This unit comes with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Hawaii, from soap to shampoo, to kitchen supplies, towels, beach towels, cooler, snorkelling gear, free postcards, and the list goes on. Daniel was a super host and very responsive by email. He even provided detailed snorkelling recommendations for us, since our turtle snorkelling tour got cancelled twice due to the waves and my wife is pregnant, so we couldn't sign up for certain tours. Daniel really cared about making sure we had the best experience even outside of the unit. This location is close to everything you need, including tonnes of beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, food trucks, etc. You could spend time by the pools or sit out on the balcony with the perfect view, if you didnt' want to go out. Everything is super safe here. The building pretty much has 24/7 security. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend Daniel and his unit to everybody!
The condo is wonderful, clean, close to the beach an close to restaurants. Couldn’t have asked for a better place!

This property was wonderful. Nicely updated with a ocean view. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cooking supplies. We also really liked the beach gear provided for use. Beach chairs, towels, snorkeling gear, umbrella, and a cooler. These items really came in handy. The condo was very clean and well organized. The owner, Daniel, was easily accessible and made sure to check in on us to ensure everything was to our liking. We will definitely be staying here again.
The apartment was exactly as advertised in the pictures! Check-in was seamless with clear instructions given prior. Daniel was very helpful in providing reminders and answers any questions very promptly. He managed to work with our check-in and check-out timings.
The balcony has a nice view of the beach/ocean! The apartment was really well stocked with all your water/beach needs (think snorkel gear of diff sizes, beach chairs, cooler and mats etc). All this alongside a fully functioning kitchen with lots of extra equipment (coffee maker, blender etc) and guide books.
The condo itself is located along a great stretch with lots of food & supermarkets within walking distance. More importantly, it's safe. We saw consistent night patrols, and everyone adheres to a communal understanding of peace after 10-11pm.

Our stay at Kihei Akahi D-211 for Christmas & New Years 2018/19 was amazing. Daniel was great at checking in on us via email to be sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation a delight. The unit is far enough from S. Kihei road that we didn't hear traffic besides the occasional horn honk yet close enough to pack up and walk down to the beach. It was very tidy and had everything we needed to prepare meals, go to the beach, or just relax on the lanai and watch the whales breaching with binoculars Daniel supplied. We have stayed at many different complexes in Maui and we typically see bugs in the unit however we did not see a single bug in Daniel's unit which was a huge plus! Until next time Mahalo - Gene
I chose this condo based on the reviews, photos and location but mainly for how the owners presented themselves. This was my island home for 14 nights and it was perfect for my intention of living as much like a local as possible. The kitchen was very well-equipped with a vast array of appliances, cookware, etc.; all you needed was the food. I prepared more meals here than I do at home. Although the condo is conveniently located for traveling to the usual tourist sights and activities, if you want to kick back and relax, this is the perfect place. The complex has two conveniently located pools with grilling areas in each. My unit overlooked the upper pool/grilling area and it was a very popular area. Kudos for the maintenance staff. I awoke early every morning and they were exuberantly and meticulously cleaning the grills, pool and the surrounding area. Daniel and Jenny are very proactive and concerned owners. There was open communication before and during my stay. Any issues you may have are addressed immediately. I realize that this condo is not only their island home but also a business venture. However, they are sincerely caring about their guests having a great time and will do what it takes to make it happen. I highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in Kihei.
We've been to Maui (Kihei) several times and always enjoy our time. Kihei Akahi is perfectly located, right across the street from Kam II Beach Park and a short walk to several decent food & drink establishments - and of course a coffee stand! We arrived late evening and the directions that the owners provided us directed us right to the property, the parking spot, and the unit without any confusion. Daniel was very attentive (but not too attentive) to make sure we found everything immaculate and to our liking. It is clear that they care about their home here and want their guests to have everything they need. Though we didn't use the pool much or the poolside BBQs, we saw the staff there each morning to scour everything down and get things prepared for the guests to enjoy. The grounds were very well maintained. We also enjoyed running from the property into Wailea and along the beach path there. Early mornings are the best as this is a very popular route!
Daniel pays close attention to the needs and wants of his guests and takes suggestions and feedback seriously. Of our 10 plus trips to Hawaii, Daniel has been the most accessible host we have had.
The condo is well appointed and maintained with almost everything you can think of to make your holiday fun and comfortable. Beach chairs and umbrella, snorkel gear, a well equipped kitchen and more.
Things like condiments are not required to be disposed of on checkout, so have a look at what is there before hitting the grocery store. Many of the day to day items you might need, including foil and plastic wrap may already be there, saving you more money for fun in paradise! And less waste in the landfill is a big bonus on an island!
