The property was lovely. The kitchen was great and there were lots of little conveniences, like beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc in the shed.The downfall of this property is the frequent visitors for maintenance/repair work. Additionally, several times we were told someone was coming that didn’t show at the time they were supposed to be there. Taking care of maintenance before guests arrive would be far more advantageous.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the Aloha House!! The spacious rooms and yard space and proximity to snorkeling beaches and shops and restaurants were all amazing!! We were supposed to be a group of 10 but ended up with 6 so we felt like royalty! However 5 couples could easily share this home, with the additional cottage and each bedroom having its own ensuite. Verandas on both the front and back of the house were well used by us, as was the hot tub! Vicki was super helpful, even arranging for our groceries to be purchased and delivered to the house on the day of our arrival as we got in to Poipu after midnight so we had at least a bit of food and drink to get us started. Overall it’s a beautiful and comfortable home. Mahalo!

We had the best week in Kauai. We came for my mom’s 80th birthday and we had 11 people total in the house and we fit just fine. The kids (ages 16, 15, 14, 13, 10) were happy to be out in the guest house and we had 6 adults in the main house, everyone was comfortable and happy. The kitchen was big enough to make our meals, we even made a Thanksgiving ham on the grill outside. We were able to walk to the beach if we were going for a quick visit or we drove the few minutes to Kiahuna beach and there was ample parking. The shopping center next door was a quick walk too. Overall it was one of the best weeks and the kids are already asking to go back next year!

The property was beautiful, clean and convenient. It accommodated our entire family and we did not feel cramped. It was well supplied with cooking implements, linens and beach items etc. The location was very convenient. Overall we were extremely pleased and would stay there again! The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to a plumbing issue that could not be resolved during our stay. Communication and attempt to resolve the matter was timely.

Accommodations were perfect for our family of 11 which included three generations. Perfect location: walk to the beach and shopping, and the mango tree were a bonus. We had one issue and response time was awesome by the property management. Could have used a second coffee pot in the cottage for our large group.

Property is in a great location for beach, golf, shopping and trips to other Kauai activities. Nicely maintained with most all amenities included. We booked the house and cottage for our family of 12 and enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend this property !

This property is breathtaking inside and out. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room in the evenings. Coffee on the front and back lanai. This beautiful home is so close to everything in Poipu, beaches, snorkeling and the historic town of Koloa. We walked to the Sheraton to catch a sunrise and saw turtles in the waves. The Athletic club was a great time for all, pool with slide and amazing pulled pork nachos, pina coladas and Mai Tais! There were also several nearby markets. Had such an amazing time. We really loved our time here and would highly recommend. It's extremely walkable to a swim/snorkel spot, sunsets every night, and a shopping area. The house is lovely, especially the landscaping. It was a great spot for our big family to gather and chill. There is also a large variety of beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, snorkel gear, etc. which was clutch. So grateful for the memories made here.

The house is nice but it could be a little cleaner. The kitchen was a bit dirty and it could use new pans (worn out frying pans). The covers and floors needed a good cleaning. The traffic noise was heavy. Also, the small adjacent cottage had a large avocado tree above and the avocados fell on the roof and made a very loud noise. Enough to wake everyone up when it happened.

My family of 11 people spent a wonderful week in Koloa at the Aloha House. The house was everything in the VRBO listing. There are 4 bedrooms in the main house, each with it's own bathroom including a shower. The cottage behind the house included a bedroom, sofa bed and bath. The kitchen was decent size and well equipped. We were impressed with the location of the house. Walking distance to beach and shopping center with nice stores and restaurants. It was a pleasure spending our week in Kauai at the Aloha House.

This house worked great for 10 people ranging in ages from 5 to 85. We rented both the main house and the cottage and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax. The kids/young adults quickly claimed the cottage and game room as their hang outs. Poipu365 was great to work with and they were responsive to our needs and requests both before and during our stay. Although the house looks great and met our needs there are a few minor things that could be improved, such as lighting but nothing major. It was nice to be within walking distance of shops and small beaches. As with most of the island there are roosters which like to make a lot of noise, even in the middle of the night. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. The house had beach equipment that we could use. In case you are travelling with someone who has mobility concerns it should be noted that there are a few stairs to get into the house and all the showers and bathtubs have to be stepped into. We all enjoyed this house and it was a great part of our vacation.

The Aloha House is the perfect solution for a large group in Poipu. The bedrooms and kitchen are up to date without losing the charm of this classic residence.The separate cottage is also perfect for a larger family or elderly guests who might require their own space.All the best beaches and restaurants are within a short drive, and shopping is within walking distance.When we did have some small issues with the management (gas for the grill), the management company was extremely responsive.I would 100% stay here again.

Unfortunately checkout was marred by an apparent miscommunication amongst property management staff which pressured my family to rush out of the home 40 minutes prior to the agreed upon checkout time.

Aloha House exceeded every one of our expectations. The location is unmatched, it was the perfect space for our family - adult children and two young grandchildren. The house was immaculate and clean. The beds were comfortable and kitchen well-stocked. The cottage was the perfect place for my daughter’s young family to escape to for naps and quiet time. The front and back porch spaces were such great places to gather and enjoy the gorgeous yard. We didn’t have any issues but appreciated quick and thorough responses to my questions. We seriously didn’t want to leave! Thank you for sharing this treasure, we will be back!

I stayed here with 3 generations of my family and we all enjoyed it. Nice kitchen, many bathrooms, and the kids enjoyed having their own space in the guesthouse. Ping pong table, boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and passes to the Athletic were all appreciated and used! Poipu beach was 3 minutes away, so we loved popping over there each day for snorkeling and turtle viewing. We would stay here again!

There were roaches EVERYWHERE, so many bugs in the house, the house pictures weren’t what the property looked like it was very old cabin like, the location was great but not clean and no windows sealed. They overcharged for a cleaning fee because there was trash to throw away and some sand on the ground. What is the original cleaning fee for then?

We paid almost $15,000 for 8 adults to sleep on 4 very very MEDIOCRE house in a good location. If that wasn't enough to make you think about the house, be prepared for the various ROOSTERS all over the property and nearby properties. Impossible to sleep 2am - 10am EVERY SINGLE DAY. Although Cockroaches are a known commodity in all tropical areas it did add to the discomfort everyone felt. Other than those issues, the house is spacious, well equipped, safe, and comfortable. We felt like for that much money they could have had comfortable beds, nice sheets and bedding, & controlled the animals in the area. No one wants to go on vacation and not be able to sleep.

This was a wonderful property. It was located close to so many attractions that we enjoyed, which allowed us to stay in the area without feeling the need to venture out beyond the Poipu area. The home was spacious and well appointed with awesome support from the staff. Vicky our host, made sure we could get into the property easily. They helped us get additional equipment we needed such as a playpen and a shower chair. We would definitely stay here again. The location was close to many activities that we enjoyed, especially the Poipu Athletic Club.

The house was wonderful. It is in a neighborhood with an apartment building looking over the hot tub and patio so there is no privacy. We had an issue with needing enough sheets for our group and the property manager was not sympathetic at all. It was 10 o'clock at night and we had no linens for the sofa bed and needed it to accomodate everyone (which they knew it was a large group). We were told no one was going to bring us sheets so just figure it out and we would have sheets the next day. Thankfully my daughter insisted and we were given the code to a storage closet and found what we needed. I was disappointed in the way that whole situation was handled. In spite of this our stay was great and everyone had a good time.

We got off to a bad start with some unresponsiveness from the host when we asked about the possibility of an early check-in, and found a couple cockroaches in the cottage bedroom. The property is clearly dated, but works well for groups that might be looking for this kind of bed set up and plan to eat out a lot. The location was great. A couple beaches are walking distances and there is a big modern shopping area. Also walking distance another positive was that the Wi-Fi was decent. Once we aired our complaints and escalated to the property manager, she was responsive, although somewhat rude. I would not come back to this place again, but I would target this general location.

This property is much better than expected. My wife and her extended family stayed here for a her 50th birthday party (e.g., Hawaii 5-0). Plenty of room on the front and back Lanais to relax and catch up with family. I deducted one star (4/5) because the house is located on a busy street with car noise, especially late night/early morning. However, it's also walking distance to amazing beaches and incredible shopping/dining.

The Aloha House is great for a large group. We had 9 with 4 couples and everyone had their own bedroom with private bath. The location is perfect! Walking distance to the sunset wall, shopping and restaurants. Old Koloa and Poipu Beach less than 5 min drive. Lots of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and for cooking. Lots of areas to hang out from front porch to back deck to game room and TV room. Enjoy your stay!

Our family of 12 really enjoyed this property. The bedroom situation, plus separate unit worked out really well for all of us. The kitchen was wonderful! It was fully stocked with everything we needed and the dining table came in handy for big family meals and games. Having laundry access was truly nice with the daily trips to the beach. The house was very clean and smelled great too! The location was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants, the Longs Drugstore just across the street, sunset viewing at the beach, and a quick drive to grocery shopping in Koloa. The family's favorite breakfast spot was "Little Fish", just down the street. We really appreciated the use of the nearby Club for workouts, basketball & swimming, too. Overall, I give this home 5 stars and would definitely stay again if we go back to Kauai.

This was an awesome property for a vacation with friends! We had 11 adults and we’re all very comfortable with all the rooms and their own full bathrooms. Very close to beach and shops. We had an incredible time. The house was immaculate, and very well stocked in kitchen and bathrooms. Hot tub was immaculate.
There was plenty of room for the whole family, 6 adults (3 couples) and 3 children (the 11 and 8 year old shared a bed-brothers) and the 4 year old had her own room!
Vicki was an incredible host, responsive and thorough, and very helpful. I highly recommend her and this property.

Let me start by saying, this place is incredible! I stayed here with my husband and some of our family for a much-needed vacation. The layout of this house is great for groups of adults as each room has a bathroom (great for families, too, just wanted to point that out). We love to cook and were not disappointed in the kitchen. It is well stocked with tools to make delicious meals. We ate dinner inside and outside on the porch, so fun! The landscaping around the front porch and the sounds of the waterfall across the street made it so lovely to relax and read on the porch in the little bit of downtime I had. The room with the ping pong table was awesome for post-dinner hangouts. We had on-going ping pong tournaments throughout our stay. The location is perfect! I could walk to the “sunset wall” for all my sunset needs – even locals gather at the wall to watch the sunset. I also walked to the nearby shopping center for a morning of shopping, walked to the delicious Anake’s Juice bar for the lovingly crafted acai bowls/smoothies/juices (seriously, lots of love goes into these things and it is so worth it!), and walked to Holoholo Grill for a really good brunch. Several mornings, we were up before the sunrise and went on shoreline hikes nearby to see the sunrise (shipwreck beach, Makauwahi Cave, etc). Our favorite place to snorkel ended up being in the cove by the Beach House restaurant, a very short drive from the house, we returned there several times. We LOVED this area, it truly had everything. You will not be disappointed!

We had the best time at the Aloha House and I cannot wait to come back and stay again. First of all, the house was steps from the most amazing sunset views. Take a left out of the driveway and walk about a hundred yards and there is a rock wall that people line up at to watch the sunset. My favorite place though was a beach less than a mile away where I swam with Green Sea turtles multiple times as well as tons of tropical fish. It was beside a restaurant called the Beach House and I would highly recommend you go. Inside the home the rooms were all spotless, my bed was comfy and I loved the traditional wood on the walls of my bedroom. The kitchen was perfect, I cooked tons of tuna and wahoo I caught on a fishing trip, there were plenty of dishes and high quality pans as well as nice knives which I appreciate. After dinner we tended to go the play room where we played ping pong and relaxed in the hot tub. We did several really killer hikes and the hot tub was key after a long day going to the top of a ridgeline. I really liked the feel of Poipu, the area around this home. During my stay we drove the entire island and toward the end I just wanted to relax at the house and the close beaches because they were better than anything else I found while visiting. I would highly recommend staying here, the location was perfect, and the house was great! The owners really took the time to make sure the fits and finishes were done correctly and everything we needed to make our stay perfect was there from the beach chairs we used daily to the spotlessness of the house on arrival.

Location...Location...Location. Tucked away from the crowds in your private garden paradise. Sit on the front porch and enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the professional landscape. Beach access, hiking, restaurants all within walking distance or a short car ride. Explore the island during the day and enjoy sunset on sunset wall in the evening. We had 6 in our group and the house was designed for large groups with plenty of privacy, your own bedroom and bath, and the kitchen is amazing for hanging out and enjoying local goodies. After a busy day on the island, we enjoyed the hot tub and the garage game room for some ping pong. The house has everything you need! We will definitely be back.
