We had an amazing time. Our host was super gracious. We were in Maui during a tsunami warning, and he was in constant communication. It was very reassuring to have someone help us through what to do/where to go. We had wanted to explore a lot of Maui vs. spending a lot of time in one location/at one beach. We found the location in Kihei to be a perfect jumping off point for our adventures. The pool/common area was great, and the kids really enjoyed ending their evenings with a swim. We thought the condo was a great value for the location, and it really helped facilitate us having the vacation of our dreams.

The apartment is well located and very quiet. The bathroom and some other features are showing their age and could use some updating. What I absolutely don't like is that we have to apply sunscreen outdoors because otherwise the furniture will suffer. Otherwise, we're satisfied.

The stay it's self was very nice. Nice location close to the center of Kihei. The only thing is I think they could put new or better living room furniture in the rental, not comfortable at all. The TV is only a app TV. Maybe you could just put in basic cable, we didn't get to see the news for a week nor any live TV.

Beautiful complex with a sparkling clean pool. Host was responsive, prompt, and attentive. Appreciated having beach chairs, lots of towels, on-site laundry and a well-stocked kitchen. Lots of beaches and nice restaurants nearby. Great place for me, my wife, and our two kids. Our only gripe was that the air conditioning is not great. The living room is cool enough, but one room had an ineffective portable unit and the other (kids) room has no air-conditioning at all. As long as you don’t mind that, highly recommended.

A great place for all tastes.We stayed 2 weeks and invited our adult children to join us. The first week we had our enthusiastic go getters come. We went diving, hiking, snorkelling, just adventure after adventure.Our 2nd week two different adult children joined us after the first two left….they wanted a completely different trip! They wanted to relax, relax at the pool and beach and just enjoy the condo.All 4 “kids” had a perfect time…with completely different vacations and the condo was suited well for all.It was also completely outfitted for young children and babies. We had a lot of privacy and the air conditioning worked well for the 35 Celsius (90 fer) sunny weather. Parking was never an issue and it was very clean. The location was central, quick walk to a beautiful beach and many places to eat. Also easy drive to most locations. Most importantly for me there were no bugs, and I looked. We kept it clean but it was evident the owner took pride in taking care of it. The only negative I could try and come up with was the drains were slow….but really that’s not a negative. When we return to Maui, hopefully soon, this will be the first place we look.

We loved this quiet apartment tucked away a stones throw from beautiful Charley Young beach. Ground floor with a private little lanai and the beautiful pool a few steps away. Beach chairs and snorkels, sand toys and kids books! Easy communication with the owner. Our family will come back!

Our family rented this unit for two weeks, and had a great experience. The check-in process was simple. The unit was neat and tidy, and served our needs perfectly. The pool was practically private, hardly anyone else was using it, and we used it every day. The complex is in close proximity to Charley Young Beach, as well as Kalama Park, which we walked to often. As well, the beach chairs, toys and umbrella were in good condition, and we used them daily. The complex was quiet day and night, although there is some traffic early in the morning from the garbage truck (we slept with the windows open).
Michael was quick to respond whenever we had a question.
We would definitely go back, and have no hesitation recommending this to others.

Very much enjoyed our stay especially after we were able to pick up a car rental. First day was very difficult for us as the distance to pick up groceries is a fair walk. We thought by the maps it was a lot closer. Renting a vehicle gave us a lot more freedom. A must have to get around Kihei.
One suggestion though is maybe check the lock to get into the pool area. I got stuck in there & couldn’t get out for quite awhile. It is very tricky to lock & unlock.

We island hopped during our time in Hawaii, and were in Maui only a few days for a wedding. This condo was great for my family (we have a 6 and 3 year old). They thoroughly enjoyed the bunkbeds and toys and I appreciated having a separate room from them. The parking lot is nice and close to the condo, which I also appreciated since we didn't exactly travel light. Checking in and out was straightforward. Overall this was a good stay at a good price for my family.

We stayed at this property for 10 days and overall had a great stay. Location is great for beach access! Easy walk with toddlers to the beach and beach toys and boogie boards included. A little longer/too far of a walk to restaurants for us, we just have little kids that don’t enjoy walking that far and one was too big to fit in the double stroller that’s provided in the unit unfortunately. But the walk is definitely doable for older kids. Great location overall. We loved the pool, note though that it’s not heated. There are grills near the pool that are great. Shower too to rinse off sand.
Unit itself is a lot bigger than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Toaster wasn’t working and the owner sent a new one. Oven issue and the owner sent an air fryer. Super responsive and eager to help/make things right!
The couch is old and not super comfy. Needs replacement as does the chair in the living room. Mattresses also, in my opinion. I have back problems and just couldn’t get comfortable, but you will likely be fine if you don’t have back problems (my husband was fine). Air conditioning units were getting up there in age and a little loud but they worked well enough.
Nice big TV, games/puzzles/toys for kids a major plus.
A note on the sand comments in the unit: yes, it’s noticeable. We just swept a little bit every day and that helped a ton. We loved having the windows open and having that breeze come in, so with it!

This condo was a great fit for what we wanted -- convenient location in Kihei close to the beaches, well-stocked for beach fun, and economical price point. Michael was a wonderful host who checked on us regularly (we were there during the Maui fires). We really loved the beach items -- two chairs, boogie board, surf board, umbrella, and large and small coolers, plus other beach/pool toys. Made things very easy for us to enjoy our time with two kids who love the sand and surf. You'll need to be conservative with A/C usage, but that was not a problem for us and there is a good breeze with windows open too. Had no issues with the unit, and we enjoyed our stay. We had an amazing stay. The photos do not do the place justice. It is lighter than the photos. The condo can be cooled down if you follow the instructions. There were no issues. Laundry on site was easy. The king bed was comfortable, the twin beds were okay, but my toddlers were too young to care (it was me that cared ha). The condo had toys, books, a double stroller, booster seats, 4 beach chairs, coolers, some snorkeling equipment, etc. If you need life jackets/floaties, bring your own. We enjoyed the short walk to Charlie Young Beach. Overall we would stay here again. The pool and BBQ area were great. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and a few condiments left by former guests.

The flat had enough space. The living Room and kitchen was well equiped. The bed was terrible. The matress was dreadful and everytime me or my spouse moved, there was a squeezy noise and you can feel the bedspring, so neither I or him woke up.

Our family of 4 stayed at this fabulous condo May 2023, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to call home for our stay. This condo is exactly as advertised and met all of our expectations! You are just a short walk to our favourite beach (Charley Young), and many restaurants that feature good food and live entertainment each night. Kihei is a short drive from the airport (under 30 minutes), and is a central location to visit all of the amazing spots throughout Maui. Kihei itself enjoys some of the best weather on the island (less rain and calm surf), and the beach closest to the condo is where we saw the most turtles while snorkelling off of the beach. The Smart TV, AirCon, Dishwasher etc., all made for a relaxing time after a day of beaching. The unit is very quiet and being on the corner, you have a lot of privacy while enjoying the lanai. The pool is a great addition too! Overall, 2 thumbs up!

Mom and dad appreciated the ultra comfy king bed. We also loved the Weber grills on the pool area, which were incredibly clean.
The kids loved the bunk beds and spent many hours in the pool which seemed to be updated recently. It was very clean and well taken care of.
We would definitely stay here again on our next trip. Having 2 bedrooms was our main reason to rent this condo over others and we were very pleased with our choice.

This was our third stay in Kihei and we typically stay in one of the other condo buildings. This was our first stay at Kalama Terrace and we instantly fell in love with this condo. From first entering into the large living/ dining room area to the large bedrooms and the well equipped kitchen we were very satisfied with our stay. This unit also has quite a selection of toys that kept our kids entertained on the days that we had to keep out of the sun a little bit. The kitchen was well stocked with quality pots and pans, which is not always the case in rentals but was much appreciated. This building is also a little quieter than the building we stayed in previously, which worked well for our family.
The owner was very responsive and understanding. We had a couple small issues while we were staying there and he responded quickly and rectified the issues the best he could. We also had a few questions before our stay and he was quick to answer and is great to deal with.
Maui Dreams dive shop is located just north of the condo and was a great company for my wife to try out scuba diving. Charlie Young Beach is a short walk away and is always a great spot for using the boogie boards. Tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The local coffee and food is always amazing.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again on future trips to Maui without hesitation. Thank you Micheal for making our stay even better by letting us stay in your condo.

We were excited to visit Maui, Hawaii and I got engaged during our stay as well so Maui has a special place in my heart. As far as the stay, I can’t give a raving review as this is what our first impression of the place, we noticed the floor isn’t clean as it feels sticky/ greasy (I brought it up to the owner’s attention and he mentioned that they used Windex to clean the floor which is why it feels that way), we felt the Bathroom sink has a slow draining and the Towels do not smell like they’re clean (smells moldy). Also the Living room Ceiling fan light doesn’t work which the owner is aware of and it’s one of the things on his list of to do’s. Also the bedroom AC is extremely loud. Make sure to bring your own toiletries, would have came in handy if they have those available at the location. Overall, it’s an okay stay.

This apartment is very spacious, with two bedrooms and a large sitting room. It is within walking distance of two great beaches, the best being Charley Young. You can also walk into the 'town' area for shops and restaurants. The bed is super comfortable, the best we slept in during our 3-week stay in the Hawaiian Islands.
The downside is that the apartment is in need of some updating. There isn't a lot of natural light and the heavy red curtains don't help, at times it feels oppressive.
But don't let this put you off. It has the added bonus of a parking space very close to the entrance. And the apartment is on the ground floor, so no flights of stairs to carry bags up.

Well stocked with everything we need for all our meals, there was even a good assortment of kitchen staples such as salt, pepper, sugar, basic spices, cooking oil ect. The beach was a short walk away and the beach gear including beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys were awesome! We loved the pool at the condo, it was so close to the suite and generally very quiet. We had a great time at the Maui Family condo for a week with a family of four!
Everything we needed from a blender to make smoothies every morning, to coolers to bring to the beach, and plenty of towels were at the condo. The washer/ dryers were close, inexpensive, and clean. The condo cooled off well with a cross breeze from open windows and doors in the evening.
Micheal was quick to respond to an issue and it was taken care of timely.
We highly recommend staying at the Maui Family Condo on your next trip to Maui.

We stayed a week in September and this property hit all our needs. My daughter is 17 months and the crib, booster chair with built in table which strapped to a chair, beach toys, beach chairs, and cooler (we used the small one but they had a big one too) were everything we needed. The accommodations were functional and comfortable. We weren’t looking for anything super fancy and just needed a place to sleep and prepare meals.
There were two AC units which were both easy to work and kept the place cool if you followed instructions. One is located in the master bedroom and the other in the living room. The guest bedroom didn’t have its own AC unit but we found that the living room AC was strong and as long as you left the guest bedroom door open you’d be fine. Luckily my daughter was able to sleep with the door open and a bit of light shining in from the living room as she went to bed earlier than us.
The kitchen was fully stocked. Outside of the typical pots, plates, cups, it also had oil, salt/pepper, spices and more. I want to say there were even ziplock bags which we didn’t need to use. This was great as it saved us from having to buy when you only need a little bit. These items may have been leftover by previous renters but they sure were appreciated!
Parking was super easy (although finding it in the dark the first night we arrived was a bit tough, but we were able to find it pretty quickly after one of us got out and walked around). You get a dedicated spot in the parking lot and it’s not too far from the unit which is on the first floor. I was concerned at first about the unit being on the first floor and the baby sleeping in a room by herself but rest assured the guest bedroom did not have sliding doors and in order for someone to get in and snatch the baby they’d have to make a heck of a lot of noise and it would probably take quite some time at which point we’d already be up.
Finally, we didn’t see any cockroaches which is to be expected in a tropical climate. But we were also super meticulous about taking out our trash as I didn’t want to have any encounters with them!
Bottom line, this place was perfect for our kid friendly needs. Oh and the host, Michael, was super responsive to emails. Thanks Michael for a great stay!

We had a great stay at this condo. The condo was really well stocked with more than the basics, especially when it came to beach gear. The umbrella, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels were really useful for our daily beach trips. We were also really grateful that the condo had a large tv with netflix on it to chill after an exhausting day of activities. We had an issue with the kitchen sink that Michael was really prompt with fixing. He was really communicative over text and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great vacation. Michael’s condo was very comfortable for us. The kids like the bunk beds and Netflix. We like the comfortable king bed. We appreciated solid stainless pots and pans, nice plates and bowls, just real details like someone isn’t just using it as a rental.
I saw turtles and even a shark (who couldn’t have cared less about me) snorkeling right across the street at Charlie Young beach, and some great sunsets. In between the condo and Foodland is a nice walkable area of shops, bars, restaurants and food trucks that goes much further in than you’d notice just driving down the main drag. Foodland has great poke, and if you get in line around dinner you’ll see half the people are buying it.

I stayed at three different VRBO’s during my time in Kihei. This was my least favorite. If instructions on how to cool the condo are included, it’s a sign it is too hot. That is my biggest complaint. The other condos I chose were far superior.

We loved our stay in Kihei! Charlie Young Beach is a nice and quiet beach right down the street with a shower to spray off. The building was really quiet and the pool was so close I made it really convenient. Everything was clean and was perfect for my family!

Our condo was clean and as expected based on the description. The location is fantastic as it’s just a walk across the street to get to Charlie Young beach and Cove beach. There are toys for the pool, boogie boards, surfboard, etc., just plenty of recreational items. Generally speaking we felt really safe in this area.

Super great location. Nice walk to a family friendly beach. Condo had everything we needed. Downside is some road noise early in the mornings, but nothing we couldn’t deal with.

My wife and I and our 2 daughters, ages 13 and 16, spent 12 nights here. It was great having the 2 bedrooms with plenty of living space. Located centrally in Kihei and very close to a selection of great beaches as well as plenty of options for shopping and restaurants. The pool is also located close to the unit…a very short walk from the back patio.
Michael was great to deal with throughout the entire process and was available and quick to respond to all my questions.

Perfect location. Close to beaches and walking distance to some great food and shave ice. Condo was clean, quiet and cool. Plenty of kitchen appliances and accessories to make your own food if you don’t feel like eating out all the time! Would happily stay here again!

Great location to many beaches, restaurants, shopping. The condo was very comfortable and well stocked with extras for beach. Well supplied kitchen for those who prefer some home meals. The owner(s) are quick with response and communicate well. I wish I had planned to stay longer and would stay here again.

Everything was exactly as described, clean, and welcoming. The location was perfect with so many shops and restaurants nearby, and just a 15-20 minute drive to other areas of the island. Owner provided us with all the necessary information and was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
