The store is literally the next building over! The beach is maybe 2 blocks off. And this beach is perfect for toddlers. Mg 2 year old loved the ocean. The waves weren’t big so she would walk right in to me, and it was very sandy and lovely. Pool was great (bring ur own life jacket). Charles young beach is a couple min drive down the way for some waves and snorkeling for our 10 year old who did some boogie boarding. And go to the farmers market and get some bbq and food. The locals are very appreciative of your support.

Our trip to the Valley Isle could not have gone any smoother and the memories made could not have been any more beautiful! Having Hale Kai Uli as our home base during our trip was more than we could have hoped for. To begin with, the location was so close to the ocean it felt almost beachfront, and in the opposite direction we had the convenience of grocery stores, small restaurants, and local shops all within a short walk. I appreciated being a few minutes outside of the main "Kihei hub" (i.e. Kamaole Beaches area) which provided for a quieter and less busy neighbourhood. Having the luxury of a ground-level unit, allowed for easy access to and from the lush grounds. We ate breakfast nearly every morning on the lanai, and bbq'd on a couple evenings around the pool using the community outdoor kitchen. The amenities inside the unit were above & beyond what we were expecting; the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and accessories we needed for eating in & out of the unit (including a soft cooler, ice packs, and Tupperware for picnicking on our beach-day excursions). We made use of the beach accessories as well, which included beach chairs & umbrella, snorkels, masks & fins, boogie boards and other beach toys! The place itself was immaculate and both bedrooms were clean & comfortable. I really hope to return to Hale Kai Uli one day, and have been recommending the unit non-stop since our return. My husband and five-yr old son and I spent a week here and had an amazing time. The condo is in a wonderful location for a family trip -- just a few steps to a great beach, great coffee shop, grocery store, and a ton of restaurants, and an easy drive to almost everything else -- and the amenities were great. If you're considering Kihei and don't need to hear the ocean from your bedroom, you cannot beat this place. The owners were very communicative as well. The only thing I wish I had known were to check the closet before we went to the store, as there was lots of sun screen and shampoo from previous guests.

We loved our stay in the Kihei garden estates. Lush tropical vibes, lovely property with every amenity needed. We enjoyed the pool, the fresh mangos that fell from the trees, the gorgeous beach sunsets a 30 second walk away and the beach necessities that came with the condo were a big help! Perfect spot and place for our family of four and we cannot wait to visit again.

The hosts really pay attention to details and were incredibly responsive throughout our stay. We truly loved this little gem. The space was perfect for our family of 4! The location is spectacular…just a small walk to the beach, groceries, restaurants, parks…and lots and lots of sea turtles!! The condo beach is public but not congested at all. The turtles came up around 6:45 pm every night in droves. The kiddos never wanted to miss it. We definitely created some special memories here! Mahalo.

This was our second time staying at KGE but first time in this unit. It was perfect! Owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. The unit was really nice and clean! Loved that it had the twin beds for the kids. The AC and fans were appreciated. There was everything we needed in the unit. Grateful for all the plastic dishes and storage containers because we ate most meals at the pool area. Bonus points because there was a decent set of knives!!!!! Lots of chairs and beach toys that we took advantage of.
Location to the beach and overall island is fantastic. We hope to return some day and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for sharing it my family. 🐳

We all enjoyed our stay here! Easy access to the beach and downtown Kihei. Comfortable, clean, and cozy. The kids loved the pool as well. Everything we needed was available for use, even snorkelling gear! The change machine for quarters was really handy for doing laundry. Other visitors/tenants were respectful and quiet. This was a very safe place to have children which we were thankful for. Thank you!!

My husband, 15 month old daughter and I LOVED this unit! It was clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need, and so close to the beach! The grounds are gorgeous, we sat on the patio every night, and enjoyed the pool and cooking on the bbqs. The location is fantastic - a supermarket right behind you, the beach right across the street and a tiki bar that’s a 13 minute walk. The hosts communicate very well, the beds were comfy, and same with the couch. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

There are fancy beaches and resorts north and south of here to visit, but staying here made us feel like locals. We had a comfortable place to stay with everything we needed (including a well-stocked beach gear closet), our own beach, and so many great places to eat within walking distance. Mahalo!

From the moment we stepped into this condo we fell in love with the indoor and outdoor area. It was exactly as posted on the VRBO site and as previous reviews, very well stocked. We had everything we needed for beach and travel days. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning was a saving grace on our stay as the weather was nice and hot! This was our first trip to Maui and wanted to stay in Kihei per some conversations we had with family and friends. This property fit the bill to a tee. It was a bit away from the hustle and bustle of central Kihei but was just a few minutes drive when we wanted to some some more tourist activities. This was also a quick walk to the beach to do morning strolls and to check out the sunset. We have a family of four and fit us very comfortably.
The communication was impeccable and the check in process seamless. Thank you for making our time in Maui extraordinary. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful time here in Kihei. This is the second time for us stating in these condos but first time staying in this particular one. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The outside patio was awesome and the AC was very much appreciated and worked extremely well. The pool was great and the sunsets at the beach across the street were amazing. We definitely recommend!

Perfect for our family- we need 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. This condo was the perfect layout for us. Walking distance (very short) to an easy beach- we saw turtles on the shore most evenings. Well stocked for beach outings and greet jumping off point for all activities. Grocery, restaurants close by. There are no major resorts near by so there is a bit more of a local feel.

From the minute we walked into the condo we were in love, It was exactly like the pictures. Even though you can’t see the ocean from the lanai the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed sitting there in the morning, afternoon and evening. The neighbors are very friendly and we enjoyed conversing with them. We have 2 teenage girls and there was always plenty of hot water for all 4 of us. There are restaurants and grocery stores all in walking distance. If we go back to Maui we will most definitely try to stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay in Kihei. It’s very calm and walking distance to the beach. Everything you need is within a 3 mile radius. It is quite a drive from the busy areas of Maui, but that’s because the highways are usually just one lane. Regardless you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery that Maui has to offer!

We loved staying at this condo in Kihei. Very close to the beach, but note that while we were there for 5 days, the beach next to the condo got very windy from 1130-630 every day. Maybe it was the time of year we were there (mid July), or it’s like that all year. But we still enjoyed the beach in the morning, and at sunset. We even saw a turtle while we were snorkeling off shore!! Super convenient with walking distant to a major grocery store, and a 10min walk (2min drive) to a food truck lot with amazing food and picnic tables! The pool was nice and warm, but had A LOT of chlorine. Burned our kids eyes pretty bad after swimming in it. Googles fixed that for the next day! Air conditioner is in the living room, but they had fans in the bedrooms and a portable fan we put in the hallway to help direct the cold air into the rooms. They still stayed pretty warm but sleepable. Super comfy beds and a beautiful shower. Would totally stay here again.

Condo was in excellent condition. Property clean. Nicely stocked condo. The best part is the owners willingness to work with their clients. Due to uncertainty during Covid, we had to delay our original trip. The owners understood the situation. They allowed us to go past the 30 day cancellation policy, and get much closer to the arranged date- and allowed us still to reschedule without being penalized, when they did not have to do this! We appreciated this so much during this time of complete chaos!!! We will definitely return!!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. The pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of cooking supplies. There were plenty of beach accessories available in the closet (coolers, chairs, snorkel gear, etc.). The beach is really close and Kihei is centrally located making day trips to Haleakala or Hana easy. The owners were very responsive and made sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed working the jigsaw puzzles in the evening. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved this perfect place of paradise. Check in was easy, plenty of parking and the equipment needed for easy beach days was a great addition including a large and smaller cooler. The kitchen was complete and towels, and linens were very nice and I’m kind of picky about that type of thing:) The grounds lovely and we enjoyed sitting having coffee then dinner on the lanai each day. Easy walk to the beach for mornings and sunsets and a nice little surf break to surf. Easier than driving down the the larger break with more people. Simply a wonderful spot and we will be back. Thank you for the extra cleaning precaution during Covid and being so flexible when our dates came but due to Covid we couldn’t. And they allowed us to easily reschedule. We really couldn’t ask for easier people to work with. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

This space was in the perfect location to walk across the street and never miss a sunrise or sunset. We cooked most of our dinners and the courtyard grills came in handy as did the grocery store right next door. This area of Maui is also super central to most things with light traffic. This spot would actually be pretty perfect if you weren’t getting a rental car, it’s not far from the airport but right by the beach, restaurants, coffee, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall the condo was clean and as pictured. The biggest downside was that the bedrooms are right next to the parking lot for the property. If you are a light sleeper you may be woken up several times by vehicles coming and going at night.
Beach access is right across the street and very easy. You are within walking distance to several restaurants as well.

This was our first time to Maui and your property was perfectly located for us. We could walk to the beach and it was perfect water and sand for our 6 and 4 year old. We had to rebook this trip 3 times due to COVID and was it so worth it. Staci, has prepared a wonderful place that is super clean, in close proximity to wonderful eateries, and the beach is beautiful. Daily we watched whales surfacing, sea turtles both swimming or beached on shore early in the mornings. We could not have asked a better place to stay during our stay on Maui. Well definitely stay here again.

My wife and our 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this place. Very convenient to amenities like the grocery store and longs, and incredibly close to great food like Nutcharees, Coconuts, Nalu’s, Maui Pies and the shaved ice hut. Could walk to the beach in my bare feet. The unit itself was well stocked and very clean and and ideal unit with the balcony opening up to the grass courtyard for the kids to run around and gain easy access to the pool. Was pleasantly surprised with the people who owned in the complex as well as other renters. Everyone was so friendly and it was great to chat with others to find tips on food spots or which beaches to go see. This is not the Fairmont, but for overall value and for good non pretentious people, this was where you want to be. If I had to dig to find anything that wasn’t ideal I would say that there are a few shady characters that sleep on the beach and in the grocery store parking lot in their cars, but they don’t pay you any attention like in bigger cities so safety wasn’t an issue. I would recommend this particular unit to anyone wanting to visit Maui. One of our neighbours that we met there came into our unit to take all of our food that we would have had to throw away and commented on how much nicer this unit was than theirs. This is a great spot if you have kids.

I would highly recommend this fantastic condo in Kehei. There are so many great things about it:
1. The management was incredible: An easy check in process, great communication including super quick responses and an overall willingness to help with any of our needs.
2. Great location: This is the perfect location in Kehei. Walk to restaurants, the grocery store, coffee shops, and most important just a short walk to a great, quiet and calm beach. The location is perfect for trips around the island as well.
3. The Condo: The condo is exactly as shown with all of the comforts of home! The beds were excellent and there is air conditioning for when you need it. Everything you will need is there...….a well equipped kitchen, lots of stuff for the beach and pool etc. There isn't anything we needed other than our food.
If your looking for a great place to stay in Maui, this is the one. You won't be disappointed.

We found our home away from home in beautiful Maui at Hale Kai Uli. We’re a family of four (children ages 11 and 7). The location of this condo was ideal for all the sightseeing we had in store. We were also walking distance to a grocery store, delicious restaurants (I highly recommend Nutcharee’s Thai Food), a walking beach and Peace & Love shave ice. The condo was clean and supplied with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable: Dishes, basic spices, cookware (although there is only 1 baking dish), bath and beach towels, pool noodles, boogie boards, books, games and DVDs. The only thing we found missing was a TV in the master room. We like to unwind the day with a little TV before bed. But the kids’ room had one. We hooked up our Netflix account. The complex was well kept with a nice sized pool. I also liked the fact that no key was needed to get in and out of the condo. We only had to remember a 4-digit code. There was a laundry room around the corner which helped limit the amount of clothes we needed to pack! Our family loved this little place. The décor and furnishings made the condo feel so “beachy”. Although I loved the freshness of having white couches, chairs, bedding, it did make me feel extra cautious about where the kids would sit and hang out. The bedrooms didn’t have a/c but the fans did help a little with the heat in the middle of August. There was a/c in the living room which did a quick job of cooling the room down. The one bathroom was a good size and the shower was roomy. There was also plenty of parking which was great for the days where we wanted to be close (like needing to leave at 3:30 am to see the sunrise at Mt. Haleakala). I would definitely recommend this home and would love to return some day. I should also mention that the refund of our deposit was processed swiftly (like the very next day). That’s always a plus! We are a family of four and this condo on the beautiful island of Maui was perfect for us. We stayed for a couple of weeks at the beginning of July. The condo is in a great location with easy access to exploring the rest of the island. Our condo had everything we needed and then some as we cooked our own meals and packed a lunch for the beach and/or a day trip to go exploring. We ate on the lanai facing into the garden every evening and it's about a one minute walk to the beach to watch the sunset or see the turtles resting on shore in the late evening (but please give those turtles their space). Close to shopping and grocery stores with one right around the corner in case you run out of milk! We were close to the pool and BBQ area where we enjoyed meeting other guests at the complex. We would definately stay again!

We loved our stay in Maui! This condo is beautifully decorated, clean, & well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay amazing. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the beach, stores & restaurants. The condo has beach chairs, towels, sand toys, boogie boards, etc. It was also nice to have the electronic key pad on the door, so we never had to keep track of keys. The grounds & pool are well maintained, and everyone was so friendly.
