This was one of the best homes we have stayed. Our hosts were very responsive to all of our needs. We enjoyed the roominess, modern appliances, and cleanliness of this spectacular 2 bedroom unit. The condo was just as advertised and described. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle but yet close enough to access everything we needed. We appreciated all the beach equipment and cooler. The evening sunsets were perfection and we enjoyed seeing the 4th of July fireworks from the condo.

The house had everything the website said it would and actually had nice pot, pans and other kitchen stuff. Usually that stuff is like cast offs from their “real” home, but I enjoyed cooking at this rental. My husband enjoyed the grill and our young adult kids enjoyed the dishwasher lol. The beds were fine and it was nice to have living room furniture that’s not wicker in an island setting for once. The location was great for all we had planned (night manta ray snorkeling was amazing). There were lots of great suggestions in the binders provided and the beach closet full of hats, umbrellas, random flippers and such came in handy a few times. The pool/hot tub was a 2 min walk and was never crowded while we were there. We would recommend this place to friends or family. My husband and I stayed for 7 nights for a last-minute getaway. It's always nerve-wracking to choose places on short notice. Denise was very responsive in answering our questions before and throughout the stay. Everything was as described, and there were no unexpected surprises. We didn't need all of the space with just the two of us, but we were delighted to have it for the week. While we spent much of our time exploring the island, we also enjoyed slow mornings and evenings sitting on the lanais, reading and simply enjoying the surrounding beauty. We will miss the cheerful, curious little geckos that would appear from time-to-time. The home is located very conveniently and with gorgeous views and was outside of the crowded downtown area. It was very well stocked with cookware and outdoor items. The "beach/outdoor," shared closet has many items for island adventures, such as beach chairs/towels, snorkeling gear, and an insulated lunch bag. Be sure to check the host-provided list before packing. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and host. The only downside, truly, was that our time had to end.

Nicely equipped condo for a week on the Big Island. Loved the sunset views from the lanai off the master bedroom. We utilized the snorkeling gear and beach chairs on most days, and the nearby shopping complex made groceries easy.

The condo's location was great for exploring the island. The condo was roomy, comfortable, and fully equipped. We were pleased with the great condition of the kitchen appliance, cookware, etc. (this isn't the case in many other condos which we have stayed in)
We were also pleased so many items in what we called "the beach closet"....towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, sun hats, etc. It was so nice to "not" have to purchase those items to use.
The owners were great communicators. They gave us ideas of where to go & what to see. (via emails & binders/books in their condo) Regarding condo/facility use: We knew exactly what was expected of us, and their instructions were easy to follow.
The pool/hot tub for the gated community was always well-kept.

What we appreciated most about this property was that we literally just had to show up. After 16 hours of flights, the last thing we wanted to do was make a "quick stop" to get essentials, and Denise made sure that wasn't necessary. Literally everything we needed was there.
This property was a perfect location for us as it was just outside the craziness of historic Kona, but close enough to get there easily if we wanted. Also a very short walk to grocery, drug store, and my new favorite coffee shop, Clover and Mug!
The complex and unit were quiet and peaceful with amazing views from the balcony. The unit was also a very short walk to the pool.

A friend from high school and I spent a week in your incredibly well appointed condo. Check in was super easy. Easy to get to, clean, well-stocked, and host was extremely responsive and helpful. This trip was mainly a dive trip and I met my adult son for several days of diving for a Mother’s Day trip. We enjoyed the lanai/patio during both our morning coffee and dinners. We could see and hear the ocean waves and the grounds were well maintained, and full of fragrant flowers, trees, and bushes. The condo was extremely spacious and had many amenities!
We would not hesitate to return to Kona or rent this property. It was easily accessible and close to a variety of activities without feeling we were in the middle of the busy traffic of the center of town.
Very close to both a grocery, many dining spots and a few farmer/art markets as well!

This townhouse is awesome and had everything we needed with easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. The owners were great and very responsive. The view of the ocean and sunsets was an added bonus, and it was fun to watch the birds from the patio at breakfast. Beautiful!

I love the gated community… although it is Hawaii(safe). It was nice allowing my daughter to walk to the pool by herself. Sadly it was only open one out of the eight days. You might want to confirm that b4 booking because the “older ones” we’re relying on the pool.
It was easy access to the beach, even though we had to walk a little bit farther than we should have because of the Park being closed. It was just a ten minute walk to what felt like a private beach in the morning and amazing snorkeling. The place is super conveniently located. Perfect size, comfortable beds, the air conditioning worked perfectly. Everything was just perfect. It was like our home away from home. Can’t wait to return. I mean literally, I am looking at booking flights now. Mahalo

The home was well equipped, very roomy and comfortable, with enough space for everybody to enjoy privacy on both floors if needed with spacious common areas for comfortable time together. Also, a lot of privacy between the two rooms. Comfortable beds. We ended up with the teens in the master bedroom and they were happy. Fantastic views of the sunset from the lanai in that room too! Safe, gated community. Pool was clean and inviting. Walking distance from Kahaluʻu beach and short driving distance from some of the best snorkeling spots on the island, which mattered to us! The owners were very responsive and accommodating. They put together a very helpful binder chock-full of information about local and island-wide recommendations. Travel books were also available for both the house and (thoughtfully) the beach. More than enough beach/bodyboard/snorkeling gear for the whole family. All in all, a very pleasant stay and we recommend heartily as a perfect base to visit the Kona coast or the whole Big Island. Mahalo Denise!

This was our first time to the Big Island and we'll be back. Denise was very easy to communicate with and was a joy to work with. The unit and the development exceeded our expectations. The unit was big, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds were exceptionally clean and the pool/hot tub/gym was used daily.
The location was also excellent. Close enough to town but just far enough away. It was easy access to places in both directions. All recommended restaurants, beaches, etc., were spot-on.
We will be back to the island and we'll definitely look to stay here again. We really can't think of anything we could improve on by staying somewhere else.

I was already for the third time in this house. As usual everything is perfect. Everything you need is there. You can also find everything for a day at the beach. The entire residential complex is in very good condition, as I know it from 2018. I also really like that the owners are still the same. Denise always replies very quickly. I will definitely stay here again on my next Hawaii vacation.

The pictures do not even do justice on how beautiful this condo is. Gated community, quiet, spacious and has great ocean view. The kitchen is well equipped. Beach chairs and gears available for use. The rooms are spacious and a pull out sofa downstairs in the living room.
The communication with Denise, one of the owners was great! She answered my questions promptly. She was always so helpful when I needed some suggestions.
There were so many great memories of our adventures on the big island! We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!

Everything about the home lived up to the reviews and description. Centrally located to the western side of Hawaii Island, away from the crowds and bustle of the Kona “strip”. Located very convenient to A KTA supermarket. Very easy access north or south and to the Kona Coffee row.
The home was comfortable, clean, and easy to access. Everything worked as needed and trouble free. Being the end of summer the AC was definitely a plus. We would definitely consider the home again on a future visit.

It's been 16 years since my husband and I last visited the Big Island, and we were excited to return and introduce our children to the amazing island. Although much has changed in the intervening years, the feeling of aloha and ohana has not. Denise was a wonderful and attentive host, checking in often to make sure we arrived and settled in the condo smoothly.
The condo was comfortable, spotless and well appointed with supplies like sunscreen, bug spray and beach supplies to make our stay easier (we left a few of our own as a "Pay It Forward"). In previous visits, we usually stayed further up the coast, near the Kohala resorts, but really loved the location of this property. It was the perfect jumping off point to explore the entire island, especially nearby Captain Cooks and Two Steps at the Place of Refuge. Located near town for dining and supplies (don't miss Gecko Girls for shave ice!!), the highlight has to be the exceptional snorkeling at Kahaluu Bay, just a quick 4 minute drive away from the condo. At the end of each day, we were exhausted from our adventures and loved coming "home" to relax and enjoy a home cooked meal and a spirited game of Scrabble or Yahtzee (all the better for going "screen free"). Thank you so much, Denise! We hope to return again!

The view and location were beautiful. Short drive to a great snorkeling beach, the grocery store and restaurants. Home was well kept, clean and had everything you could possibly need. The view from the patios was gorgeous and we enjoyed many sunsets. The pool was lovely and the kids really enjoyed it. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we hope to return some day.

We enjoyed staying here! Denise was helpful and responsive and made sure that we were taken care of. The pool was wonderful. We had an issue getting into the main gate when we first got there. But it was a miscommunication and we were able to speak to Denise the next day and she took care of it. Luckily we were able to still get into the townhouse. There were a lot of ants and bugs in the townhome. Not sure if this is typical for Hawaii, but there were ant bait traps that did not seem to be working. The extra amenities were great! We appreciated the beach chairs, towels and gear that were available for use! I would recommend this townhome to friends and family! Felt like a home away from home,

Having traveled to all 50 states and 7 countries, I can honestly say that Kahaluu Bay/Na Hale O Keauhou provided one of the best lodging experiences my wife and I have ever had. Denise is an excellent host. She is incredibly responsive, always getting back to us within minutes to answer the many questions we had about the rental. Due to a rare medical condition, we had a special situation and unusual request. Denise, Dave and the other owners bent over backwards to accommodate us.
The unit itself was perfect for our family of four. It is very keiki (kid) friendly. All of the finishes, appliances, and furniture were top notch. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked flawlessly. The washer and dryer were great to have on hand during our week+ long stay. The central A/C was a very nice feature and helped to keep us cool on many very warm Hawaiian evenings. The lanais, both upper and lower, provided the perfect vantage point to watch the sun set into the pacific each evening. Our kids loved the friendly geckos who came to visit us during outside meals.
The hosts have thought of everything, from snorkel gear to boogie boards to current island information. We truly appreciated all of the small things that they provided. It made all the difference.
The complex is awesome as well. The pool, hot tub and gym facilities were top notch and just a short walk from the unit. The grounds themselves are also very well-kept and contain amazing Hawaiian vegetation.
I cannot say enough about our experience with Denise and the unit itself. We were 100% satisfied and plan to stay here again when we visit the Big Island again in the future.

This home truly lives up to all of the high ratings. The nicest VRBO or any home rental I have stayed at. The owners have thought of just about anything you would need for your stay. As others have mentioned: snorkel gear, beach towels, all bath amenities, full kitchen with all you need to cook almost anything you can think of with ease. Lovely home that is in a clean and safe gated area. Nicely redone pool and hot tub area as well. Nice views from both Lanais. Owners were very responsive. While we were there the community water was shut off for the day while the work was being done on the property and the owners immediately compensated us for the inconvenience. I would recommend this home for any of my family and friends going to the big island,; you won't be disappointed with this one.

So glad we chose to stay here for our time on the Big Island! It made our trip all the more comfortable, relaxing, and fun! It was perfect for the 4 of us - spacious enough where some of us could get work done and some of us could hang out/lounge without disruptions. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! Loved the patio space where we ate breakfast every morning and watched the sunset in the evening! Plenty of clean towels and linens and easy to use washer/dryer. Also can’t forget the the closet supply of water sports gear that we thoroughly enjoyed!

This is a wonderful property—the location is wonderful, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the condo is fully equipped with everything you need and the hospitable communication with the host made us feel right at home.
We got out on adventures everyday and also loved using the pool and gym facility. The beaches are in walking distance, as is the sweet shopping complex just up the hill.
Our family is fully recharged and couldn’t be more thankful! ❤️

This unit is in a really nice condo complex about .7 miles from the best snorkeling beach on the Islands. Location was great, beds were comfortable, and they had all this extra water stuff- chairs, blankets, even snorkel masks. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We loved our 10 day stay! Such a great place, very kid friendly! A pack n play, high chair and baby gate made our vacation so much easier with our 14 month old. Both of our boys loved the pool and appreciated the beach toys. We spent most nights cooking at home and made use of the grill but the guide book also helped guide us to great breakfast/lunch spots! We would stay here again in a heartbeat ❤️

We had a lovely stay at this condo. All the comforts of home. Our 10 year old nephew loved the place saying it felt like home to him. Beach towels, snorkel gear that was of good quality, everything we needed was there, including a coffee grinder, a must to have the freshest tasting Kona or Kau coffee. The view was lovely, the parking was very close to the unit. The AC which we paid extra for worked great everywhere but the 2nd bedroom, it was warmer in there than the rest of the unit probably because of its location above the garage, the master was wonderfully cool though.
A new TV remote in the living room may be in order, the bottom part of the remote wasn't working, which controlled volume and channels up/down. The numbers part worked so we just changed channels that way and set the volume on the TV itself, not a big deal. WIFI worked well. The new washer/dryer were installed just before we arrived and worked great! This is answer complex compared to the rest of this area and it shows. Complex was secure and well maintained. Nice pool and hut tub with a distant view of the ocean. Very close to the shopping center for groceries, post office, etc. Easy access from main roads. Close to the Sheraton for sunset drinks, manta ray viewing at night. Easy access to the Keauhou boat ramps for snorkel cruises, kayak trips, etc. Highly recommend this place!

This is a wonderful unit in the Na Hale Keauhou complex. It is spacious, clean and filled with many amenities that you will not find elsewhere. The unit itself is relaxing, peaceful and located perfectly in the complex. The owners have made sure that you are well taken care of. There is a barbeque grill on the lanai, the kitchen is fully stocked and the unit feels right at home. Don't worry about heading out to the beach without the right provisions. The owners have made available an assortment of beach chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, snorkeling gear to use. The owners have taken great care to meet every need of their guests. It is very obvious that they want you to have the best vacation possible. Their correspondence leading up to the stay was great and they provided an informational list about the unit and complex that alleviated any worry before our stay. They are very accommodating and very responsive. I would highly recommend this unit for a beautiful and comprehensive stay in Kailua-Kona. Thank you Denise and Dave for a wonderful vacation!

Having never rented via VRBO before, we were hesitant. This place, considering the price and location, sounded too good to be true -- since I spent days looking at other VRBOs.
We could not believe how relaxing and wonderful our vacation was due to our decision to rent this place ( rather than one of the big names condos etc.. which we were considering ).
Nahale condo complex was clean, comfortable, wonderful view, quiet and the facilities beat most 'resort'. It's not a partying place if you're looking for that, but for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers, it was perfect. The condo complex was within easy, easy, enjoyable walk to Keahou Shopping Center with grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants etc.. (and a wonderful farmer's market on Saturday).
Best of all, it's within walking distance (though husband drove then complained about parking) to the turtle beach with snorkeling, which we did almost every day. The pool and spa is great if you have little ones who aren't up to swimming in the ocean.
The unit! It's even better than was described. The owners have gone above and beyond in providing us all that we needed for a relaxing Hawaii vacation.
Besides the binder full of tips for your stay/activities on the island, the place really was like a comfy home away from home. There are beach towels, snorkel gears (for 4), sand toys, boogie boards, cooler and even 'beach' bags. (Saved us money not renting equipments).
The kitchen was a joy to cook in. All the comforts of home (even some spices and condiments) and they even included plastic plates etc.. for the little ones. We shopped at the local KTA at the Keahou Shopping Center and also drove to Costco and supplied ourselves for the week (equivalent to the price of 2 meals out for a family of 5 'adult' eaters). We grilled on the lanai and watched the sunset! Heaven!
The bedrooms and bathrooms were big, comfortable, and so relaxing! Plenty of closet spaces so didn't have to have suitcases on the floor etc.. The master bedroom has a to-die for view of the ocean at sunset.
There were books and board games, along with TVs etc... which we didn't use but had our kids been younger, we would have to keep them occupied and happy.
Our one complaint, truly, about the place was the fancy garbage can which was too slow to open. ;) I kid you not. That's the only complaint our whole family could think of about the whole place.
If we ever come back to Kona, this is our place!!!

Super nice vacation home, very well maintain, better than expected, closed to main attractions (Beaches, Kona restaurants, Airport, supermarket). The patio area is perfect for chill out and doing bbq. You feel secure because is a gated complex. The kitchen is very nice also, granite counter tops, all the supplies are very good, you will feel at home, very nice decorated and confortable house
You just bring your clothes and camera, Denise really wants, you enjoy your holidays!!!! we can't wait to back with the kids.

Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! The condo was in such a peaceful setting, very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the binder you have prepared for your guests, highlighting places to eat and the best beaches to go to etc.
It was so convenient having the shopping center just up the hill. We had to eat our first breakfast out and Sam Choy's was an awesome find. The trolly also leaves from there, which gave us access to downtown Kona and all the stops in between.
When we had a problem with the fridge, you were available for help right away and met our needs as soon as possible. We truly appreciated that.

Na Hale O Keauhou was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay (two adults & three kids - ages: 17, 15 & 10)...plenty of room to spread out, completely stocked with everything we needed to feel at home and comfortable for our two week stay on the Big Island. It was clean, perfect location, centrally located to many local attractions - 10 minutes by car to downtown Kona, 5 minute walk to great snorkeling beach and in the opposite direction a small strip plaza with Longs, a grocery store and a fabulous Thai Restaurant. The pool and exercise facility were wonderful. Highly recommend staying here!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The place is beautifully furnished and well kept. I was surprised at how spacious the home is...it is much bigger than the photos make it appear to be. Very close walking distance to the complex pool and nearby shopping center. It is also in a great location, away from the busy part of Alii Drive but close enough for a short drive.
The owners were extremely accommodating and they are thoughtful to leave beach towels, sand toys for kids, a cooler as well as a well equipped kitchen.

The condo was found to be very spacious and clean. The kitchen was equipped very well for 'in-house' dining. The outdoor breakfasts and dinners on the lanai were very enjoyable. A good variety of amenities within easy walking distance. A lot to see and do on the Big Island if one is not adverse to jumping in a vehicle and driving. We'd rebook the condo without hesitation if we were returning to the Big Island for a vacation.

We have stayed on the Big Island annually for the last 12 years and this has been our favourite accommodation to date. We had 3 weeks in the condo and everything we could have needed was there. A fully equipped kitchen with sharp knives, lots of pots, pans, utensils etc was welcomed, as was the beach equipment in the under stair cupboard - which we also added to. We also loved the 3 TVs with cable. It was great just to sit or lie back and relax watching TV after a full day at the beach. It was great to have dinner out on the lanai and watch the sunset. We were a bit worried that we didn't take the air conditioning option at time of booking, but this house is so cool with the ceiling fans and gets ample fresh air, it was definitely not required (we were there in October). The communal gym is fantastic. I enjoyed many mornings and evenings having a work out and it never had more than a couple of people in there. The pool complex is superb and a great place to relax and cool off.
We will definitely head back to the Big Island and will definitely stay in this condo again. The owners have really thought of every detail to make everyone's stay a fantastic one ... the fresh flowers on arrival were such a great touch and much appreciated!
