Kihei was a great place to stay for being centrally located on the island with lots a good eating places nearby. The beach by the property isn’t great for swimming in, but is a beautiful sunset. The condo was nice and had two bathrooms which was a plus. My only complaint was that either the prior people that stayed or the cleaning crew placed wet boogie boards and chairs in the bedroom closet which caused it to reek of mildew. We kept the closet closed the entire time. Also the bedroom fan remote was not working initially. It worked after I removed the batteries and replaced them.

Our family of four loved the condo and it was perfect for our week in Hawaii. The unit has everything needed and is well kept. The Maui Sunset complex is great and has something for everyone. Our teens loved playing football on the lawn, tennis and the large pool. Check in/out was easy as was communication with the host. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The condo is on the ground floor with easy access to pool and beach. Beautiful sunset views.
It is well equipped with everything you would need and quickly feels just like home. Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. A definite do over!

Celebrating my 40th birthday, just my husband and I. This property and unit were absolutely perfect. I loved the ground floor to be able to go the beach and come back for anything so easily. Already dreaming of returning, maybe with the kids this time ;-)

This was our 2nd time staying at the Maui Sunset. This condo is on the ground level and the owners provide you with everything you need. They are very responsive too. We have a toddler and a 1 year old and they thoroughly enjoyed running around the lawn outside of the condo. The Maui Sunset grounds are well kept, and the pool is well maintained. We would love to come back to this property again someday.

Mary made it easy, was very communicative, and was able to accommodate us on short notice when our plans changed due to COVID.
The condo is nice, maintained, modern, and full of items to make you feel at home. The property is clean, maintained, quiet, easy to access, and was close to our destinations.
Check in and out was simple, never had an issue with parking, or anything else.
I would stay again.

Friendly staff in office easy check in big pool and hot tub in back with a great view of the ocean witch can be a great place to relax catch a few sun rays and feel a good breeze room was excellent didn't stay in the room much but it was great 2 walk in showers 2 tvs a queen size bed washer dryer lots of appliances and accessories you dont get in a hotel felt very comfortable to sit eat breakfast or just relax at the end of the day overall stay was fantastic!!!!

We had the BEST time at the Maui Sunset. Our unit was perfect for our family of three! Located on the ground level was perfect for our 1 year old who spent most of her time running around the grounds. The property is so well maintained…. And the pool is fenced in, it was the perfect outdoor space.
Our unit was very clean, and our host Mary was lovely and very easy to get a hold of. We had no issues! The unit was also very well stocked - from dish-wear to linens to beach gear.
I would highly recommend this unit!!

Mary was such a great host. She was responsive and always answered my questions quickly. We had everything we needed in the condo. We walked to the beach, played tennis, swam in the pool, and played bocce ball as a family. The condo is in a great location central to lots of yummy food and a close drive to west Maui, the airport, and the road to Hana. We will be staying here again! Mahalo!

The condo is clean a spacious. Short walk to the beach for fun in the ocean. Near a bus stop and good location to go just about anywhere. Will hope to stay here again soon!

Bob and Mary have a gorgeous home that is within 100 feet of the Ocean. The amenities were incredibly helpful, as the kitchen comes stocked with quality kitchenware and utensils. The washer and dryer were a huge benefit during our vacation, and the beach chairs/umbrellas made it so convenient for us to travel throughout Maui. The complex is gorgeous, and is less than a .2 mile drive from nearby grocery stores, restaurants, and tourist attractions. There is nature all around you, so a lizard or bug may sneak their way into the premises, but that's only because you have the convenience of the first floor. It's in a safe neighborhood with stunning views, a tennis court/pool, and an authentic Hawaiian experience. Bob and Mary have the nicest patio decor compared to their neighbors (the ceramic on the back of the a/c was a nice touch) that makes you feel like you're at your home away from home. That being said, you should BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS. We cannot hype this place up enough, but during our particular stay these towels smelled like they had been personally attacked by a dog/cat with violent gastrointestinal issues. We honestly feel like this was an isolated incident, but it's worth noting in a comprehensive review. The furniture is great, having three beds was a huge perk, and they had many games/toys that make this a delight for kids and adults alike. This quaint unit is surrounded by friendly neighbors, an accessible parking lot, and shaved ice stores that will give you memories that will last a lifetime.
