The property was in a great location to restaurants and the beach. They provided beach equipment when we stayed such as chairs for the beach, cooler (large and small), and boogie board which was wonderful and we used quite often!

Very clean, great location. Only thing I was dissatisfied in was that the fridge would occasionally leak water. Other than that it was a great stay here, will definitely rebook in the future and recommend this place to others.

This condo is so cute! The best part was having 2 separate bathrooms for each of us to use! Thank you for leaving a cooler and beach chairs for us to use - very thoughtful! This place is very central in kehei and you can walk anywhere and get anywhere you want quickly! Thanks for having us!!

The unit was clean and has simple beach-Hawaiian decor to create an ambiance that reminds you where you are. It is on the 5th floor so the views from the elevator to the unit and your personal balcony is nice. Parking in the garage was never an issue. We didn’t use the pool but when we strolled through the grounds enjoying the gardens we could hear the laughter of children playing. The unit itself was quiet. It is stocked with necessities and is conveniently located to all the places we wanted to explore. Plus the beach is right there across the street! We would definitely stay here again.

This was a perfectly adequate rental that met our needs. It was clean and everything functioned well. However, it was a tossup between a 3 and 4 rating; 3.5 might be more appropriate. We had concerns about this listing. First, the agents Hawaii Life Vacation charged us $250 USD (over $300 CDN) for a minor change to our stay that we made 4 months in advance. Yes, we knew provision for this was in the 7 page agreement that we signed when we originally booked. However a problem at work over which we had no control necessitated the change. They were absolutely inflexible about this charge despite several emails regarding it. To charge this kind of money for something that took a few mouse clicks to change is ridiculous. It should be mentioned in the listing itself, as once you receive the contract and read it, you've already decided to rent and onerous fees like this should be known in advance. We've booked on VRBO many times and have never seen a fee like this. Offsetting this a bit is the fact that Lara the local representative was very kind and efficient when we contacted her over a minor issue which she resolved while we were there.
Second, the suite is listed as "recently updated". That's overselling things a bit. We've stayed in several units at the Banyan over the last 31 years, and this one has the original kitchen (except for appliances and lighting) and second bathroom. They've done an update of the ensuite bathroom but there is wear and tear on furniture, flooring etc so you should expect that. There is AC in the main living area only, not in the bedroom which many units have here. The property is well maintained and pleasant and the pools are great but one final warning - many people smoke on their balconies here and we were driven inside about every other day by the smell of tobacco or something else.
Again, this unit was adequate to our needs and we had a good stay in Kihei but be aware of some of the realities of this rental.

My wife and I arrived on a Friday and left the following Friday and this was the perfect place for a couple to spend a week in Maui. It's across the street the a beach and walking distance to restaurants, shops, bars, food truck, etc. We rented a car for the week so driving to the Lahina/Kaanapali side of the island or to Kahului or up to Kula were nice short road trips. Laura was super helpful and responsive when we needed assistance with the condo itself. I shopped Maui rentals for almost a month prior to booking this one and I couldnt find a better price for a 1 bed/2 bath with wifi and washer dryer. Owner has done a great job with this super comfortable and well stocked condo. We will rent it again for sure!

This rental was perfect for our family.. had all the kitchen gadgets we needed to make quick dinners and snacks.. And also other bonuses like beach chairs and beach towels.The rental company was awesome and had great communication.It was about a 3 minute walk to a small, private-ish beach.Very satisfied with the overall experience and highly recommended staying here if you're looking for a great place to stay!!*Instacart delivers here within hours and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for an Uber.. A+++++

This was our first time at the Maui Banyan. We liked the proximity to Kamaole Beach Park ll. The pool/hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings; there were 5 new Weber grills available in the well-kept BBQ/pool area.
As for our condo we liked having two bathrooms. It was fairly well-stocked and when there was an issue with a small appliance our home host was very responsive and provided a replacement the same day.
The only kitchen criticism is that the knives were very dull and although they were plentiful, I would rather have had one or two sharp ones that would do the job.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay in the island paradise that is Maui.

Our condo had an amazing sunset/sunrise view. Better that the restaurants touting the view. the complex also had 5 Weber grills that were meticulously maintained. i am a bit of a grill snob and i have never been to a complex with grills this nice. we had a great time and the condo added exponentiallyt to our expierience.

We loved this place. It was walkable to the beach (and had chairs and a cooler we could use), walkable to town, and was a great and comfortable place to stay for the last week of the trip. It was amazing to have laundry and a fridge and some extra space after being in hotels for a week prior.

This place was clean and decor was good. It was great for us because it offered 2 bathrooms (both had showers). The kitchen was stocked with a variety of items to cook with. The A/C was tricky to operate and extremely noisy the first 2 nights, but my husband (AKA McGyver) managed to correct the noise AND make it cool better than the previous 2 nights. I liked that they had beach chairs and an ice chest along with beach blankets. I’m used to sleeping on a king size bed and this room could easily accommodate that size. I would stay there again in the future when returning to Maui.
