This very roomy studio has everything you need for your stay in Maui. One of the best beaches is a 5 minute walk away. We cooked most of our own meals as the Saturday farmer market down the road had lots of fresh produce. There is an organic grocery store a 10 minute walk away as well. Plenty of towels and a change of sheets are available and beach chairs and coolers...even lanterns if you go to see the sunrise at Haleakala (bring a winter coat!). Myna birds roost next to the condo at sunset each evening. There is a cacophony of activity. We loved it. However, the birds are active at night as well from time to time as are the roosters. With the a/c on you can't hear them. I, personally loved listening to the birds, that's part of the reason I love Hawaii so much. Becky was lovely to deal with. Thank you for letting us stay at your condo.

This condo might be small but the owners have maximized the space and storage so you have everything you need and it feels larger than it is. It was great to have an actual queen size bed with night tables in a studio apartment. The owners provide meticulous instructions about the unit and the resort so finding things was very easy. The beach chairs and umbrella looked new. Contacting the owners was also very easy.
The unit is on the quieter side of the building with 190 degree spectacular views of West Maui and Mount Haleakala (and a sliver of the ocean).
The resort is in a great location, across from KAM II with many shops and restaurants within a 15 min. walk.
Would definitely rent this unit again.

The most amazing thing about the property is the ocean view from the lanai. I knew it had one from the pictures but it's much better in person. We watched the sunset from there looking for the green spark. The place is clean and comfortable and comes packed with a lot extra things you can use to help ease your trip. I recommend it to any single person or couple looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

This condo is in a great location- can see the ocean from the balcony and just a short walk across the road to the beach. Becky and mark are terrific hosts, communicate well, and provide everything you need, including beach chairs, umbrella, and towels. The kitchen is well stocked and the condo is in walking distance to some restaurants. Highly recommend!

The property was perfect, great location. We cooked breakfast every morning before we left to explore. Across the street from the beach, beautiful sunsets. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and stores. Easy access to the highway for all the sightseeing we did.

The condo is in the heart of South Kihei and is in walking distance to key beaches, stores, restaurants. Becky and Mark have created a cozy nest, feathered with thoughtful amenities and necessities. The property was perfect and exactly what we we’re hoping for. We had everything we needed to be comfortable plus more. Everything is Very clean with a comfortable bed and couch. The view from the lanai was very good and facing the beach, the location was excellent and just a quick walk across the street for swimming and snorkeling and also a good location to walk for something to eat or drink as well. First I want to say that Kihei was an awesome place to stay on Maui. The vibe was laid back, the people were friendly, the amenities around town were top notch without resort prices. I highly recommend it!
As for the condo, it was perfect. Great location, great views, fully stocked and comfortable. Check in was easy and thorough. I didn’t have to reach out to the owners at all because I had everything I needed, instructions and all. But prior to my stay, communication with the owners was always answered quickly and friendly. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable (I did have to do some work), the kitchen had everything I needed to cook and save leftovers, the water pressure was great in the shower, the washer dryer was so helpful on my long trip, and the living room had built ins for all my stuff to stay organized. The condo complex was clean, felt safe, and so close to everything (beach, restaurants, liquor store, there’s even a 5-star rated spa just around the corner). A quick drive to Wailea gets you to that high-end resort town with more shopping and restaurants. Several of my excursions left from Wailea so that made it super easy as well.
Bottom line, if this condo is available for your dates, book it now because it is absolutely worth it!

Becky & Mark have provided a wonderfully comfortable condo and the location is perfect for Maui adventures! The physical location away from the road allows for more peace and quiet to enjoy the birds and plants and we were able to explore farmer's markets and hiking trails, all within a 35 minute drive. After a fun filled day, we end up at Kamaole Beach II to watch the sun set, then, return to our well appointed residence and reflect on the day's awesomeness. 10/10 would recommend!

Becky and Mark, you could not have done more to make our trip more enjoyable. Thank you for all your attention to detail! Everything was perfect! It is the cleanest unit we have ever stayed in! Having items stocked to help get us started was such a bonus. First place I have ever stayed where the towels were soft and plush. We loved using all the beach gear made our beach days so relaxing. This unit has everything you could possibly imagine including the full refrigerator and dishwasher. It was really a quiet unit with a beautiful view. Centrally located to pretty much anything you would want to do. The beaches across the street were beautiful! Having the restaurants and shopping near by was a huge bonus. We were here during whale season and saw several whales right from the shore and enjoyed many, many gorgeous sunsets. We absolutely could not have asked for more. What an amazing experience. We had booked this property well in advance, and couldn’t have been happier about our choice. Literally in the middle of Kihei, a daily beautiful walk down the property right to the beach. And the walk up was great to burn off those Açaí bowls :)
The property was perfect, and just what we needed. The most comfortable bed, a fantastic couch for lounging and the private Lanai was AMAZING. So private, nobody to the left or right of you. The views are amazing, you get the mountain to the right and then the ocean to the left. The shower was perfect, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. Fridge freezer combo was clutch!! And if you’re worried about bringing anything for the beach, DONT. Beach chairs, noodles, cooler, towels, even a caddy with wheels to help take everything down to the beach is all there.

I surprised my wife for our anniversary andcher 60th birthday with this trip. We were blown away the second we got in the condo. Becky and Mark have thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Even the smallest details were taken into consideration for us. The location is awesome, with great views of the ocean and mountains, and we spent every morning, and every evening out out on the lanai sipping coffee, and enjoying the breeze. I had a wonderful stay at Becky's condo at Kihei Akahi. This is one of those places you want to keep as a secret, but yet share with everyone.
What you see in the pictures and read in the description is exactly what you are getting...a very well appointed studio that will have everything you need and more (yep...sadly...I even used a most likely under used iron/ironing board...that worked great...to fix my wrinkled shirt for Mama's Fish House).
I was surprised on how well a studio can be appointed without feeling overfilled. If you need it, it is probably in the condo. Great job Becky!
For those that cook, the kitchen is a very nice size and has everything one needs to make a very nice meal.
While the unit itself is to be admired (again, it has everything), one of main joys of this place is the lanai. I had breakfast/coffee every morning and a couple evening sunset cocktails on it. In the morning, it was wonderful to listen to the birds...sitting just above the plumeria trees... and have the sun come from behind Haleakala while drinking Maui coffee and eating Hawaiian granola. And in the evening...no need to race to a coastal bar/restaurant...this lanai is your private box seat for movie worthy Maui sunsets as it faces the perfect direction towards the west.
As for the grounds, Kihei Akahi is well maintained. The grounds at Kihei Akahi are very nice and lush. They have such a variety of plants/trees, they even have a "Botanical Walk" map. The staff I interacted with were very nice. Evening security patrol were very nice and polite.
Finally (but certainly not least) interacting with Becky was easy and I knew if I needed anything she would be there. She was always a quick email or text message away.
Secret is out, this is a great place to stay.
I hope to visit Becky's condo again on future visits to Maui. Mahalo Becky!

This condo could be the most thoughtfully appointed unit I have ever rented from any property on VRBO in the USA, Mexico and Europe. The owners clearly took great care to consider whatever a visitor may need and even left a treat and welcome card personally written to me. From the expected things, like good towels, comfortable bedding, appointed kitchen they also included the extended basics for an oceanside condo: great beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and even extras like lotions and miscellaneous bath needs. The kitchen is small but you could cook a Thanksgiving dinner in it considering all the pots, pans, cooking tools you could possibly need. The unit is on a corner giving windows on two sides and overlooks a greenbelt that may fill up with birds in the late afternoon. But as soon as the sun sets so does their bird-conversation. It’s in a fabulous location with two pools, tennis court, grilling facilities, walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. All of the pictures are exactly what the unit offers and the lovely grounds.
The check in process was seamless. I received a text message confirming the details and I was even able to get in earlier than the stated check-in time because the unit was ready. Upon check in I was given a starter bag of clothes detergent – thank you! The key code entry process saves any stress over loosing your key! The owners were extremely attentive with the questions that came up during my stay and were very accommodating to my requests. They are a real delight to know. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. Thank you for making the last few days of my Maui adventure so sweet and memorable.

The condo has everything you need and the bed was a very pleasant surprise, very comfortable. Nice and close to the best beaches and every other convenience in Kihei. We made good use of the small soft cooler bag that Becky provided when we inquired, it went everywhere with us so thank you for that! The upgrades in the condo were great, especially the new windows, they made a huge difference for temperature control. We never needed the air conditioner. Having the ability to block out the sound of the birds (a nice as they are) allows you to sleep in past 6am! We have stayed in both condos and hotels and I would say this has been our best experience yet (12 Years). We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui.

This was our first VRBO. We would never do anything else! What a great first experience. We arrived early to Maui and a text was waiting when we turned our phones back on that our place was ready. WOW, after flying for 13 hours that was greatly appreciated. The condo was equipped with absolutely everything, the little extras(lots of spices, a super comfortable bed, basic condiments, ketchup, mayo, mustard) 2 bottles of cold water, chocolates and macadamia nuts waiting for us upon our arrival. YUM. Situated in the great little town of Kihei with great shops and restaurants in walking distance. The beach was awesome, as was the snorkeling and turtles on both ends of our beach! I am a walker and felt so safe and comfortable taking my morning walks. Everyone was so friendly. Thank you for everything Becky🐢

Everything about this condo was perfect for us. We walked to the beach most days, using the beach chair and beach towels provided. We loved the location; walking distance to some restaurants, shops, coffee and the beach. The view from the balcony was beautiful, we made breakfast in the morning and a nice bonus, going home with clean clothes; we utilized the washer and dryer. The condo provides more than you expect. We had a prefect baby moon, thank you!
