We would definitely book here again! Amazing views/access to beach. Beach chairs/towels/coolers/boogie boards provided. Full size washer and dryer available for use in unit. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Comfy bed and furniture. Everything was great! Mahalo

We enjoyed our stay so much in this awesome ground level condo facing the ocean. Just steps from the Castaway Restaurant, the warm heated pool with two jacuzzis, and steps from clear water to swim in the ocean. Parking was very convenient and we always had a space less than 30' away. We really enjoyed the express setting on the washer which gave us a 15 minute wash cycle and the lovely decor in the one bedroom condo with spacious kitchen and master bath. It took us a while to realize there were latches at eye level to open the sliding doors to the patio as we were looking down at some other latches. But once we looked at eye level, there were the latches. We loved staying here.

A nicely-appointed ground floor condo with two patios which directly face the ocean. A small grassy area in front of the patios has many lawn chairs to use to enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean. Access to the beach is just a few steps beyond. The beach itself is perfect for wading and swimming. A few hundred yards north up the beach are some great spots for snorkeling. This is a really special area of Maui

What a beautiful unit! Great location just steps to the beach. We ate breakfast every day on the lanai overlooking the ocean. The unit is beautifully appointed with an outstanding kitchen that has every tool a chef could want. The decor is lovely and the bed very comfortable. The owner is a pleasure to deal with if any issues arise. The only two suggestions are for more reading light in the living room and Wi-Fi improvement. The Wi-Fi was very temperamental during our stay, but we were able to piggyback on another unit’s Wi-Fi.

Do you like repairs? Endless texts? If so, this "meh" unit is for you! Arrived in a construction zone with grinding, pounding and painting on walls directly outside. Toilet, dishwasher and garbage disposal all broken (right up til we left). Owner actually scolded us for not scheduling more outings for her multiple maintenance calls. She even wanted workers in the condo with us the day of our 50th anniversary, so romantic! Finally she offered us a more expensive unit for our final 3 nights, knowing fully we would not inconvenience ourselves with $500 in additional expense along with a move at the end. Bedroom very inconvenient- huge locked closets for the owner's belongings. Guests get 4 drawers in bathroom and hang-up space in bathroom utility closet. Disappointing experience made more unpleasant by how we were treated by the owner. She tried to blame-shift by saying "you are difficult" and that our schedule was the reason for broken stuff. Unit simply not ready for guests at all! Maintenance people were there twice, nothing fixed, then she stated the building had electrical issues. Maui-- 1,000%! But try to find a different condo without such a bad, unwelcoming vibe! ( Dealing with the owner was probably as much fun as a root canal or insurance litigation.)

To start with the good: this condo is in a great beachfront location with easy access to a wonderful beach. The place appeared to be clean and well maintained. But starting on the first night, a rat or rats started eating our food. Once we discovered the problem, a worker came and discovered a huge rat’s nest behind the dishwasher. He seemed to think the problem was solved after sealing some holes, but we heard the rat prowling the kitchen for the entire trip and had to deal with a trap sitting on the kitchen counter. When we mistakenly left a piece of fruit out, we came back to find it gnawed to pieces. The owner was responsive and tried to help, but also noted this is a common issue in ground floor units. In the end, we couldn’t use the unit while the worker took apart the kitchen looking for the rat one day, had to spend more time shopping to replace the eaten food (not cheap in Hawaii!), and had a hairy companion staying with us. Despite the beautiful location, I can’t recommend this unit. If you do stay there, make sure you put away all food in a closed upper cabinet. If they can solve this issue, this is a great place for a couple to stay.

We stayed a week - had a great time. The condo was comfortable and well-appointed. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella. The table on the patio was perfect for dinners while watching the sun set.

Here is the list of problems:
We found 2 cockroaches, one in toilet and the other in the bathroom
No Wi- fi in the unit. When we complained the management hooked us up with next unit. The service was spotty.
No cupboard space either in the bedroom or the living room . There was a small closet in the bathroom which was shared with beach parafarnalia. All the closets were locked and for owners use
There was not a single chair to sit ( to change clothes or shoes) either in the bedroom or bath area or living room.
The furniture was old fashioned And heavy and almost too large for the tiny bedroom leaving hardly any space to go around.
We stayed there for 5 days and enjoyed ourselves because the view was absolutely outstanding and so were the pool and jacuzzi . The kitchen had been updated but had only 1 wine glass. Overall I would go to the property but look for another unit.

My wife and I had a very memorable stay here. The place was clean and spacious. It’s nice to be on the bottom floor where you can just walk right out to the beach or watch sunset from the patio. The Castaway Cafe is also just seconds away for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks. The resort fee is $25/day. We were always able to find a parking space right outside. There’s also a loading zone spot just feet away from the door. We’ll be back for sure!

I’ve been staying at the Maui Kaanapali Villas since the early 90s. Still the best kept secret in Maui. We’ve stated in Banyan, Coconut, Dolphin and Emerald buildings and enjoyed them all but this into tops them all for location and comfort. And the owners are always prompt with any assistance needed. This was our first trip to Maui, and we researched a lot to find a condo right on the beach. Jill was very helpful with answering any questions we had. The place was gorgeous! Well stocked with everything we needed, and so comfortable, We loved being able to walk right out to the beach. The sand, water, and natural setting at Kaanapali was out of this world. We paddle boarded and snorkeled the coral reef in front of the hotel next door. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

We absolutely love the Maui Kaanapali Villas resort, and particularly this unit. The resort sits north of black rock, away from all the crowds on the main part of Kaanapali Beach, while still being an easy walk on the beach path to Whaler’s Village and other resort restaurants. The beach here is outstanding – calm waters, nice sand, and great snorkeling just a short walk up the beach. The resort provides lounge chairs (for free!) on the lawn in front of the beach, has a nice pool and hot tub, a great bar, okay restaurant, and activity rentals all right there on site. This condo unit is right on the lawn facing the ocean, and it’s wonderful to be able to walk right out of your condo to the lounge chairs and beach, or lounge on the lanai looking out at the water and sunsets. The bed is very comfortable, the linens and towels are especially soft, the décor throughout the condo is lovely, the LR has a huge TV that you can watch from the lanai as well, the bathroom and kitchen are modern and spacious, and the condo has every thoughtful amenity you might need. The owners even provide beach chairs, umbrellas and other beach items you might need which we really appreicated. They are also very responsive to communicate with and very accommodating. This was our second stay in this unit and we will definitely be returning. The only down-side – it’s extremely hard to leave!

Can't say enough about this property. It is in the perfect location, best spot on the property, beautiful sunset views every night, steps to the pool and the restaurant. It has all the comforts of home that are so helpful to have! From the portable beach chairs, the cooler, all the dishes. The hosts Bob & Jill are excellent communicators and were on top of an issue we had within an hour. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation.

We recently stayed here on our trip to Maui for 5 days. We could not have asked for a better rental. We loved the location - close to/within walking distance of the beach and restaurants, but far enough away from the major resorts to feel less crowded. The unit itself is perfectly situated near the beach on the first level. Each morning, I threw on some clothes and went straight from the lanai to the beach, or hung out on some of the chairs in the grassy area in front of the unit. The unit was tastefully updated, and the mattress was so perfect. All the appliances were fairly new, and the unit had everything we needed (e.g., pots & pans, beach chairs & umbrella, boogie boards, coffee pot, umbrellas, etc.). We will definitely be staying here again in the future, and we cannot wait to be back in Maui!

We loved everything about Jill’s condo! The location was stunning- beachfront, just steps across the grass to the beach and ocean. The view from the condo was gorgeous! Everything inside the condo was wonderful- clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had everything we needed and were so pleased with our whole stay! We love this location on Kaanapali Beach- the ocean just in front of the resort is sandy and great for swimming, but if you walk north down the beach just a few minutes, there is great snorkeling in front of the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas- best of both worlds! We would snorkel just down the beach and come back in front of the MKV condos to just relax in the water. The condo had beach chairs and beach towels available for us to use (we brought our own snorkeling gear but you can also rent on site). We ate lunches at the Castaway Cafe on site as well- great little spot with beautiful ocean views and friendly staff. We will definitely return to Jill’s condo and the MKV:).

We've been staying at MKV for over 20-years. We've stayed in nearly every building. Dolphin is the BEST and this unit rivals all units that we've stayed. Location, location, location! And unit is clean and comfortable. Can't go wrong with this one. My only reservation to posting this review is that we want this unit available for all of our future visits!

We were looking for rest much needed R and R and this lovely condo exceeded our expectations. The location is spectacular literally on the beach...the place is beautifully equipped with everything you would need, and the whale viewing was perfect. It’s a very private location in a wonderfully quiet part of the complex, yet the pool and beach, plus Castaway Cafe are also right at your fingertips. We could not have asked for more!

Thank you so much for opening your home to us. We are familiar with Maui and knew we wanted to stay on this exact beach and it had exceeded our expectations. We loved the laid back, quiet setting, having breakfast on the patio, and just running out to say good morning to the beach. The many full rainbows were a bonus too. We were hoping to escape the resort feel for true relaxation and this was the perfect place without sacrificing quality. Ideal location - close to the main pool, bar/restaurant, a few steps to the beach, and a 5 minute drive to Whaler's Village. Pictures do not do it justice. Owner was great to work with and quick to respond to any of our questions. We had an amazing time and we will be back!

The condo was everything described in the listing and more. The pictures on the site don't do justice to the actual condo and its view. The unit was well stocked and very clean. The bed and living area furnishings were quite comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai as we looked out at the view of the islands of Lanai and Molokai.
Jill was wonderful to work with. She answered all questions promptly and handled the booking process professionally. This condo has the best view and location in the complex and we look forward to returning. You won't find a nicer condo on Kaanapali Beach.

We rented this unit for my mother while my family of four stayed in another unit in the Aloha Tower. I was a little apprehensive about renting the condo for my mom since there weren't any reviews and the description sounded just too good to be true. Once we stepped in this condo we all fell in love and my family was so jealous that we weren't staying in this condo. We were able to spend our days in this condo and our nights in our room up on the 5th floor of the Aloha Tower. This is by far the best condo that's available to rent in the complex. The view is amazing. The location was terrific. Just can't say enough about it. It was quiet and there really wasn't much foot traffic in front of the unit facing the ocean. The kitchen and bathroom are both beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly need. My mom loved the bed, it was extremely comfortable. The one great thing I noted about this condo was that it had a washer/dryer combo right in the condo so you don't have to walk to the back of the complex and either sit and wait for your laundry or hope that it's there when you come back. The condo is decorated beautifully and all of the furniture, etc., are all in extremely good condition. If my husband and I return on our own, we'll definitely check to see if this condo is available so we can enjoy all that this condo has to offer. I have very high standards and this truly is a wonderfully maintained condo and would highly recommend to anyone who is considering staying at the Villas.
