Everything about this place was great. Place appears recently updated - very well done. Location within Kihei is accessible to everything you could want. Condo was very clean and well-stocked.
The only small downside is you get a bit of traffic noise from the lanai. But that's a product of the great location.

The condo is right across the street from the beach so there is a view. We enjoyed walking at the beach park each morning because there are huge sea turtles to see. The only negative is there is a lot of street noise so it was hard to enjoy the balcony.

We loved our stay at Doug and Pam's condo. They were very easy to communicate with and the booking was trouble free.My wife and I stayed at this condo for 3 weeks at the end of August. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Location is close to many restaurants and food trucks. The condo itself is spacious, nicely decorated and immaculate with a nicely stocked kitchen so we could cook some of the time. The bed was super comfy with great quality linen.The appliances are all top quality. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was very convenient for us since we were able to freshen up towels after a great day at the beach. AC was great to have and extremely quiet. Being centrally located it was nice to have the soundproof door to shut out the traffic noise. We really enjoyed staying on the top floor. Loved the view from our lanai, absolutely stunning sunsets. Was very pleased with the Weber grills and the newly renovated pool area. I highly recommend this condo to anyone visiting Kihei. Thank you so much to Doug and Pam!

It's conveniently located close to restaurants and grocery stores which was a big plus for us. First time using VRBO. It was easy and seamless! Location is prime! Walking distance to shops, eateries and activities. This condo provided literally everything and anything you can think of! Didn't have to go out and buy things like we would've if staying at a hotel! I will never stay in a hotel again!
Pam was so accommodating and responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. Will never stay anywhere else in Maui but this place!

Wow! There were so many thoughtful touches at this condo that made it literally feel like a home away from home. From boogie boards to chip bag clips to a swimsuit drying bar in the shower, the little details really made our vacation in Maui all the better. The hosts truly thought of everything. In addition, the location in Kihei is absolutely perfect. The beach is right across the street with a gorgeous view, and there are also a multitude of excellent food trucks within walking distance. This Vrbo has set the bar for all other Vrbos for us. We highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in Kihei!

This wonderful unit with a view of the park and the ocean is perfect for a couple who are looking for an easy stay. I’ve never stayed in a place so clean, functional and exceptionally well designed. A great mattress, sharp knives, good temperature control, new appliances, single and pot-sized coffee makers, 2 televisions…the list goes on. I’d not hesitate to stay here again. All the comforts of home or a good hotel with none of the inconveniences.

We could’ve not asked for a better place to stay in Kihei. It was affordable very clean extremely well stocked and in an excellent location. It was fun watching people in the park play volleyball in the mornings from the balcony. They provide everything you could need for a pleasant day at the beach from chairs and umbrella to boogie boards and coolers this saved us a lot of money and time. The unit is located in the heart of Kihei. Just a short walk to the Kihei café, skate park, rollerskating area also south Maui Gardens is directly behind this unit with some of the best food trucks on the island I recommend burger boys. We would definitely stay here again.

First-time travelers to Maui and completely satisfied with the condo, its location, and the attentive communication demonstrated by the owners. All instructions for checking-in/out were clearly communicated and accurate.
The condo itself is very well furnished, modern and is in great shape with a fantastic view. It is equipped with all the amenities of home... fully functional kitchen (fridge, range, oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee and K-cup, and all the dishes/pots/pans needed to prepare most any meal), stacked washer/dryer, and more than the essential beach and pool gear at your disposal (includes snorkeling gear!).
Well-stocked grocery store (Foodland Kihei) a mere 5 minutes away by foot. We took the opportunity to prepare our own meals whenever possible (a significant money-saver!). Plenty of options for eating out as well... everything from grab-and-go to full-service, sit-down dining within walking distance.
Also within walking distance, Charles Young beach is a beautiful sandy beach. Kamaole beach lies just a little further. Further South (five to ten-minute drive), Wailea offers a number of equally beautiful beaches in an upscale resort setting.
Easy access to Piilani Hwy and the rest of Maui.

This was a 10/10 experience for us. The perfect location across from the ocean, walking distance to restaurants and shopping and across the street from our fave surfboard rental. The sunset view from the balcony is perfection. This condo has everything you could imagine and the hosts have done an amazing job of ensuring you have everything you need- from the usual beach chairs and towels to extra helpful things like reusable water bottles, ice packs and aloe gel!
We wondered if the location directly facing S Kihei Rd would be loud, but it wasn’t at all. The only disruptive thing is the early wake up calls from the roosters, which is to be expected!
Our teen slept on the sofa bed and said it was quite comfortable. Mattress and pillows in the bedroom were also quite good.
Check-in and communication with hosts was superb. We are already considering a return visit. This property is so very deserving of its 5-star rating.

This place is close to most of Kihei and a lot of restaurants and shopping. The Park across the street is great for sunsets and walking. If you play tennis or basketball, there is court for it and volleyball courts also. If you have kids, then a covered play area in the park also. Across the street next to the park is a cove so you can learn to surf or stand-up paddle board. This is an ideal vacation spot for the young or old. Hope to return in the future. You can't miss with this place.

We really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the washer/dryer and AC burnt out. However, Pam and Doug did an awesome job making sure we got a temporary AC unit and refunded a portion for us. I can 100% say that the place is an absolute gem and I love spending my time on the balcony to watch the sunsets and sunrises. Also, the little books they keep on the table are really helpful. I read one of them all the way through and it was so informational about the history of hawaii which was really enjoyable. The condo was clean, the staff that I did meet were so sweet and easy to talk to. We loooooved the kitchen and now I've got a new dream kitchen to work towards. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the snorkle stuff were so fun to use on the beach. The condo is beyond quiet. Something I think you will never find in a hotel. I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again!

I have stayed in a lot of vacation rental properties. This was the absolute best.
1. So much better to be in Kehei over Lahaina area.
2. Fantastic upgrades that a made a big difference in comfort.
3. Incredibly clean.
4. Best stocked kitchen ever. All condiments, spices, storage items. All kitchen items you would ever need.
5. Pretty busy street out front but new sliding doors worked great at lessening noise. And ocean side park was a nice window into local life. Plus....Sunsets amazing.
6. A/C was a godsend.
7. Wow, the Bed!!!!
8. Great snorkeling spots and multiple sandy beaches as well very close, within 15 - 20 minute drives.
9. Nice restaurants and grocery store within walking distance.

Perfect quiet location. Skip the big resorts, stop here. My wife loved the sunsets from the condo and the beach. Sunrise from the bedroom window she looked forward to each day. Must try the smoked marlin macaroni salad from South Maui Fish Company. Communication to the owners was awesome and amazing. Such great people.!!! Helpful in so many ways to create a special honeymoon for my wife and Myself. Love it love it love it !!!!

Great property, so close to beaches. Right across the street there is a paved beach path and a nice little beach (Kamala). Most of the time we chose to walk about 5-10 mins to get to Kamaole Beach Park I, which has wonderful swimming and a pretty large sandy area. The condo had beach chairs (that conveniently carry as backpacks), towels, snorkel gear, everything you need to hang at the beach. The condo was clean and exactly as described. We highly recommend Peach Love Shave Ice and Kihei Cafe (for coffee and breakfast), all within a very short walk. We hopped around the island quite a bit, but if you are looking for the beachy portion of your trip, I would highly recommend this place. The owners texted us the day of to make sure we had everything we needed, appreciated the communication.

We will definitely stay here again anytime we visit. The two biggest reasons are the location and how well stocked the place is. It was located across from the beach. We chose to walk one minute to waveriders and take a lesson and had a great time. Also went to the convenience store below us a couple of times and then walked to the south shore tiki lounge for pizza and drinks multiple times. But lots of food options within 5 minute walk. The town of Paia is a short drive as well and worth it. The apartment itself felt very safe and was clean and pretty inside. The owners have almost everything you need so don't buy anything until you've checked it out. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel masks and flippers. We were also impressed with all the kitchen appliances and the bathroom was well stocked. The bedroom stays very cool with the ac unit so don't worry about being hot. Trust me you won't regret choosing this place.

We really enjoyed being here at Island Surf and we were very comfortable in the condo. The owners have done an exemplary job of outfitting it to the utmost! I have never seen the level of thought and detail that they have done to meet almost any need of the guests staying here. We will for sure consider coming back and we will also let our friends know about this little gem.
They provide clear written instructions for arrival and departure and I believe anyone who rents this unit will be very satisfied with their stay.

We decided to rent a VRBO during the second half of our trip- and I am so glad we did! Staying here was so much better than staying at a resort, it felt like we were living in Kihei rather than vacationing. All the local restaurants are delicious and within walking distance. We were so happy with our stay at this property. It has a very convenient location, killer sunset views and modern amenities that made our stay easy and comfortable. The hosts took great care in providing basically anything you would need, from cooking utensils, basic personal hygiene products, beach equipment, etc. It was so nice to have reusable grocery bags, small coolers, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach umbrella, etc.
The property had ample parking and also close to parks, beaches, restaurants and a grocery store.
The appliances worked great and looked very nice. The bed and the pull-out sofa were both VERY comfortable. The furnishings made the place very elegant—it looked better in person!
The hosts were also very responsive—we knew beforehand what we needed to bring with us, especially since we were traveling with an 8-month old!
Our family had a great first visit to Hawaii, and a big part of that is because we found our perfect “home” in paradise!

The condo doesn't have a beach right across from it, however a quick walk two blocks puts iyou on sand. The hosts thought of everything! I think the view out the 6th floor was better than the photos showed. I enjoyed looking forward to what the next sunset would look like. I stayed there by myself for relaxation and to unwind. So much to do so close by. I walked several places. I loved it that there was a beach park right across the street. It was so nice to have the little coolers and travel mug and beach chairs and towels! I packed up for the day and drove the Road to Hana and had all my essentials. The unit is very energy efficient and comfortable. The Wi-fi worked great. This was a GREAT place to stay and I would stay here again!

First of all, Kihei is just charming. In my opinion, it is far superior to Lahaina or any of the other resort infested and pumped up areas that get press in Maui. And that brings us to Pam and Doug’s place: not only is it beautiful and clean on the inside, it has an incredible view of the water and West Maui on the porch. Kihei sunsets are explosive, practically a religious event every day. As if this weren’t enough, the location makes it so that you don’t really need to ever walk more than a block or two: great eats, grocery store, rentals of all kinds, and beaches outside the doorstep (turn South for the best beaches). Finally, you really save valuable time and rental costs here because Pam and Doug have chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear all here for use. I was off the plane and into vacation mode within about an hour, which is incredible.
Finally, Pam and Doug were responsive, informative, and polite and helpful. We loved this place and will stay again for sure.

We fell in love with this place the minute we walked in the door! It is beautifully remodeled with all of the bells and whistles. The owners have gone above and beyond when it come to well stocking a short term rental. We had everything we needed and more. The private bedroom with a king sized bed was super comfortable and is outfitted with nice linens. The kitchen is fully stocked and very well organized. The open floor plan in the living room offers wonderful views of the ocean. The view is fantastic on the 6th floor. The complex is well maintained and offers a lot of shopping options on the first floor. There is a park right across the street with lots of nice walking trails and beaches. There are lots of dining options available in the immediate area. We had a most enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend! This place lives up to the reviews.

This space is in a really cool part of town. The inside of rental is very nice and up to date. It has everything you need for a room plus more. Right across the street from the beach. Plenty of parking. AC works really well and has a washer and dryer. About 25 mins from the Airport/Costco. Would love to return.

We just returned from our 10 day stay at Islandsurf 603. This is our 4th stay at this property. It's a beautifully decorated condo with great views. It's centrally located to restaurants and bars and within easy driving distance to any part of Maui. The owners, Pam and Doug Allen are great to do business with. Any questions we have are usually answered within an hour. They're very accommodating to any requests we might have. Usually before our visit is over we reserve 603 for the next year. This year we didn't wait that long, we reserved it for 2022 before we left to go on vacation. Do yourself a favor. Reserve IslandSurf 603 and live the good life in Kehei.

I stayed at the condo for a month. The most important aspect of this condo is its location. It is close to almost everything one may need: a grocery store (foodland or hawaiian moons), good food and music (kihei caffe), a nice park right across as well a great spot to learn how to surf. The views from the apartment are beautiful and sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. The apartment is sparking clean and is well stocked with all the modern amenities. Pam is a great host and was prompt in answering my questions. I had a great time staying at the condo and will highly recommend a stay here.
