The only issue we had was parking. There was maintenance going on with the building and landscaping so they kept blocking off multiple parking areas each day that you had to navigate. If you ignore the parking issues, the unit was a very nice unit.

The unit was pleasant, clean (no bugs!), and well stocked with a nice view of the ocean from the lanai. We appreciated the beach items (chairs, snorkeling gear) that were provided. The complex is also very pleasant, with multiple well-maintained pools and a nice cabana area. Communication from Kona Coast was great! The only negative was we both found the bed to be rather uncomfortable and had difficulty sleeping while we were there, resulting in some rather tired days. It seems like the mattress might be in need of an upgrade.

This place was everything we needed! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the grills outside was perfect for dinners. The bedroom is perfect size with ample amount of closet and drawer space! The place also had everything you needed for the beach. Coolers, beach bags, ice packs, snorkel gear and beach chairs. Honestly couldn’t think of anything else we could’ve needed! We will recommend this place to everyone

We had a very positive experience at Casa de Emdeko. For starters, the condo was everything that we expected from what we viewed online prior to booking. The facilities, the common area, the pools and gardens far exceeded our expectations. The local residents made us feel welcomed. We will definitely consider rebooking again.

We really had a wonderful time at Casa de Emdeko! The suite was well equipped and comfortable. Having a car was very important in order to visit the beaches and points of interest. The sunsets were spectacular and we loved every minute of our vacation.

We were so pleased to find that the condo was even nicer than expected - it truly seemed like the remodel must have just been completed and the owner stocked the kitchen with lovely matching items that truly made it feel like staying at a friend's well kept place rather than a rental. There were so many thoughtful touches and items available for use while there (beach/pool gear, cooking basics, activity recommendations for the island). The view from the balcony is wonderful - both of the lush tropical courtyard and ocean. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exactly as described, plus extremely clean and well equipped. We had plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking and appreciated the condiments and kitchen organization. The bathroom had extra toiletries. There was even a bin for “Take One, Leave One” in case a toiletry item was forgotten by a guest. We just felt this extra gesture was both welcoming and generous. The bed was comfy, there were plenty of hangers in the large closet, and lots of plug-ins for electronics. There were a couple of pool noodles that we thoroughly enjoyed using. This was our sixth stay the Casa de Emdecko, but our first day in this particular property. We would not hesitate to rent number 328 again.

Unit was comfortable. Had plenty of space for a one bedroom unit. Kitchen also had plenty of supplies. Floors were ceramic tiles that needed cleaning!! Also no washer & dryer in this unit. (That was disappointing)

This condo has everything you need for 2 people on vacation! It was very clean. It has a full kitchen stocked with all dishes and utensils, plus appliances. Bathroom has everything you need and is stocked with extra things you might forget like bandages, sunscreen, beach towels, etc… They have a closet full of snorkel gear, cooler, backpacks and other things you can use. WiFi was excellent. View from the balcony is amazing and the beach on the property is nice to watch the sunset. Highly recommend!

Our stay here was perfect! We spent 7 days here and moved to another location for another 7 days once our family arrived and instantly wanted to go back to casa de emdeko.

Fantastic stay all around, would definitely choose to stay here next time we are in Kona. Great amenities, fast internet (so you can work from anywhere) and less than 10 minutes to downtown Kailua-Kona

Love the location, just about 10 mins from Kona town and diving and all that. Perfect. The complex is very beautiful too. Nice pools, gardens and sunsets!
The condo itself was just ok. The kitchen was nice and well appointed, and the lanai was also very nice. Good chairs and sun shades. It's the sunny side of the complex during the day, but you can't see the sunset from the lanai bc it goes down too far north (at least when we were there).
The bad: The shower was ridiculously small. Uncomfortable. I scraped my back on the sharp hot/cold water knobs. And the shower floor needed a scrub. The bed was also not very comfortable. A $100 mattress topper would go a long way. Also, they had cable but no cable remote, so you don't get a guide, and you have to flip through the channels using the TV remote which doesn't work very well (we tried changing the batteries but no help) so you have to press the button 3-5 times to get it to register anything. So that was dumb, but the DVD/blu-ray player worked great.
Final thing was the cockroaches, which I know you can't avoid in Hawaii, but there were all different sizes, including babies. That means infestation. I told the manager and they said it's the building's responsibility. I would think as a vacation rental manager, you'd call in a guy in between the building's pest control if needed, but that's just me. We put our food away every night and emptied the trash but it did not help. The roaches didn't relegate themselves to the kitchen and bathroom either, they were in our bags and we even had one in the rental car when we left!
In retrospect, this condo was not cheap, so for a few dollars more, we should have gotten a little nicer place.

Lovely property, well-kept, very clean, nicely renovated. My only suggestion is to provide a manual corkscrew and a colander in the kitchen, otherwise everything else was great (a slightly larger cooler would also be awesome)! Our accommodations were everything we needed in a place to stay. Clean, quiet, TILE flooring (why on earth would anyone still have carpet in Hawaii?!), and a nice pool. I wouldn't say anything was above expectation or amazing, but certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Rented this unit several times and it's always in top notch shape. The owner's have everything you could possibly need. The grounds are very well kept including the salt and fresh water pools. Love the sunsets from the ocean front and the view from the lanai is always wonderful. You will not find a nicer condo at this price point, believe me!!

Lovely condo. Had everything we needed - kitchen excellent. Nice south facing balcony with a partial ocean view. Sofa is a hide-a-bed but only moderately comfy for sitting on. AC adequate -was regulated to coolest temp lowest of 74 which is a little too warm for us at night so used ceiling fans to keep sleeping area cooler. Great salt water pool and really nIce mini beach with lounge chairs at Oceanside. Beautiful sea wall to watch sunset from which was a highlight of most days. Quiet location.

Nice condo with view from lanai. Property is about two miles from town, so good for joggers or those with bicycles. Furniture and furnishings are dated, and the bathroom and kitchen layouts are quite awkward but functional. Couch is comfy. Nice having keypad entry and not having to worry about keys. Nice grounds, pool, and BBQ area. The property's bar area needs repairs and updating. Overall a good base place to stay.

Fantastic! My husband, our 9 month old and I stayed here for 9 days in January 2015. While we wished the property was a bit closer to the small town, this place was great overall. Good pool, great beach views, awesome BBQ area and cabana. The actual condo was immaculate, newly renovated and very well maintained. The property manager was an absolute pleasure. Highly highly recommend. We would most definitely stay here if we return to the big island.

This rental exceeded our expectations! Coded keyless entry made it easy for us to get in and out securely without having to worry about misplacing the keys. The condo is beautifully maintained with new appliances, central air conditioning and ceiling fans. The place was well stocked with extra towels, blankets, beach chairs, boogie boards. There are two pools, one chlorine and one salt water, both maintained well with views of the ocean. The sunset on the beach is one of the most beautiful we've ever seen. We will definitely want to stay here again on our next trip to Hawaii.

This unit is top shelf. All updated appliances with fully stocked kitchen accessories, Updated tv and stereo. We loved the Island we did some snorkeling,did a dinner cruise, plus the normal tourist things...like coffee plantation tour, Place of Refuge. We drove to Volvano National Park, then the Black Beach & then spent the night in Hilo. Next day we did the Botanical Gardens & Akaka Falls. We made sevefral side trips but always has #328 to come home to. I wouild recomend it.
