I get that you must control cost. But at the very least there should be a couple waters on arrival. This is usually the very least most VRBO hosts will do, if not more. Parking cost was a bit excessive.

The resort itself was nice and clean. Wonderful pool and spa areas! The food and drinks were excellent. Our room was basic and could have some updating, but was fine for our needs. The interior of building 4 where our room was located also needed some fixing up/updating. However overall, the room and resort was a good deal for the price point. We would stay here again!

The wife and I were there for 2 weeks. Crystal was absolutely amazing to work with. We ran into issues with weather and late flights, etc and she worked with us on the late arrival. Inside the room we found 2 boogie boards, 2 chairs for the beach, 2 sets of snorkel gear, and 1 cooler. All of which we used which saved us time and money while out there. Crystal was very responsive whenever we needed to message her. The property was awesome. They have 2 restaurants, 2 pools, beach front property (I highly recommend seeing the sunrise every morning since the beach faces to the east), 2 hot tubs which 1 is adults only with a small waterfall. It is conveniently located for almost anything you want to do. 1 he to the north to go to princeville, and 1.5 hr from the west to waimean canyon. 5/5 would book with Crystal again.

Hotel room was basic - property was beautiful - half of it has been remodeled the other half is very old. We were moved to a room that was a 'partial ocean view' - due to scaffolding in front of the ocean front room we reserved. The problem was a noise every 40-50 seconds that sounded like we were right next to the elevator! It was very disturbing and made the stay very difficult and unpleasant.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Outrigger Kauai resort unit under stayz. Owner had moved us to another ( better) unit due to renovations, view of pool and open gardens were always fabulous. Unit was comfortable although I thought it could have done with a thorough clean upon arrival. Owner was kind enough to throw in unit clean midway through our stay which was welcomed ( and not asked for). Loved the happy hours and music events in the bar/restaurant. Hotel is perfectly situated for western and eastern road trips. And close to airport which was handy but non intrusive. Overall a great stay for an easy relaxed holiday on the best island in Hawaii

The location of this property was very close to the airport and easy to locate. Very nice property, a little difficult to locate room from lobby due to it raining and had to use elevator to one floor then take stairs down to the floor our room was on.
The room was nice a little dated, bed very comfortable, great view a property and ocean. Coffee maker needs to be replaced, it’s small and did not keep coffee warm.
It was great that our host arranged for a mid-stay cleaning service.

The accommodations were as described. The view from the room was of the pool and the ocean. This room is part of a hotel and as such doesn’t have any utensils, plates, etc so be prepared to purchase those items if you think you will need them. I was going to use the coffee pot but there was an old coffee filter still in it so I wasn’t sure how clean it was. There were also no other filters. If you want to make your own coffee, get everything you’ll need. Make sure to bring any toiletries that you will need. There is a Starbucks located on the resort in the gift shop. There are 3 restaurants on the resort, Naupaka which serves breakfast and dinner, Shutters that serves dinner, and Driftwood Bar & Grill that serves lunch fare. The food was good at all 3. There is a bottle filler located on the 2nd floor of building 3 where the ice and vending machines are. We didn’t find it until more than half way through our stay. The microwave is located in the main building on the 5th floor. If we make it back to Kauai, we would stay here.

The Outrigger Kauai Resort is beautiful. We had a great view of both the ocean and pool area. Crystal left us all the information we needed. The balcony was the perfect spot to watch the sunrise

Resort is partially privately owned and part hotel owned. Extra activities not available to condo renters. We avoided the $25/day resort fee but had to pay $34/ day for parking. Location was north of busy Kalapaki Bay area. Pools were nice, and room clean with a nice view. Beach not swimmable due to coral but we visited several nice beaches. Owner had small cooler & coffee pot available. Beach chairs would be a nice addition.

This is a wonderful resort on a stunning Island. There are many things to see and do here and the resort is awesome! Check-in is a breeze, and the staff is terrific. We enjoyed walks on the beach and the sunrise is wonderful. The location is good although the turnout of the resort can be challenging. The pools are terrific and the food and options were enough especially good value for breakfast, as we explored local restaurants and other resorts for dinner. The unit is a hotel room with a larger refrigerator and no cooking ability. We typically go for condos for the extra space but no regrets here.

We have stayed at the island several times and found this location really preferable thanks to being between Lihue and Kapa'a. The resort's pools and beach bar were a great place to have some downtime and its location on the beautiful Kauai Beach which is very beautiful and a great place to walk and beach comb. We watched several gorgeous sunrises just steps outside our suite. The staff at the resort were all very friendly. Crystal was very responsive, kind and helpful. It was a great stay!

Overall, pleasant experience with this stay. Imagine staying in a hotel room with a do no disturb sign for the duration of your stay, and that is what you will get here. Some unexpected surprises like a beach front wedding and loud DJ 100 yards from our room the first night and the pool bar being unexpectedly closed the last day of our stay.
Unlike many beach side VRBOs I’ve experienced before, this one is connected to a resort. You’ll have access to a ton of pools, hot tubs, restaurants onsite, ect. However, outside food / beverages are also banned in the pool areas.
We used this as home base for exploring all parts of the island. You’ll be perfectly situated for that.

First time in Kauai, the room was as advertised and is what should be expected at the price point. Overall resort was a bit dated, food at the top restaurant was lousy and overpriced, pool was not heated, adult hot tub was not working, and beach is AWFUL (couldn’t even layout on it, not a nice Sandy beach as one might expect). We wouldn’t stay there again but 5 stars are for the room which was fine, not the amenities.

We had a lovely stay at this resort. It is right on the beach so we enjoyed the sunrise by the water several times. Pools were great and the grassy area is a good place for yoga or other play. Staff and restaurants were all excellent. Host was communicative and room was perfect with an ocean view from the balcony. Hope to stay here again!

Easy check in. A rental car made the whole island accessible. Resort staff was super friendly. Communication with the property manager was prompt. The lack of a Microwave limited our eating options. Be prepared it is quite expensive to eat out for 3 meals a day. We hit up Safeway for our breakfast food, alcohol and snacks.

Beautiful resort and absolutely wonderful management company. Our room was close to the ocean, but quite a walk from the parking lot. Please note that this is not an apartment, but a good sized hotel room. We enjoyed morning coffee on the lanai, watching the sunrise above the ocean. Overall, a wonderfull stay.

Although very nice beach property for a resort hotel, our Vrbo room (building 4) was very dated and small. Some paint on wall was coming off, rust in bathroom around door, and handrail was secure. Host only supplies cleaning and one coffee packet during week with an outdated coffee maker (k-cup would have been nice). Hard to make a good reccomendation since it’s just a hotel room

Great ocean view. We had everything we needed. The resort wasn’t crowded, and there are so many pool lounge areas we were never without a quiet place to hang out. At night, the Shutters lounge provided all the music and entertainment one could want!

This property is amazing it has 4 pools and 2 hot tubes. Right on the beach. I was able to get a late check out since no one had booked my room for Sunday night worked great for me because my flight was in the evening. The only thing is if you don’t have a car there is nothing in walking distance and was able to use taxis and Lyft the whole time. Was a wait for both but cheaper then renting a car.

This is a beautiful resort, our room was clean, we had a nice sized fridge/freezer and small coffee pot. There is a community microwave in an adjacent building, which was disappointing, but we managed just fine without one. Our view was wonderful; not just the ocean view but the courtyard of the resort as well. The location of the resort was also very convenient, sort of midway between the south and the northern sides of the island.
