We were here for 10 days, it is a beautiful property. We celebrated our 40th anniversary here. The room is very nice the view of the ocean is fantastic with a view of the property then the ocean. You can see the ocean from the king sized bed! Dukes restaurant is quite frankly one of the best on the island.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay with KBM resorts. The resort property is beautiful and has beach access. The condo was also lovely, we will definitely be back!

Fantastic unit. Kind of weird how the carpets are shampooed each time we think….but just vacuum them when they dry and it is much better. You will understand this when you get there! Random I know :)

Great location, great property and great staff. Only problem I had was the light in the washroom was out the first day we got there and nobody came to fix it. Suffice to say getting ready was tough. I understand though bc I feel like they were short staffed and customers can be very demanding.

be returning to this property. Staff was also very good at this property.

If you have the option to book through KBM Hawaii, then do not hesitate. This was by far the best and most hassle free way of traveling to Maui for us. So much worry and stress was taken away as they made sure every detail was taken care of. From picking up our car to coming into the fully stocked condo with chocolates waiting for us. Thanks again KBM!

The accommodations in unit 423 at Honua Kai were excellent and the interaction with staff at KBM a pleasure. The resort is beautiful and we were able to view whales from our lani. Mahalo

The layout is great and the furnishings are high quality. Check in took less than 5 minutes. The parking is easy. It’s also a plus that this unit has beach chairs and umbrella in the closet. My stay was short, so having everything I needed let me enjoy my vacation right away!

We spent a LOT of money for the week and found several things in our unit that were not satisfactory: The bathroom had a small tub, we expected a whirlpool for 2; There was one mirror above the bathroom sink, no full size mirror in the unit; The lighting in the bathroom was extremely DIM, can't do your makeup there; No place to hang your clothing because of beach and pool equipment in the closet; When we walked into the living area, the floor had water present where the tile and carpet meet, and the bellman almost slipped. The water was from the freezer (door had been left ajar?); The freezer made a lot of NOISE and few ice cubes. We had to get ice from the underground parking; The carpet and couch were damp to the touch (maybe shampooed and not dried?). The lids on the pans should have a steam vent. One of the lids locked tight and we couldn't get it open until the pan cooled down. It would have been nice to have a Keurig Coffee maker for a single cup or two instead of brewing a pot. We were instructed NOT to touch the A/C thermostat and to not leave the glass door open. Many other units had nice ocean breezes with glass doors totally open. The patio chairs (2 out of 4) had thin back cushions, the others only had the thin seat cushion and even those were the wrong size, hanging over the edge of the chair.
For the amount of money that we paid, we would rate this place as a 6. GREAT VIEW but lots of issues...

Honua Kai is a very nice condo for just about anyone. The premises is well planned, with multiple nice pools and a Duke's restaurant onsite. The grounds are well kept. Many of the rooms, including this one, are clean, have a great view and still seem relatively modern. The condo is relatively quiet when it should be. Beautiful beaches are right out front. Our only complaints:
- We requested bedding for the sofa-bed that we didn't receive until our second night. The A/C and ceiling fan were cranked up on our arrival, so it was a cold first night for two of us.
- There were a couple of odd things about Duke's. Their voicemail says they are booked 6 weeks out for reservations, which is probably true. But if you just walk up, you can easily get a table. That's odd. In addition, the hostesses have got to go. They are not very friendly and won't even help people who arrive for take-out, which is steps from where they are stationed. Everyone else at Duke's is great.
- Probably due to COVID, there are no spices whatsoever in the kitchen. Not even salt and pepper. So that should be a consideration if you plan on making any meals.
KBM Hawaii is clearly focused on meeting your needs. They were very responsive and helpful. We have been to Honua Kai before and will return again. This studio had a great view of the pool and the ocean beyond.

We loved this room so much. It was very clean, nicely decorated and had great space. The kitchen was great with the huge island and the washer and dryer were very handy to have. They even had beach chairs and a cooler in the closet which came in handy. The resort itself was gorgeous, I don’t think we could stay anywhere else.

Honua Kai is such a beautiful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The Lanai was so dreamy with views of the ocean. The beach was so close and the beach walk was such a nice way to see more of the area. We would recommend this location to anyone going to Maui!

The studio room is the perfect size for a couple or individual looking to enjoy the comfort of home while away in paradise. Having access to the stovetop, oven, dishwasher, blender, full refrigerator and freezer, and laundry machines made it comfortable to stay for our nine day Maui getaway. Also the resort itself is great with several pools and hot tubs to choose from and direct access to some of the best beaches and snorkeling spots on the island. Would absolutely return and stay with KBM Hawaii again.
