Condo was perfect! Clean, and easy to access the room key/code on arrival. Well stocked with supplies and utensils needed for the kitchen. Nice balcony setup. Excellent views, sea turtles. Beach supplies were nice, chairs, umbrella, etc.. beach was private, and not crowded at all. If you like to be out of the city in a less crowded area you will love it here. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I wanted to go somewhere special for our anniversary. The fact that my daughter lives in Makaha Valley made the decision a slam dunk. We found a room at the Hawaiian Princess and couldn’t have been happier. Extraordinary beach and location made this the perfect spot to stay. Gorgeous sunsets, whale watching, spectacular surf… you name it it’s there. We are already looking forward to going back. Mahalo ❤️🏝️☀️❤️🌊🌈🏝️

Beautiful waterfront view in a secure complex. We sat on our balcony each morning drinking coffee watching the whales spouting/spraying and tails slapping. It was an amazing way to start the days. Everything about the stay was great.

My family and I had an amazing time at this condo. Kathy and Mike were outstanding hosts, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and needs were met. The view from the lanai is unbeatable, and it’s something we will never forget. We also enjoyed how the beach was not crowded at all. If we ever find ourselves back in Hawaii, we will be staying here.

My incredible boyfriend surprised me with a 2 day getaway to this romantic beachfront condo!!! Of course the best part was spending alone time with him but the next best thing was the breathtaking ocean and sunset views from your own private lanai! The water is a beautiful clear turquoise blue, perfect for a morning spent drinking coffee and spotting sea turtles from the fully furnished lanai. Both the indoor and outdoor furnishings have a lovely island-influenced flair, which added to the charm of the condo. There is an onsite pool, hot tub, and outdoor grilling area for guests to enjoy. The condo also provides a small kitchenette, queen sized bed, and big screen TV for downtime. Although the condo is equipped with central air, we preferred to fall asleep with the lanai doors open so we could hear the lullaby of the ocean and feel the cool gentle breeze. The customer service from the staff was exceptional. Although Hawaii has a heartbreaking homeless problem, we felt safe and secure under the watchful eye of the staff. This is a great place for a couples seeking romantic vacation or honeymoon. I can't wait to go back!!!

We weren’t prepared for the homeless camps all up/ down the beach. There are 3 visible from our balcony, although not technically on the property itself. The surrounding area is very rundown. O’ahu has changed since the last time we were here and not for the better. Very sad.

The unit itself was excellent and offered everything we needed. It needed some minor attention in a couple of areas, but overall was very nice. View of the ocean and the surrounding mountains was breathtaking. Unit is very secure with gated access and security to the property to get onto the elevators and access to the pool and beaches was nice.
Owners provided beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel, boogie boards, towels, plenty of linens and kitchen needs.
The negative was for a few miles leading up to the condo, there were homeless people living along the beaches in tents and broken down vehicles. We were never bothered by any of the homeless people, but we were on extra guard during our time away from the condo.
We would not stay here again, because of the homelessness, which the owner cannot control. If the property was elsewhere, we would for sure stay in it again.

The condo is beautiful - as advertised - with great amenities for the beach. We love the Princess and stay there every time we're in Oaho. Nothing is better than the aloha of Oaho and the wonderful Hawaiian people.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in this beautiful condo! We LOVED it! Impeccably clean, quiet location, safe & secure, great drive up/down the coast to get back/forth to Honolulu to see sites there, and do views of the ocean or sunset get any better?!? I enjoyed snorkeling and seeing lots of sea life, including turtles. Owner and host Kathy was also exceptional in communication and hospitality. Book it! We'll be back!

The condo unit is great! Has everything you need. It is lovingly maintained, and comfy and cozy. Nice new appliances.
Note there is no dining/breakfast table, and the bar stools are the wrong height (counter vs bar), so only place to sit for a meal is on the balcony.
Otherwise, it is perfect for a quiet retreat.
The neighborhood outside the condo is pretty awful. Tents everywhere. Rundown shops, lots of sad poverty to look at on your drive. Nothing nearby to do, and not a neighborhood you'd want to still around. As long as you are prepared for it mentally, it won't affect your stay. The condo itself felt very secure, like a little happy bubble.

This place checked all the boxes for us: away from the crowds of Honolulu, amazing ocean view, incredible uncrowded beach, balcony to watch beautiful sunsets, close to great hikes (drove north 'til the road ended and hiked up the coast to the Northwest end), pickleball (lines painted on the tennis court with portable pickleball net/loaner paddles/balls at the office), grocery store and restaurants nearby, clean beautiful unit, very well equipped (used the beach chairs almost everyday, had all the kitchen items needed to make a few meals).
We had an amazing vacation and hope to visit again soon!

Host is great. Place is great. Beach is great. Area and food options within 10 miles not the best but there are options. These are local eateries without views or ambience but they have good food. The views from the room are awesome. Sunsets are awesome!

This place is great if you are looking for great views from your balcony and a quiet relaxing beach. The unit was very clean and nicely stocked, and communication with the owner was great. I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a nice place outside the usual tourist areas (though you can still drive to Waikiki or the North Shore in about an hour!).

Perfect condo for a couple with a beautiful view. Best stocked condo I've ever stayed at (coffee, condiments, towels are behind the bedroom door). Parking lot is gated. Kathy was very responsive to any questions. It was a drive from Honolulu and traffic could be very time-consuming a times, and we actually liked being away from the city. Pics are accurate except there are some homeless at the large outcropping by the beach, but you'll find this all over Oahu. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was very nice, great view and the beach was fabulous. The one thing is as a renter to a beach house it would have been nice to have beach towels on the premise, also, for 2 people having more than 2 bath towels 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth would have been nice. It is a non smoking facility but our neighbors on the 11 floor were heavy pot smokers so we had to keep the balcony doors closed for a lot of the time we stayed on site. The bar stools were so short that you couldn't eat at the counter without standing. All in all, it was a great vacation and loved the beach.

RAVE REVIEW HERE! Hubby and I stayed here for 5 nights and wish we had booked longer. The condo was very clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture, and the King sized bed was plush with thick, soft sheets. There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and living-room which we enjoyed using to stay comfortable. The fridge is better than ours at home with a big ice bin and it was easy to prepare our meals. The best part, of course, is the view and the beach! We travelled all over Oahu during our 3 week visit, and the beach outside of the condo is PERFECTION! It was never crowded and even though we had lots of rain during our stay, we could enjoy the beauty of the waves and mountains from the lanai. Be warned that though the hot tub is hot, the pool is not heated and we found it uncomfortable to swim in. Both are salt water so no chemicals are needed. The host Kathy was wonderful to work with and goes above and beyond to provide an excellent experience for her guests. Yes, there are a few visible homeless encampments on the south side of the rocky outcropping but no one ever bothered us. The property is secure behind a gate and fencing. A key fob must be used to access the elevator, pool, and grills. Other guests were very friendly and gave us tips on local life which was helpful. There is a small grocery store about 10 min drive, and several restaurants nearby. We cooked all of our own meals but ate out at The Beach Club on our last night. That was great too! If we visit Oahu again we will book this condo. Avoid Honolulu and crowded beaches!!! Do not hesitate - this condo is worth the price.

This was such a great stay, the room was perfect. Everything we needed was there, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, towels both beach and bathroom, beach chairs, umbrella. Its the little things-such as instructions on using the TV remote controls. Having a washer and dryer in your room was much appreciated, being able to wash your clothes before you travel back home is amazing. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Kathy’s condo. Everything was clean and well maintained. The appliances seem to be nearly brand new and our needs were certainly met.
The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, overlooking a beautiful sandy beach.
Communication with Kathy was easy and fast. I certainly recommend this property!

We have stayed at many vacation rental properties in Hawaii. All were nice, but always fell slightly short of expectations, ants in the bathroom, inadequate a/c, road noise, etc. When we walked in to this condo, we knew we finally had found what we had been looking for, stunning views and quiet beach, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and countertops, and what a view. Perfection in Paradise. Makaha is on the west side of Oahu and may not be for everyone, but it’s a great way to balance the Waikiki tourist destination with a more authentic Hawaii experience.

I would have given this property a 4 or 5 but the description said beach equipment included. There was one pad. There is no shade on the beach in the afternoon. Most other renters had beach chairs and an umbrella provided. We would have spent time every day at the beach if we had an umbrella and a couple of inexpensive chairs. This was very disappointing. We bought mask, snorkels and fins since they were not provided.

This vacation condo is spotlessly clean, well appointed, convenient to get to and, best of all, has a panoramic view of the ocean and sits on what is basically a private beach. A grocery store and a few simple restaurants are a short drive away but note this is not a tourist-y area, so local amenities are limited. This was a 'plus' for us and we enjoyed the quiet and low-key atmosphere. Highlight was a hike to Ka'eana Point with beautiful views from within a wildlife sanctuary.

I don't typically "review" - may have never done it before, actually. But I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect place for my wife and daughter and I to stay during our first visit to Hawaii - AND THIS WAS IT. The condo itself is great - 13th floor, spectacular view of the ocean, sunsets, and the beach below. And by the way, the beach is marvelous. Bordering on private, never crowded, great sand and surf. The condo was comfy and pleasant, had everything we needed, and the owners take care of their business. The town outside is local and a bit gritty -- which we actually liked rather than the touristy hustle of Honolulu. And even at that the condo is gated and well-protected, as is access to the beach. I lived in fear of renting a place that didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be. Well, no worries about that. If you want a condo overlooking a great beach, spectacular sunsets, a great lanai, a beach where you are not elbow-to-elbow with every other visiting tourist to the island (and honestly...a better beach in many ways!), this is the place for you. (And yes, you CAN hear the surf 13 floors up - incredible!) We didn't want to leave, and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Our family stayed here for over a week, had a wonderful time. Nice clean condo, several amenities, amazing view! Every morning we had breakfast on the lanai and could see dozens of turtles swimming in the ocean Very uncrowned, complex several days my kids had the pool to themselves, very nice BBQ grill and picnic spot we barbecued dinner. Friendly staff. The beach was great. Very quiet and un crowded we spent a lot of time snorkeling there, down the street 5 minutes there was a shop that rented surf boards, body boards and stand up paddle boards we also used. We would dedfenently stay here again !!!

We enjoyed every minute! The view is something you have to see for yourself!! We saw dolphins, sea turtles, manta ray and a monk seal all from our lanai! Our condo was clean and had all the amenities you need for a happy long stay. Wifi and cable was a plus too! Thank you so much Kathy our stay was perfect!
