This unit is one of the nicest we've ever stayed at. The complete ocean view from both lanais was beautiful. We saw whales every day and watched the sunset every evening. The unit had everything we needed such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs and laundry tabs, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and a stocked kitchen from spices and oils to cooking utensils and more. The pool is very close and looks over the ocean. It has a bar and restaurant and you can order from from your lounge seat. We walked to the King and Queens shops a few times (it's about 1.75 miles) or took the 2 minute drive. The check in and check out process was seamless and the rental company was very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to my questions. David from the complimentary concierge service was helpful in booking excursions for us. Everything was perfect and I'd definitely stay here again!

The home was inviting and very clean. The views were beautiful and the whale sightings as well as sunsets were a plus. The pool was very close which made it convenient.

So the view is amazing. Location and neighborhood as well. The condo it self needs a little attention. Beds are very comfortable but not enough covers. Beds need comforters of some kind. Kitchen stovetop needs serviced. Rusty knives and skillets need replaced. Headboards are not attached to the bed frames. Sectional slides and comes apart into several pieces. Honestly some inexpensive upgrades would make the stay more comfortable.

Views are spectacular. So fun to see the whales playing ... right from our lanai. The condo and grounds were very well kept; Beach club is just a block away. Loved the ocean sounds and breezes. The two story layout worked perfectly for our multi-generation family.

Spacious and comfortable. Great whale watching from the lanai. Close to shops and restaurants. 5 min to a nice beach with turtles and snorkeling. If it was for sale I’d buy it.

Pictures of the view do not do justice! Truly spectacular from both balconies! Club pool and restaurant were fantastic. Great set up - plenty of sun and shade. Great food for lunch and dinner (dinner outside with view of ocean at sunset). Great location! Beach recommendations were spot on … we went to 3 beaches that were all different from each other and all great! We do not want to leave this escape to paradise!

The property was exactly as described. The ocean front location was so peaceful and provided excellent views of sunsets. There were adequate supplies to last us the week. The resort amenities we used were great. The restaurant and bar provided plentiful food and drinks (alcoholic drinks were not weak at all). Top notch restaurant, bar and service, not to mention convenient. VERY convenient location to two shopping centers, including grocery stores, coffee, gas, and restaurants. Would book here again without hesitation.

The condo was as described, clean, and had a fantastic view. The rental company was helpful in most areas. The only problem we had was that there was a home improvement project going on in the condo beneath us which was very noisy (table saw cutting tile and granite) on the lanai for our entire 5 day stay including Saturday and Sunday. When I contacted the rental company they said they did not know it would be happening during our stay, but could not find out any info on how long the project would last as the neighborhood does not require notification of any construction work. We asked to be moved after the second day of the noise disturbance, but they said that wasn’t possible. The rental company offered us a 5% discount for the noise disturbance. Unfortunately, the noise really hampered our ability to relax while on vacation.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was true to the pictures…very clean but maybe a tad outdated. That being said, we had an amazing time. The views can’t be beat. Daily sightings of whales from the lanai. The condo was stocked with all the essentials and easily accommodated five of us. I would highly recommend!

The property was exactly as described in the listing and beyond what we expected and the ocean front view was beyond compare. The location was perfectly situated within easy driving distance of great beaches, restaurants and shopping. We are happy we chose the Waikola Beach area as our base and it was an easy drive to all our activities on the north side, Hilo and Kona.

We have stayed at Halii Kai before but this was our first time in this particular condo. It was very clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The ocean view is spectacular. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets daily from both lanais. The rental management company was very communicative and easy to work with. David, the concierge, provided helpful information regarding dining and activities. We highly recommend this unit and would definitely stay here again.

Great condo and ocean view! Fantastic restaurant associated with the condo complex, reasonably priced, excellent service, and wonderful ocean views. Enjoyed playing pickle ball. Great location to other superb beaches, snorkeling, and food market. Check-in time that we were emailed was different than the actual, so we ended up checking in the next day. Seems was a covid change that wasn't updated in the email. Only meant that we couldn't access the restaurant the first evening. The management was super helpful in resolving an air conditioner issue--turns out sliding doors need to be sealed closed and temperature not set below 72oF, otherwise the AC won't work. Also a minor toilet issue fixed immediately. Definitely would return.
