This property is beautiful! The inside is clean, updated and very spacious. Our favorite was the lanai/patio which was private and had a beautiful view of the Pacific. The location in Princeville is convenient and close to several restaurants and a grocery store. The drive to Hanalei Bay is also very easy from here. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Awesome! The beautiful of Kauai is exemplified by this location with stunning views, waterfalls, oceanfront, amazing sunsets. The unit is beautifully furnished and has a nice lanai that extends to the common grass area of the complex. The owners were also very accommodating to work with. 5 Stars!

Thank you Steve and Janet for a wonderful stay! Your home is lovely and we had everything we needed for our 12 night vacation - really comfortable beds with plenty of pillows, a fully stocked kitchen, and expansive living areas. The lanai was where we were most of our time at the condo - beautiful sunsets, and a fantastic view. An ideal spot for north shore exploring. Mahalo!

We had a great time in this Princeville apartment!
Went with my husband at 14 year old daughter.
It was gorgeous!
The apartment was spotless when we arrived. Kitchen has everything you’ll need. The oven and dishwasher seemed brand new.
We didn’t spend much time inside, except sleeping, but there are two living rooms with large windows/patio doors.
Loved the ground floor and the possibility to walk straight out to the pool.
We bbq’ed at night at would watch the whales jump and the surfers surf.
Hideaway beach are steps away - the hike down is not recommended for the typical grandparent - but we loved it!

The property is dated overall though this actual unit has been upgraded. The grounds are kept lovely and it is a perfect spot for getting to hotel 1 for breakfast or cocktails or into Hanalei-,5-7 min drive. You do have to go down 2 Sets of stairs to get to ground floor unit - once you get there the unit is open and there is a beautiful lanai that most units do not have. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. The only frustration at first was no AC (don’t remember seeing that in listing) but it was not an issue with the temps we had during our stay. In fact a few nights we could have used an extra blanket. I do wish the couches were a bit cleaner (in and out) and the blinds/fans were dusted since we have allergies; also a few cobwebs throughout the unit- so why I gave a lower cleanliness score. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this location and unit.

We had a great stay. Home was clean and beautiful. Owner was very responsive to any questions.
We especially enjoyed the snorkel equipment and beach chairs. The biggest hurdle for us 60+ year olds was the trek to Hideaway beach. The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling phenomenal but the trail is a bit challenging. I would recommend this property.

Poor experience. Very dirty place (mold stains on shower curtain, dirty towels, mold on washing machine). small bedroom doesn’t really have a queen bed but a smaller and uncomfortable one. But the biggest thing was the host, when we reached out with these complaints and asked for compensation she became extremely rude and called us liars. Would not recommend staying here unfortunately

As another reviewer stated, the pictures don't do this place justice. We loved the open layout, plenty of room to spread out. Views were awesome and really liked be able to walk directly out onto the bluff from the covered patio. Spent lots of time on the patio, relaxing and having meals. Great surf and snorkeling right in front of the unit. The only room for improvement would be the mattress in the 2nd bedroom. Was very firm, perhaps a pillow topper would help. Otherwise we loved this place and definitely would re-book..

We have been coming to Kauai for the past few years and really enjoy staying in Princeville. This accommodation specifically has a great view of the ocean and all of the amenities you need to feel at home. The condo was clean when we arrived and the host was always available if we had questions. I definitely recommend this spot if you are planning a trip to the island.

This condo will wow you when you walk in. Clean, spacious, nicely decorated….my family loved it. The location on the north shore is beautiful. A bit of a drive to the activities on the south side but loved it up here. Good views everywhere you turn. Hope we get to come back in the future!

This was a wonderful property. The indoor living spaces were spacious, the kitchen was well appointed, the beds were comfortable, and the outdoor lanai, with red sectional couch, looking out toward the water, was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

After carefully choosing this location, the drive into the property was like entering a dream! This location is the BEST, walking distance to Hideaways Beach, golf, Princeville center that offers everything that you need for your stay. The condo itself is extremely spacious, clean, well appointed and quite amazing. There are even flocks of Nene birds that just enhanced our stay. The sunset views are perfection! If you like to cook, the kitchen is huge and has everything you need. The lanai is the place to be. Easy check in process and communication. We will be booking out next stay here very soon, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you so much .

We had an ok experience at this property, which is in a lovely condo complex with a gorgeous view and great quick walks to beautiful beaches. But, we found the apartment to be very hot (there is no air conditioning, there was little to no cross-breeze, and many of the fans provided were dirty or broken) and not properly cleaned (sheets that had to be washed before using, dirty dishes in cabinets, thick dust in corners). There was also loud construction going on (contrary to what I had been told) and a large "danger zone" sign guarding the stairs down to the apartment, where construction materials were strewn everywhere.
I would probably not have been bothered by any of these things as much if Janet hadn't gone out of her way to be hostile and rude, calling me names and harassing me when I inquired about the temperature and fan situation. After a long and exhausting flight, I also locked myself out of the apartment, and her cohost was very helpful arranging to get us back in, and I thanked him profusely, so perhaps it was just a bad day for her. We would return to the condo complex, but not this apartment.

We just returned from a 10 day trip. It was actually our second time staying at Puu Poa, and first time in this unit. It was lovely! Pictures are accurate - the home is comfortable, well appointed, an all around great property.

This is an over-the top, amazing place to stay in Princeville. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated, and the ocean views can’t be beat. The condo was well stocked and had everything we could have wanted. Although there is no AC, the trade winds and fans made the unit comfortable.

We had a wonderful vacation at Puu Poa and love this property. The Owners communicated quickly and it had all the amenities as promised. We loved the openness of the layout and the kitchen had all the necessary tools. The interior is nicely decorated and it’s easy to make yourself right at home and relax! The quick hike to Hideaway Beach for snorkeling and watching the beautiful sunset makes this property the best !

This unit is large and beautiful. The pictures really don’t capture just how spacious it really is. Views of the ocean and sunset are unobstructed. We had excellent weather and no insects to speak of. It is a very quiet condo complex and I’m sure people heard our 2yr old son, but we couldn’t hear any other noise except for a few doors closing in units above. The little guy loved the pool. However, I recommend disregarding the signs and enjoying Hideaways Beach. It is a challenging, but rewarding hike to a mostly shaded beach with excellent snorkeling.
The only major downside of this location is that for the next few months (yr?), the main road is only open periodically due to construction and this makes traffic and nearby dining an arduous process. My only suggestion would be to have a floor plan posted with the listing (to better understand sleeping arrangements with the kiddo). There were also a few minor items that could be addressed such as loose cabinet panels by the water heater and to fix the second shower head in the master bath (only cold water). I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again.

This is such a beautiful property and we were so glad we chose it. It is even more beautiful than the pictures show. And having the large lanai to sit and sip coffee in the morning or watch the sunset at night was just incredible. Access to Hideaway Beach is fabulous, though the trail is tricky. It was the best snorkeling beach we found. Saw so many fish and sea turtles. Highly recommend this beautiful place.
