Make sure you rent a small car to stay here. I had a big SUV and it got 3 door dings parking there. The parking really sucks.

The property is as described and functioned well for our family.
Parker was an attentive and helpful host who communicated well and offered great local information before and during the trip. We took many of the recommendations offered and were not disappointed with any of them (do the Blue boat and Blue helicopter tours if you can - both are amazing).
Property is in a good central location for day trips to other areas, and we enjoyed being able to walk down the short/easy path to the beaches. We really appreciated the boogie boards and chairs etc. - they just made things easy to enjoy.
The in-person views are better than what pictures can capture... and the sound of the surf is the best we have ever experienced.
My only regret is that car rental upgraded me to a larger car and it was hard to park in the smaller spots that are commonplace everywhere on Kauai and this location -- not a criticism of the property, just a note for anyone reading this and considering a larger car!

This was a very good location for our stay in Poipu. Nice accomodations with an amazing ocean view. My brother-in-law especially liked watching the sea turtles swimming in the waves near the poolside.

We loved our stay here in September 2023. The unit was tastefully laid out, with a kitchen ready for even the most ambitious chef, and in a wonderful location for both the view and proximity to the beach and food/drink/conveniences. The A/C kept every room as cool as we liked and made for a good night's sleep. Parker was a superb host and proactively kept us informed on check-in/check-out processes; we felt very well taken care of. We will absolutely stay here again!

The condo was spacious. Bathrooms were a bit small but adequate. Had everything we needed including beach chairs and towels. We were thankful for the a/c because we had some hot days. Main bedroom had a great view with a very comfy bed. Pool was great. The view from the balcony was amazing. We saw turtles almost everyday!

You can’t beat the location and view of this property! We walked to the beach and dinner and the location is convenient to everything else! We spent so much time on the balcony watching the waves hit the shoreline. It’s so impressive!
My only negative is that the inside could use a deep clean/updating. It definitely could just be a one-off for our time, but the view and sounds of waves crashing made up for it.

We had a great stay on Poipu shores! There was plenty of room for our family of 5, the views were incredible & the property was clean! The location was safe & secure as well as exclusive to guests only on the property. We were also provided with host ‘extras’ including local tour, hiking & dining recommendations!

This property was fantastic!!Loved the ocean front location and unobstructed views. Easy walk to the beaches for boogie boarding, snorkeling and turtle gazing. A/C was appreciated after days spent hiking. Parker provided great recommendations and we appreciated him checking in to make sure all was well. Parking was tight but not an issue when you are in paradise. Would love to return in the future.

Great oceanfront location in a nice condo complex! The oceanfront sounds and views were priceless. Beach chairs and boogie boards were a great addition and one less thing we had to worry about while we were there! We had a few questions for the property manager, one (where to find linens for the one pull out) answered and addressed very quickly but I’m still awaiting a response to both text and email regarding a bug infested coffee maker that we ended up replacing because we need our coffee when our feet hit the ground in the morning. All in all this is an absolutely beautiful location close to amazing beaches. Closer attention spent on cleanliness (brown stain on shower curtain right next to toilet, hand soap containers filled with water, 2 mini trash bags for an entire week) and the property managers responsiveness would definitely earn this a 5+ star review. It really is little stuff but again would make this place absolutely stellar!

The condo was nice and clean, perfect location, and comfortable. The condo had all of the kitchen essentials. Best of all was in-unit laundry machines, and near by nice beaches, and restaurants. I would stay this same condo if we come back to Poipu.
Kauai is a lovely island.

Ok, hear me out. Don't get me wrong, the location and the view are amazing. We walked in and went to the lanai and were absolutely amazed by the ocean crashing against the rocks below. After looking and watching for several minutes we went back inside and noticed how hot it was inside, so I turned on the air conditioner in the living room area, but it did not blow any air. I tried the a/c's in both bedrooms with the same results. I studied the remote for the a/c's and tried to figure it out, but nothing worked. When I messaged Parker, he was very slow to respond and ultimately told me he couldn't do anything because he was away on the mainland for the weekend and his On Island Broker was having sinus surgery. So according to Parker, it was a "Perfect Storm". He obviously knew the a/c's didn't work because there were two portable a/c's in the living room and master bedroom, but they don't work well. Eventually a family member of mine who lives 2 minutes from this condo was able to get hold of the broker (who did not have sinus surgery) and he was able to get an a/c repairman out two days later. Parker's response to the situation was horrible. I asked him for a partial refund for the two days we went without a/c since the vrbo description say a/c in every room. I didn't hear back from him. Take this into consideration if you're looking at this condo! Also, the floors were dirty. We walked around the condo barefoot and the bottoms of our feet were black!

We just spent an amazing week at 402A - it was our third visit to Poipu but our first in this condo. The pictures are accurate - the views are breathtaking. Every day we watched the sea turtles in the cove below the pool, right from the lanai. We knew there were folks in the neighboring apartments, but only because we saw shoes outside - from inside the condo, we didn’t hear anyone. In fact, the only time we heard anything, it was someone out on their lanai pointing out whales breaching in the distance! The location of the condo was perfect; we walked to the beach, to Brennekes Grill, to the Grand Hyatt and beyond on the trails. We did experience a mechanical issue during our first few days, but Parker was very quick to respond (on the weekend!) and he came up with a solution that worked perfectly for us. Parker was wonderful to work with!! We loved the little touches like a starter set up with coffee, paper goods, etc. and we appreciated the use of a safe as well. The parking lot is indeed tight, but we had no issue finding a spot each day or night in the middle lot. We didn't have much interaction with staff, but everyone we encountered, from the front office to the guys painting the railings, were very friendly. We found this to be a quiet complex in the most beautiful location in Poipu- we will stay here again!

Watching turtles and listening to the ocean from the lanai was awesome! We did see whales and dolphins too! The set up was awesome absolutely everything you would need in a kitchen. Easy walk into Poipu beach, I’d recommend a car to get around the island- hiked the canyon which was stunning… communication from Parker was great checking in with us. There’s an apartment going two floors down for $1.4 million if you would like some of this spot permanently!

This condo was absolutely perfect! Very spacious, well stocked kitchen and amenities that made it feel like home. The porch has stunning views! It was so wonderful to have a washer / dryer and air conditioning. It was so great to have beach chairs, tubes, sand toys and boogie boards, too!
We had one minor issue and the host was so incredibly responsive and it was resolved almost immediately. The communication was top notch. My only other tip would be to rent a smaller vehicle if you can as roads are narrow and parking spots everywhere seem to be narrow.
We saw dolphins, whales, sea turtles and Hawaiian monk seals right by the condo/ from the deck! This is the perfect location to walk to the beach, several delicious restaurants nearby and walking paths. (Try the puka dog place - we loved it!)
While on Kauai we enjoyed Kauai Backcountry Mountain Tubing, Smith Family Luau (amazing food and show!!!), adventures at nearby town farmers markets, snorkeling at Poipu beach at the condo, hiking Waimea canyon (leave early to be there at sunrise), surfing lessons from the surf shop near the condo (Nukumoi surf co.), relaxing at the beach and pool and visiting many other towns (e.g. Hanelei).
This is the perfect place to stay if you like to relax, explore and be fully comfortable!

Beautiful condo and well equipped for our needs. The view is spectacular! Very centrally located. The manager was very responsive. The manager let me know there were a few items he needed to take care of, they weren’t really crucial to our stay, so it was no big deal for us.

Perfect and wonderful. We really enjoyed this property—may be our favorite ever. Well equipped, plenty of towels, paper products, and well equipped kitchen.
This condo is situated above the waves that crash below it. AC works perfectly. Hard to ask for more in a place to stay. Good kitchen—the unit is layed out in a way that you will want to stay a month. But however long you stay, you will enjoy it.
However: if you have trouble walking up hills, you may want to pass on this one. The parking lot is on a hill and has three levels. We parked on all three depending on whether a spot was available in the lower levels. The hill isn’t bad, but just saying. If you are quite elderly you may want an easier access.
A WONDERFUL beach place to spend an occasional afternoon is waking distance away. They have a wagon that we pulled loaded with beach chairs, towels and umbrella. They even had fins! (We rented the snorkel headgear.)
The pool is nice and they have well kept barbecues. Great kitchen for cooking.

We loved this property and location. The view was amazing, the pool was easily accessible, a quick walk to Poipu Beach and a well appointed unit. We could have not asked for anything more. If we were to return to Kauai, we would definitely book this property again. Our only concern that we registered with the property manager was the need to fix the dishwasher door as it would fall hard to the floor and I was close to injuring myself mor than once.

Amazing location right on the water, surf so loud it interrupted my sleep. Could not be in a more impressive place. Well maintained 70s era condo complex, four floors two buildings , maybe 35ish units, parking super super tight, tiny spots (only downside). Well equipped kitchen and also well equipped for beach outings, etc. with chairs, cooler, even mineral based sunscreen. Pool very nice and not filled with people, very well kept up. All in all, a wonderful spot in Poipu. Just wish some jarhead wouldn't try and park full sized pickups in these tiny slots. Okay, so that's my rant. Did take me 3 days to figure out the AC and room fans, but eventually did on my own (I even programmed the cable remote to run the TV!). Our experience really changed when noisy neighbors occupied the next door units midway into our stay, but clearly we have no control over that. Would be the same anywhere. This property seems to be mostly VRBO type rentals, if that means anything. We'd come back, now armed with knowledge of area/restaurants/drive times, etc. Mahalo!!

This place is pretty much the perfect place to stay for a family of 4! The view is absolutely breathtaking and we never tired of just sitting on the patio and watching the waves crash against the rocks. The location is great, as it's only a short walk to some great beaches and a short drive to some great restaurants. The condo pretty much provided everything we needed for a day at the beach, they had chairs, umbrella, beach towels, life jackets, coolers and bags, etc. Couldn't be happier with our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay at Poipu Shores 402! We arrived after dark but could still see the crashing surf in the moonlight. It lulled us to sleep each night. The condo is recently updates and feels new and very clean. Our kids loved the beach toys (boogie boards, goggles, giant pool floaties). Great pool with crashing surf beneath and lots of sea turtles to watch! Easy access to Poipu beach park and Brennecke’s for boogie boarding. Parker sent lots of helpful tips for great beaches, hikes, and restaurants. Wish we’d stayed longer!

We enjoyed our time at this property in Poipu. We loved being able to wake up to the view of the waves crashing against the shore from the bedroom. We also loved cooking breakfast and eating out on the balcony, watching the birds in the palm trees and the waves on the lava rock. The location was great. We saw turtles and monk seals each day on the shore at Poipu Beach, just a short walk down the path from the condo. The nearby restaurants were delicious. Overall, our stay couldn't have been better.

We would start our morning with coffee on the lanai to watch the honu and whales. Such an amazing view with so much ocean life right outside. Parker was so awesome too, he answered all of our questions and even dropped off some bubbly, extra towels, and new pans! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, and the place was really clean. We felt right at home.. and we’re sad we have to leave. Would absolutely stay here again..thanks so much for letting us stay at your place!! 10/10 would always recommend :)
