This condo (listed with VRBO in June 2018) is a fully renovated/upgraded and very well furnished/equipped unit located in the Maui Parkshore complex in South Kihei, Maui. This condo is just steps away from wonderful beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The unit includes two bedrooms (each with a Cal-King size bed), two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, an open living room and dining area, and a large (approx. 7' x 24') lanai that provides an excellent view of Kamaole Beach Park III and the ocean. The lanai has a full size dining table and six chairs, allowing guests to comfortably relax and dine out on the lanai, while enjoying beautiful views. The unit is designed to comfortably sleep four people. Guests will appreciate high-end ceiling fans in every room, as well as new LG air conditioners (installed in July 2018) in each bedroom. This condo is a rare find, providing guests with recent/modern renovations, high-end furnishings and appliances, and excellent views, while still offering reasonable prices!
The unit features tile floors throughout the entire condo, as well as matching tile on the large lanai (which significantly increases the usable living area). The kitchen has been fully remodeled and contains quality wood cabinets, granite counters, modern sink/fixtures, very high quality stainless steel appliances (including stove, with full-size oven, large microwave, side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water in the door, and an ultra-quiet dishwasher). At the side of the kitchen area, there is a high-end, large capacity, stacked washer and dryer that is available for guest's use (which can be tucked away behind a beautiful woven-wood drape when not in use). The kitchen is fully stocked with quality dishware, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, and numerous small appliances (e.g., coffee grinder, drip coffee maker, electric tea pot, toaster, blender, rice cooker, crock pot, etc.) for guests to prepare and serve meals, saving funds for the multitude of other activities and adventures available on Maui. For those who prefer to eat meals out, there are numerous excellent restaurants within walking distance or very short drives. There are many renowned restaurants and chefs to pick from throughout Maui!
The unit's four seat inside dining table, comfortable sectional sofa, swivel/glider chair, and large (65") wall mounted curved screen Smart Ultra-HD TV (with separate blu-ray player) provide guests with a place to rest and relax between other Maui activities. The lanai also features a full size dining table and six comfortable chairs, as well as a large deck box for storage of beach gear. A large roll-down sunshade was installed on the lanai in July 2018, allowing all-day use of the lanai, with protection from the afternoon sun. Most guests choose to open the condo's many windows and doors to enjoy wonderful views and ocean breezes. Owner recently replaced and upgraded all windows throughout the unit to improve security, maximize solar protection, and ensure great views even when the windows may be closed. The condo features high-end ceiling fans in every room, as well as an LG 14,000 BTU room air conditioner in each bedroom. Guests have access to cable TV, high-speed internet/wi-fi, and phone service within the condo (at no additional charge).
The master bedroom features a Cal-King bed, individual air conditioner, a wall mounted flat screen TV, plenty of closet and dresser space, and direct access to a remodeled master bathroom with a walk-in tiled shower and brightly lit vanity area. The second bedroom also features a Cal-King bed, ample closet/dresser space, individual air conditioner, and convenient access to the hallway guest bathroom, including a shower/tub combination and lovely bathroom renovations.
The unit comes with assigned parking space #17. The Maui Parkshore complex features a lovely pool with lounge chairs and tables with sunshades. There is also a common barbecue area with multiple gas barbecue grills, as well as picnic tables and chairs under a covered patio. The pool and BBQ areas also provide convenient access to bathroom and shower facilities. The Parkshore complex is directly across from beautiful Kamaole Beach Park III, which offers another alternative for guests who like to swim. Lap swimming is also available at the beautiful, large public pool at the Kihei Community Center, about a 5-10 minute drive from the condo.
The Maui Parkshore complex features multiple stairwells (at each end and in the middle of the building), as well as an elevator servicing all floors. This condo is on the top (fourth) floor of the building. There are trash chutes at the end and in the middle of each building for the convenience of guests on the upper floors.
The complex is located across from Kamaole Beach Park III where visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and other fun in the sun on this beautiful white sand beach. The beach park features large grassy areas and many beautiful trees for those who wish to enjoy the beach, while remaining in the shade. Beach park facilities include a lifeguard station, bathrooms, outdoor shower facilities, a children's play area, tables/benches, and large grassy areas for relaxing, having picnics, playing games, etc. At the south end of Kamaole Beach Park III, there is a lovely nature trail where visitors can walk out to a point to enjoy spectacular views, look for turtles along the shore, watch whales (primarily during the winter months), etc. Don't forget to pack your binoculars for close-up viewing of whales, turtles, etc., from the beaches! Many other excellent beaches are only a short walk or drive away from the condo. Most of the beach parks in Kihei, as well as nearby Wailea and Makena, provide free public parking. At various nearby locations, guests can also rent or purchase gear (surf boards, paddle boards, snorkel/dive gear, etc.) and arrange for lessons to improve their skills! The owner of this condo supplies guests with beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a beach cooler, and some beach toys.
Please note that all guests must register upon arrival by leaving a completed registration form in the office next to the elevator. Information required for registration will be coordinated in advance of your stay. For everyone's safety/security, it is important for the on-site property manager to be aware of all residents/guests, as well as all cars that will be parked on the property. All guests must comply with the Maui Parkshore House Rules, intended to ensure the safety, security, and enjoyment of all guests and residents. Maui Parkshore is a no-smoking complex; smoking is strictly prohibited in the condos, on the lanais, and in all resort common areas (except for the designated, outside smoking area near the front of the complex, away from the building).
Owner lives in Maui and directly manges this condo. If owner is ever on vacation and unable to support the guest's directly, owner engages a local property manager to fully support the guest's needs. Contact information for the owner will be provided prior to the guest's arrival.
As guests plan their vacation in paradise, they are encouraged to consider purchasing travel insurance addressing potential issues such as trip interruption, loss or damage to personal items, etc. Owner wants all guests to have a pleasurable experience, even if unanticipated issues should occur.
