We are so impressed with this resort and condo! It is so comfortable and very quiet and low key! So nice to have ocean access right from the resort. Location is perfectly situated close to shopping and restaurants. Owner was very responsive. The bed was awesome and unit stocked very well! Grounds are well maintained and kept clean. Highly recommend staying here!! Hope we can come back some day!!

The condo is clean and easy. The kitchen is well equipped for eating in some nights, and the location is near stores and restaurants without being in the middle of things. The grounds are well maintained, with the pool, grills and putting green just off the lanai. The owner was available for any concerns and very helpful.

Pros: Family friendly, close to the pool, ground level, close to the ocean, BBQ, Excellent location: close to food trucks, ABC store and Korean BBQ. Bed was comfortable 1st night, washer and dryer, Ceiling fans, large dresser, adorable furnishings. Beach chairs, oven, A/C, Tiki torches at night, Koi ponds and BEAUTIFUL foliage. Amazing sunsets!! Plenty of lounge chairs.
Cons: Bed could be upgraded. Putting green out front wasn’t open. Pool doesn’t open until 9am and several days was only open to water aerobics in the morning. Poor shower water pressure.

Outstanding location (beach front, close to shop/restaurant), with well equipped facility and appliances in excellent working condition, and everything was super clean. Much superior to the 5 or 6 star hotels that I have stayed at Maui but only at a fraction of cost. Suitable for a short or long term stay. Due to its popularity - one needs to book early.

The property was beautiful I would stay there again more like 60 steps to the rock wall no beach but grassy area is a beautiful place to see sunsets

This property had everything we needed. Enjoyed the patio and having the food trucks nearby for a quick dinner. Steps to the ocean for a quick swim or snorkel. Waking up to beautiful songbirds in the morning.

We’ve been staying at Papakea for many years and a different unit with each visit. This unit is wonderful and is represented well by description. Communication with the property owner is by far one of the best. You won’t be disappointed.

My daughter and I spent five lovely days in Maui. We stayed at this condo which was exceptionally clean, well decorated, and steps from the beach and the pool. We had a fantastic time, saw lots of whales, swam with the turtles, ate good food, and are super duper sad to be back home where we now dream of when we can come back. This condo is a 10 out of 10 and both of us highly recommend staying here!

Loved the location and the condo. Ground floor is really nice, just a few steps to the ocean, pool, grills and koi pond. We'd stay here again for sure.

My husband and I enjoyed a week in this property very comfortably. The ground floor made it very convenient to walk a few step to the ocean, the pool, and hot tub. We sat on the patio every morning and evening. The bed was super comfy, and all other amenities were great. It is also walking distance to food trucks, and the grocery store. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Beautifully updated condo! Comfortable ground floor unit with a homey feel, easy access to pool and beach, air conditioning, and a wonderfully comfortable king size bed !!! Loved it !

Unfortunately we’ve had the worst experience staying here than any VRBO, overnight stay or hotel. Right from the get go our toilet would not flush we had to call twice for the toilet to be flushed even though only toilet paper was flushed down. The first time someone came to fix it, but after they left, it stopped working again. After we came back from a hike one morning there was sewage coming out of the shower drain draining onto the bathroom floor getting all over our stuff. We were not able to take a shower and we had to check out that morning. I called the owner to ask them if they could get someone to fix it so we could shower before we left for the airport but the owner said she wasn’t sure if she could get someone in time (no one came before we left), and that we needed to be out of there immediately still at the same checkout time. She recommended I use an outside shower by the pool when I asked her how I am supposed to shower. We paid for this place believing we would be able to use the bathroom, but after showing her pictures of the shower drain we still did not receive ANY discount or refund. She gave no sympathy or apology for the situation. We left for the airport with no shower, unable to wash our hands in the clogged up and sink and unable to use the toilet. There was NO reason we should not of received a discount or refund, but none came. I have never had to leave a bad review at a place, but this was warranted.
