This condo had it all! So nice upon our arrival to have cold bottles of water in the fridge and a box of chocolates. View from condo was spectacular--saw whales every day. We especially enjoyed that the condo had all the extras--4 beach chairs, binoculars, and a several coolers to choose from.

We canโt say enough about how impressed we are with this unit and Rick the property owner. It is obvious that every small detail has been thought about. It definitely feels like home away from home. All the furnishings are beautiful authentic Hawaiian. Everything is updated in the kitchen and bathroom. The king sized bed is very comfortable and we slept great every night. The views of the ocean and sunsets from the lanai and bedroom window are magical! The posted pictures do not lie! It also has great views of the pool area. If we could give this unit and Rick 10 stars we would. We will definitely be back to our little slice of heaven! Also want to mention the staff at Royal Kahana is very helpful and kind as well. Thanks Rick!

If we return to Maui we will definitely check this listing first - we enjoyed every moment of our time here. Really made us feel "at home" which allowed us to enjoy our vacation to the fullest. We totally enjoyed our time in Paradise! The Royal Kahana was a fabulous place to stay. It is well situated close to the best beaches and everything we love to do on the island. Rick has the unit well equipped with everything you might need for your vacation. Overall, our condo was very clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the ocean! Enjoyed watching the sunset from our lanai. The location was super convenient to drive to Whalerโs Village and to the town of Lahaina. I loved the fact that there was no hidden resort fee. We used the heated pool, but did not use the grill. Parking fee was very reasonable unlike what other resorts charged.
Rick, who I was in contact with was extremely helpful and always responded immediately or within hours with any questions/needs that we may have had. He kept us in the loop saying that he had to bring in a portable AC into our bedroom because the parts to repair the regular AC did not come in on time. Despite that, the portable AC worked very well, and my husband and I were able to sleep soundly and comfortably every night. We definitely would like to stay here again whenever we return to Maui.
It was a perfect cozy place to stay for our vacation!

My son slept in the pull out sofa, it was a great size place for the 3 if us, with some privacy.

Absolutely loved our stay! Rick's place was nothing short of phenomenal. We cooked most of our meals and being an avid cook, loved that we had everything we needed! Great cookware and sharp knives! Was a quiet location, had lunch and dinner on the patio and said hello to the resident turtle every day!

Rick the owner was very easy to work with & gave us complete & easy instructions for a wonderful stay. The condo & grounds look exactly as the pictures depicted. Easy access & locale from our adventures daily . Everything u need for day trips, picnics etc was provided. We loved taking in the daily sights of the ocean just outside from our own lanai . Sad to see the beach access is closed along the beaches in & around the condo . Erosion has taken a toll & they are trying to save the properties as the ocean walls have risen . All & all great stay ๐๐ป๐๐ป

Absolutely love this place. Super clean, well designed layout of the condo, amazing views from the lanai. Pool area has a deck right up to the beach where you can turn the chairs and look at the ocean from the pool. Condo was very well equipped with everything you need. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic visit, infact we loved it so much we were able to extend our stay a few days! Rick was a great host, super responsive, and the condo was fully stocked with everything (and more!) that you'll need for your beach vacation! We loaded the car with the beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards and were ready each day to hit the beach!
The A/C was damaged from a prior storm, but being on the 10th floor with the strong island breeze helped us stay cool.
We loved sitting on the balcony watching the whales.
Fantastic location, walking distance to the brewery, coffee shop, corner store, McD's, and 2 bars! Better than we could've asked for.

Our second time renting Rickโs place. It has all the โstuffโ - beach gear, beautiful sunset views, comfortable furniture and bed, equipped kitchen. Building amenities include a great pool and ping pong in the basement. Well located. Rick is the icing on top - a super responsive and kind host.

The condo is very nice, perfectly equipped, and that view from the balcony is AWESOME!

Rick's property is beautiful and the view is fantastic. He gave us great tips on rental cars. The neighborhood is laid back and less frantic than the Kaanapali area which we loved. We were really able to kick back and relax.

We were thrilled with the condo and it exceeded our expectations. It was so spacious for two people and so well equipped, it had everything you could need. The balcony and view was incredible and we spent every morning having fresh fruit and coffee watching the turtles, surfers and SUPs on the water. We would go for a swim every morning in the sea and there were turtles right beside us! And at night it was the perfect spot to have some drinks and watch the sunset.
It was our first time in Maui and we weren't sure what area to stay in, but Kahana was perfect as it was so close to each area and we spent our days beach hopping and exploring the island. The Royal Kahana was great with plenty of parking, great pool, and lovely staff.

Four of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at this perfect condo in Kahana. The teenagers stayed on the pullout sofa while the adults stayed in the bedroom. The condo was the perfect size for us and it was very nice having a full kitchen.
The view from the lanai is stunning! We enjoyed our breakfast while watching the waves crash on the beach below. The sunsets are extraordinary too!
Rick was very wonderful to work with. He replies to any questions very quickly and he will work to meet any needs you have. You won't need much though since the condo is stocked very well. Anything you would want is most likely in the condo.
Before I arrived, I told Rick I planned to propose to my girlfriend. I asked if he had any recommendations for locations. He showed me a picture of the heart shaped hole in a rock near the Nakalele Blowhole. I knew immediately this is where I wanted to pop the question and it was only 20 minutes from the condo. The proposal went perfectly and I thank Rick for the excellent recommendation.
We plan to come back to Maui next summer for our wedding. I will most certainly stay in this condo again.

The view from the balcony is amazing. Ocean view, watch the waves crash and you can even hear them from your bedroom. We saw beautiful sunsets.
The unit had everyhing you need, dishes, utensils, appliances, laundry, coolers, boogie boards, beach chairs etc... it had more than we expected.
Rick was easy to communicate with, he was very helpful and got back to us very quickly.
The location of this unit was very convenient. The beach was pretty quiet compared to others and we spent the majority of our beach time there after checking out other beaches, it is steps out the back door of the building. The BBQs were in great condition, seemed brand new.
We would definitley come back and stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience in Rick's place in Maui. The location was close to all of the best dining places in Lahaina and had a ton of shopping areas nearby. His unit was furnished beautifully and was clean and inviting. He also provided all the things we needed to explore the nearby beaches. Best of all was his view from the balcony - it had a full view of the ocean and was a joy to wake up to every morning. A big plus is also how affordable the place was compared to your resort options. Save your money by cooking some of your meals and stay in Rick's place instead - you won't regret it!

We really enjoyed our stay in Rick's condo! We spent 7 days and 8 nights here with our 5 month old little guy and I wish we could have stayed longer. Rick helped us arrange with Maui on the Fly a pack and play and highchair rental and they were waiting for us after our very late arrival into Maui. His condo has everything you could possibly need from beach towels to things to help you pack a picnic lunch at the beach (tupperware, ziploc bags, coolers, etc.). While the Royal Kahana is an older building, his unit is amazing and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We also enjoyed having breakfast out on the balcony every morning!
The pool was cleaned every morning and heated to the perfect refreshing temperature. Unlike other resorts we've been to in Hawaii, you never had to fight for (or save) chairs by the pool and there's plenty of shade and sun! While a lot of their beachfront has disappeared, you can walk down to the left and there's a great place to set up for the day, swim, or just enjoy the waves as they come in. There's also so many great beaches that are just a quick drive down the street as well. Be sure to check out the Gazebo for breakfast (the MacNut pancakes are to die for) but get there early and Maui Brewing for some amazing beers and dinner (it's a quick 5 minute walk)!

I'm a golfer so Kapalua was a short drive away and close to old town Lahaina where a lot of shopping and restaurants are available. This condo is beautifully decorated and updated. It has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and there are boogie boards, cooler, and other items for the beach available in the unit to use. Rick is quick to respond to any needs or questions you may have. I would highly recommend this unit and will rent it again when we return to Maui.
