Our condo is one of the most beautiful at the Kauhale Makai Resort (aka - Village by the Sea). Located on the third floor, unit 310, with fantastic ocean views from our private bedroom and living room lanais, the condo features a romantic Mahogany carved canopy bed with pillow top mattress, 2 remote control ceiling fans, 2 flat screen tvs, a gorgeous breadfruit quilt, custom artwork from local artists Kim Taylor Reese and Randy Jay Braun, a well appointed kitchen, coffee maker, cookware, wine glasses, toaster, blender - all the amenities you need for a great meal at home. As assortment of beach amenities are usually available as they are frequently left behind by previous guests (we do not inventory these items.)
Equipment for shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, and the putting green are available at the front office. And just outside our condo, there are beachside tennis courts.
Our building features a CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - this condo will stay as cool as you like it!
Our resort is OCEAN SIDE OF SOUTH KIHEI ROAD - we are OCEANFRONT. You don't have to cross a busy street to wiggle your toes in the warm Maui sand! Our beach is perfect for endless coastline walks, beautiful sunsets, collecting sea shells and watching the windsurfers! We are 5 minutes from the world class Kamaole I, II, and III beaches and 10 minutes from world renowned Wailea with it's upscale shopping, spas and golfing.
We have OCEANSIDE TENNIS COURTS by our property, shuffleboard, newly remodeled elevators, laundry facilities, a sparkling mosaic tiled pool area with a kiddie pool and Jacuzzi, putting green, sauna, shuffleboard, and volley ball court.

We stayed in the condo for 8 days in August, and it was the best experience! I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again after staying in this condo! Loved, loved, loved it!! The owner was such a pleasure to deal with, and the condo was just beautiful! It was nicely decorated, and you get the best ocean view from your lanai! Very clean, has everything you need in it (even coffee and spices!) A+ + + + + + + + Highly recommended!

Just wanted to say we had a wonderful time. The condo was great. We loved the location and we got very used to opening up the blinds every morning to that view!
My wife and I celebrated 20 yrs. staying at unit # 310 in May. The condo exceeded our expectations. First off, it was spotless. New bed, queen w/ 4 posts. Like sleeping on a cloud. Very well equipped kitchen, everything works fine. The only negative, the spices in the rack didn't like the humidity. Well lit double sink bathroom w/ plenty of mirror. Living room and bedroom each had a new tv. The view from both bedroom and living room was spectacular, provided you like the ocean, palms and mountains. The bamboo and wicker furnishings throughout the condo remind latitude. Lanai furniture included 2 wrought iron chairs and table and a wicker lounge chair. Ahh on the lanai with a kona, tasting the pacific breeze while being held spell bound by the west Maui mountains. The staff was friendly and the condo owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The laundry room was literally 7 steps away from the front door... across the walkway... no, you can't hear anything. The pool looked nice & clean and the bbq area was clean. Good central location.
We stayed # 310 at the Kauhale Makai in September. What a fabulous room! Everything was perfect! The condo is sparkling from top to bottom. It has 2 flat screen tv's , beautiful kitchen, great balcony. The bathroom has a huge double sink and the bed was a four poster bed with a pillow top mattress. The only drawback was that the room did not have a washer/dryer but each floor has a nice laundry room and the room for our floor is located directly outside #310.

'We had a wonderful time at your condo in Kihei! It was furnished beautifully in the island style. It's so well equipped with everything we could need. The balcony was one of our favorite hangouts as we started our days with Kona coffee and breakfast and enjoyed the breathtaking views (which included humpback whales at times) and at night we would enjoy cocktails and the sparkling lights across the water. Thank you for being such gracious hosts and sharing your little piece of paradise with us.'

Our stay at this condo in Kihei was very good. The location was an grest choice for visiting excellent beaches of the West. From the balcony, there's a beautiful view of the bay and mountains opposite from the 2 chairs on the deck. Inside there's a lot of space to stretch out with a large couch and chair in the living room. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing all meals. The bedroom has a bed with a great mattress. Double sinks in the bath with a great shower was everything we needed for cleaning up. Having beach equipment was also very nice.All in all it is a great place to home base while visiting Maui.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at this condo in August and we had a great time. Plenty of space for a couple, comfortable bed, and clean. The view of the water and mountain is lovely and so was the balcony. The condo complex was safe and within walking distance to a nice beach to walk on in the evenings. Kihei was a convenient location to explore much of Maui. Glad we stayed here!

We had a wonderful trip for our 20th wedding anniversary! The condo looks even better in person! We spent hours sitting in the comfy chairs on the lanai drinking coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable. This time of the year, we could see the sunrise and sunset from the lanai. It is a short walk over a grassy lawn to the beach. We were able to swim during the day and go on late afternoon walks. The pool area is excellent. We swam everyday! We also used the very nice grills for dinner one night. There are three beach chairs and two coolers for your convenience. We left a new beach umbrella! You can walk to Akamai Coffee which we highly recommend. Long’s Drugs has most things you may need. The Cinnamon Roll Place was so good! We stopped at Ululani’s twice for shave ice. Try the lavender lemonade flavor there! You won’t regret it! Kihei felt pretty local even though there are several condos for rent. We will be back!

We normally stay in Kaanapali, but enjoyed our stay here in Kihei, it so much closer to everything you want to see, like the road to Hana, winery, Haleakalā, etc. The parking is free! But you need to get a badge to put in the window, which you get from the other building. The unit has a K-cup coffee maker as well as the old school filter. Great unit for a couple I would say, 4 adults would be a little tight, but two extra kiddos should be fine. Has an issue with Vrbo not sending me any info, and two days before the trip I received info finally from the owner. There's a cooler and lawn chairs, and 3 towels, so bring your own if you are not washing, and the kitchen is well stocked, including spices for steaks, but no baking tray, but use a pan instead! We got chicken pot pies from the Maui pie shop down the street and needed to bake them. The beach is about 50-yards away, you walk over a grassy preserve and over dunes, and the sun sets from there, which you can see from the balcony as well. A/C only works when the patio door is closed, like a hotel, and there are a lot of notes posted throughout the condo that made me laugh, most of which are common sense issues, but I guess the owner had issues in the past. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend for a couple.

We loved this condo! It had well equipped kitchen, the furniture was comfortable and the lanai view was wonderful. I love how these condos are set up so that every lanai is private.
There is a very strong wind that blows for several hours in the afternoon so be careful when you open the front door. The washer and dryer are not in the condo but are right across the hall from the front of the condo. We had no complaints and really enjoyed our time here.

Stayed with family for 4 nights. It is a great location and condo was good. I wish the owner posts better photos on the listing. The listing doesn't do justice to the condo. Nice set of kitchen utensils, lots of towels, patio was the highlight. Parking was no issue and getting to beach was just few feet away. Great experience and recommend for others.

Great, however, as of our visit, Please ensure that you arrive at the office BEFORE they close so that they can easily direct you to the unit. It turns out the entrance to the unit goes between 2 units and is UNMARKED so that you feel like you are intruding into a units 'space'. ONCE we called security, since we had arrived after hours, we found it.

The condo is nice enough and accurately represented. Unfortunately, we had some problems during our stay:
- upon landing on Maui, I had messages waiting for me from the owner. She stated that the previous visitors had noticed a problem with the bathroom sinks being clogged. As they hadn’t gotten the problem resolved, the owner asked us not to use the sinks. This resulted in us walking across the condo to use the kitchen sink to wash our hands after using the bathroom… odd and inconvenient.
- on our second day (still no bathroom sinks), the toilet wouldn’t stop running water. Jiggle the handle- nothing; lift the tank lid to adjust the seal- nothing. We finally had to turn the water off to the toilet. I immediately contacted the owner, who reached out to plumbers… who couldn’t come until the next day. We got to manually flush the toilet until then. (Google it— you basically have to fill the bowl with enough water all at once to get it to empty. Turns out that 6 pots of water isn’t enough because they’re not filling the bowl fast enough.)
- finally the toilet was fixed, and I understand this was out of the owner’s control. What wasn’t out of their control, though, was the lack of extra toilet paper and lack of Kleenex. Luckily, an ABC Store is fairly close by. (I messaged the owner about the tp, and two days later still haven’t heard back.)
I guess I have high expectations of a condo rental: I expect working sinks and toilets (the plumbers said they had to replace every part in the tank), and enough toilet paper and Kleenex to make it a week. This condo is nice- it’s in a convenient location and the terrace looks out at the water. Idk if I’d stay here again, though.

We enjoyed 6 nights in Kihei. It was a great location for access to the airport and all of the destinations on Maui. The condo overlooks the water, a large lawn and part of the parking lot. So nice to have this access to the beach! We were able to sleep with the Living Room and Patio doors open, also very nice. The pool was pleasant, depending on how many other guests were also at the pool. We truly looked forward to our time on the balcony, but were frustrated with the oversized furniture and broken bedroom screen door. The host is very responsive.
