The condo owner of this property is great. The condo itself is very clean and well stocked. But the location is surrounded by tent encampments and is right next to a very busy highway. Waianae is a community that is really only locals and we got the impression that tourists aren’t really welcome. If you don’t leave the condo and only want to sit by a pool and have an ocean view, then this location would be fine.

Very clean, we stayed 12 days! There is a wonderful welcoming basket so when you first arrive you have what you need and do not have to run to the store immediately. We cooked every night. The kitchen has everything! Which is rare. I highly recommend this condo and did I say the view and pool are awesome!!

I discovered this special place in 2017. I returned again in 2019. Shortly after that the owner passed. Though I kept looking for it to return as a rental it was not until late last year I spotted it again listed on VRBO. The new owner has changed/improved on some of the furnishings. The washer/dryer is new and because it did such a great job we now are looking for a set just like this unit has. Note: though the west side beaches have some homeless encampments these condo units have security guard service. I never was concerned. The new "landlord" is top shelf. You can't beat the view location and comfort.

Everything is clean, comfortable, and in great working order.
There's beautiful sandy beach, a pool, parking, within steps of the condo.
To top it off, we saw amazing sunsets each night.

The condo was exactly as pictured, very clean, and well-stocked with every kitchen utensil, glassware, and pots and pans one could ever need, as well as snorkeling gear, beach chairs, and a cooler. The bed was comfy. We loved sitting on the lanai every morning and evening, listening to the crashing waves that are so close. The pool looked nice, though we never got in, and the beach was literally just on the other side of the pool. The building residents were pretty quiet and very friendly, but the road nearby was a bit noisy at times. Not enough that it really bothered us, though. All in all, a lovely stay in a beautiful condo.

It was our 25th wedding anniversary and I surprised my wife with a trip. The views were spectacular and every night we would set out on the patio or on the beach and watch the sunset. It was absolutely amazing and the people in the building were great and have become friends.

This is a nice condo and is well equipped including a washer and dryer! Right on the beach with a beautiful pool. The downside is that the location is not terrific. Grocery stores, fast food and restuarants although not too far away (a mile - few miles) you really cannot walk to them. Traffic is very bad most of the day and the beach is pretty much a campground for the homeless. Hawaii needs to do a better job to create affordable housing for folks. It would better for everyone and this condo would be a much nicer place to stay!

This property was true to pictures and description. My husband and I made sure we were back every evening by 18:00, to watch the sunset at 18:20-18:30. The location was close to dining and shopping. Being on the beach was an awesome experience. This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was a great experience for both of us. Char was available when we had questions. We bought groceries and cooked several meals there. The kitchen was full stocked with cooking supplies. Char thought of everything for this property. Thank you for being available for questions when we needed you, Char! You are appreciated!

We could not have picked a better condo! Yes the road is noisy but not bad on the lanai or at night with the air conditioning. Best sunsets on the island! Char provides everything you need. Recommend the sunset cruise and snorkeling with Ocean Joy, the beach house 604, the swapmeet, north shore, Leonards malasadas. Dont miss the fire dancing at the Polynesian Culture Center.

Excellent place to get away. On west side of Oahu away from crowds downtown. Generally quite except for ambulances. Only one road on this side of island and traffic noise is a slight issue. 60 or so units in the C shaped condo complex. Grocery store five miles north. Disney expensive things are just south at Ko Olina. 30 minutes to Pearl Harbor if traffic is calm. Very beautiful beach. Condo is great for two people. Clean. I would come back in a heartbeat

Overall, the condo is splendid, as is Char to work with. Everything was easy-peasy & I couldn’t have been happier with the ease of communication, checking in & out of the condo, the amenities, etc.
A couple of annoyances that can’t be helped were: the noise level of the landscaping. It’s every Friday, from 8/9a to 1p, or possibly later. And, the traffic on the highway. If you use the AC unit it blends in, but the sirens do break through.
On non-landscaping days, sitting on the lanai is lovely, the view is amazing, and a great way to start each morning.
We were there in the spring, which meant the ocean was too rough to enter from the beach access outside the condo building. In speaking with a resident, it’s not an issue during the summer, as it’s incredibly calm. She suggested going to the lagoons in Ko Olina as an alternative.
The kitchen is well appointed, as is the bathroom. A perfect place to relax & rejuvenate, and not have to go out to eat for every meal. If you’re looking for places nearby, we enjoyed the Countryside Cafe for breakfast & The Beach House for spectacular views (especially sunset) and dinner.
Given the location, you will need to drive everywhere, so a rental car is a must.
A definite recommendation from us & a place we’d stay at again.

The condo itself was nice, clean, nice grounds, nice pool. The view of the ocean is great.
There is a lot of road noise; the bedroom faces the highway.
The beach was not swimmable. This complex is located by beach parks, some with permanent campers. We were advised not to wander around after dark. It is rather far from attractions, with rush hour traffic issues.

My wife and I took a quick trip to Hawaii. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle and Maili Cove was perfect. Made our own breakfasts in the mornings and hit most of the island Hotspots in our rental car during the day. Situated right in the center of the building, we had awesome evening breezes flowing through which was great. We highly recommend this property if you're looking for a similar experience

We stayed in this condo for 4.5 days last week. The property was clean and probably one of the best appointed and equipped condos we've rented. It had everything you would need. The bed was confortable, the linens very nice, the shower was great, kitchen well stocked. They placed snacks and a welcome basket for our arrival. Check in was super easy and the security guy Dennis was always welcoming when we arrived late. We did not use the pool or beach area since we were there to hike and explore the island, but the grounds were well kept. It does not have a swimming beach, which most of the reviews state. I would add that the homelessness along the beach on this part of the island was a bit of a surprise. We did not feel comfortable walking along the beach or street during the evening hours. You can read about this with a quick Google search on the topic. Stores and restaurants are close enough, but not walking distance. Our favorite hidden gem was The Beach House 604 just up the street in Waianae. It is on a military base, but open to the public and sits just inside the gates. Don't worry when the MPs at the gate turn you around, just park along the street and walk through to the restaurant. Live music and great service. Spicy poke is to die for. One other thing to note is that the street in front of the condo is very, very busy. The noise and the congeted traffic were awful, but we found that to be the case everywhere on Oahu.

Everything was just as advertised if not better. Condo was clean and well appointed. Residents in the complex were friendly and helpful. Pool was great and the ocean is right there! Listening to the waves all night and day is perfect. Communication with owner was always speedy and pleasant. We loved being away from the hustle of Waikiki but it isn't that far when you feel like being a tourist 😄. Stay here and you will enjoy it!

The apartment was everything I needed and more. My trip was spontaneous due to my daughter having medical appointments at the military hospital. The apartment was everything it advertised and more. I walked the beach everyday, I listened to the ocean, and I met some amazing people.The owner was amazing and very informative. I lived on Oahu in the early 90's and knew I didn't want to stay in a touristy area. This was perfect! The view everyday was amazing and everything you could have needed was available in the condo. We found a place a couple of miles away called The Beach House by 604. It's located on a military recreation base, but you don't have to be military. You can park at the road and have to show your driver's license to the guard shack and they will let you in. There is live music most nights, we spent 3 of our 10 nights here enjoying the outside and entertainment. We will for sure pick this condo again, if we get the opportunity to return. We were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday.

The condo was everything the website described and more. There was assigned parking which was very close to the unit. The unit itself was very clean and every little detail was thought of by the owner. We found slippers, robes and even earplugs in our nightstands. There were beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards too. The condo felt very spacious and the sofa was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed watching the sunsets and eating breakfast on the lanai. Access to the beach was very convenient using the security gate right by the pool. Peaceful. Serene. Tranquil. These are the descriptive words that come to mind when I explain our stay at Serendipity on the Moana. It was a dream-the sunsets were astounding from the patio. The complex was clean and quiet, and the condo was absolutely perfect. We loved the layout and the tranquil blues and greens thoughtfully applied in the decor. The attention to detail is on point. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The bed was very comfortable and we LOVED the walk in shower (such a neat design) It is located on the west side of the island, so it's away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu-which we loved, but with traffic one should plan for some extra time to get around the island-We re-newed our wedding vows on this trip, snorkeled a ton, paid our respects at Pearl Harbor, took a sunset dinner luau cruise, hiked Waimea Valley (which was probably one of my favorite adventures), ate at several local restaurants and explored as much of the island as we could in our 5 day stay. IF we ever make it back to Oahu, I would most certainly choose to stay at this lovely condo again! Mahalo for sharing a piece of paradise with us!

Truly a charming, clean, sunny condo with special attention to guest amenities, especially in the kitchen. My husband and I loved sipping coffee in the morning and rum drinks at night on the balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The property's grounds are immaculate, and the refreshing salt water pool is very well maintained. Linda, the property manager, and all the residents were friendly and helpful. We appreciated everyone's local recommendations and tried (and enjoyed) Spicy House Thai food and restaurant 604. Most days, we enjoyed relaxing on a completely private beach. (We were warned that ocean swimming was not recommended due to the rocky shore and the potential riptides with no lifeguard to rescue you.) To swim in the ocean, we drove to Ko'Olina Lagoon 4. Overall, any couple looking for a peaceful getaway far enough away from all the touristy hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place for you. Mahalo Thank you to our hosts!

This condo is amazing! The ocean views and immaculate grounds, beaches, and pool right out your deck, you couldn’t ask for more. The amenities to include fully stocked kitchen, linens, air conditioning, and super easy parking. The community residents so friendly and helpful. The highway noise not so bad, and it was drowned out by the hum of the air conditioner at night. We loved this condo and would definitely recommend for those looking for some R&R!

This property is exactly as advertised and is stunning. Beautiful modern decor, fantastic pool, right on the beach, a lovely little condo community and easy communication with host made this VRBO simply the best! While this condo complex is a easy 1/2 hour drive from the airport, it’s in a quieter area of the island, so a little longer distance to places like the North Shore. Also, other than stunning beaches, there’s not much else to do on this side of the island, but this suited us just fine!
We would highly recommend this beautiful condo. Char was a fantastic host! Mahalo!

Wow, we LOVED our time here. Fabulous unit, beautifully decorated, wonderfully appointed ( including a brita, Starbucks coffee, coconut oil of Olay-lovely touches). Fabulous view, and very nice pool with gas grills. We purchased fresh fish and cooked there a few nights and loved it! We did not want to leave. You won’t be that impressed as you park and head to your unit but when you open the door you are impressed, and as you settle in with the little community of people, you are quickly won over! The residents have a beautiful “blowing of the conch shell” ceremony, poolside, each evening as the sun sets. It’s so wonderful! Everything was delightful. Highly recommend

Very nice property directly on the beach. Clean, nice décor and furnishings. Kitchen includes complete appliances, pans, tools. Dedicated free parking spot. Above all, a GREAT view. Other residents very friendly. The only downside is significant noise from the highway when in the bedroom. However there is no noise when enjoying the balcony and the view. A car is needed to be able to completely explore the island. I definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again if traveling to Hawaii.

This condo was exactly as advertised. We had a view of the ocean from our balcony. We ate two meals a day on the balcony, enjoying the sounds and sights at the shore.
The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to prepare meals very easily. There were ample towels and sheets. The washer and dryer worked well as did all other appliances. In general this condo had everything we needed for a great week by the beach.
Only two negative things to report — both minor
1. Neighbors outside the condo light fireworks at night on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
2. Some of the other tenants in the building smoke cigarettes and the smell can be blown to our balcony

My husband and I celebrated our 50th birthdays “Hawaii 5-0” at this beautiful oasis. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed all the amenities the condo has to offer. The kitchen had everything we needed. We instantly felt at home. We loved all the beach accessories, chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, towels. It was great, to take the chairs out to the beach and enjoy the ocean view. It was amazing to go on morning walks and have the beach to yourself. The sunsets were amazing! We loved the location of being away from all the tourists in North Shore and Waikiki. I definitely recommend you rent a car. Your able to explore the entire island and come back to a quiet spot to relax. Most spots on the island are a short 45 minute drive. We didn’t turn the AC unit once, there was a nice breeze that went throughout the condo. The bed was very comfortable, but a little small, we are used to a king size bed, but it worked out well. We loved Ka’ena Point State park, it’s nearby the condo. It’s a 9 mile hike one way, but was so worth it. We saw monk seals and whales! It was incredible. Linda was awesome and very helpful, we loved her hospitality. Char responded promptly to any questions we had. The locals here had the best fireworks around for the holidays. We definitely will be back! Absolutely amazing here!

The place is absolutely beautiful with the best sunset views from the lanai. It is very quiet and perfect for a week on Oahu. We found great beaches nearby and restaurants to enjoy. We traveled into Honolulu twice and the traffic was terrible, but going back to the condo and relaxing was so nice. We highly recommend this place!!

We could not find a thing wrong. From booking to checking out, no issues, all smooth. This place had all we could ask for. Great location and access to the pool was a bonus to cool off a bit at the end of the day.
All of the amenities were excellent, beach items were more than enough for us, from chairs, umbrellas and water gear.
We will definitely consider this location on our next trip to Oahu and of course like anyone else, wish we would have booked a longer stay.

First of all the owner is such a dream to work with! She responds quickly, kindly and is very friendly. Condo is exactly as you see in the photos - beautiful views and sounds of crashing waves. The soft sand beach is just past the well maintained pool and lovely landscaped grounds. We loved every moment in this well appointed condo. Towels, sheets and bed were very soft. Bed is a little small but so comfy. Lots of beach toys and towels in a large closet by the full size washer and dryer. Kitchen was stocked with all the gadgets you need.

My 16yo daughter and I recently stayed at this lovely little condo for 2weeks. We enjoyed meals on the lanai with the beautiful view of the ocean. Sitting at night listening to the waves crash on shore was so relaxing.
This condo has everything one could need including beach gear and a cooler. The kitchen is well outfitted with plenty of cookware.
A small grocery store is just a few minutes away or Costco/Safeway is about 15min. Being in the west side of the island is more isolated and not many near by restaurants but that is the beauty of this location. We were able to spend the day with all the tourists and our evenings in a quiet peaceful location.
The unit was very hot when we first arrived and it took a few days to stay cool with the AC unit in the bedroom. But once it was cool we were comfortable.
We had a great time and were very sad to leave.

This property was great. Very clean and very comfortable. The owner was very easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions very quickly. This property is 'off the beaten path'. This is NOT in a 'touristy' area. It is up the coast from Ko Olina, and more of a suburb area. So if you stay here, but are doing the tourist things, be prepared to drive a bit.
My one drawback is that the property backs right up to the main highway, and there is quite a bit of highway noise at night ( we had emergency sirens at all hours of the night). However, it wasn't that bad. The wifi was fast and allowed me to get some work done for the office. The pool is nice, and the local owners are very friendly and nice to talk to. There is a great beach out in front of the property, but there are plenty of beaches to pick and choose from going up the coast, and not near as crowded as Waikiki. If you are looking to get away from the crowds and just want relax with fantastic sunsets, this place is for you.
