This 1400 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home boasts a magnificent WRAP-AROUND LANAI with an unobstructed oceanfront view encompassing the islands of Molokai & Lanai. The second floor location is ideal for watching whales, viewing Kahana Bay or enjoying an evening beverage while watching a magnificent Maui sunset. This home is on the buildings quiet side, allowing you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean, while relaxing on the lanai or in the master suite.

Each bedroom features an en suite bath and separate vanity area. There is also a fully updated half bath adjacent to the living area.

The Royal Kahana Resort is located on the beautiful West Coast of Maui in Kahana and is surrounded by Maui's spectacular natural beauty. The lobby has an on-sight CONCIERGE DESK located in the large sitting area, enabling you to book all your fun activities! Lounge at the oceanfront pool deck, barbecue poolside, or whale watch from the private lanais (in season). Our unit is an excellent choice for families or couples wanting a comfortable unit with great views and amenities, and most importantly-value!

Just steps away awaits an ocean of recreation. With our prime oceanfront location, the Royal Kahana offers swimming, snorkeling, & wave paddling in the sparkling Pacific waters that splash its shoreline, just a quick ride down the elevator & out the lobby door. You can swim in the pool or sun yourself on the deck, or on the spacious lawn fronting the building.

Dan and I represent several homes at the Royal Kahana, this particular home is owned by a dear friend, Heidi.

*Beach information
The resort is oceanfront. The beach along West Maui can narrow drastically during months of October into April a result of northern ocean swells. Sand is then returned naturally with prevailing southern swells.

You can stay updated on our ocean front access by viewing our web page, rkmaui(dot)com, and checking the postings on the homepage. We update the postings as soon as we receive new information from the resort.

Admittedly I am not much for leaving reviews but had to for this amazing place. First time on Maui with my family of five and booked for 2 weeks. You always worry about the accommodations and locations for an expensive long vacation. Wow! Clean and plenty of room. Shelly and Dan did an awesome job with emailing us of local food recommendations and things to do. The condo was very clean, kitchen was spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen could use a few more pans but that is so minor. :). The closet has snorkels, beach chairs, and a cooler. The lanai was awesome and very close to the ocean. The beach and the pool were perfect for us. I could keep going but just book it! You won’t regret it! Thanks Shelly and Dan!

Spent two weeks at this spacious unit facing the Pacific Ocean. The whales did not fail to entertain every day! This is our 4th visit to the Royal Kahana and have already booked for next year. Our hosts, Shelly and Dan were very fast to respond to all of our questions. Love the pool, the sunrises and sunsets. Cannot beat the view! The Royal Kahana was built c.1975 so it’s not boasting the latest and greatest, but the value is excellent.

RK210 is a nice 2 bedroom 2.5 bath condo. It easily fit our family of 5(kids 19,14 & 12). The unit was clean and supplied with the necessities. The Hosts, Dan & Shelly were great to work with. They respond quickly and provided very helpful and detailed information. The wrap around lanai is definitely the gem of this space. It's a front row seat to stunning sunsets and even some impressive sunrises. The living room and connected dinning area also provide a very free moving, open environment. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws, totaling 13 people and everyone was very comfortable. The only con I would say is the kitchen is a tight, small galley that is kind of separated from the rest of the space. It has an electric coil stove and just so so cookware and utensils. We have a higher standard than most when it comes to kitchens so I am not trying to knock it. We just don't eat out as much as we cook and utilize the kitchen space. Also, the AC works great! Everyone at Royal Kahana was very friendly and helpful. Unlike many places the parking lot was expansive and easy with plenty of open space for visiting guests. The pool area is great. The BBQ grills are new and very clean and well kept. We truly enjoyed our 8 nights in RK210 and will definitely keep it on our list for future trips. Thank you

While the property is showing some wear, it didn’t distract from our stay at all. On our next vacation to Maui, we won’t hesitate to stay here again. The property was very clean when we arrived and is supplied with all the essentials. The view and the large lanai is what makes this property so awesome. The hosts were great to work with and responded quickly to any questions we had. All things considered, we give this property a 5 out of 5.

Everything was great, property was right off of the main highway and everything we wanted to see was easy to get to. Amazing beaches and great food. I would definitely recommend this place for a family vacation.

My family really enjoyed staying here, the views are breathtaking, the condo has everything you need from beach toys for the kids, to beach chairs and the pool on property is very well cared for. We will be back!

We all enjoyed our stay at the Royal Kahana #210. The location was great and close to all the amenities. The ocean view from the main living room was amazing. Both Shelly and Dan were in constant contact throughout our stay and provided all the necessary information about the place as well as suggestions for activities nearby. We will definitely consider staying at the Royal Kahana again and will recommend the place to anyone else who will be travelling to the Maui area.

This property is really old and tired. Such a shame since it has a premier position. It was really dirty to the point of filth. Upon arrival, I had to clean one of the bathrooms myself since the cleaners had missed it completely. Shelly was very magnanimous and refunded me the cleaning fee. It is not her fault that the cleaners are not thorough. The bamboo furniture is fine but it simply needs new cushions since the foam is clearly old and crushed thin. I had my newlywed son and DIL take the master bedroom. The window and screen facing the beach was filthy. I took the "children's" twin bedroom. What a nightmare. The mattresses and box springs were so bad that the springs stuck you and made noises when you turned. Really cheap and nasty. The sheets were as well. The closet mirrors and all the sliding windows had not been cleaned. There was no bedside lamp so I had to borrow from the master bedroom and no overhead light. The room is very, very dark. Also, it is odd that the dark bedroom had louvered windows directly onto the outside corridor. If they have to have a window for fire purposes, I think a double-glazed, sound proof window would be better. The screen doors need replacement one has a hole down the side. Since you go out to the patio all the time for the beautiful view, you struggle to open them and they come off the track. The sliding windows were equally difficult to open. When I moved a chair there was potato chips under it. Again, no fault of the owner but I did vacuum several times. The carpet is filthy and we did not go barefoot on it. Oddly, you do need the blackout curtains at one point during the day. They are tired and not attractive. The kitchen was functional. The frying pan is warped (uneven cooking) and needs to go. The spatula needs to go since it is not strong enough to carry an egg. The dishes and glasses were uninspiring. The bathrooms are old, rusty and moldy. Basically, this place needs a complete refurbishment. It needs new windows, new bathrooms, new floors, new curtains, paint (or wallpaper would be fun). New kitchen--create an island and replace the stove. It is a shame that this place is in such dire need of a complete overhaul since the position is so luxurious. The state of the condo does not match the view. The sandbags are odd and ugly and there is no direct access to the beach. All in all, not good value for money with all the fees that are tacked on.

I went with 2 other women as part of a girls trip. The view and the lanai were the highlight of the property. We watched turtles and whales every day. The beds were comfortable and living room furniture was modest. Big bonus having a full size kitchen and fridge so we didn’t have to eat out every day. The only drawback was the AC unit. The fan was working but wasn’t spitting out cold air due to a problem that occurred last month. Luckily the couple fans and keeping the doors opened at night helped a bit. Location was great though. We will definitely stay again at Royal Kahana!

Most amazing lanai on the second floor spanning three directions. From there watching surfers, whales and turtles almost made it so you didn’t have to leave the property. Access to great nearby beaches were a plus. Would return here in a heartbeat 💗

THE BEST condo in the resort. The condo is directly above the lobby, directly above the water, literally twenty-five feet from the lanai. The main bedroom overlooks the water. The second bedroom has no view and its opaque tiltable windows overlook the hallway, but don't let that bother you -- the second couple with us found the room very acceptable. The HVAC worked very well, especially when we left the bedroom doors opened a crack to facilitate good airflow. The unit has two HVAC units, so honestly, you could hang meat in this unit (but please don't). The living room is very comfortable, room for everybody to have their own comfy chair while grandpa naps on the sofa. The kitchen is tight, but hey, the restaurants in Lahaina and Ka'anapli serve better food than you could cook anyway. The grounds of the resort are very small, so do not expect that you are going to promenade around the grounds. Like all the beaches from Ka'anapili up north through Kahana, the erosion of the sand has required the resorts to sandbag their oceanfronts, so you cannot walk along the shoreline here or nearby. There is a small park within walking distance from where the locals head out to surf, but the beach area is not suitable for you to pitch your chairs and umbrella for an all-day sit. Also within walking distance is a brewpub, a deli, a sushi place, and Mickey D's. Even closer is Snorkel Bobs (get the best gear from Bob!) Compare the nightly fees of this condo to the major Ka'anapili resorts. You will pay much less here plus get a better view and a bigger suite than at the Hyatt, Marriott or Sheraton. Yeah, there are no penguins and parrots in the lobby, and you will need to limit your MaiTai intake at the luau because you need to drive home, but on balance, this condo wins in nearly every category!

The condo is lovely! Nice size with a gorgeous deck. The view is incredible. We saw multiple whales, as well as turtles and fish. Could have sat on the deck for the entire week. Nice location to a few restaurants and fresh food market. Close drive to Lahina. Only issue was the condo grounds. Tennis court was unusable and didn't see a shuffle board as pictures promised. Guest bathrooms by the pool were closed much of the week. Disappointed the poolside snack/drink bar was only open a few hours each day, and basically only had smoothies. In spite of that, we would definitely stay there again!

Dishwasher not working; master bedroom leaked water during rainstorm (windows were closed), carpet along outside wall all wet; master bedroom bathroom tap leaking; kitchen amenities lacking - not pot scrubber, no sugar. Grounds in bad state of disrepair. Mattresses were not great; bed sheets did not fit properly, always popping off the corners at night. Washing machine ridiculously noisy as was the air conditioning. Unit is clean, spacious and functional but overpriced in comparison to Ko Olina Beach Tower units (Oahu) which we stayed in the week prior. Depending on what else you want to do on the Island, daily traffic congestion can be problematic.
