BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui’s rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them.

IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

How can it be better to feel and hear the ocean at all times. Easy to get to and proximity to great beaches and highway. Yet very quiet. Impressive in all regards. Condo itself is clean but a little dated. The bedroom needs a new ceiling fan and it would be awesome. Thank goodness for the stand alone fan. Ac works great but does not cool bedroom in the rear we’ll even with the fan. We found tge evening breeze and fans were much more pleasant and effective. Nice plus beach chairs and umbrella👍. Well equipped but limited food storage space we ended up using the island to hold our non fridge items. Not a deal breaker by any means. Loved early am coffee and supper on lanai. My wife and I enjoyed watching the sun disappear nightly from the front deck area. Also very good whale watching and we even treated to a couple days of evening surfing as it had a unusual large swell on our visit. The bad was not functioning dishwasher again not a deal breaker but we were never told it wasn’t functioning prior to arrival and the management company informed us they knew. So that would have been nice so we didn’t fill it and screw around trying to figure it out when it was needing replacement. I did receive a call from some appliance of repair place about measuring up for a new one. So hopefully it’s fixed. The one burner on the stove did not work ( front left) , even after the repair man supposedly came on our last day stay. No drain for the kitchen sink seems bad idea to not have one without a working dishwasher. Was requested day 1 never saw one. I can’t say the property manager wasn’t responsive they did via text quickly but not much was done other then reply. Would I stay again Yes. It’s location makes up for the miscues. Mahola

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and this condo fit our budget for a two week stay. The area is somewhat walkable and there are a few amenities such as a fresh fish market, convenience store, grocery, snorkel rentals, etc, all within just a couple blocks. Beach access is easy however there is no direct access at the condo property. There were a few things about the condo we didn't care for and a few maintenance needs. Fortunately the property is quiet but you will still be woken a time or two or three by passersby walking to or from there own condos. With the windows all open, highly recommended, the voices sound like they are in the same room, the bedroom is right at the walkway, not very private. People can also see right in unless you close the drapes which also eliminates any breeze. The condo will get really hot if you don't manage it and then it's still hot. We decided to leave the front door open 24 hours in addition to all the windows, this finally gave us some relief. The security door is screened so it's safe. There is AC but it's not very effective and won't cool the bedroom at all. Keep everything open all day is our advice. The bedroom ceiling fan was stuck on low which was a bummer. The living room ceiling fan wabbled so much we were forced to leave it on low. Both of these problems contributed to the heat and discomfort, we did not experience any significant cross breeze in the unit for the most part, wishful thinking. This building is older and not heat resistant at all. A few other annoyances, bedside lamp did not work, even with new bulb, shower door leaks pretty good, the AC was too loud for our tastes and not worth running. Overall, the condo is a little dumpy. Last negative, the listing clearly stated and may still state, "pool.". When we called about the access code we were told our unit did not include access. Definitely a bummer. Some pluses, beach toys including snorkel gear and location. We would not stay here again but it did fit the budget for this trip.

Great location: food trucks a couple blocks away open in evenings with lots of great food, nearby shopping area has a good Hawaiian fast-food place with excellent oxtail soup, going north there are many beaches for playing in the waves and snorkeling, and some beautiful overlooks (Nakalele Blowhole is a nice place). Great place :-)

Great location: food trucks a couple blocks away open in evenings with lots of great food, nearby shopping area has a good Hawaiian fast-food place with excellent oxtail soup, going north there are many beaches for playing in the waves and snorkeling, and some beautiful overlooks (Nakalele Blowhole is a nice place). Great place :-)

This was a great condo and excellent location. Condo as well cap and had all the amenities we needed to have a great trip. Literally walked down the sidewalk and you’re at the ocean for amazing views and sounds. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was huge and all the appliances were great. Overall an exceptional stay

Clean and RIGHT beside the ocean. Really friendly unit owners around to hello and welcome. The sound of the ocean is amazing at night. Having a kitchen on a Hawaiian vacation is so helpful to Keeping within budget and there are multiple grocery stores walking distance from unit. We also walked to Lots of different beaches, Maui Brewing Company and loved that snorkel gear was included for us to use!

The building is older, but the inside has been updated and was clean and very comfortable with amazing sunset views!! Water access is a little difficult, but with so many beaches that are close it was not an issue for us at all. It was wonderful having the fish market and deli right across the street.

The property is as described and has a great view and very functional. It is very convenient/central for things in that area. However, the day before our arrival I had to ask for the details of the property as they were never sent. Upon arrival, the apartment was dirty and had not been cleaned. Prior guests dirty bedding and towels piled up. In the light of Covid-19, I would think that there would be some sort of check system to be sure the place was actually cleaned. It was hard to get in touch with someone and I had to wait for a response. We then had to go to another property for the night. This was problematic for several reasons. We had to haul our luggage back to the car. I have a toddler who is autistic and was disoriented already from travel and we had to change plans which dysregulated her further and made the night very difficult. We could not enter the apartment again until 10am the following day, but had to check out of the new property by 10am. This means that not only was our whole evening taken up by the disaster when we arrived because they do not allow check in until 4pm, but our next morning was taken up too. We could not go and do anything because our car was filled with our belongings and did not want to risk our car being broken into if we went somewhere. We had to wait around until 10 am. So essentially one whole day was wasted due to this mess. I was refunded for the evening, but felt that there should have been some additional compensation for not only the extreme trouble after very long travels, but all of our time that was wasted. We spoke with the manager of the property, and she was very apologetic and told us she would call us back after she investigated to see if there was anything else additionally she could do, but of course we never got a call back. Disappointing all around.
