Great location! Walk 5 minutes one direction and you watch the sunrise, walk 10 minutes the other direction and you watch the sunset with the turtles on Poipu beach.

We loved everything about this place. Sleeping in the super comfortable bed with the windows open to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, the awesome shower, the views, the kitchen, the decorations, the pool, walking to an amazingly picture perfect cove a few houses away, the kindness of our hosts (they set out a bottle of wine for our stay, gave excellent suggestions on places to see and dine and let us pet their sweet cats). This place was definitely worth the splurge. We had the one bedroom suite that was upstairs facing the ocean.

I stayed here for two nights during a solo trip. My flight was delayed so checking in was a bit late, and Cam was super understanding and made my arrival magical. First, the parking is in front. I walked in past a bunch of cute lizards running around on the porch to find Hawaiian music playing on the tv, fresh towels and Hawaiian chocolates on the bed, and fresh bananas from the garden in the kitchen. So thoughtful and welcoming. There was a print out of property rules which helped to have on hand! The property was so clean and the bed super comfortable. I felt super safe as a solo traveler. I’d suggest using one of the fans in the closet plus the ceiling fan and you’ll be cool all night.

Cozy and clean home! Smooth check-in, detailed and informative guidance on print provided upon arrival. Kind and easy-going host who is well equipped with towels, beach chairs, pool noodles, water sport boards, and snorkel gears. The kitchen is tidy and has everything you need to cook a big family meal. The backyard is lovely to host a BBQ lunch or sunset dinner. The space receives great natural lighting yet stays cool at night that AC is not needed. We enjoyed our stay!

Great location on the upper edge of high density Poipu. Lovely walks to beaches. Room with full kitchen is very comfortable & thoughtfully equipped. We were visiting friends & it was a perfect base station for our 4 day getaway.

My wife and I were here for one week and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. We especially loved the dining area. Cam was incredibly helpful when we had questions, and appreciated his prompt responses. The area was perfect with beaches within walking distances, and restaurants within a short drive. Plus, Cam had beach equipment we could borrow if we needed it. Will definitely check back in when we’re back in Kauai!

Excellent location with a private pool and hot tube that isn’t far from the property. This is a private house with the bottom story rented out to guest. You will need to be mindful of sound as it’s a traditional island house with open windows and guest next to you and above you and no AC.

I found this property to be exactly as described and loved the quiet neighborhood it was located in. The walking path is super convenient in getting around to a couple of the beaches and even to a hiking path that takes you along the southern coast. Beautiful scenery. In addition, having access to beach accessories was a nice touch. There were body boards, beach chairs, floaties, snorkels and masks, etc. Cam, the host, is very accommodating and available if you have questions or concerns while staying in the unit. Check in and check out were both a breeze.

A wonderful home base for our (too brief) stay in Kaua’i. It was nice to have our own kitchen and access to outdoor spaces. The host is a great communicator and was available for anything we needed.

Location was very good for us. We snorkeled most days at Poipu Park Beach and Lawai Beach and found very good dinners at La Spezia and Koloa Kitchen.

We loved our stay here. BBQ worked great for our ribeyes. Nice big bathroom with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Comfy bed. All the beach supplies and boogie boards we needed. We were so comfortable here. We stayed at a ‘nice’ (stuffy) Princeville condo before we finished our our trip here. I much preferred Cam’s place. Loved the kitchen. Will come back next year.

Easy check in, the host was very accommodating and responsive. Fantastic location as there are several places worth seeing only a short walk away (Shipwreck beach, the green belt, Poipu Beach Park). Nice kitchenette with full appliances and basic needs to make a frat meal at home. Bathroom was updated and the place was very clean.

We enjoyed staying in the king kam unit. We would definitely stay here again. Everything was clean. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the screened in kitchen and dining room. We had every thing we needed. The location was perfect for all the activities we did. I am glad we did not stay at a hotel in over crowded Poipu.

Our villa offered us homey hospitality! Personalized our needs-Cam, the owner, was nothing short of helping in our stay being so much more than we anticipated. The location is our favorite of the several we had stayed in previously. Walking paths, welcoming neighborhood, close beaches…definitely 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️highly recommend

This cute bungalow was perfect for the two of us. A short walk to the beach with beautiful sunrises. The beach was perfect for exploration and the condo had all the things you need for an afternoon on the beach. The bed was comfy and I loved the open air kitchen. It was perfect for breakfast and the occasional lunch when we just didn't want to leave. The outside area had loungers, table, and grill. Everything about this location was amazing.

Believe the bad reviews, we wish we would have! This "vacation rental" is an insult to its guests. I will say that again because that is the impression we had. Insulted by the state of neglect. Complete and utter neglect is evident the moment you pull into driveway. While the neighborhood is lovely, this deeply neglected house sits sadly. And once inside, the degree of neglect is even more apparent . We have lived on Kauai and we understand that rust and the occasional cockroach happen- however, the state of this place is completely ridiculous. VERY Minimal effort was put into converting this bedroom into a so called VRBO- it was extremely disappointing . As it must be for all of its neighbors. My suggestion would be to stay ANYWHERE else.

If you are looking for a easy, relatively cheep stay with a great local (Poipu is ideal for day trips to the north side and south side of Kauai), then this is the place. Property manager/owner is very helpful!

This was the best possible place to stay! There’s a path right by the house that leads u to the beach less than a 10 minute walk! I just loved it here super central point close to shops and food stores. The owner has a super cute doggo as well. :) overall I would totally recommend staying here just perfect. Even supply extra fans incase you get hot at night. I just felt so blessed to be able to stay here.

The house is located in a quite Neighborhood not far from the beach, despite all the houses around are perfectly maintained our was decadent. The room is in acceptable condition (despite pretty dirty, stained bad sheets, terrible curtains ), what is really really bad is the bathroom, i have seen something in that shape only in emerging counties. Over all looks like everything was put together just to allow to rent a room. The owner stays upstairs, the ceiling is very thin and you can hear the dog walking on the floor and people talking like they were in the same room. We paid usd 300 per night, no value for money, this room should cost a max of usd 120 and is only justified by the high cost of hotels in the area. I have no doubt about the effort as the owner left also some chocolate in the room for us and was very nice but the room is really crappy.

This suite was perfect for us! We really enjoyed having the screened porch kitchen and the direct access to the back yard. We made good use of the brand new BBQ, as well as the lounge chairs and the umbrella table (with solar lights). Location provides easy access to the greenway walkway with good access to the Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach as well as to Brennecke's and Poipu beaches. Loved being able to walk, especially to the New Year's Eve celebration that was very crowded on the Poipu Beach.

Firstly, if you are an early riser on vacation and don't spend any time in your room, this place is for you. It has everything you need, has a terrific attached lanai with a full kitchen setup, is quaintly decorated throughout with old Hawaiian stuff, and is located in a great part of Kauai. It's a little run down and a little buggy, but that just gives it some charm. We would have given it an enthusiastic 5 stars, if not for one glaring issue. We were woken up repeatedly before 7 AM by noise from upstairs. The thumping, pounding, etc. was extremely loud and went on for long stretches. We tried to spend one day "relaxing" in bed and listened to this pretty much all day. We thought it was an inconsiderate housemate but were surprised to find out it was the owner! And he had a dog/miniature pony up there, too, running back and forth after thrown toys, it seemed. I'm not sure how one would expect to get a 5-star rating when showing such disregard for renters' comfort level and expectation of a reasonably quiet place to enjoy. Yes, we understand the walls are thin in an older place, but this was not incidental, normal house noises - it was really over the top (and we even had a white noise machine running) and it was every day, as far as we could tell. So one major fly in the soup, but I will still recommend the place - the lanai setup was pretty cool and it really is equipped with everything you might need. Just bring headphones or earbuds!

Ants everywhere, we were woken up at 5am by the landlord drilling something for few minutes, the backyard feels abandoned, the place is outdated and needs a lot of love, check-out at 10am, long way from the beach, restaurants and stores. You absolutly need a car. We were falsy accused of smoking inside… BBQ from 1930 at best…

Loved the location and the kitchen/dining/back porch area. Really nice neighborhood and not too long of a walk to get down to the beach.

The first picture on VRBO shows a swimming pool. No where in the ad is there anything indicating that the pool was several blocks away, and you either had to drive or walk to use the pool. First impressions are lasting! When we unloaded our luggage, we had to navigate some stair steps, that were in bad shape and under repair, with weeds growing up through the cracks, and down a narrow hallway to our rental unit. We were looking forward to taking a dip in the pool in the backyard, but there was none to be found. There was a 6 page set of instructions. The 2nd paragraph directing us to a 5 minute walk where we would find the pool along with a lengthy instruction about how to open the pool gate and where to hang the key with the admonition that if the key was lost we would be responsible for to replace. The key was hanging in an area that sounded to me that anyone would have access to it. Actually the pool was .4 of a mile walk. The kitchen in the photo is actually on a screened in back porch and was very used looking. The only place to sit was either on the bed or at the small kitchen table. I t was very cramped. The back yard where I thought the pool was to be was not very enticing. The bed and bathroom did not appear as nice as the pictures portrayed them to be. The bed had a lumpy bedspread and worn throw pillows and there was hardly any room to turn around. There is no air conditioning, but there was a nice breeze through the bed room, but when you closed the hall door it shut off the breeze. The door would need to be shut at night because the other 2 rental units gained their access through the same hallway past the door to our rental. After assessing our rental, it was our decision to try and locate another more pleasing place to stay, which we were lucky enough to do so on such short notice. The owner lived upstairs and you could hear movement from above. All in all, we felt like this unit was not as what was advertised. After we made other arrangements, we notified the owner of our disappointment and advised him the property wasn’t anything like what was advertised. We asked in light of what we found, as opposed to what was advertised, that we be refunded our money which he refused. Would not have rented if had known about pool not being on property. The old saying “if it sounds too good to be true, then it must not be true” fits this situation.

This was the perfect spot to spend our honeymoon. The location was great -- walking distance of Poipu Beach (which was one of our favorites on the island -- go early in the morning to see the turtles basking!) and easy access to explore the west, south, and east sides of the island. The room was comfortable and it was great to have access to a kitchen and backyard. Since we were staying for nearly 2 weeks, it was also nice to be able to do laundry mid-trip, although it was sometimes difficult to find a time when the washer and dryer weren't already in use. I would 100% stay here again if we return to Kaua'i.

This property is in a terrific location for walking, hiking, swimming, beaches, dining , shopping and relaxing. Our host was friendly. and gracious …starting with a pitcher of cold water in the fridge, a box of macademia chocolates. and Hawaiian music playing when we checked in. The front porch had beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards (ok we are in our 70s and didnt use those) , pool noodles, snorkel gear and more. The kitchen was supplied with an assortment of herbs and spices and some basic cookware. … its not set up for cooking a gourmet meal but the basics are there., including an outdoor grill and an indoor electric grill in addition to a full oven and stove. The laundry room is handy and detergent is provided. The community pool , a short walk away down a beautiful Greenbelt trail, is clean and well maintained. and friendly. We even found a water exercise class held by. other residents. three times a week who invited us to join them. You do get what. you pay for however. and this property is not for everyone. You need to know what. you value for a vacation stay. The walls are thin and the house is shared with other guests, as well as the friendly owner and his dog who are upstairs. The property. is quite dated and worn but if you know that you value all the conveniences and fantastic location over privacy and new and shiny , then this is great value and I do recommend it. We had a great time here.

This bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/porch were really comfortable. I liked having nice chairs on the porch to sit outside and have my meals. At night I sat there and watched movies in my tablet while it was raining. The kitchen is well stocked, there are lots of towels for bathing and the beach. Poipu Beach is just a 15-min walk away.

December 2021
The property is a little older and not updated or modern, but the location and kindness of the host and crew can't be beat for the $. I rated "cleanliness of property" a 4 only because we found ourselves sharing our kitchen with creatures (one gecko living in broken toaster and one that liked sunning on the window sill above our dining table) and the walls are VERY thin.

This property is in an amazing neighborhood and location. Just a short walk away from the Grand Hyatt and Shipwrecks beach. This room is in a house- bottom floor has 3 different rooms/suites (this is 1/3). Top floor owner stays. Beach chairs, towels, snorkel, umbrella all provided which is super helpful. Washer/dryer in unit. Great kitchen area as well. Loved our stay

March 2021
This is a shared home but with a private room and kitchen. Cam was an excellent host. Great location.

December 2020
Host was accommodating and we enjoyed our time. It’s got a fully stocked kitchen. This is a house shared with the host and other tenants. Laundry also came in handy
