I could not imagine having a better stay in Paia. The location is walking distance to shops, restaurants, yoga, and the beach. The home itself felt like a true home away from home and there were so many small details that made the stay wonderful. The outdoor shower, lanai area, beach supplies, and well-appointed kitchen were some of our favorites.

This is probably the most immaculate, well stocked, and thoughtfully crafted VRBO we have ever stayed (Hawai'i and beyond)! James is a wonderful host and genuinely wants his guests to have a 5 star experience. The one minor question we had for him was resolved immediately and he responded quickly throughout the booking process. This home has everything you will need if you like to cook, hang out at the beach (chairs, linens, snorkel gear, boogie boards, coolers, ect), or relax on the patio. There wasn't a speck of dust when we checked in and everything was professionally cleaned. We always expect some bugs when we stay in Hawai'i (just the nature of the area), but there were NONE here! The location is easy walking distance of downtown shops/restaurants and local beaches...it's in the heart of everything. We'll absolutely try to book again next time we are in Maui!

This is our first visit to Maui and we wanted to stay at a location away from the large resort areas. Paia is a wonderful small town on the north coast. Luna House, owned by Jim Huntington, is a comfortable, well-appointed cottage just a block from the main intersection in Paia. It’s easy walking to terrific restaurants, funky boutiques, and a beach. Jim is an excellent & friendly host. Everything we needed was available at Luna House. We would definitely return here.

Location of house is within walking distance of beaches, restaurants, many shops and a short drive to beautiful countryside. Well cared for home with well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed the outside shower and patio area with water feature and beautiful plants and trees. Our family of four was very comfortable and enjoyed our two week stay very much. Jim is a great host. Highly recommended rental.

Awesome location right in Paia. Jim was easy to communicate with and helpful. The house is lovely! Best part was the outdoor shower and the little patio. Super functional kitchen as well. Would stay again!

My 8 yo daughter and I loved staying in Paia at Jim's amazing oasis. We both felt so comfortable and happy there. The outdoor shower and getting a shaved ice from across the street were my daughter's fave daily activities. I loved walking down to the private turtle beach and having so many magical moments there. I could go on and on about how wonderful and lucky we felt that we got to stay at Jim's vrbo location. Thank you so much Jim!!!
Paia is a beautiful town and it's perfectly located so it is easy to enjoy the island fully.

This is our 3rd visit to Maui and this is the best VRBO we’ve had. The house is well taken care of and had everything we needed. Jim welcomed us when we arrived and graciously let us stay longer on check out day to accommodate our late departure. We would definitely consider this property again!

Jim was amazing and so eager to make sure all our needs were met. The plantation style house had all the amenities you could ever want and MORE! The house is located a short walk away from the center of Paia which was very nice. If we ever return to Paia again, the Luna House is where we will stay.

A sweet & well appointed plantation house in a prime downtown Paia location, with lots of extras included! We had an excellent stay here with our two kids!
James was a wonderful host, allowed us to check in early & check out late…which was an amazing perk given our flight times! There are drinks waiting in the fridge & all kinds of beach items provided for our daily use. I would rent here in a heartbeat again!

My family and I had an absolutely amazing time while staying at James’ property in Paia. The house is even better in person, with absolutely everything we could have possibly needed. James is the best host I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting from, and I have stayed at PLENTY of rental properties on various vacations. If all you want to do is sit on 1 beach and have overpriced drinks delivered to you, this is not the place for you. This is for those of you who want to have adventures, explore and get some privacy too!
Paia is a great little town and you can walk to multiple shops, coffee, restaurants all within 5 mins of your front door. I recommend the car to go to the beach (never had a problem finding parking), but that is just a 5 minute drive away. You'll want the car to carry all the toys, towels and umbrellas (the house is well stocked with gear!). Just down the road is a nice beach with plenty of snorkeling and turtles, if you walk over to Secret Beach, look along the sea wall as we saw about 200!!! turtles swimming and eating.
During our stay (one of many to Maui) we hit up just about every part of the island from Hana to Lahaina to Wailuku to Wailea. Lots of beaches and plenty of fresh fish and fruit to prepare your own meals in your own kitchen (or just order take out or dine in!).
Very well equipped house, great host (Jim), nice neighbors and an awesome location. I would definitely stay here again!
