Mauna Kea beach is located just north of Hapuna beach and shares many of Hapunas characteristics. The gently sloping beach offers excellent swimming as well as snorkeling on the two rocky flanks of the beach. Parking is very limited, although the beach is fairly empty through 2008 due to the the Muana Kea Resort being refurbished.
