It was okay but not near as nice as last stay there , different condo . But no pool closures , quieter . The parking is terrible . I travel with a handicap friend and had to drop her off and then hunt for parking usually outside gate because I can walk , rental car received terrible scratches while parked !

Awesome spot close to pretty much all you can ask for when you want to have an awesome vacation (restaurant, beaches, shops, etc.)
Moreover, the resort has two different pools and the unit is basically right beside both of them.

I really enjoyed this property and the location of the condo complex. It is about 10 minutes drive south of Kailua Village. Pros: comfortable, clean unit. Free parking, mostly available. Very nice pools — One saltwater on the ocean’s edge. Cons: self check-in with no staff on site (i was traveling alone, so I would have welcomed staff — available by phone only). Ocean view was peak-a-view at best, some of the photos are out of date: floors have been updated and the bathtub removed (but shower is nice), no dining on site (but a convenient store for essentials fronts the property). Biggest annoyance was weekly water shut offs with only short notice (it fell on my check out day so I had to vacate the condo very early in the morning). Also, I had asked if there were beach chairs, umbrellas etc. I was told no because the management company is concerned about liability. So before I checked in I had purchased some items to use while I was there, only to find that there were indeed beach chairs and an umbrella. I would rather sign a hold-harmless agreement than be told that there is nothing available for me to use and have a needless expense. Bottom line, I would stay at this property again if not traveling alone, but I would choose a unit with a better view.

From the time we booked through to checkout, communication with the booking management team was excellent. The address is Ali’i Drive, but the complex is set well back and you would never know you were close to a busy road. Check-in was a breeze, the condo is really well-stocked and has ample cooking utensils, cutlery & dishes etc. even for people who don’t want to dine out. The covered patio has a view of the ocean and grounds, the communal barbecue area is well-lit, two pools and the sandy “beach” area immaculately maintained, there are ample outdoor shaded areas to socialize, and there is a very calm/quiet atmosphere about the entire complex. A perfect spot for people seeking a calm oasis, and for families with young children; perhaps not so much for people who vacation in ‘party hardy’ mode! Outstanding property management and communication, as well. The condo is 1.3 miles from the ‘downtown’ area with shops, restaurants, etc.; a trolley service runs along the length of Ali’i would make it quite do-able to stay without a vehicle. and easily get to restaurants and shops. The ONLY drawback for us was that we like to walk everywhere, but the only way to walk to the ‘downtown’ area is on a narrow walking lane marked on the busy road, and that didn’t feel safe to us.

Finished a 11 day stay in Kona with 3 days at Casa De Emdeko. Pros: Nice condo, good location. Cons: Carpet not new as noted, fees added to room rent almost equals nightly fee.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay here at casa de emdeko 212. We ended up staying 14 nights here. Everything we needed was supplied from kitchen accessories to the bathroom towels and hand soap. The unit was very tidy and we ran into no problems with it. The clothes washer and dryer was nice to have in unit. The large tv and wi-fi came in handy as well. The central A/C was very welcome for those hot days we had. From the lanai we had a good view to the ocean. We used the ocean side salt water pool many times during our stay, was very relaxing. In general, the surrounding property and "beach" area were very well maintained and clean. Being only 1.5 miles or so from downtown Kona, everything was close by that we needed, even a couple nice beaches too. The included beach chairs and cooler was used many times! Was nice to have those in the unit too. Was contacted by kona coast vacations on arrival asking if we had any issues, fortunately we didn't. Overall, it was a great stay for us, sad it had to end!
