Such a lovely place! Very relaxing and more laid back part of the coast. My whole family loved the condo, we would definitely stay here again. It was well equipped with everything we needed and the host was attentive to any requests we had. The condo complex had a large pool, grills, well maintained grounds and it's own private beach and calm ocean. Superb!

We lucked out and had fresh mango’s from the tree every day. The beach was gorgeous and we were so happy to have the sunset photos ops just feet from our door.

The property was great, excellent views from main floor lanai, even better from the upstairs lanai. The roll out awning was very convenient when it rained a little and also to reduce the sun shining directly in your eyes. All the extras, like the boogie board, floaters, snorkel gear and chairs were super helpful as well! The unit had everything we needed, and was in great shape. We got to swim with turtles on the private beach and relax by the pool. Tons of beaches only a couple minutes away, and great hiking not far either.

Absolutely beautiful condo. We visited as a family of 5 and it fit our group perfectly. The full kitchen has everything you need for cooking including oils and spices. The a/c in each room works great. There was lots of beach equipment available which saved us from having to rent elsewhere. The host also provided us with a pack n play and high chair for our baby. The property is immaculate and the beach front access and solar-heated pool were big highlights for the kids. The patio is perfect for eating outside and even has a retractable shade to keep the sun off. We will absolutely be returning to this wonderful spot!

The property was very clean and the view was awesome. The pool and BBQ area was especially helpful to have available. Loved we were able to have access to the beach. Very private and secluded. Being able to do laundry was very helpful. Our host kept us up to date regarding construction and power outage which was helpful to plan for dinner. Definitely would come back. Very nice and clean condo. We had a few issues at the beginning and I reached out. They were resolved the same day and the hosts were very responsive and understanding. Highly recommend! The pool is beautiful and best of all its not too crowded. We will definitely be back to Kahana Sunset! My 3 year old had a blast and wont stop talking about it!

The Kahana Sunset is a lovely small condo association. The grounds are beautiful and the small sandy beach is very nice. Overall, we had a great experience. There was some storm damage with a sink hole area that they are working on. The unit, B6, was a little dated. AC worked well. Kitchen was missing a few things (no large salad bowl) and none of the dishes matched. The washing machine would not fill with water.

The place has an amazing view of the ocean to wake up to every morning or watch in the afternoon! There is a small beach with beach chairs available where we would watch the sea turtles feed! The condo itself was comfortable. The issue was that the description stated there was A/C. The only cooling provided is three small units that sit on the floor and blow cool air - which did not help at all. We are hot the entire time. There are two tall fans in the living room also - moved around alot of hot air. The owner needs to invest in a split A/C units in the living room and both bedrooms like almost all the other units in this condo complex have.

Wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset! Comfy beds, amazing view, perfect for a weeklong getaway. Grounds are stunning and well maintained. Currently there is a part of the lawn that is blocked off and unusable due to a hole in the ground likely from the recent rainstorm the island had. Still plenty of other areas to enjoy. My only wish is that the unit E10 came with Tommy bahama chairs, snorkel gear, and a boogie board. It would’ve been nice to not have to rent from nearby snorkel bobs but besides that minor flaw the place is great.

Overall, the location was great-and the condo was well equipped. Loved having the beach stuff available to use. The unit definitely needs some updating and a really good deep clean as there was dust throughout that set off the allergies of my guests. The master bathroom fan/light sounds like a lawnmower and provides littler actual light for using in the middle of the night. When we arrived there was not enough towels or bedding to accommodate the total amount of guests we have reserved for, but they were quick to bring the additional items.

Everything was great except for the bed in the main bedroom, it was extremely worn out you sink into each other, or to the middle if alone. Im not fussy, by any means but this mattress needs to be replaced, and this is not the first review stating this. I would absolutely be back if the mattress was changed.

We were in town for a wedding and booked our stay here afterwards for some relaxation. Unfortunately, because of the second smaller Kona storm, we were unable to swim in the ocean, or hike many of the areas because of flooding. Luckily, the condo was a great place to hang out! We did not see any turtles on the little beach, most likely due to the storm. We did use the pool, even in the rain, but did not find any pool towels in the condo. The only suggestion we really had was that the router needs to be updated in the condo. While watching movies, it would close out on us quite often, and we would have to do hard restarts that would take a long time to reset. Our IT traveling companion said that the routers are at least 14 years old. Would not have been as much of a problem if the weather would have cooperated and we were outside more. But the overall comfort of the condo was nice.

Our stay was pretty good. Communication with the property manager was great. They were easy to get in touch with and proactive about communication for check in and check out. The location of the property is great. Nice pool, nice outdoor space. Many Maui hotels have a rocky coastline but this complex has some beachfront. The condo had everything we needed. There is A/C which is a big plus. I was surprised to realize the condo has 2 large balconies. Weather kept us from utilizing them but it’s a really nice feature.Our biggest negative, which others mentioned already, was the condition of the property. The owners have neglected updates. The listing photos show the outdated kitchen & decor. No surprise there but the place has a smell, like old, similar to an antique shop. A few cleanliness items I noticed- the coffee pot had coffee grounds still in it. A glass from the cabinet was noticeably dirty which made me distrust and re-wash all the dishes. Our daughter was sick one night and I had to strip the sofa bed down. The mattress was about the oldest & nastiest I’ve ever seen. Thank God for mattress protectors but we didn’t sleep on it again.I would definitely stay with Sullivan Properties in this complex again but pick a different unit.

This is without a doubt a 10/10 place to stay. Carol is a phenomenal host and sets the bar high as far as hosts go. The location was perfection, and the condo itself was immaculate, stocked with everything, and as cozy and spacious as they come! Kahana Sunset cannot be beat; it’s most definitely a hidden gem in West Maui. Honestly couldn’t think of a negative about the place or our experience even if we tried. We are counting down the days until we come back!!!

Parking was very close to the accommodation and we had no problem finding a place to park. We loved being able to see the ocean from the unit and we saw multiple whale from the deck. The home was well cared for, the beds were comfortable and the decor was nicely appointed and very inviting. We spent 17 days on 3 different islands and Vonn's home was the best accomodation by far. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Hopefully we'll be able to stay here again when we visit Maui again.

We really enjoyed the location of the condo and our unit had a beautiful ocean view. No air conditioning, which would have been preferred, but each room had a fan and screen so you could keep windows and sliding doors open. For our March stay this was ok. Overall these were perfect accommodations for the five of us. The two things I would mention to consider if the property is a good fit for your needs:- The hot tub was not hot. It was the same temperature as the pool. That was disappointing because we were looking forward to that for the evenings. This was really the only complaint and the reason why I dropped it to four stars. - The beach was was nice and sandy; however, it's pretty small and you can really only utilize the beach and swim during low tide so not extremely ideal for young kids. Snorkeling is possible but mediocre compared to some of the nearby beaches

Host interaction was minimal, but that was fine because we didn’t really need anything. This condo is in need of some TLC. There have been some updates done, but many more are needed. The carpet up the stairs and in the bedrooms is just disgusting. Furniture is old and sad. Walls need paint. Just lots of general updates are needed. Condo grounds are well maintained and pool is nice.
