We had everything we needed for our stay. Good location and convenient! My only issue was that it the floor could have been cleaner. There was quite a bit of dust and hair that didn’t belong to us.

We recently returned from our honeymoon stay at the Maui Kai and loved every minute of it! The most impressive thing about this unit is the unobstructed panoramic ocean views. Maui Kai seemed to the closest to the ocean out of all the surrounding buildings which provided unbeatable views of the sunrise, sunset, Lana'i & Molokai as well as all the incredible sea life in the reef below (sea turtles, Monk Seals, Dolphins, Whales; you name it!) The property managers provided binoculars in the unit which came in handy with spotting the sea life.
The unit was very tidy, well organized and seemed recently updated. Bedroom & Bathroom were stocked with enough linens for the 2 of us for the week. However, if you needed to wash anything, there was a laundry room on our floor very close to the unit.
Kitchen had all the necessary cookware & utensils and coolers and beach chairs were available for use. Parking was available on the premises and was included in our stay.
We would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in the Ka'anapali/Lahaina or just Maui in general. The location was close by to everything (beaches, hikes, restaurants, groceries, food trucks etc.) and was much more private & quieter compared to some of massive vacation clubs nearby owned by the big hotel chains.
Can't wait to get back one day!

Very clean and updated. Love the view from the lanai. Very comfortable mattress and AC is excellent. We are not big on using small swimming pools, but the pool, although small, was very clean and refreshing. Would stay here again.

We had a great stay at the condo. Everything was clean, the views were amazing, and the beach was right outside. Great location with food trucks and restaurants within walking distance. We’ll definitely be back!

This condo is depicted accurately in the photos. It was clean. The mattress is comfortable. The pool is very small and a bit dated. A few things that would make the stay BETTER...
1. foldable beach chairs are so needed, anyone over the age of 18 cannot lay on the beach with just a towel and be comfortable.
2. chip clips needed in the kitchen
3. the beach towels are just large bath towels. It would be nice to have regular sized beach towels.
4. Koozies for drinks would be appreciated
5. extra bath towels and beach towels would be fantastic as most people do not have time to do coin laundry while on vacation.

We stayed in Maui Kai 1005 for 10 nights at end of April 2022 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. I did a TON of research before selecting this unit. Main factors of us were = condition of the condo, ocean view, lanai setup, location on the island, quietness of the condo complex, and price. Our experience was a home run across the board. The top floor made for amazing views off the lanai, saw whales and turtles most days. The unit has been recently renovated, bed was super comfortable. Owner was responsive and timely in all the communications. Mike, the on-site operations director at Maui Kai is so helpful and friendly...we locked ourselves out of our unit one night...and called the emergency number posted on the office door...Mike answered, lives on site, and met us within 2 minutes! The beach in front of the complex is one you can walk along but not a place to swim...we found outstanding beaches within 5-10 minutes drive. Loved our stay, hard to imagine it being any better than it was!

This five-star property is not to be missed. The Maui Kai is a boutique condominium. This was our 30th visit to the property. The property manager, Kim Marie Lopez, at Epic Reality is exceptional!! Our favorite activity was sitting on the lanai watching whales.

Our family of three is not one to stay at a resort all day - we get out and explore! All we wanted for accommodation was a base to be right on the water to see and hear the waves and take it in before and after our daily Maui journeys and this was perfect. We would stay here again.

This property was nice enough, but pictures represented a bit more. I think personally I would prefer a resort atmosphere. I’ve now experienced both in Maui and resort is just my preference.

This was our 5th time renting this condominium in Maui. We absolutely love the unit. Watching the turtles under the lanai, as well as 🏄♂️ surfers. We love starting our day by climbing down the rocks next to the outdoor common deck and diving into the beautiful ocean, walking across the street to buy groceries at Times market, and frequenting the little restaurants in the strip mall. The condo was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Beautiful views and easy access to the beach were our priority, and you can't do any better. The nearby grocery store, restaurants, and food truck park were an extra bonus.

I’m super picky when it comes to vacation rentals. I’m a light sleeper so bed quality and sound at night are big. This bed was super comfy and so quiet (except the ocean) at night. Perfect location and I already miss waking up and seeing that view.

Location, lanai, and an overall AWESOME place! We have stayed at the Maui Kai before and keep coming back. Beach access was a bit tricky this time but if that is the only downside...
Breakfast and sunset on the lanai ... Magnifique!
Having beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas was a plus! A wonderful place to stay and if you are seriously considering it, stop and book it NOW!!

Maui Kai 1005 was perfect for our first return to Maui since we’re vaccinated and Covid restrictions are easing. We have stayed at the Maui Kai most years in many different condos for the past 20 years and 1005 was one of the nicest. We stayed for 9 nights in mid- May, a first for us as our usual travel to Maui is December. It was a bit more of a chore to travel to Maui this time; however, downloading the Hawaii Safe Travel app and receiving instructions from Epic Realty gave us the specific requirements for travel. Our travel to Maui went smoothly.The condo was spotless, with newer furniture and appliances and it was in great condition. The bed was comfortable and we slept well in air conditioned comfort since we had some warm, humid days during our stay. The best part of this condo is the million dollar, direct ocean view from the open lanai on the top floor. We spent most mornings and evenings watching turtles, fish, sunsets, catamaran cruises, surfers, snorkelers and other activities happening in the ocean.We enjoyed most of our usual Maui activities: swimming in the Maui Kai pool and nearby beaches, taking lots of walks on the beach and boardwalk, shopping and eating some favorite foods. Sadly restaurants were at only 30% capacity, so we weren’t able to eat in, but take out was available. We love Fish Market Maui for fresh local fish which they will prepare for you in a foil pan ready to bake in oven. We love their macadamia nut crust topped with Thai chili butter on mild fish like opakapaka or mahi-mahi. Another favorite place is Maui Prime where you can get high quality steaks, burgers seafood and fish. We made good use of the grills by the pool on this trip. Since we prepared more meals on this trip, we were happy the condo had a well equipped kitchen and even some spices. Epic Reality was professional, friendly and available to answer our questions. We will definitely look forward to another trip to Maui Kai soon.
