The complex is a nice little set of condos on the beach. This particular unit is clean but dated. The kitchen was poorly laid out and a challenge to work in. The art is very dated. A couple of lights barely worked. And the biggest bummer: the pool is colder than the ocean, so nobody (except a dedicated lap swimmer) spent much time in it. Nonetheless, we had a nice time in Maui.

Waiohuli Beach Hale is very close to everything you will need for your stay with easy access to the main highways. Unit D-214 is on the second floor with no elevator, but it's right next to the parking lot so you shouldn't have problems getting in and out. Just be ready to carry what you need up one flight of stairs. Everything was comfortable in the room. The two portable AC's did great. Highly recommend staying here if you can work with a second floor unit.

Waiohuli Beach Hale is located in Kihei, Maui. The location is on a gorgeous beach perfect for water activities and strolling. Nearby shops and restaurants make having a car unnecessary really, but there is much to see and do all over the island. It is quiet and peaceful with friendly people.Unfortunately this particular condo, D214, is in need of some remodeling. The bathroom in particular is very outdated and some of the cabinets are falling apart. Sink and bathtub are stained and way past their prime. It's hard to tell if it's clean or not. There is no dishwasher. The mattress on the pull out couch is extremely uncomfortable.We have stayed at Waiohuli Beach many times over the years, but I would not stay in this unit again.

Unit location is good and looked clean on entry. The unit has pest issues and water heater cannot serve family of 4 with each taking 5 mins shower. Dont count in sofa-bed, on request they gave us air bed which was good. Rest of the things are fine. Well furnished kitchen with towels and sheets.

Curtains are old ,dirty and have holes in them . Bathroom cabinets are peeling, no counter space. We looked at some other units in the complex and the ones we saw were quite updated for the same amount of money.

My husband and I travelled with our two adult children and their spouses, renting three condos here. Lots of chances to be together at the lovely beach and pool, and enjoyed grilling and eating in the picnic area. Nce to have the convenience and privacy if individual condos. A great stay!

This is our 4th stay at Waiohuli Beach hale. We have stayed in 4 different units(including a 2 bedroom). Waiohuli Beach hale has the best location, grounds and overall appeal.Unit D214 needs remodeling! The carpet is worn and stained. The bathroom cabinets are falling apart. I scratched my leg on the bathroom cabinet. The screen door is extremely hard to open/close.D214 was equipped with everything we needed.We were comfortable and it was adequate in amenities. It just needs to be updated.Waiohuli Beach hale is a hidden treasure in Kihei.We hope we can return again next year but we would choose another unit if it was possible. I highly recommend Waiohuli Beach hale!

These bugs not cool, but so many other positives that I can actually overlook bugs :) I hope that they were a type of tropical ant, and not baby bed bugs...

The property and grounds are so beautiful and well-maintained. The pool is a very generous size and the ocean/beachfront is a two minute walk from your door - the property has it's own beachfront with lovely sand.
The unit itself was adequate - it could use some updating - particularly the bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with needed cutlery, dishes, etc. The living room and bedroom are quite comfortable, and the view of the ocean and grounds is wonderful. We would stay in this Unit again, but would like to see a few things fixed up.

This rental was awesome! Absolutely gorgeous property, view of the ocean and seriously felt like we were at a resort when we sat and lounged on the back deck patio! When you first drive up to the units, it's deceiving because they don't look like much, but once you park and walk around back, wow! Everything was perfect, couldn't ask for more for the price! The condo unit itself was awesome itself, very charming and clean, waaay better than staying at a hotel or resort room in my opinion and I've been to some nice ones in the past!
All in all, highly recommend staying here! Will look to stay here again in the future!

Management staff was very accommodating of our travel plans changing a couple times due to COVID lockdowns and border restrictions. Comfortable little place, right on the beach, short walk to groceries and several coffee shops. Had a great stay.

Our unit was worn, but clean. The dresser drawer finish was peeling off, as was the bathrooms. The bedroom windows need cleaning. The TV had a lot of old reruns and our weather was very windy, so we were probably inside more than we would normally be. The resort pool was very nice and the general grounds and location was nice.

The property is beautiful. The residents were friendly. The beach couldn't be better. Swimming with turtles and watching whales play. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance.

The property was everything we needed. It was clean and stocked with all the essentials. The view from the lanai was divine with the garden, pool and ocean all within view. We watched whales spouting and breeching right from the beach in front of the condo. We swam with sea turtles daily and they would usually come up on the beach to rest throughout the day. We never heard anything from any other neighbor or outside noise, we slept wonderfully on the comfy bed. All the restaurants we wanted to eat at were almost within walking distance. This condo is centrally located to Lahaina, Haleakala and Hana. We are already planning our next trip and we are for sure staying here again. You are truly in paradise.

Very nice setting! Nice stretch of beach for walking. Grounds are kept up very well. Nice swimming pool. Happy, friendly fellow guests or owners.
Property is very close to grocery store, shops and restaurants. We mostly cooked or prepared meals at our condo.
Our unit was somewhat outdated but comfortable. Cupboards need refacing. Bed slants somewhat. Still we had a great stay!

The condo was in a great location. But there was one beach chair with a broken back, one of the lamps blew out, no lights were connected to the switches, two of the outdoor glasses leaked. It just needs a lot of love. Oh and our door code got shut off before we checked out and had to get that fixed.

We loved Waiohuli Beach Hale for our one week stay in Kihei. The room was comfortable. We had a view of the ocean from our balcony. The beach access was easy and our condo had chairs and ice chests to use. There is a grocery store just around the corner to buy supplies. There are also great restaurants and coffee houses within walking distance.

The property was in a great location, close to everything and a quick 20-30 minute drive from all of the great places in Maui. The beach was calm and quiet. The residents were kind and welcoming. The space was peaceful and spacious for my husband and I.

Nice place to stay for a week. Pool and beach very close. Just right for two people. Beach towels and chairs were useful. There's a broken rack in the closet. Curtains had a few holes so could use updating. Kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay here again.
