Great rental with beautiful views. Great location! We did have an issue with the internet connection on the tv in the living room on the last night of our stay. But it didn't really matter because the other tv in the bedroom worked. Definitely recommend this place. When we visit Maui again, we would love to stay here again!!

Great location …condo had a very nice Ocean Front view from both the bedroom and living room. WiFi and TV work extremely well. Kitchen was extremely clean. Overall , we enjoyed our trip along with a beautiful condo stay !

This property is very cute with great decor inside. The views are amazing with easy access to the beach.
There’s been some upgrades which are nice; however, it needs a little bit more TLC like a new bed, a new couch, a new chair, a new area rug, and some nicer seats out on the lanai. The closets were stuffed full of cleaning equipment, ladders, brooms and beach toys! This needs to be stored somewhere else you so you have room for your clothes.
It was a pleasant surprise to see beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella; however, the umbrella was not in great condition so as a thank you, we bought a new umbrella that future guests can enjoy.
Hopefully, these suggestions will be put into place as we’d love to stay again for a month right here but have been looking at other units that are more updated.

The property was very nice, clean and great location. The unit we rented was nice but dated. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit on. The mattress in the bedroom was moderate. Kitchen and dining area was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Would rent there again but probably a different unit unless they upgrated their furnishings

While our 3 week stay at this property was generally comfortable, we found that the suite needs attention. The overall condition of the suite is best described as “tired”. Some upgrades appear to have been completed in the past, but cabinets look to be original, appliances are newer, but low quality (no ice maker), bathtub did not drain properly, one towel bar fell off the wall, coax cable for bedroom TV runs along the floor in front of the lanai door, presenting a tripping hazard, towels were clean, but bleach stained, bed quilt was old, etc.
The overall property is nice and well maintained, with the exception of the common area barbecues. There are five barbecues. One was out of service and of the remaining four, only one worked well - very frustrating for often used appliances.

The property matched the description in the listing. The reclining bed in the living room has a dent in the middle that made it difficult to be used. Cannot count in rhe recliner for adults or young adults as an extra bed.

We had a great stay in this unit, AC was functioning well, we had almost everything that we needed, from pots and pans and silverware, blender etc. It was late for us to discover that there waams a rice cooker hiding at the very bottom of the pantry. Everything, from shops to restaurants are less than or just a 2 minute drive.
It is good for a family of four, more than that, it will Be crampy. There are board games and beach toys and chairs in the closet. The internet is working very well. The location is safe and the beach is a minute walk away. The unit is generally clean, my only complain is the vent in the toilet/shower room, it seems that whoever is cleaning this neglect to dust it off. There is quite an accumulation of dust on the vent. Aside from that, if ever we go back to maui, we will stay in this place again.

The location was great but the unit was not well cleaned. There was a lot of dust on the surfaces, vents and corners. The rug in the living room should be thrown out. It did not look like it had been cleaned ever. The patio screen door was not sturdy. This unit could stand to have a better cleaner and a few upgrades.
We left a day early because the bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. Leaving our vacation a day early in paradise due to the rental speaks volumes. Not good ones.

The room was comfortable and clean. There is an amazing view from the patio. There a few essentials prestocked and some beach supplies. I recommend checking all the closets/cabinets for those goodies prior to hitting the grocery store. The bed was firm but I slept well every night. It's a quiet complex that adheres to quiet hours. Parking was a breeze. You can't beat the location. It was easy to get to all the maui roads by car, just footsteps from the beach, and about a mile down the road from all the restaurants/kihei shopping. I would definitely rent here again!

This is a very nice 1bdr ocean front room. Plenty of space for 2 people, and a very nice Lanai. The Plumeria building is quiet and the 3rd floor is a perfect height for views, stairs, and people watching. The condo is dated which gave it its Hawaiian charm. I loved it!

Loved the location! Views were amazing property was very well taken care of as the condo was as well. We honestly didn’t spend that much time there because we had a car and traveled most of the coastline in Maui. We had breakfast on the balcony AMAZING! And enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing evenings in the room. Short walk to the beach. We have already talked about our next trip and want to stay in this exact place #330!!!! Didn’t want to leave!!!!!!!!

Beautiful view from the condo, nicely put together. We love staying at Kauhale Makai.
The only suggestion I would have would be to stock the pantry just a tad. We didn't have any salt or pepper which are pretty basic items. There also wasn't any plastic wrap or tin foil for leftovers, so be prepared to buy all of that.

The location is very nice. The unit (330) is nice but needs a bit of upgrades. Paint is chipped in several places, the entry mat needs replacement, there were only 2 tea spoons and there were at least 3 different patterns on the silverware. Some of the sliding doors to the patio and closets were hard to move.
The view of ocean, pool and mountain was great. The unit was well equipped with snorkeling equipment and other water toys as well as beach chairs.
It is a good unit, just needs a little attention to maintenance.

I loved that this condo has A/C!! We were respectful and turned it off when we left for the day, but it was so nice to have it available for cooling off after a long day in the sun! We also really loved having the BBQ common area for preparing meals!

Location was great. Awesome view. We really appreciated the beach chairs and towels. The condo was generally clean, though a few things need attention--under the bed, curtains, bedskirt, were quite dirty and the keypad/ door looked very grimy on the outside. The condo had some updates--paint, countertops, sink, and appliances but could use some more refreshing. Cabinets were tired and not all doors close, perhaps some upgraded bedding. Overall, it worked for our needs and we were comfortable.

I loved that the bedroom also had a sliding glass door to the porch also and AC in all areas. The only thing is that the floors were very dirty, the bottoms of our feet were black so we had to wear sandals inside. They were re-doing the landscaping but I'm sure it will look nice when it's done. The pull-out bed in the living room was not very comfortable, but luckily only my 3 year old was sleeping on it. Pool was chilly but nice to have a hot tub.

This is a great condo in North Kihei with a view of the ocean from the lanai. Everything was extremely clean, the apartment has everything you need for the beach (towels, chairs, beach, cooler), and the kitchen is well equipped. We found everything to be comfortable. The only drawback is we would have preferred darker curtains in the bedroom.The unit overlooks the pool and hot tub, and is a short walk across a lawn to the ocean. The beach is a little rocky but perfectly OK for a quick dip and for watching the sunset. I would definitely rent this unit again.

This was my third stay at Kauhale Makai and will continue returning! The building is designed so that every unit has a view of the ocean and some units view either Haleakala or West Maui mountain. Kihei is conveniently located to access groceries, shopping, or other cities on the island.
Unit #330 is beautifully upgraded, clean, and I had everything I needed - helpful information prior to arrival, correct door & pool codes, directions, a/c, beach towels, storage, laundry, kitchen wares, boogie boards for the littles, consumables for a 2 week stay.
My family members stayed in other units and we all had different experiences. Thanks for providing a restful and easy vacation!

The view was wonderful. Ocean outside your two patio doors. The hot tub and pool/ BBQ area were well maintained and beautiful. even if it was windy the area was secluded with trees. And it was nice to talk to others in the condo complex. The condo was walking distance to shops, restaurants and grocery stores.
