Poipu Beach Park, Kauai

Poipu beach is the south shore's premier beach and one of Kauai's most popular beaches. The beach is split into two small bays. One section is protected and ideal for infants and small children and adults new to swimming. The other section is good for swimming and snorkeling in the winter. In the summer when the waves pick up this is a very popular surf location. The surf break is over a reef and so not suitable for beginners - (Kiahuna beach directly next door is better for beginners).
