Property is old . Air con doesn’t work, linen thread bare and towels have holes. Issues with stove top and had to call fire department has host couldn’t help. We were told not to use it until it had been fixed. Host didn’t fix and we had to move after only 2 days of our 11 day stay which we paid for. No refund was given and host not at all understanding or apologetic. I was there from Australia for Ironman World champs and had this on my first two days of preparing for the event. It totally affected my focus and prep and ultimately my performance.

Just a short walk to the beach. Grocery stores, cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Beds were super comfortable w ac in rooms. Exactly as advertised. Great water pressure in shower. Had beach chairs, boogie boards and even clear snorkel solution! Only challenge was the gas stove, dial did not control flame so it got a little stressful trying to find something to turn the flame off. I notified the owners and hopefully they will take care of it. Parking spot was directly infront of condo. Definitely would stay again! Mahalo!!!

Our stay was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked great. I can’t say how anything else was because we literally only slept at the condo. We were up early every morning and out exploring the island every day.

The property was as advertised. The communication from the host about how to find, access the building and available amenities was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and beach towels, chairs and umbrella were also available. Great location with easy access to grocery stores, restaurants and the beaches.

This condo is in an old association. This unit needs work on kitchen windows and woodwork, entry door, lanai screens and shades. Floor in lanai is buckled because of water entering. Kitchen louvered window doesn't close tight resulting in wet floor when I arrived. Update in bathroom is pretty nice.

The location is wonderful. However there were a few things that need to be fixed & updated for this amount of money. The water filter jug in the fridge was moldy around the whole top, gross. The corners of the bathroom, the base boards around the the condo & the window sills need to be cleaned better, striped & painted. This is an older condo & it shows. The window panes don’t seal out the heat at all. It’s hard to keep the living room & kitchen from being uncomfortably hot. But the a/c in the bedrooms was lovely. There is no drain plug in the bathroom sink & you can easily drop something in & it will be lost into the sink drain pipe & lost forever. The water line from the toilet to the bidet is very rusty & didn’t look clean. The table cloth needs to be replaced. It’s plastic, stained & torn in places. The plug in behind the bed in the little bedroom needs to be fixed. I had to pull the bed away from the wall to get the extension cord hooked up to the lamp & power strip to work. The plug in needs to be replaced as it’s loose & the cord doesn’t stay plugged in. The bottom drawer of the stove needs to be replace, as there is an open hole where the handle used to be, with insulation visible & exposed. The pool was wonderful. The towels for the beach were much appreciated. We went for a swim while doing our coin op laundry. The laundry is very close to this rental. The fridge was clean & we appreciated the ice cubes. I left 2 freezer packs. Pascal was helpful & communicative.

The hosts are conscientious and clearly communicate at every step, the location is wonderful as a home base for ranging all over the big island, the pool was a welcome way to close out each day, and we appreciated the oh-so-comfortable bedrooms. Just a great low-key find.

Very impressed with the location, walkable to all downtown in 20 minures or less.

> Parking is 25-feet from entrance to apartment and room is on ground floor (only 4-5 stairs)
> 30-seconds to main highway that will take you in any direction
> Wasn't expecting to use laundry, but we did and it was clean and the price was fair
> 20-minutes from airport
> Bed was comfortable
> Amazing shower pressure
Suggest repairing the bathroom floor tile, some of the grout was coming out and maybe a loose tile or two. Maybe add a lamp right at the front door so you can turn it on when you walk in at night.

This was a really nice place to land after getting in from the airport. After a long day of travel on a plane it was really nice to have a place so close to the airport. It was easy to find, had its own parking spot and very close to a lot of stores and restaurants. There check in and check out process was very easy.

This place was really nice and right in the beginning of town. We had a celebration of life at Hale Halawai which was walking distance from the unit. This place was cute, so perfect. I hope I am able to rent this unit again in the near future. Mahalo nui!!

I chose this place based on other reviews about the location and I was not disappointed. A cozy condo right in the middle of stores, shops, and restaurants. Was able to walk to anything we needed, even the beach. The host was very responsive. Overall a flawless experience, would definitely stay again.

Complex clean, but older. In busy part of town. Grocery & shopping next door, across street. Ten min. walk to harbor/ocean.
Pool area great: nice chairs, umbrellas, clean. Water perfect temperature for swimming.
Unit was clean; could smell cleaning products used. That was a bit strong & bothered my adult daughter for the first day.
Living room not as large as I'd thought from photos, but adequate. My adult grandson loved large TV & selection of channels. Wi-Fi worked fine.
We appreciated the cot since we had 5 people.
Kitchen was definitely tiny. Pans stored in oven. But I appreciated the large assortment of cooking utensils. Many Hawaii condos have just a couple & seldom a peeler. This kitchen had everything we needed. Just hard to find counter space for things during meal prep.
Bathroom small. Toilet seat slid around; we got it back where it belonged, but thought it should be tightened. Texted owners & were told it's left that way for the housekeeper to clean. It was a bit awkward. Also only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 4 days. But after asking owners about that, housekeeper promptly brought over more.
Plenty of bath towels provided, but only 3 beach towels. They definitely need more of those.
Housekeeper showed up 10 minutes before check-out time, which I found off-putting - felt rushed, hard to look around to be sure nothing left behind.
Overall, I would consider this rental again.

Our hosts were very responsive and looks like the really care about our staying, but overall our family, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, didn’t really enjoyed the place. The apartment is smaller than we expected and outdated, even though the queen beds and linen were nicely comfortable; the lanai is not usable, is a closed extremity tiny space with screens, being at the first floor at the very beginning of the complex is not helping, the whole building complex is old and dated. And while it is walking distance to a lot of place we didn’t really like the surroundings, we chose it for the location, but we would not stay there again.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting the island because it’s in the heart of town. Nice cozy place. Justin was wonderful! Quick responses, there was a small issue that they resolved so quickly. Other residents live here so you’ll hear loud music or noise around but they pretty much follow the 10pm quiet hour. Such a great place for a great price!

We have a family of 4 with an adult kid and a kid kid who needed separate beds. This worked out great as we were able to use the roll away bed for the younger. Beds were comfy and each had a nice fluffy comforter. Kid wanted to stay in bed bc she loved the bedding ha ha.
Location was great, the area was not glamorous but was right next to a supermarket and other useful shops. Easy walk to cute shopping area with stores and restaurants. Easy drive to activities we wanted to do, right in center of Kona. 15 min to airport.
Bc it’s in the middle of everything, we could do an activity and go back and rest (or wash clothes) before the next activity.
Laundry room is next to swimming pool so I could supervise kid swimming while I did the laundry. Also there’s a bathroom by the pool which is handy.
Nice screened porch, now I need one! Kitchen has coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven/stove, and fridge.
Also found Lysol wipes and other useful items stashed around the condo.
Overall a great fit for our family.

We enjoyed staying at this property and Justin was really nice. It was clean and in a convenient area. The only thing is the front door wouldn't shut and close easily. Maybe it needs to be trimmed at the bottom.

The condo was great—affordable for two rooms and the location was awesome. Super close and walkable to delicious coffee and beer and other delicious things, as well as the main strip next to the beach in Kailua-Kona. The condo was pretty hot, but cooled down quickly with window air units. We enjoyed hanging out on the lanai in the mornings as well. We spotted a few geckos at times. Some aspects of the condo seem a little outdated and could use some updates or fixes, but overall a nice place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo in Kona. The owners are easy to communicate with and responsive. They were able to answer all our questions before check in. I was traveling with my two older sons and they even helped us with extra bedding. They went above and beyond!
The condo is walking distance to the pier and a nice little beach area. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops each day. It is also a short drive to other local attractions.
The bedrooms had window A/C that kept them nice and cool in the evenings for sleeping. We ended up spending our days exploring or sitting on the beach so I am not sure about how hot the days got, but the condo was very comfortable in the mornings and evenings. The porch was a great spot to enjoy my morning coffee.

We wanted to be in Kona because our son was there. This location worked out beautifully. The condo fit our needs very well. We enjoyed the patio and the rooms and beds were all comfortable. We could a lot and there were a few things missing in the kitchen but we made do easily. So close and central to a lot we were wanting from Kailua Kona and the Big Island.

A well-used, functional unit at a cost suited to those visiting Kona on a tight budget. Expect more, and you might be disappointed.
Very good Internet, television, and especially communication from the owner. Ceiling fans throughout. Location is prime for walking to everything the heart of Kailua-Kona offers. Short walk to pool and laundry (though we used neither).
Naturally, renters should not expect peace & quiet in this urban setting in a large, residential complex comprising, older, inexpensively constructed buildings. Two examples: The KTA grocery next door makes for super convenient shopping, but during our short stay, a small army of leaf blowers began work there daily around 6:00 am. And the, perhaps lonesome, gentleman who lives above the unit favors a routine of loud, lengthy, late-night and early morning phone calling.
The owner could likely cut propane(?) cost if the flame for any of the four stove-top burners could be adjusted lower than the High-to-Medium-High range possible.
We shared quarters with a few geckos in addition to the big, decorative one on the wall. :-)

Location right on the Tri Course, a real plus for us. Listing was misleading: strictly speaking, there IS an air conditioner in each bedroom, but the ad makes it seem like the unit is air conditioned, which it certainly is not, the living areas never got cool enough to use. Nice pool area. In walking distance from some fun eateries. Unit manager contacted us at dinner on Saturday night indicating he wanted us out early on Tuesday. This is why I like to rent from owners as opposed to managed properties. This unit is marketed like it is owner operated, which it is not. A real detriment I am sorry to say. All in all, for the age of this unit and the price it was ok.

Don’t let the exterior fool you, the apartment is neat, tidy and clean and has everything you will need. It is close to the beach, restaurants and shops so very handy. Very quiet and the permanent residents are lovely, we met some of them. We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed staying at Pascal's condominium. It's in a quiet condominium complex but within walking distance to everything you would need, groceries, gift shops, and the original Kona Brewery! The beach is right down the street. The condo is well maintained and peaceful. I would highly recommend staying here.

This rental is close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Everything we needed was within walking distance.
The complex itself is dated but the unit has been updated.
A couple of things that could be improved upon are the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom and a couple of door handles/jambs could be repaired.
I had to clean the fridge, the counter and the dish rack before using them. I was told by the renter that I should have let him know right away and he would have sent the cleaning lady back to finish what she forgot and I guess I should have done that. The windows also have no screens so if you leave them open, hope you don’t mind critters :). Also the bed I slept in is extremely noisy (don’t move a muscle or you’ll wake your partner).
I can’t say that I loved the place but I would stay again if the issues I mentioned above were taken care of.
