Close to the beaches, restaurants, most things you could want. Parking is easy. AC works GREAT. We didn’t spend a ton of time here as we were out exploring but it was a great place to come back and rest for a bit!

This condo exceeded our expectations. It was much bigger than what the photos portray. The view from the lanai was wonderful. We spent most mornings watching the birds and the waves off in the distance. The location was amazing, close drive to everything and we were able to see most of the island. The beach across the street is so close and we enjoyed strolling along it most days and saw lots of wildlife including a pufferfish, shorebirds, crabs. The condo was well stocked for cooking and the bed was comfortable. We really appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella! My only feedback would be that the pillows on the bed may need replacing as they were a bit flat. But overall an incredible stay and we would love to come back one day. Mahalo!

Very nice condo. We enjoyed having breakfast on the porch overlooking the pool. Could even see the ocean from the porch. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well supplied for cooking. Parking was convenient. Quiet neighborhood. Overall a great place.

My husband and I stayed for 5 days after a 2 week family vacation with kids and grandkids. We did not have a car but we’re able to walk to the grocery store (a bit of a hike), the ABC store, bakery and shave ice store (they were much closer). It is a very quick 1/2 block walk to the beach and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets every night. The whales even put on a bit of a show for us. The condo itself is very well equipped with dishes, cutlery, appliances and has a very good selection of beach apparatus including chairs, a cooler, snorkeling equipment, paddle board etc. Communication with the manager was replied to quickly. And they were kind enough to let us check out late as we had a midnight flight back home. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hawaiian Bungalow in Kihei. Communication with the owner was easy and thorough. The property perfectly accommodates a couple. The property is especially beautiful and well maintained. I would highly recommend the property to any couple wanting a quiet Maui getaway.

It was a wonderful experience. The condo was within walking distance to a beautiful, pretty quiet beach. It was easy to get to all the spurs we needed to around the island. The hosts were super and provided us a lot of the local places to eat and find coffee! We enjoyed our coffee on the patio in the mornings and were able to see the ocean from there! I would highly recommend this place! The only suggestion, would be to offer more towels for a week-long stay.

First and foremost, the bed was extremely comfortable and we slept better than we have in a long time. The air conditioning worked extremely well, which my husband very much appreciated. We were able to make meals with the amenities in the kitchen and always felt safe. The only aspect of the experience that wasn’t ideal was that sounds from outside could easily be heard. It didn’t really negatively impact our experience, but it’s something that could be an issue if there were loud neighbors or construction.
Overall, we would recommend the condo to a couple looking for a reasonably priced place conveniently located to many of Maui’s popular destinations. Jim and Pam were super friendly and responsive. Mahalo!

We stayed here November 20-26. It's steps away from a nice beach, and a short drive to shopping. Parking is super easy.
The unit is small but perfect for two people. Note there isn't a dresser for your clothes so things could get a little cluttery during your stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances we needed (blender, toaster, rice cooker) and we didn't want for anything.
Beach chairs and umbrella were in like-new condition which saved us having to rent some. The small pool and area is beautiful, even had a little gold putting green! Huge beach towels were nice.
The bed was comfortable, sheets were new, and the site conditioning worked very well (we only used it at night.) Unit complex is quiet (almost no road noise) and any neighbour noise was minimal. Laundry costs $2 for both wash and dry (there's a huge selection of reading material in the laundry building, as well as books in the unit itself.)
We look forward to staying here again.

Easy check-in process, communicative owners. Pool was nice, with the beach just a walk across the street (30 seconds - 1 min walk). You can see a little bit of the beach from the balcony just past some palm trees!
Everything you would need for your stay was in the condo (kitchen utensils, beach/bath towels). Very close to grocery stores, shopping plazas, farmers market and not that far from where we departed from our excursions (Molokini snorkeling, Maui Gold pineapple tour). Easy drive to get to the Road to Hana and Haleakala sunrise - and the airport of course! - if that is in your plan.
Property is great for couples or solo travelers.

We were only given 2 bath towels and you had to pay to do laundry. ☹️ And only 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 12 day stay. We had to purchase our own. That is why I gave it an over all 4 stars. And no dishwasher.

I feel like lodging can either make or break a trip regardless of the destination. My husband and I rented Pam and Jim’s condo to celebrate our anniversary week and enjoyed our stay so much! This was our first trip to Maui so we weren’t familiar with the area or where we wanted to be so we could see and do as much as possible during our time. This place was perfect! You will want to travel the entire island to enjoy all Maui has to offer, so Kihei is great as it is centrally located.
Literally across the street from a beautiful beach where we walked every morning and watched the sunset each evening. Walking distance to a local produce stand, ABC store, sushi restaurant and Hawaiian shaved ice.
The condo was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. It is very small, so not ideal for more than two people but there is a sleeper sofa in the living area if needed. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make basic meals which saved us a ton of money by not having to eat out three times a day. Beach chairs and an umbrella are provided which were invaluable to our trip. We spent hours relaxing on the beach without baking in the sun.
In all, we had a great time and will be returning again in the future. Mahalo!

Excellent place to stay! I stayed for about 4 weeks, and would stay again.
Comfortable - furnishings are comfortable, a/c works well, place is quiet (though it's easy to hear neighbors if they happen to be loud, I didn't encounter anyone loud enough to bother me). Wifi works well as I spent many weekdays "working from home". It was nice to have a kitchen to make some food, and laundry on site to refresh my clothes and towels. There are also some nice little attention to details in the unit.
Convenient - well equipped with ocean gear and kitchen supplies (though I couldn't find a kitchen knife for some reason). Unfortunately laundry is coin operated but it's easy to change bills to coins at a bank. There was always parking available, and the location is pretty good for visiting around. It's also super close to a beach (gets windy though, and the sand is mostly gone during high tide) which made for a great morning / evening walk.
Communicative - Jim and Pamela are quick to respond and quick to inform us, eg letting me know the bug man was coming by for bug prevention treatment, and helping to handle a power outage and water shut off (both of which were out of our control, as I understand it).

The air-con was a much needed accessory and we were pleased to have a unit in the bedroom and another one in the living room area.
The property was stylish and was perfect for a week long holiday. It was also well equipped with beach chairs, umbrella and a boogie board. These amenities came as a very pleasant surprise.
The apartment was spotlessly clean.
I would argue with the ocean view as the condo is behind a couple other complexes and it is also concealed with palm trees and other vegetation. However the garden and the pool area are beautifully maintained and beach access is just across the street.
Overall we had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Maui.

For the first few days, we only had one tiny shampoo bottle and two rolls of TP, so we had to go buy some shower/bathroom necessities at Walmart. Few small roaches by the TV and kitchen area. The front door and windows to the condo are screens and then "shades" you can adjust? Basically, its not an actual real front door so it REALLY sucked when the Kihei fires happened-smoke alllll throughout the place. The fire was literally about a mile away and we almost had to evacuate. We called the emergency hotline and they told us to keep the AC on so smoke does not, to summarize, kill us in our sleep. We slept in the living room with damp towels covering our mouths/noses the whole time because that room was least smokey (compared to the bedroom) and not as close to the front "door." If this place didn't have AC we probably could not have even stayed in that condo. I'm from southern CA so I have had to evacuate my house about 8 times due to brush fires, and never in a million years did we think in Maui a brushfire would be this terrible. Overall, the owners were responsive to us, making sure we were okay and always trying to do their best to help. We did enjoy our stay overall. Thanks Jim!

This property is kept in very good condition. Clean and nice, looks exactly like in pictures featured, comfortable bed, shower is fantastic! Beach is across the street and is good for swimming although has a few rocks. Only negative about this property is how loud it is...you can hear all your neighboors. The first 3 nights we stayed, our neighbors smoked constantly on the balcony and all the smoke went into our rental so had to keep balcony closed. He was very loud talking on his phone all night and kept us up. Last 2 night new neighbor was screaming with her husband till 2am followed by physical fighting and throwing things at each other. It was constant screaming curse words followed by loud bangs and things breaking...you could hear every single word. I'm just glad it was our last days, otherwise would have called police. So it is defenitly not a quite place to stay, walls are very thin. Otherwise, rental is in very good condition and close to everything.

I rented this condo based on previous comments. Post stay, I agree with them and won't repeat them. These are my additional notes.
The condo is in north Kihei. The Maui Revealed book does not recommend this area because the water look muddy. I swam in the beach across the street, and I observed that the waves stirred up sediments to make the water cloudy. If you have a car, a nice clear blue water beach is 10 minutes away. This is the only drawback that I see, but the low price more than makes up for it, especially if you have a car.
The condo is on the second floor (top floor). The air conditioning units work well and run silent.
There is one washer and one dryer located a few steps away (not inside the condo). Each takes $2 in quarters ($4 total to wash and dry your load). There is no closet or drawer in the condo. The owner provides plenty of hangers, and you need to be creative as to where you hang your clothes.
The condo is not beach front. It's on a side street, but only a few steps from the beach - easy walk even if you have kids. The sand is nice and soft.
Coming from the airport, Google map tells you to turn before the street into a different (and wrong) complex. Pay attention and turn into a street (in the condo address).

The accomodation is in a good location in Maui. The beach is right across the street at the end of the parking lot. The grounds are kept clean and the pool area is nice. - Location : 10/10 : walking distance (1 minute) to the beach and the sunset is right in front of the place. Close to the airport. On the dry side of the island. Close to the major part of the beaches.
- Property : 10/10 everything was clean and fresh !
- Amenities : 10/10 : we often use the 2 nices chairs and the cooler. That’s great to have access to that to go to the beach!
- Confort : 10/10 : the bed and the sheet were very comfortable

We enjoyed staying on the quiet end of Kihei. The beach is across the street and the unit is down from the local shave ice and veggie stand. The complex is well kept with a nice pool area and bbq. The unit is very nice and well suited for two! The kitchen is well equipped, the bed comfortable, and the fans and AC help adjust comfort for hot days. Its nice and quiet here and we absolutely love it and will return!

We loved our trip to Maui! Kihei was a great central location to stay and the apartment was great. Everything was what we expected and clean. It was nice having a kitchen to prepare small meals so that we didn't have to go out for every single meal. The bed was decently comfortable. It was nice having beach chairs, boogie boards, and an umbrella to use at the beach. Another comment mentioned snorkeling gear, which we weren't able to locate. Not a problem, just don't plan on it if you're coming. There are tons of places to rent. Jim and Pamela even allowed us a late checkout because we were leaving on the red eye which was extremely helpful and kind so that we could clean up from the beach before boarding our flight. We would recommend staying here!

We had a great stay! The condo had everything we needed, perfect location, great a/c, well maintained pool and grounds. Loved that they provided beach chairs, a beach umbrella, coolers, boogie boards, and more. Quick response time to any of our questions, and very accommodating.
