beautiful and exactly what our family needed. they even had a welcome gift. We love surprises and our boys love snacks- win, win. We are the vacationers that check in, search the cupboards to see what all we may need to pick up, and then hit the store so we can get all we need that first day/evening for the week. Cupboards had lots of seasonings, oil, tupperware, anything you may need. Even had some aloe and sunscreen left over from others. Out door living space was amazing-morning tea/coffee outside listening to all the birds was fun and relaxing. Great pool and yard for botche ball which they had in the garage. beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler came in handy for outings. I read lots of reviews about a crabby neighbor but we never had any issues. Neighborhood is pretty quiet at night in general so as long as you are being respectful of others, I doubt you will have a problem. For those of you still on the fence- book this place. Seriously.

This is a must stay property for your vacation. The home is big and the outside area is spectacular. Gorgeous landscaping with a beautiful, cool, very refreshing pool. Central A/C throughout. Lovely sunsets every evening overlooking the ocean. We gave our stay a four star overall only because a pool was being built next door with backhoes jackhammering almost for our entire 3 week stay. Kona Coast Vacations and the owner had no previous knowledge of the construction and worked with us to provide us with alternatives. They were extremely helpful. This property is in a lovely gated community close to Ali’s Drive and downtown Kailua Kona. The description and photos of the property are accurate and even better when you arrive. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!

This house is gorgeous, well-equipped, and a comfortable home base for all of your Hawaiian activities. One our favorite things was being able to go outside and drink our coffee while watching the sun rise over the volcano, then later on in the day watching the sunset from the same spot. Check-in was completely seamless and we had no issues at all during our stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great property in a great location! David from Kona vacations was extremely helpful proactively reaching us prior to our arrival, answering all our questions along the way and helping us with the bookings, especially at a time when everything was overbooked. We stayed for the entire month of July. 2 children and 2 adults. The house is very spacious and well laid out, more than enough for a family of. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and laundry room. Pool area and lanai is where we hang out most of the time. Internet speed is great for those of you who needs to stay connected. Highly recommended if you are staying in the big island.

My family loved staying at Nani Kahakai. We have rented from Kona Coast Vacations in the Kahakai Estates neighborhood before and always have good properties and good service. We especially liked the large lanai and the pool. The house and yard were very clean and well maintained. We hope to come again. Our favorite things while on Island were: Snorkeling at Honaunau, Mauna Kea, Kua Bay and Waialea Bay. Eating out at Sam Choy's (Keahou), Fish Hopper and Lava Java (Kona). Driving to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach and stopping at the Punalu'u Bakery in Na'alehu for fresh malasadas (Portuguese donuts) on the way - Yum!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. Location was great - only a 5 minute drive from Kona, with a great view of the ocean and sunset each evening. House was clean and very well stocked with linens, towels etc. and kitchen had ample supply of utensils, dishes and pots. Pool is 'solar heated' so was a bit cool for some of us in the group but that is to be expected in Hawaii in Feb. Only suggestion we would have is that a few more loungers by the pool would be nice as 2 loungers wasn't enough for 6 people. We went from busy Honolulu to the Big Island which has a nice laid back feel and we will definitely stay at this house when we do that again.
